Meet The Saucy Southern Readers

My name is Kelley and I am the owner of this blog and publicist to several New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Independently published authors.  That’s right I said Indie.  They’re amazeballs and I’m their dirty little secret.

During the past several years, I’ve gained experience in marketing books including social media management, Facebook ads, giveaways, content editing, cover design consulting, and beta reading.  My goal is to use this experience to help other Indie authors that are just starting their journey or need a boost after being out there for a while.  I work with authors of all genres of romance.  We are equal opportunity book lovers at Smut Book Junkie Book Reviews.

I created this blog because I feel that if an author takes you on an amazing adventure you should tell everyone you know about it. We are not paid to read or review any of the books that you will find on this blog so you can always expect an honest review from us. Reading is a huge passion of mine and is my escape from all the lemons that life throws at me at sometimes. Curling up with a great book is my favorite pass time, because after all, who doesn’t want a sinfully hot man to carry you off into the sunset.

Hey, everyone, I’m Tracey, and I live in beautiful Southeastern North Carolina. I’m a mom to three great kids, all in the tween-teen years, and am married to a guy that keeps me laughing all of the time. I’ve been a fan of romance for longer than I can remember, but Christian Grey opened the door to a whole new world, and I quickly moved on to Gideon, a beautiful bastard named Bennett, and a whole bunch of hot vampire warriors, among others. Lauren Blakely, Jessie Evans, and Kristen Proby are some of my favorites, and, thanks to lovely friends that I’ve met through reading, I’m finding more great authors to love all of the time. If you’re looking for me, it’s likely that I’ll be curled up with a cup of tea, a cat or three, and a good book, in search of my next HEA.

Hi! I’m Michel Reinhard. I am a book reviewer from the former Hesperia Loves Books Blog. Unfortunately, the blog had to close. I am happy to be collaborating with the lovely ladies here at Smut Book Junkie.

I reside in the South with my lovely family. We are your typical American family. Always on the run and crunching for time. Each of us has our own personal interests and passions. The one thing we have in common is our dedication to each other and our love for each other.

My passion has always been reading. I have been very involved in the book world for many years. I love sharing this passion with others whether it is book reviews, author spotlights, upcoming releases, or book signings.

Authors are my rock stars. Books are my drug of choice. I am never without a book in hand. At times I will have two or three books going on my different ereaders.

My reading preferences are contemporary romance, romantic suspense, erotica romance, new adult romance, and some paranormal romance. My to be read list is larger than the state of Tennessee.

My honest opinion is there is never a “bad” book. If an author has taken the time to write from the heart, I as a reader will embrace it. It may not be my cup of tea or my favorite reading genre. That’s okay. I have the ultimate respect for the work. I write my reviews based on my own emotional experience and interaction with the book. I base my reviews on plot, characterization, pacing, dialogue, character compatibility, the overall flow of the story, and editing. I also look at the cover and overall presentation of the book. I strive very hard to deliver an honest review that will help readers in their reading selections.

robinMy name is Robin Segnitz, and I consider reading to be my greatest passion and escape!  My hometown is Lexington, Kentucky, where I have lived my entire life.  My favorite genres include Coming of Age, Contemporary Romance, New Adult, Paranormal Romance, Psychological Thriller, Romantic Suspense, Urban Fantasy, Women’s Literature, Young Adult, and Young Adult Dystopian, with a focus on novels written by independent authors, throughout. Some of my favorite authors are Tarryn Fisher, Colleen Hoover, Karina Halle, Willow Aster, Karen Marie Moning and J.R. Ward. Favorite series of mine include Love Me With Lies, Experiment in Terror, Fever and Black Dagger Brotherhood.

The Smutty Librarians are an amazing group of actual Librarians who reside south of the Mason-Dixon line.  They have a passion for books that led them to a career in Library Science. Each one of them enjoys different genres of romance and we are super excited to have them contribute to our blog.  These fabulous ladies meet once a month to talk about their favorite Smutty books and always have a very lively discussion.  To be a fly on the wall in that room…They are also very involved in their communities and local RWA chapter.

“Go read.” My mother always told me that when I was young and bored, so my lifelong love of books developed at an early age.  A Linda Howard book hooked me on romance and now I read everything from contemporary to paranormal, from sweet to erotica. But it’s got to have a happy ending, or at least the potential of one if the story is spread out over several books. I live in Chattanooga, TN, work full time, am married to my true love, and we have one son who is a firefighter and my real life hero.
