EXCERPT REVEAL

She licked him back up to his head, then rubbed him against her lips, because she knew that drove him wild. Seeing his cock being caressed and loved by her mouth was his undoing. His eyes darkened, and he shut them briefly, his head falling back against the leather seat as he speared her hair with his strong fingers. “Get those lips back where they belong. All the way around me.”

“It’s going to be the two-minute treatment then,” she said, blowing a stream of air against him, and he opened his eyes to hitch in a breath. “Say you want it fast. Admit I can make you come in two minutes,” she said, rubbing his throbbing erection across her lips once more to show him she knew the path to his pleasure.

“Do it,” he growled.

That was all she needed to reacquaint his cock with the back of her throat, wrapping her lips tight around the base, and sucking hard. She cupped his balls, rolling them against her fingers, and that drew out a long, deep groan. She smiled to herself at his reactions, loving that she could do this to him. She continued on her quest, sucking hard, licking teasingly, and delighting in every second of it as his groans grew louder and his fingers gripped her tighter. She finished him off quickly, savoring the taste of him in her mouth and the sound of his grunts in her ears.

When she returned to her seat as he zipped his jeans, she nearly shot out of the moonroof as the signs for Teterboro Airport loomed closer.

“This is definitely not Newark,” she said, her voice practically a shout. “Where are you taking me?”

“Welcome to the executive airport, gorgeous. We’ll be flying in a private jet to Vegas.”

CHAPTER THREE

Friday, 8:58 a.m., New York

“Ladies first,” Clay said, gesturing to the steps that unfolded from the gleaming silver Cessna that looked like a bullet. She squeezed his arm, then walked up the steps. No, that was wrong, he corrected himself. She strutted, wiggling her sexy ass for him, happily heading into the jet.

Keeping her busy on the ride over had been the best distraction—in and of itself—and because it preserved the sheer surprise that he’d wanted to elicit from his woman. The jet was one part of the weekend he’d mapped out for Julia in Vegas. Every detail was planned to a T; every gift arranged in advance. He wanted to shower her with luxuries, capping them all off tomorrow with the one he was most eager to give her—a three-carat emerald-cut diamond ring as he asked her to be Mrs. Clay Nichols forever and ever. The ring was safely in Sin City already; he’d had it shipped from Tiffany’s, and sourced from a diamond mine in Canada, one of many that operated by socially responsible guidelines in the diamond business. His brother, Brent, had the ring under lock and key at his place in Vegas. Clay had contemplated having the ring shipped to the home he and Julia shared in the West Village, but when she’d playfully confessed one evening last month while lounging on their balcony, drinking scotch and looking at the stars, that she’d been the kid who peeked at her Christmas presents early, he knew it was safest to keep the ring far away from her prying eyes.

“McKenna almost ratted me out one year. She found me re-taping a Christmas package early one morning when I was ten, I think. My face turned bright red, but then I told her our cat was playing with an ornament, and had knocked a few presents around, so the tape must have come off.”

He’d laughed at her cover-up. “And she believed that far-fetched, multi-layered fib?”

Julia shook her head, a self-deprecating grin curving her lips. “Nope. So I tried another tactic. I gave her my most prized possession in exchange for her silence—my scrapbook of all these fabulous Jordan Catalano snapshots from My So-Called Life,” she’d said, and he’d smiled at the mention of the TV show she and her sister had been huge fans of when they were growing up. That was something else he and Julia had in common; not that show, but an affection for movies and TV as entertainment and as touch-points for special moments in life.

“You are deviously clever, and I also want to thank you for the advance warning that I should never leave any Christmas gifts for you under the tree until Christmas morning when Santa arrives.”

She’d pretended to pout. “No fair.”

“So fair,” he’d countered, as his mind whirred through the best options for keeping a ring far, far away from those exploring eyes and fingers. When he’d told her at her bar the other night that he’d planned to take her to Vegas for the weekend, she’d blatantly stated that she hoped he might get down on one knee, so he certainly wasn’t trying to catch her off-guard with his proposal. They were open with each other about their desire to be married someday soon. But the details? The where, when, and how of it? That’s what he could have fun with, moving puzzle pieces around, keeping her on her toes and hopefully finding a way to surprise the woman he loved, adored and cherished.

Cover Reveal + Exclusive Teaser: Cowgirl Crazy by Becky McGraw

COWGIRL CRAZY (#2, Cowboy Way) by Becky McGraw coming 7/21/14!

cowgirlway.jpg

Synopsis

COWGIRL CRAZY (#2, Cowboy Way) by Becky McGraw

Twyla Taylor is one frustrated cowgirl. She’s not winning at barrel racing or in love. She’s spent ten years nursing a crush on her brother’s best friend, Ryan Easter, who thinks of her as no more than his little sister. When Twyla catches Ryan with yet another no-good buckle bunny, and calls him out, he tells her to get a life, and that is exactly what she decides to do. One that does not include a buckle-bunny-chasing cowboy with a bad attitude, or an overbearing older brother.

Ryan Easter is one frustrated cowboy. He’s winning every night at bronc riding, and has a different woman in every city. Mostly so he can keep his best friend’s fiery little sister, and his desire for her, at bay. Since she grew those proud little breasts of hers, and mile-long legs, Ryan has had to fight his attraction to her. If her brother knew what he was thinking, he would kill Ryan, if her daddy didn’t first. Ryan valued the surrogate family the Taylor’s provided him with too much to ever go there with their youngest member.

His diversion techniques work like a charm, until one night he pushes her too far, and Twyla takes off. Ryan knows he has to find her quickly and apologize, or face his best friend’s wrath. He finds Twyla in Dallas and decides she’s definitely gone cowgirl crazy. He barely recognizes her, because his barrel-racing tomboy is wearing makeup that looks like it was put on with a putty knife and she’s working at a bar which borders on a cowgirl strip club.

When she isn’t serving shots off of her stomach, she’s shaking her round ass for any man with a dollar to shove into the waistband of her barely-there shorts.

Twyla refuses to leave with him, and Ryan knows he better make his final arrangements, or come up with another way to convince her and fast.

Ignoring her comment, and what had to be her obvious discomfort, Ryan stepped forward, leaned over her to balance his shot glass about two inches under her navel. Heather always put it at the base of her ribcage, so a little would spill into her navel, but Ryan had put his lower. Her muscles contracted, as the cold glass touched her skin and heat zinged through her and she thought about him licking her up to the glass, before taking the shot.

The amber liquid sloshed in the glass, and he frowned. “No spilling, Twy, or there will be consequences.” His eyes met hers and his pupils were dilated almost as large as the blue irises. His breathing came in short spurts, and she could see his pulse pounding at the side of his throat. The look on his handsome face said he would relish delivering those consequences. “By the time I’m done, I’ll really need that drink.”

A shiver worked itself up her body from her toes, and the glass wobbled. She gasped and contracted her muscles to steady it. Agitation bristled through her. “Why don’t you just have the damned shot then, and get on with this?” That’s what she really wanted.

His hand clamped on her ankle, and he grinned. “Patience is a virtue, darlin’. Slow is not always a bad thing, and I’m about to teach you that, and a lot more.” His voice was heavy with anticipation, and his sensual threat was punctuated by his tongue making a trip around his hot lips.

Her eyes followed it around and heat sizzled along her nerves to singe her at the apex of her thighs. Maybe this is why all those bunnies she saw leaving his trailer were smiling. They must have had the patience he was talking about, and liked that Ryan was slow as a turtle in his lovemaking. Twyla wasn’t sold on it yet, but deciding to try to find the patience he asked her to have, she a huffed a breath then relaxed and uncurled her fists.

What the hell did she know about all this, anyway? She was green as grass at this, he knew what he was doing. Had done it many times. Too many. “Get on with it, then,” she grumbled, settling her focus on keeping that shot glass steady on her lower abdomen.

Ryan’s dark head appeared in her line of vision, and Twyla gasped. His eyes met hers over the plane of her tummy, and were filled with mischief and purpose. His hot breath tickled her thighs when he warned, “Keep it still, Twyla. No spilling.”

He slid his hands, behind her calves, and under her thighs to hold her hands at her sides, then turned his face and he planted a wet kiss on her inner thigh. His mouth latched there and he sucked, while his tongue swirled on her skin. Fire zipped up to her core, her muscles contracted, and Twyla whimpered. The glass wobbled and she knew right then that she was in big trouble.

Tracey’s Review

With the recent revelation of Rebecca’s death, Mark Compton finds himself lost. He’s been the one in control since he left his family in New York for his own life as the owner of Allure in San Francisco. Dealing with the loss of Rebecca, and his belief that he is in part responsible, along with his mother’s illness, has left him adrift. He is used to being the master, the one to whom others submit. Meeting Crystal Smith, his mother’s second-in-command at Riptide, has shaken him, too. Accustomed to calling the shots, in the business world and in the bedroom, he finds himself unable to stay away from Crystal, no matter how many times he tells himself otherwise. For her part, Crystal is strong and independent, drawn to the darkness and need she sees in Mark, but she is no man’s sub, and is unwilling to submit to him.

‘My Hunger’ picks up directly following ‘The Master Undone.’ A confession has been made and recanted in Rebecca’s death, and now all eyes are on Mark. Between his own troubles and dealing with his mother’s cancer, he has had to rely on Crystal more and more. Crystal makes him question everything about the life he’s leading when he’s with her, but there seems to be things that she is keeping hidden about her past, as well.

I was not sure how reading about a new relationship for Mark would be after finding out that he was the Master to Rebecca’s sub and seeing how heartbroken he was after finding out about her death. But, I have to say, seeing him have to deal with an equal in Crystal and lose control is really very refreshing. He has been such the ultimate alpha male throughout the ‘Inside Out’ series that it almost makes him seem more human. There are still things from his past yet to be revealed, I’m guessing, so I’m really interested to read ‘I Belong To You,’ which is the last novella in Mark’s POV, and ‘No In Between,’ the next full-length book in the series. As with all of Lisa Renee Jones’ books, this was definitely a 5-star read for me.

“I need to look at your shoulder again before you lay down,” she said
at his back.
He didn’t answer, just found the closest bedroom and pulled her
inside. Closing the door with his boot, he tugged off his jacket and tossed it
on a chair to his right, then did the same with his T-shirt and pulled her
toward the bed.
“Impatient, aren’t you?” she mumbled. He set the bag of supplies
they’d picked up on the bed beside him while she shrugged out of her
sweatshirt, dropped it on the ground, then began gently peeling away his
bandages.
Zane closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath. “I’m a man,
darlin’.  We’re always impatient.”
“I remember. This actually looks pretty good. I’m just going to change
the dressing.”
He didn’t want to think about what she remembered. He had enough
memories pinging around in his brains for both of them—and most were the
X-rated variety. He sat still while she removed the soaked bandages, added
antibiotic ointment and covered the wound again. But his stomach clenched every
time her soft fingers grazed his skin, and with every breath he drew, a whiff
of that sweet peach scent bombarded him, amping his awareness and sending blood
straight to his groin.
“There,” she said, placing the last piece of tape over the wound. “Now
you just need to take these before you pass out and you should be good.” She
handed him two pills from the bottle they’d picked up at the pet store and
stepped away.
He snagged her by the wrist. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“To get you a glass of water.”
“No water.” He popped the pills in his mouth and dry swallowed them.
There was just enough light coming through the window to see her exasperated
expression. “Wow. What a stud you are.”
He ignored the sarcasm and patted the mattress beside him. “Get
comfortable, sweetheart.”
She sighed. “Look, Archer. I—”
He jerked her toward him. A yelp slipped from her lips just before she
fell into his body. Heat immediately enveloped him, but he quickly flipped her
to her back, then climbed over her.
“Archer—”
Her warning was laced with just a touch of fear. Just enough to tell
him he’d surprised her. And considering nothing seemed to surprise this woman,
he was using that to his advantage.
He grasped both of her arms at the wrists and pinned them above her
head. Pain ricocheted from his shoulder down his arm and back up again, but he
ignored it. Just like he tried to ignore her trim hips locked between his knees
and the way the light from the window spilled over her breasts and bare abdomen
in that revealing top. “Here’s how this is going to work, sweetheart. I’m going
to close my eyes for a few hours and you’re going to stay right here beside me
where I know you can’t get into any trouble. Then, when I wake, I’ll call
Carter and we can both be rid of each other for good.”
She pursed her lips and lifted her chin, a clear challenge glinting in
her eyes. “I’d like to be rid of you right now.”
“Too bad. You’re stuck with me.” He lowered his weight onto hers, let
go of one arm and cinched the zip tie hidden in his hand around her wrist.
“Archer… What the hell?”
Zane looped the second zip tie through hers, tightened it around his
own wrist, then rolled off her onto his back and drew in a deep breath.
“Oh, my God.” She sat upright. “You did not just do that. Where the fuck did you get more zip ties?”
He yanked on her arm until his lowered back to the bed. “I stole them.
You’re not the only one who can filch goods unnoticed, beautiful.” He relaxed
back into the pillows and closed his eyes. “Now lie down.”
“You are so gonna pay for this.”
He didn’t need to see the smoke pumping from her ears to know it was
there. He could hear it in her voice and feel it in the heat radiating from her
skin. A wry smile curled his lips. “I figure I’m already doing time in
purgatory, thanks to you. A few more years won’t kill me.”
“And to think,” Eve snapped as she flopped back onto the bed, “I was
actually worried about you.”
Zane’s humor faded. “We both know you weren’t worried. You were just
biding your time until you could run. I’m not a stupid southern hick,
sweetheart. Now shut up so I can get some sleep.”
“Don’t mind me,” she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest and
dragging his hand with her. “I’ll just be sitting here plotting all the ways I
can murder you in your sleep.”
He chuckled. Now that was the feisty brunette he remembered. “Just do
it quietly. I’m beat.”
She let out a long, frustrated sigh, but the sound didn’t irritate
Zane like it should, instead it relaxed him. And man, either he was seriously
losing it or all those drugs had finally fried his gray matter. Because lying
next to his archenemy, feeling her heat and smelling her soft, arousing scent, he
suddenly wasn’t focused on revenge. Losing himself in all her softness sounded
a hell of a lot better. And more fun. And, holy hell, way more fucking erotic.
He just wasn’t sure what to do about it.

Temptation CoverShe needs to be good.

Five years ago, Kit Landry was homeless and alone at sixteen. Determined to ditch her crappy life, she moved to Nashville with only $200, her guitar, and a notebook full of songs. She hit it big as America’s country sweetheart, but a year of living like a rock star plus a stint in rehab has killed any good will she had with her label. The suits have ordered Kit to shape up or ship out of the limelight. The last thing she needs is a hot, sexy distraction with a sinful smile.

He doesn’t know the meaning of the word.

Max Butler is as far from a celebrity as you can get and he likes it that way. A Nashville firefighter, he’s living the single life with a revolving door of parties, friends, and a different woman in his bed every night. When his normal life suddenly collides with the girl on his favorite Rolling Stone cover, he sees the perfect chance to fulfill his ultimate fantasy and see just how bad Kit can be.

Sometimes bad is so very good.

With three weeks until Kit leaves for her big tour, Max promises to give her a break from being the good girl–no strings attached. But when hot days lead to sultry nights, the lines get blurred and suddenly three weeks of bad might not be good enough.

 Excerpt:

Finished with his ribbon, I rested my hands on his chest and leaned up to kiss his cheek.

Under my hands, his chest constricted with his swift intake of breath at the moment my lips touched his skin. I inhaled deeply, soaking in his scent of cedar wood, citrus, and warm male while the blood pounded in my ears and my skin grew warmer. Pulling away, we both exhaled slowly as our eyes locked in a heated exchange of shock and desire.

There was no mistaking the look of desire in his eyes, and I’m sure it matched the one in my own. I wanted him with jaw-clenching intensity and the part of me that was all woman unfurled after being packed away for so long. I might as well have been back on that fire escape, because this felt just as dangerous. More dangerous.

Behind me, the gathered paparazzi began to call out above the murmuring of the crowd.

“Give him a real kiss, Kit!”

“Is that how you thank a hero?”¬

“Kiss him!”

At the sound of their voices, I glanced over my shoulder. Everyone was smiling encouragingly; the press wanted the photo, the other firefighters were cheering on their boy.

I looked back at Max for his opinion.

A smirk pulled at the edge of his lips. “I did save your life.”

I narrowed my eyes, not really mad at the suggestion. “That’s not fair.”

He shrugged his shoulders the slightest bit and grinned. “Chicken?”

Oh. Hell. No.

Determined and rising to the bait, I lifted my face, slowly closing the distance between our mouths. This would be quick, fun and flirty, and over before it began.

I had no fucking clue what I was talking about.

The first press of our mouths was like being hooked up to a live wire. We both broke contact in surprise but quickly began again, the lure of such intense pleasure already addictive.

I was the one who took it deeper, running my tongue along his, dipping inside to taste him. I couldn’t help myself; it was like putting my favorite dessert in front of me and saying that I could only have a sample. Good luck trying to stop me.

Max groaned and grabbed my hips, his fingers lightly digging into my flesh—tugging me closer and turning the kiss hotter, wetter. His mouth slanted over mine and his tongue stroked past my lips, taking what he wanted and what I freely gave. My knees went weak, and I clutched the fabric of his uniform, holding him close as the kiss went on and on.

The sound of whooping and clapping startled me and snapped me back to reality. This wasn’t good.

I distanced myself from Max, only far enough away to end the kiss but not far enough to lose the physical contact of his hands on me. I was breathing hard, my breasts swollen under the tight dress, my lips tender and tingly. Max was panting, his face hard and eyes hot.

Painfully aware of our audience and my management and label resident glaring at me from the other end of the room, I tried to pull back further but Max shook his head, holding me in his grip.

“We shouldn’t have done that,” I said.

“Maybe not, but I want to do it again,” he answered, his smile intimate and naughty enough to make me shiver. “And I want to do more.”

I sucked in a breath. I had thought the fire was dangerous, but I was wrong. Max was the thing I needed to worry about.

“You’re no angel,” I whispered.

“I’m glad you finally figured it out.”

Book #2 of the Briarcrest Academy Series

by Ilsa Madden-Mills

I got out of the shower and dressed hurriedly, anxious to get back to Cuba.

The door opened, and like he did it every single day, he stepped inside the steamy bathroom.

Think I need a shower, too,” he said, his fingers easing off his football practice shirt.

What? Now?

Trying to play it cool and failing miserably, I moved my eyes off his naked chest and checked out his track pants and the obvious bulge he sported.

Oh. Did his lower body match the rest of him? Was it all sinewy muscle and big?

Just, yeah. That thought got stuck in my head and went round and round.

You staying?” he asked, a grin working his face. Pleased at my open admiration, probably.

No,” I said, but made no move to go. ‘Cause I had no shame when it came to catching a glimpse of his muscular body.

Good,” he said, his smile broadening.

He pivoted to turn on the shower, and my eyes betrayed me again, admiring the muscles in his back, checking out how they twitched and rippled when he moved. Football and rowing had been good to him. My fingers itched to know how they’d feel underneath my hands. Which was stupid because we had nothing in common. Not a rich Highland Park boy and a poor girl from Ratcliffe.

And most importantly, he was a player, not to be trusted.

He hooked his thumbs into his pants, paused a moment—maybe waiting to see if I’d run from the room?—but when I didn’t budge, he slid them and his underwear off. My mouth opened. Cuba Hudson, the most popular guy at Briarcrest was standing right in front of me, naked and beautiful. And like the cocky bastard he was, he posed for me, his big-ass biceps and chiseled abs making me vibrate all over. Need for him slammed into me.

Did I say he was hot?

Well, I was wrong.

He was off-the-charts, no-holds-barred, freaking going make-me-lose-my-mind-right-there delicious. The ultimate man-candy, the kind I knew to stay away from, yet here I was, ogling him.

Still leaving?” he asked huskily.

Any minute,” I said in a weak voice, backing up to the wall and propping myself up. “Just chillin’. Shower wore me out. I might need to hold this wall up for a sec.”

I want you to stay,” he said, eyes at half-mast, glowing with heat.

Why?” I said, aching to touch him. But that was crazy. I was a virgin, and I didn’t know jack about touching a guy’s you-know-what.

Look at me, Dovey.”

I tore my eyes from his manhood, blushing.

His eyes burned. “There’s a sense of urgency in my head. Like our time is limited.”

I nodded. Yeah, same here.

And, I’ll be honest, I don’t want to rush you, but I’m dying to sink into you. I want to set you on fire with need for me.” He ghosted his hands over the steel rod between his legs. Once, twice, and—holy shizzle, he didn’t stop.

My chest rose faster and faster, and I tried to chill-out, but I couldn’t.

He lowered his voice. “Kiss me again, Dovey.”

Oh. “That’s a terrible idea, Cuba. Cause you’re naked, and I’m turned on because you’re naked. And you’re touching yourself. And you’re naked.” I sucked in a sharp breath. “Not a good combo. Odds are we’ll end up in that shower together or back in your bed doing the double-backed monster.”

Then join me in the shower. I’ll be good. For you.” He arched his back, his hands still doing that back and forth that was driving me insane.

Liar, liar, pants on fire, I thought. No way he would he be good.

Because he was the Heartbreaker of Briarcrest Academy.

And one wicked boy.

EXCERPT:

“You sure you’re not sneaking off to Los Angeles to get me a ring?”

He laughed once more. She’d been trying to get it out of him since the night he told her he’d wanted to take her to Vegas for the weekend. Even with her business meeting, she was hunting for clues of a proposal. Only his brother knew he planned to ask her to marry him this weekend. “I’m not going to Los Angeles to get a ring, but even if I were I would never tell you,” he said.

“You do realize that gives absolutely nothing away?”

He nodded, tapping her forehead lightly, then running his finger down to her nose. “I know,” he said, then nibbled on the end of her nose.

“Well, enough about rings. What’s in that box there you’re hiding by your leg?”

“You saw it?”

“My gift-spotting skills know no bounds.”

He handed her the turquoise-wrapped box with a white bow on it. She eyed the bow. “In case you want to tie me up on the plane, looks like we already have something to use.”

His dick twitched against the denim of his jeans. She was always on the same wavelength as he was. “I may need to tie up your hands as a reminder to bring your poker face to the meeting today.”

She gave him a sharp-eyed stare. “Do not ever doubt my poker face. It is masterful,” she said, as she tugged one end of the ribbon, letting the white satiny bow fall across the shiny wrapping paper. Ripping off the paper, she popped open the top of the box, and there it was. That glow in her eyes. The absolute joy in receiving gifts. She was a delight to give presents to because she never faked her appreciation. Reaching inside the box, she wrapped her fingers around the necklace then gently lifted the long strand of pearls. “Oh my God, they’re stunning. They’re so fucking gorgeous.”

She draped the pearls over her hand, the long strands like waterfalls of smooth, rounded beads. She gazed at them like they were precious, a fitting response, since they were. “They’re real,” she said, with wonder in her voice as she looked up at him.

He nodded. “I would never give you something fake.”

“I’ve never had pearls before. I’ve never thought of myself as a pearl person.”

“Then let me show you how I want you to wear them, so you can see how absolutely fucking sexy a pearl person can be,” he said, standing up and making his way to his suitcase. He opened one of the zipper compartments where he’d tucked a dress for her, and brought it over. “Another gift. Put this on.”

“Now?”

He nodded. “Yes. Model it for me.”

“As you wish,” she said, standing up and glancing once at the cockpit. “What about the pilot?”

“I told him we’d be making full use of the plane and he said he’d have his eyes on the sky the whole time.”

“Then keep your eyes on me,” she said, looping the strand around her neck, then stripping off her skirt, letting it pool at her feet, her gaze locked on him the whole time. He watched her, growing harder with each layer she removed—now her shirt, then her lacy bra. He reclined the spacious leather seat, taking in the show, savoring every second of her undressing.

4 star read

Michel’s Review

This is the first book I have read by author Lynne Jaymes. I was pleasantly surprised. One True Thing has a very fresh plot and outtake on a very real social problem. Sadly this very real problem will go on through the end of time in some way or another.

This is going to be a hard review to write without giving away spoilers.

Tyler Branch has always dreamed of being a professional baseball player. He has diligently worked hard for his accomplishments on and off the field. He is recruited by Garvin State University to play for their baseball team. It is the opportunity he has been hoping for. He will get more recognition and exposure to scouts for the major leagues. Garvin State is in the heart of Texas in a very small town. The people there are stuck in their ways, clinging to the past, and very judgmental. Being from a San Francisco, a very progressive city, it is hard for Ty to grasp their views on life. He doesn’t want to rock the boat in any way that will ruin his chance at the Major Leagues. He vows to focus on school and baseball for the next two years. He will keep his views to himself, stay out of relationships, and keep his secrets buried deep. After all he needs to keep his eye on the ball. What he didn’t count on was Jenna Taylor, the beautiful dancer, who lives a few doors down from him. He didn’t count on an attraction and chemistry that would change the way he looked at life and love.

Jenna Taylor has always wanted to dance. She chose Garvin State over New York because of their outstanding dance department. She is from a very small town in Texas, where everyone knows your business as well as their own. She loves her roots as much as she loves the city. She wants to focus on her dreams without the hassles of being in a relationship that will go nowhere after college. She has been burned before and has no desire to put herself in that position again. That is until she meets Ty Branch.

Jenna and Ty’s attraction builds into a beautiful relationship. There is only one problem with the relationship, Ty’s secrets. As the two become more deeply involved his secrets become lies, the lies get out of hand. When a surprise visit blows the secret out of the water, not only will it ruin Ty’s relationship with Jenna, it may also ruin his chance at the Major Leagues.

Their story may shock some readers. Their story is very real and heartbreaking. It was very enlightening about how the world can be in some places. It is a story that was well written and had the reader sympathizing with Jenna and Ty’s plight.

I think Lynne Jaymes did a wonderful job with One True Thing. The only thing that would of made this story better is if the reader could of experienced more of the characters individual personalities to go along with the focus on their dilemma.

I would highly recommend this book.
