Synopsis

Does it bother you that you’re ten years older than me?

Have you ever thought it’s wrong that you watched me fuck another guy on camera for months?

What do you want from me, really? All I wanted was my letter of recommendation, but now I’m stuck, aren’t I? Stuck under your thumb… And your body.

From cam girl to personal whore, and all by the age of twenty-one. You’ve got me good, haven’t you?

But guess what? I can play too. Grab the polish, because I’ve found your skeleton, and it’s time to dust.

I’ll see you in class.

Oh and, Sir? I’m not wearing any panties.

Love, Darcy

P.s. you’re an asshole.

(Dear Professor is a standalone novel with strong adult content. This is not your conventional student/teacher romance. These characters are real. They do stupid shit. You will probably want to stop reading… Don’t.)

Tracey’s Review

Dear Professor, well played, sir. Well played. Xoxo, Darcy.

Darcy Hamilton has a secret. Well, sort of. A Dalton Cam Girl, Darcy is paying her way through college by putting herself out there. As in, having sex in front of a camera. Professor Jordan Keaton has a secret, too. He knows what Darcy has been up to, because he’s been watching her, and he’s ready to up the ante in a very big way.

Those books that come out of nowhere, the ones with the blurb that totally draws you in and make you say, ‘Okay, now, I have got to read this book.’ Yeah, so DEAR PROFESSOR by Blaire Drake, it’s one of those books.

This book is all kinds of hot. I’m talking heat coming off the page, making a fan and extra undies a necessity kind of hot. But DEAR PROFESSOR is more than just a steamy read. It’s the story of two people that, against all expectations and odds, find that thing that brings them out of the ‘survivor’ mode that they’ve been operating in, and back to the realization that life goes on, and it can be better than they ever expected.

At first glance, neither Darcy nor Jordan seem particularly likable. She has no problem selling herself, and actually seems to take pleasure in what she’s doing. And Jordan, well, he’s a creep to the nth degree, finding nothing wrong with blackmailing Darcy into being his very own sex toy. But as the two forge a deal ensuring that Darcy gets what she wants from Jordan, which is a glowing letter of recommendation to ensure her acceptance to law school, and that he gets what he wants, which is no-holds-barred sex on demand, lines begin to blur. What begins as a forbidden relationship meant as a means to an end for the two of them evolves into an emotional journey of healing, as both Darcy and Jordan discover that by pushing each other to their limits, they are uncovering needs that neither of them anticipated.

I absolutely devoured DEAR PROFESSOR, and couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough. The heat, the sizzle, the constant back and forth drew me in, and the development of both Darcy and Jordan and their growth kept me reading straight through to the end. An added bonus is the quirky cast of characters that make up Darcy’s circle of friends, the whip smart dialogue, and the edginess that drives the characters and their story. I’m happy to give 5 stars to author Blaire Drake for a job well done, and DEAR PROFESSOR, a welcome addition to the teacher/student trope. This is one of my 2015 favorites, and one you will want to add to your TBR.
