Beckett Taylor’s quest to be a better man has brought Eve Hartt back into his

their past continues to crash down around them.

Yet with the help of this brothers–and for his brothers–Beckett won’t stop trying.

He’s determined to make them all a family, to make a life they want to

live, and to make Poughkeepsie a place that’s safe to live it.

He can feel their futures balanced precariously on his shoulders: Blake

and Livia and their children, Cole and Kyle and the new baby they’ve

just brought home, and Eve…always Eve. He wants their dreams to be real.

But murderers don’t just get Happily Ever After handed to them. They

have to wrench it away from Satan himself. Good thing Beckett is prepared to do just that.

After all, saving Poughkeepsie is the only way his story ends.

Excerpt

I’m not worried about tomorrow. I’m worried about right now, with you, under this Christmas tree.” Blake supported her neck as he laid her on the floor.

Livia turned her head. “You’d better convince me. So far you’ve talked about the dog going to the bathroom, trash, and dirtiness.”

Blake kissed her jaw and turned her head gently, kissing her mouth as she bit her lips together.

“Can’t I just convince you with my manly ways?” He wiggled his eyebrows.

He could, of course, do just that—but she shook her head. She loved the playful sparkle in his green eyes. His five o’clock shadow just made him more handsome, framing his kissable lips with scruff.

“Okay.” He put his fingers at the bottom of her shirt, lifting it gently so he could circle her belly button with his index finger. “You’re the sexiest, most beautiful woman on this planet. So sexy, in fact, that I had to have you. I had to make you bear my children because my universe and yours had to be combined. Everything I’ve ever been needed to be buried inside of you, so deep, so full of love that we created life. Twice.”

He lifted her shirt and kissed the tops of her breasts, whispering his devotion into her skin. “And it’s never enough. Unless I can hear you coming, I can’t think of anything else. All day every day. For years now. You’re that powerful, Livia. This. Us. It’s so intense that years haven’t cured me. I can’t stop wanting to make love to you.”

“Wow.” Livia smiled and pulled his face back to hers, kissing him and effectively stopping his beautiful words.

Michel’s Review

The Poughkeepsie Brotherhood series by Debra Anastasia is one of my all time favorite series I have read.  When I first read Poughkeepsie in 2013 I was blown away by the unique story line, the extraordinary characters, and the riveting plot.  I was mesmerized by these extraordinary characters and their lives.  All of the characters are tied together in some way or the other.  Their parallel lives come together in unsuspecting ways and forge bonds that are unbreakable.

A homeless man, a man of the cloth, and a hardened crime lord are tied together for life.  They are brothers by choice.  One keeps their hearts pure, one keeps their souls redeemable, and one protects their lives.  These three men are formidable in their own way.  Together they are a powerhouse that cannot be destroyed no matter how powerful their enemies are.  The strength of their brotherhood cannot be broken.  They are the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood.

Saving Poughkeepsie is the third and final book of the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood series.  The brothers have found the loves of their lives and now have families of their own.  Taylor Beckett has returned to Poughkeepsie for good.  He has won the heart of his beloved, Eve.  He has a new lease on life.  He has given up his criminal activity and is working to become a respectful citizen of Poughkeepsie.  He wants to build a safe environment for all those he loves.  He wants to give the people of Poughkeepsie a city that is safe, a city that  lends opportunities to those who are down and out, and unites them as a community.  He wants to go legit.  This is his dream.

The only thing standing in the way of Beckett’s dreams are the powerful enemies he has made throughout the years.  He sold his soul to the devil.  Now the devil wants to take him out.  The devil wants his woman.  The devil wants something only Eve can give hime.  The devil has something Beckett can’t give Eve.  The price tag is high.  The ultimate prize is Poughkeepsie.

Taylor Beckett is not one to lay down and roll over.  He will use every resource he has to keep his woman.  He will use every resource to keep his brothers and their families safe and in Poughkeepsie.  He will use every resource to destroy his enemies.  His resources come in many forms.  He has unlimited money, unlimited fire power, unusual alliances, and a cunning mind.  Taylor Beckett will find a way to send the devil to hell even if it means going back to his criminal ways.  Taylor Beckett will not be defeated.  Poughkeepsie will not fall to the hands of the devil.  Taylor Beckett is back!

In the end, some lives will be lost and some lives will be saved.  Taylor will win the battle and save Poughkeepsie.  The biggest victory will be the gift the enemy has left behind.  Taylor and Eve will get their happily ever after.  The Poughkeepsie Brotherhood will stand tall.

Saving Poughkeepsie was the grand finale for the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood.  This book was loaded with action, full of heart wrenching moments, edge of your seat suspense, and sizzling hot romance.  The characters were charismatic and stayed true to their hearts.

Debra has the gift of combining humor, wit, suspense, emotional scenes, and scorching bedroom scenes.  Her words flow flawlessly.  Her creative dialogues have the readers laughing out loud while bawling their eyes out.  Her characters are larger than life and jump off the pages.  These books are like watching an oscar winning movie in your head.

I highly recommend the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series.  It is one of the most compelling series I have read.

Book 1

He counts her smiles every day and night at the train station. And morning and evening, the beautiful commuter acknowledges him-just like she does everyone else on the platform. But Blake Hartt is not like the others . . . he’s homeless. Memories of a broken childhood have robbed him of peace and twisted delusions into his soul. He stays secluded from the sun, sure the world would run from him in the harsh light of day. Each day, Livia McHugh smiles politely and acknowledges her fellow commuters as she waits for the train to the city. She dismisses this kindness as nothing special, just like her. She’s the same as a million other girls-certainly no one to be cherished. But special or not, she smiles every day, never imagining that someone would rely on the simple gesture as if it were air to breathe. When the moment comes that Livia must do more than smile, without hesitation she steps into the fray to defend the homeless man. And she’s surprised to discover an inexplicable connection with her new friend. After danger subsides, their smiles become conversation. Their words usher in a friendship, which awakens something in each of them. But it’s not long before their bond must prove its strength. Entanglements from the past challenge both their love and their lives. Blake’s heart beats for Livia’s, even if her hands have to keep its rhythm. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love never fails. Love never fails, right? In an interwoven tale of unlikely loves and relationships forged by fire, Debra Anastasia takes readers into the darkest corners of human existence, only to show them the radiant power of pure adoration and true sacrifice. Complicated families and confused souls find their way to light in this novel, which manages to be racy, profane, funny, and reverent all at once.

Book 2

Beckett Taylor is a murderer. His calling, his craft are destruction and intimidation–whether he wants it that way now or not. He left Poughkeepsie to keep his brothers safe, to keep Eve safe. Set up with happy lives to live, they’re better off without him, right? But all his willpower crumbles when he hears his brother Blake’s frantic voice on the phone. An unknown enemy has moved in on his old territory, and Livia’s been taken. In an instant, Beckett knows it will take an attack only he and Eve can execute to bring her back. All his self-imposed embargoes are torn to shreds, perhaps along with the new man he’s struggled to become. “Brother, call Eve. I’ll be there soon.” In this emotional and action-packed sequel to Poughkeepsie, Debra Anastasia conjures a tale of love at its most raw and ragged. With Beckett and Eve, how could we expect anything less? But even when it’s messy, not magical, true love perseveres. Real love finds a way–for better or worse until death does part.

Smaller SHh Debra Anastasia TwitterThere are a lot of eyes in Debra Anastasia’s house in Maryland. First, her own creepy peepers are there, staring at her computer screen. She’s made two more sets of eyes with her body, and the kids they belong to are amazing. The poor husband is still looking at her after 17 years of marriage. At least he likes to laugh. Then the freaking dogs are looking at her—six eyeballs altogether, though the old dog is blind. And the cat watches her too, mostly while knocking stuff off the counter and doing that internal kitty laugh when Deb can’t catch the items fast enough.

In between taking care of everything those eyes involve, Debra creates pretend people in her head and paints them on the giant, beautiful canvas of your imagination. What an amazing job that is. The stories hit her hard while driving the minivan or shaving her legs, especially when there’s no paper and pen around. In all of the lies she writes hides her heart, so thank you for letting it play in your mind.

Debra is eternally grateful to Omnific Publishing, which has now published five of her books: two in the Seraphim Series and three in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series, as well as her novella, Late Night with Andres. That one is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!)

You can find her at DebraAnastasia.com and on Twitter @Debra_Anastasia. But be prepared…
