Synopsis

Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.

But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

Who says “The Boom” is reserved for Mayson men?  June Mayson would disagree. When she met Evan Barrister her heart exploded.  When Evan Barrister had divorce papers served to her, her heart shattered.  Sometimes “The Boom” is more than an explosion of the heart, it can shatter the heart.  June Mayson is a casualty of “The Boom”.  The only thing she can do is move on or become a lesbian.  Neither seems to be the right choice for her battered heart.  Her Daddy or her uncles can’t fix whats been broken.  Only time can.

June Mayson has a problem picking the wrong men.  With a destroyed marriage behind her , she has moved on.  The only problem is that she’s picked another loser.  This time around the loser almost landed her in jail.  He has put her life in danger and now her dad and the Mayson crew have to step up and protect her. What she didn’t count on was her ex husband being a part of that crew.  Her heart is in even more danger.

Evan Barrister married June Mayson when he was a naive young man.  He didn’t anticipate the military and war turning him into a man he can’t recoginize in the mirror.  He gave June up so that she could have a better life.  One he couldn’t give her.  Time has a way of healing and now he wants his woman back.  He will do anything to win her heart and keep it whole for the rest of her life.

Evan and June have a hard road ahead of them.  Only their love can heal their broken hearts.  Only love can make their futures better.  Can June find the forgiveness Evan deserves?  Will her dad kill Evan for hurting his baby girl or will he finally let go?
