Tracey’s Review
“What’s so special about me?”
He stared at me for a moment. “You’re different.”
Not beautiful or special of celestial. Different.
“Thanks. I think.”
Selah Elmore has a life that she loves. Confident and successful, she knows what works for her, and is happy living the way that she does. When an international trip lands her in the passing company of a a man that she just can’t forget, Selah chalks it up to another missed connection. But fate, kismet, the relationship goddess, call her what you will, that sneaky lady, has other plans, and things are about to get very interesting.
Always playful, passionate, and filled with characters that I adore, author Daisy Prescott’s books are some of my favorites. WANDERLUST, the third book in Daisy’s Modern Love Story series has all of these things in spades, and I just absolutely loved the heck out of it. Living up to its name, WANDERLUST takes Selah from her home in Portland, OR, to Amsterdam to Ghana, and there is a world of adventure on each stop.
One of my favorite parts of reading Daisy’s books is the snappy back-and-forth between characters. All of them are smart, snarky, and lovable, and keep me endlessly entertained with their conversations, both internal and between each other. Selah, a woman of a certain age, is in charge of her life, and she likes it that way. But Kai is, I think, just what she needs to round things out. He is handsome, smart, and a world traveler, and he may be a few years young, but that’s not a problem at all, because he can keep up with her in every way.
Like in all of Daisy’s books, characters from earlier reads make appearances, and that’s something that I really enjoy, because it makes the experience more like a real group of friends that I can spend time with. And, like with all of Daisy’s books, I found myself reminiscing about the other people, and their stories, and it felt a little bit like coming home.
WANDERLUST is a romantic, sexy, smart, epic-feeling read, and I really enjoyed it very much. It’s an easy 4.5 stars for me, and one that I can see going back to more than once, because it’s a total feel-good experience. This, and all of Daisy’s other books (yep, you read that right, ALL of Daisy’s other books)? Get them, grab your favorite beverage and maybe a pain au chocolat, and enjoy. They are a pleasure.

AUTHOR NOTE
Hi lovely readers,
The first thing you’re probably asking is if this is a new book. It’s not. It’s the same book but with a new title and cover as Missionary Position.
Why the change?
While the Missionary Position title works for Selah’s love story (and makes us both giggle), it might give readers the wrong idea. Wanderlust is one of my favorite words and better captures the romance between Kai and Selah set on three continents. Because of the sexual implications of the title, MP keeps being put in the erotica dungeon despite being more of a rom com (again, giggles about this from both Selah and me).
Plus, Missionary Position is also the title of a Mother Teresa biography, and well, that’s kind of awkward.
After stewing about this for a few years, I decided to rebrand the book with a new look and title in hopes more people will discover this wonderful book. It’s still one of my favorites. Wanderlust is a love story between an older woman and a younger man set on the West African coast, full of humor and unexpected adventures.
Thanks for reading!
