WARNING, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK FROM MATT CONNOVER, LITIGATION GOD:

Please do not attempt to read my story in public, as my sexual proclivities have been known to cause squirming in your seat, squeezing of your legs together and unintentional moaning, sometimes with spontaneous bursts of laughter at random moments. If you are offended by the fact that my oral skills are just as accomplished in the bedroom as they are the courtroom, then this book is not for you. There may be moments while reading my story that you get so turned on… so hot and bothered… that your squirming and moaning could turn maniacal in nature and neither I, nor the author, are responsible for the weird looks you may get. Notwithstanding the aforementioned warnings, if you assume the risk and read my tale in public, then I recommend you carry a spare set of panties with you. You will need them and you have been warned.

SYNOPSIS

My name is Matt Connover. I am a Litigation God. Other lawyers quake before me. Women crawl on their knees just to spend the night in my bed and when I’m finished with them, I walk away without a backward glance. I am well satisfied with my life and there isn’t a damn thing I’d change about it.That is, until McKayla Dawson came along.
She was meant to be for one night only. But she got under my skin, and now I want her back underneath my body. It’s torture working with her in my law firm… day in and day out. But I have to think maybe the Fates have intervened to throw us together because she is unlike anyone I’ve ever known, and thus I need to pay careful attention to these Legal Affairs.

Confessions of a Litigation God is a stand alone, full length erotic novel. It follows the affair of Matt Connover and McKayla Dawson as told in the Legal Affairs Serial Romance, Volumes 1-6. This book is told strictly from Matt’s point of view and has many additional scenes not included in the serial volumes. You do not need to have read the Legal Affairs Serial to understand this novel.

Kelley’s Review
Warning This Review Contains Obscenities
Matt will tends to bring those out
If you do not say “What an asshole at least once I would be really surprised.”

bigstock_Five_stars_Mesh_13933472
Matt “Fucking” Connover what more can I say. The man is a sex god and the top litigator in the country. As you would totally expect he is an egotistical asshole. He knows he is good at what he does and he is very good in the sack and planned to spend the rest of his life an eligible bachelor while he fucked is way through Manhattan using the dating service One Night Only.

Well McKenna Dawson shot all of those plans to shit and now he actually has to grow some balls and stop acting like a man child and grow the hell up. What is a an emotionally immature man going to do with feelings he has never let himself feel?

We have seen these types of stories written before. Jamie McGuire wrote Beautiful Disaster which I loved and then she wrote Walking Disaster which was from Travis’s point of view. It is hard to write the same story from a different point of view and it not be redundant. Sawyer masterfully wrote this book. It was not her intention to even ever write this story but a few of her Babes and closest friends encouraged her to do so and I am extremely glad she did and other authors who are thinking of attempting to do this need to take out a note pad and take notes while reading both Legal Affairs and Confessions. Sawyer kept Matt really elusive in Legal Affairs. We know he is an asshat but we really are clueless as to what extent he is.

When I started reading Confessions I was like damn. The potential for McKenna to get screwed was huge. Reading how Matt does not want to acknowledge his feelings for her and has not intention to even tot he point where in Legal Affairs we thought he was falling in love at that point in Confessions he was looking to leave her. I was shocked. There is so much to Matt that we did not learn in Legal Affairs that Confessions is a whole new story. It is not like rereading Legal Affairs it is like holy crap I can’t believe that is what he was really thinking when McKenna asked him if he was developing feelings for her.

Now its time for my confession. I am not done with this book yet. I am about halfway through. I am giving it five stars because Sawyer did something that I have not seen any other author successfully do at this point in my blogging career and that is write the same story in such a different way that is has totally sucked me in. I will write my complete review later this week and post it here. I am really looking forward to getting to the part where Matt begins to grow up and have to deal with this yucky thing called feelings.

Announcement

Matt Connover will be taking over the Smut Book Junkies facebook page on Thursday from 12-2 pm EST.  Please stop by and meet Matt and find out why McKenna was so different from the others and enter to win some fun prizes.

About This Book

Fall to You is the second book in the Here and Now series. It is not a stand-alone and is intended to be read following Lost in Me. Hanna’s story concludes in book three, All for This.

Torn between two men…

When I woke up after the accident, I couldn’t remember anything from the last year—including my relationship with Max Hallowell or anything about Nate Crane. Now my memories are returning, but instead of answering my questions, they’re leaving me with more.

The man who broke my heart and wants to be my future…

Max is all I ever wanted, and now he wants to marry me. He’ll do everything he can to fill my life with love, family, and security. I need those things now more than ever. But can I trust him?

The man who stole my heart and wants to let me go…

Nate never made me promises, and I never asked him to. I’d been on the rebound, looking for a distraction, and he made me feel beautiful and wanted when I needed to feel those things most. He says he has to let me go, but what if I can’t let go of him?

With every revelation and every passing day, I feel more like Alice down the rabbit hole. I’m falling. Who will catch me?

Three Months Before Hanna’s Accident

Nate

I haven’t slept all night with a woman next to me since before my son was born, yet here I am, holding her like I’m some closet romantic who doesn’t plan to send her on her way in a couple of hours. I loved every fucking minute of sleeping with her in my arms. I love how she reached for me in her sleep, how she rubbed her ass against my cock as if trying to wiggle a puzzle piece into place. And maybe a puzzle is the right analogy, because her body fits so damn perfectly against mine that I feel like something’s missing when she rolls away.

She’s on her back now, a hand reaching out, fingers resting on my bicep as if she’s afraid I might escape. The women I take to my bed tend to react that way, but I know it has little to do with my mad bedroom skills. For them, it’s about status, a notch in their bedpost of celebrities. What’s it about for Hanna?

The air conditioner cycles on, parting the curtains and bathing her in morning light that reminds me I should be urging her out of my bed. Only I don’t want her to go anywhere. I’m too enthralled by the dark smudge of her lashes against her cheeks and the soft parting of her full lips. She has these faint freckles across the bridge of her nose, another detail in this study in contrasts—the sweet, insecure virgin who doesn’t understand her own appeal and the wanton goddess who sucked me so hard and pulled my dick so deep she’s no doubt ruined me for all other blowjobs. And the way she responds when I touch her…

Hanna’s a virgin, but she was made for sex. Damn, how I envy the man who will get to introduce her to that pleasure. Will it be the ex? Max?

Something flames in my gut at the thought, but I ignore the flare of jealousy. She still loves him. I’m nothing more than the rebound guy, and I should be glad for that because I can’t offer her more than this.

“Mmm,” she moans, her eyes fluttering open and closed again as if she can’t quite convince them to greet the day. “What are you looking at?”

“You.”

She pats her hair before tugging the sheet up to cover her bare breasts. “Not much to look at before coffee. I’m probably a mess.”

“A beautiful mess,” I growl, tugging the sheet back down. “Don’t interrupt me. I was trying to play connect-the-dots with your freckles.”

She raises a brow but doesn’t try to re-cover herself. “How’s that work?”

“Well, they obviously start here,” I murmur, touching the bridge of her nose. “Then they pick up again here…” I drag my finger down her nose, over her soft lips, and to her collarbone, where a few more freckles are sprinkled.

“Not much of a treasure hunt.”

“Oh, you see, the amateur might think that’s the end of the trail, but I am an expert at connect-the-dots, and I don’t give up so easily.”

“Oh. Good. I was worried.”

I shake my head and press a quick kiss to her lips. “I won’t let you down. But are you ready for the next part?”

“I don’t know? Is it hangman? I’m not sure I want you playing hangman with my freckles.” Her smile damn near bowls me over.

“Still connecting the dots, but you see, it’s about intuition when the going gets tough like this, and for my intuition to work at its best, I need to stop searching with my fingers and take over with my tongue.”

She giggles. “Oh really?”

I climb on top of her, resting on my elbows, and she instinctively draws up her knees so my torso rests between her thighs. My cock aches, demanding that I slide up her body and get closer. Fuck. It wants more than to be close. It wants inside her. Tight and hot and deep. But I ignore it and lower my mouth to the freckles on her collarbone.

The taste of her skin on my tongue makes me hungry for more. I want to lick her clit again, to slide my tongue inside her until she loses control and rocks her hips in that sweet rhythm of fucking.

Instead, I trail my tongue down between her breasts and to the lone freckle beneath her sternum. “Found it,” I murmur before gently nipping her skin.

She arches toward my mouth. “Your tongue has a rather impressive intuition.”

“Oh, and it’s not even done yet.”

lexi ryan

Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids–a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.

Random Acts of Fantasy by Julia Kent Review + *Giveaway*

invitation to eden

Synopsis

You ever really think that you’ll win the lottery? Meet Mr. Right? How about two Mr. Rights?

Somehow the universe is handing me everything I want (except for that lottery part…), and I don’t like it. Not one little bit. Because just when you get all your dreams handed to you on a silver platter, that’s when an airplane dumps its sewage on your house. Or your mama’s diabetes takes a bad turn. Or your mobile phone gets stuck in your hoohaw.

(What? It happens…)

Boring old average me got everything I wanted already, moving from small-town Ohio to big-city Boston to follow my heart. So when the fancy invitation offering me a pile of money to come with the band, Random Acts of Crazy, to perform on an island resort and be their manager arrived, I thought it was a cosmic joke. Enough money to help my mama get what she needed, five days in sunny paradise, and a shot at greatness for the band? Unreal. One big shoe was waiting to drop. On my head.

Just like no one really ever finds a naked man wearing only a guitar standing by the side of the road hitchhiking and ends up falling in love with him and his friend and moving halfway across the country for true love, no one gets an invitation to come to what turns out to be a resort where people make what me and Joe and Trevor do together look like a chaste peck on the cheek. But…

Well.

I guess these things do happen.

To me.

Tracey’s Review

4 Stars

If something seems too good to be true, what do you do? If all of your dreams seem to be coming true, do you trust that Fate is smiling on you?

Darla’s life has changed in a big way in the last seven months. From small-town Ohio to Boston, she’s living her dream, several times over, because she has not only one hot boyfriend, but two. She is in a relationship with both Trevor and Joe, lawyers-to-be, and members of the band Random Acts of Crazy. As if this isn’t enough excitement for one girl, she and the band receive invitations to Eden, yes, Eden. All they have to do is come spend time and perform on a mysterious and exotic island, and they will all be rolling in the dough. Not too shabby. Once in Eden, Darla and the guys are in for one heck of an exciting time.

I had NO idea what to expect when I sat down with ‘Random Acts of Fantasy.’ This book takes ‘love triangle’ to a whole new level, and then some. Julia Kent has written funny and personable characters throughout, even down to the crazy ex, who makes the island vacation even more of a memorable experience. I found myself laughing from the first page, and, although this is more of an unconventional love story, it was one that I couldn’t put down. Four enjoyable stars, and a thumbs-up for this book.

Leather Lace and Rock n Roll is FREE by Mia Diamond Review + Seal Series Spotlight

leather lace and rock n roll

 Synopsis

Brains before Beauty, that’s Rachel Newberry’s motto, especially when her quiet, orderly life is interrupted by international rock star, Jaydon Hawke. And true to her word, brains take center stage when she discovers Hawke has a lot more on his mind than beautiful music. Targeted by a madman, Rachel puts her trust in Hawke, a move that may cost both their lives.

Tracey’s Review

4 Stars

Imagine a story with rock stars, Navy SEALS, and covert operations, all wrapped up in a love story. ‘Leather, Lace, and Rock-n-Roll’ has all of this and more.

Rachel Newberry is a brainy beautiful architect. She’s been burned before, and is definitely not looking for a relationship. Jaydon Hawke is the frontman for a rock band. Sexy, hot, smart, completely swoonworthy, he is the total package. But wait, there’s more: he’s also one of a group of Navy SEALS on a covert mission to uncover a plot involving illegal weapons, and he believes that Rachel is involved.

I had no idea what to expect when I started this book. Let me tell you, I was hooked from the very beginning. I mean, a super-hot guy that is a rock star AND a Navy SEAL? Come on, what’s not to love?! The chemistry between Rachel and Jaydon is sizzling, just off-the-charts hot. I could not wait for them to get over everything standing in their way and just get together already.

The secondary characters, like Cameron and Max, really helped make this book even more of a great read, and as a matter of fact, Cameron has her own story in ‘Outspoken Angel,’ which I cannot wait to read. All in all, I give this a hot 4 stars. Read this book!

Picture Perfect by Elisabeth Grace Review

picture perfect

Synopsis

Being the daughter of a big-city mayor, twenty-one year old Skye Summers has giant shoes to fill in her first real job out of college. With the public spotlight on her family, and her dad’s expectations running high, she jumps at the chance to work side-by-side on an important project with her sexy new boss.

Playboy entrepreneur Landon Steele has built a successful entertainment PR firm and broken more than a few hearts along the way. He’s counting on his enthusiastic new assistant to help him expand his business into LA… until he discovers she’s a pampered rich girl who’s in the public spotlight as much as his famous clients. Still, he agrees to give her a chance, and soon the two are heating up the bedroom as well as the boardroom.

But when Skye’s ex-boyfriend threatens to reveal a dangerous secret from her past, her job, relationship with Landon, and her father’s career are suddenly all on the line. Will she be forced to leave Landon? Or will she pursue her heart, regardless of the cost?

***Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.***

Tracey’s Review

4 Stars

Girl meets boy, boy and girl have combustible chemistry, boy and girl are in for a surprise…

When Skye Summers and Landon Steele meet, it’s lust at first sight. The two meet for the first time during a night out, following Skye’s recent nasty break-up from a violent boyfriend. They are immediately drawn to each other, but things don’t quite work out as planned. The next time they meet, it’s to realize that Skye’s new boss is none other than the hot guy at the club that’s seen more of her than she’d like. Maintaining a professional relationship proves to be impossible, and the two quickly become involved. The road to true love is, as always, though, far from smooth, and there are plenty of issues that Skye and Landon have to contend with.

‘Picture Perfect’ is a sweet and sexy story that had me hooked from the very first scenes. Elisabeth Grace has written characters that are fresh and real, people that readers can identify with. The dialogue is snappy, and written with a sense of humor throughout, making this an extremely enjoyable read. The book also has great secondary characters, which I always enjoy, because it makes the story that much more real. I found myself truly invested in Skye’s and Landon’s story, and look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I’d been an avid reader my entire life, but when I discovered romance novels during my first pregnancy I was hooked! Not sure if it was the hormones or the lack of a life that was headed my way once my daughter was born, but since then I’ve been devouring several romance books a week. I love nothing more than reading about some serious alpha males and a happily ever after.

Things you should know about me…

I live outside Toronto, Canada…eh. (Yes, it’s true. We Canadians say ‘eh’ A LOT.)

I’m a wife and mommy to two small children which I refer to as Little Miss and Mr. Magoo.

I own one cat spawned by the devil. Seriously. He’s as cute as they come but you’ve never met a meaner feline. In retrospect we should have named him, Lucifer. I have the scars to prove it.

I believe there’s no such thing as too much chocolate. Or popcorn. Or bread. Or potatoes. Yes, you guessed it…I’m a sugar and carb addict.

I hate running. Always have, always will. Unless David Gandy’s in the vicinity you won’t find me doing it. Ever. Not sure who David Gandy is and think you might want to become a Gandy Girl like me? Google him. You can thank me later.

I’m a LOVER of all music. The 1200+ songs on my IPod can attest to the variety of my musical tastes. Hubby and I try to travel to a different music festival every year and are regular concert goers.

My name is Elisabeth and I like reality TV. There I admitted it and that’s the first step, right? Yes, I’m a writer and I see the need for scripted shows, but sometimes there’s just something so entertaining about watching one Real Housewife lose it on another one. I could listen to Cochran’s diatribe on his fellow castaways for hours.

Of the four of us that make up my family, three of us are Leo’s. Let’s say it together…DRAMA!

I may be the world’s worst cook. My poor children. Unless Daddy’s cooking they know not to expect much.

I write every night after my kids are in bed until the wee hours of the morning. This wouldn’t be a problem except for the fact that I have always been an early-bird-catches-the-worm kind-of girl, so 5:00am comes early. Sleep is over-rated, I say.

If you are a lover of romance novels, steamy bedroom scenes and alpha males than you may enjoy my stories! 🙂

I LOVE talking with fellow readers about books! There’s nothing better than discovering your next favorite read because someone recommended it to you! If you’re the same I’d encourage you to reach out to me via one of my social media links so we can chat!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000026_00025]

Northern was supposed to be a fresh start—a place where people didn’t know who I was or how I had spent years in and out of mental institutes. People didn’t know about my parents death or the island no one heard of. But when Peter sits next to me in lit class, I can’t stop the memories, and I don’t want to. He looks too much like the boy from the island, and despite my best intentions, coaxes my secrets from me.
He’s gorgeous, irresistible, a little mad, and completely lost—we are a pair of broken cogs in a world neither of us truly fits into. He is somehow gentle and fierce, heartbreaking in his devotion and savage in his defense.
When Belle, his best friend, shows up, pale and lovely and sick, Peter pulls away from me, a startling withdrawal. It’s a relationship that scares and confuses me. She is at times warm and friendly, and other times is violent and unpredictable.
Peter says that he wants me, but refuses to let himself get close. And there are secrets, surrounding both of us, that border on nightmares. As the memories close in, as Belle gets sicker and more violent, I’m torn between what is true and what I believe, and what this magical boy knows about my mysterious past.

Tracey’s Review

4 Stars

‘It was never real. The island doesn’t exist. I’ve repeated those words for two years.’ Gwendolyn Barrie has spent the last several years trying to convince herself that she never spent time on a faraway island with the Boy. That the happiest time in her life never happened. That everyone else is right, and that the death of her parents sent her spiraling into a world that she only imagined. But then Gwen meets Peter, and she isn’t so sure anymore what’s real and what isn’t.

I really enjoyed this new take on the story of ‘Peter Pan.’ Imagine Peter and Wendy, grown up and out in the ‘real world’ of college, drawn to each other by some inexplicable tie. Everyone in Gwen’s life warns her away from Peter, afraid that spending time with him will cause her to lose touch with reality again. But Gwen feels safe and whole with Peter, even if he does stir up memories of a time and place that she has been told just can’t possibly have existed. She is unable to stay away from him, even when things begin to unravel.

Although I was initially surprised by the way that Nazarea Andrews ended ‘Girl Lost,’in retrospect I think that she tied things up absolutely perfectly. After the initial ‘What?! What the heck?!’ I don’t think she could have done it any differently and been as effective. This is a 4-plus read for me, as it is a thoroughly engaging and fast-paced read with characters that are at the same time recognizable as those from one of my favorite childhood books, but with an edgier, darker, and more grown-up and angsty feel. Take the time to check this one out; you won’t be disappointed.

“I tilted my face under the warm spray and leaned back as he wrapped his arms around me. He gently kissed between my shoulder blades and ran his nose upwards to the base of my skull.

“I missed you,” he murmured into my skin.

Just when I was okay with resigning myself to what we were, to being just fine with the lack of real emotional connection, Cole had to go and do things like that.

He peppered me with soft kisses, hugging me tightly.

“I really love you being here when I wake up. I wish you could be here every morning.” I could feel him smiling against my back and I wanted to bash his head in.

He really needed to shut the hell up.

Emo mushy crap was taking things too far. I didn’t need to engage my heart in this already sticky situation.

But this was Cole. He could be this amazing, beautiful person when he wanted to be. In the aftermath of sex he said things that sent me reeling. And I couldn’t help but allow my mind to wander to possibilities.

I hated him for it.

“You smell and taste unbelievable. There needs to be an AA program for this. Vivian Anonymous. Sign me up because I can’t get enough of touching you.” Cole ran his tongue along my wet skin and I couldn’t help but moan.

“Stay with me another night. Please,” he begged.

I wanted to give in. God, did I want to. When he was like this it was hard to deny him anything. But I couldn’t pretend that what we had was something else. That the two of us were ever destined for more than a temporary physical relationship.

If I started thinking like that, I was setting myself up for a hell of a fall. And I wasn’t sure I’d survive the impact.

Cole was an egotistical manwhore. That was what I needed to remember right now. If I didn’t stay, he’d have someone else ready and willing to take my place.

He may ask me to stay but he’d be just fine if I didn’t. Our hearts were not involved here.

I snorted inelegantly. “What would all the groupies say if I was here again tonight? I don’t want to cramp your style,” I scoffed, leaning my head back on his shoulder.

Cole’s hands came up to cup my breasts, kneading and rubbing in a way that made me weak in the knees. He played my body against me each and every time.

“Why do you have to say stuff like that, Viv? You know when you’re around, there’s no one else. I don’t want anyone but you,” he admonished, his teeth scraping along the side of my neck, making me shiver, despite the warmth of the shower.”

Tracey’s Review

4 Stars

Cole Brandt is the hot sexy lead singer of Generation Rejects. Vivian Baily is a fan, and then some. Separately, they’re the center of attention. Together, they are chaos.

Cole and Vivian have a history; to say that it is complicated is an understatement. Cole is the front man for up and coming band Generation Rejects. He is the epitome of the bad boy rocker, singing hard and partying harder, with women lining up to be with him. Vivian Baily has been there with Cole since the beginning, and is more than a little tired of competing with all of his ‘conquests.’ She and Cole are combustible, both in bed and out. But the drama is getting old, and she’s finally over Cole and their crazy relationship. Cole finds himself missing Viv, and in more than a physical sense. Life on the road is getting crazy, and relationships are tested, with the future of all that he’s worked for hanging in the balance.

‘Seductive Chaos’ is a light and entertaining read. The characters are a little young for me, but it was still easy to relate to the issues that they were dealing with. In typical NA fashion, they were so busy denying what they felt that they kept getting in their own ways, and there were times that I just wanted to grab both Viv and Cole and shake some sense into them. At the same time, I found myself laughing out loud at their antics, and I mean literally laughing out loud (earning head shakes from the husband). Any book that causes this reaction is a good solid read for me, and one that I have no trouble recommending. And because I enjoyed ‘Seductive Chaos,’ I’m looking forward to checking out ‘Bad Rep’ and ‘Perfect Regret,’ the other two books in the ‘Bad Rep’ series.

When Stella Jo Chandler gets an offer to work at the Second Chance Ranch celebrity rehab facility right after graduating from Texas A&M, she’s tempted to turn it down. She wants to help real people with real problems, not spoiled celebrities going on vacation for publicity. But growing up on her family’s ranch left her with a love of horses that draws her to the opportunity. How bad can babysitting a bunch of strung out celebrities be?

What she didn’t count on was being roped into a tangled mess with infamous rocker and three-time rehab drop out Van Ransom on her first day. And she sure didn’t expect to feel the overwhelming attraction that pulls her to the man who has more issues than she can count on both hands. Like the hotel rooms and tour buses he’s famous for trashing, the havoc he could wreak on Stella’s heart would be irreparable.

Van isn’t at Second Chance for publicity or because he’s suffering from “exhaustion”. He’s on the brink of destruction, and he needs the kind of help Stella isn’t sure she can give. But without her, he’ll lose everything. Because he’s on his last second chance.

Van stood at the edge of her bed and stared down at her. He had to clench his hands at his side to keep himself steady.

Fuck, she was beautiful. She was more than beautiful. She was a goddess. She was something no one had created a word for yet. Because no other such creature had existed.

“Lose the blanket, Stella Jo.” His gravelly voice filled the small room.

She nodded, licked her lips, and slid the white comforter down. His eyes narrowed when he saw that she’d left her bra and underwear on.

“I said naked, cowgirl. But you know that, don’t you?”

“I was…” She paused to take a deep breath. “I thought I had more time.”

Setting the rope and riding crop on the bedside table, Van crossed his arms. “You have all the time in the world. Go ahead. I’ll wait.”

Her emerald eyes widened, meeting his with an ‘are you serious’ stare. He nodded once at her unspoken question.

She stood on shaking legs, and he resisted the urge to let her off the hook. She was nervous. She should be. He was going to do things to her that would wreck her—things she wouldn’t be able to forget for as long as she lived.

He planned to make damn sure of it.
