As if she felt my gaze on her, she swung toward me, her eyes blazing.
“No rubes back here!” she yelled. “Get the fuck out!”
I was shocked that a complete stranger would speak to me like that. I froze, my eyes darting to Kes. He turned to look at me, his frown of annoyance changing to a warm smile.
“Chill, Sorcha,” he muttered. “The shrimp’s a friend.”
I wanted to laugh. I wanted to cry. He was pleased to see me, but so dismissive. I stood there with my mouth hanging open. And then I was in Kes’s arms, breathing in the scent of sweat and soap and something like fresh hay that was so familiar.
“Hey, kid! How you doing?” he said, as he led me away.
His voice had deepened. No longer childlike, it was a light, pleasant tenor.
“Don’t call me kid!” I snapped, punching his shoulder.
He laughed and rubbed the spot where I’d hit him. His dimple popped out and I wished I’d hit him harder—then kissed him better.
“Okay, not a kid,” he smiled, but then I watched his eyes darken as they drifted down my body, pausing at my chest, then doing a slow sweep along my legs and hips. “No, not a kid,” he said again, and this time his voice was gruffer.

This book was brought to my attention while I was signing up for another blog tour. The cover caught my attention. When I read the synopsis for the book I knew I wanted to read this book. When the ARC was delivered to my kindle I had to start the book immediately. From the very first page I was hooked. I could not put the book down. I was mesmerized by the characters and their story. After I finished the book the I could not stop thinking about it. It was such a special, magical kind of story that captured my heart and imagination. Traveling Man was a 6 star book and made the 2015 Favorite List.
Imagine living in rural America, in a very small town where nothing ever happens. A town that is full of simple minded people and ordinary life. A town where excitement is non existent. Then one day a caravan of huge trucks rolls through town stirring up the dust. These trucks are not just passing through, they are stopping at an old abandoned farm. They are bringing a magical world to this small town. The carnival has arrived. Magic is in the air. The excitement level has escalated from zero to ten. For two weeks this sensation is going to breath life into this small world.

Traveling Man was mesmerizing. I love books where the readers get to experience the characters coming of age. Experiencing the characters go from childhood innocence to the angsty teenager and finally the full grown adult is like watching yourself grow through the pages. Being able to experience that first kiss and first love is magical.
Jane Harvey- Berrick captured the world of the carnival. Throughout the book I felt like I was right there with the characters. I could feel the smallness of Aimee’s world. I could feel the electricity in the air. I could smell the hotdogs in the air, I could taste the funnel cakes, and I could feel the excitement like it was electricity in my bones. I became a part of the book. She also brought her characters to life and the reader felt every emotional moment.
I absolutely loved Traveling Man! I cannot wait for the next book.

“I told you I don’t do relationships,” he said and couldn’t believe the words had come out of his mouth.
“You did,” she said simply, and walked past him to look out the window for the car.
He went to stand beside her. “I never lied to you.”
She shrugged and continued to look out the window.
Fight it as he did, he couldn’t deny how much he wanted to turn her around, pull her into his arms, and kiss her until they found a way past this. He didn’t, though. Instead, he muttered, “I have nothing to feel sorry about.”
She turned back toward him, her eyes flashing with temper. “You think I want an apology from you? Please spare me. I’m not angry with you. I’m angry with me. You are the same man I met in this very foyer and told myself to forget about. You’re right. You told me who you were and what you wanted. I am the one who made up an entirely different and completely fictional version of you.” She waved her hands sarcastically in the air. “I absolve you of all wrongdoing. Are you happy now?”
“No,” he growled and grabbed one of her arms. “I’m not happy with any of this.”
She leaned in and growled right back at him, “Good, at least you’re willing to admit that much.”
“I don’t want you here,” he said angrily.
“Then let go of my arm,” Tara snapped back.
“But I don’t want you to leave,” he said just as curtly. He tightened his grip on her arm.
“Then ask me to stay,” she said, her tone still angry.
A horn blared in the driveway announcing the arrival of the car he’d called to take her to the airport. He and Tara stood in a silent standoff, their ragged breathing the only sound in the large foyer. Outside the car blared its horn again.
“Is your name actually Tara?” he asked softly.
“Yes. Almost everything I said to you was true. The only part that was a lie was how I met Maddy and why I was spending so much time with her.”
“Dyson?”
“He’s Brigitte’s . . . whatever. If last night went how Dyson hoped, they’re having breakfast together right now.”
“I won’t make you any promises.”
Tara said, “Do you know what I do for a living? Normally, I mean? I follow unfaithful men around and provide photographic proof of their infidelity to their wives. I probably wouldn’t believe any vows if you made them.”
Max frowned. He didn’t like her answer. He didn’t know what he wanted her to say, but he knew that wasn’t it. He needed to somehow get back in control of the conversation. “We’ll keep things casual.”
For a moment he thought she wasn’t pleased with that idea, but she said, “Casual. Perfect. We both do what we want when we want and don’t worry about what either of us are doing when we’re not together.”
Max liked that comment even less. “You’re not sleeping with anyone else while you’re with me.”
Tara put a hand on one hip and cocked her head to the side. “Casual means you don’t have a say in what I do, or who I do, when I’m not with you.”
Max glared down at Tara.
She glared up at him.
He couldn’t take it anymore; he picked her up and started carrying her back up the stairs to the bedroom.
She wrinkled her nose at him, her eyes warming as the same need that had overtaken him began to spread through her. “The car is going to leave.”
“Good,” he said, breathing in the heavenly scent of her hair and imagining how it would feel on his thigh as those luscious lips of hers closed around his cock.

This book was Nicole Jacquelyn’s best book to date. She gave a honest portrayal of how unscripted life really is. She created characters that were dealt some crappy hands in life. No matter how badly they wanted to cling to their past, their lives moved forward. They became stronger people and led very different lives. No matter how many changes they both experienced in their lives, it was still inevitable that these two were truly meant for one another. Craving Resurrection was a beautiful love story that survived an ugly world.
I cannot rave about this book and Aces series enough. Nicole Jacquelyn has created a world that is unforgettable.

Two teams from the same state but from rival universities competing for the highly coveted prize in a national entrepreneurial competition. One team of men and one team of women. Both teams have valid motives for wanting to win. Will they do anything to get the prize? Will they go against their morals to get ahead? What happens when a huge dose of sexual chemistry and undeniable attraction comes into play?
It is a battle of the sexes. A battle of wit. A battle of the heart. Can one team win the competition without destroying each other?
Pretty Smart Girls was a highly entertaining and witty romance. It stepped outside of the usual New Adult themes and did away with the traditional type of angst portrayed in this genre. All of the players were bitten by cupid. How each couple dealt with their feelings while trying to compete against one another made this book more interesting.
The main couple in this book, Jett and Ryan, kept the readers intrigued. Their verbal foreplay, witty reactions, and intellectual sparring was entertaining.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend this to other readers.

I run to the porch and plug in the lights, then run back into the front yard to see them.
“Oh, they’re so pretty!”
“Thank God they all work,” he says as he tosses the black shoe down to the ground and then moves carefully down to the ladder. “It would be a bitch to have to take them back down.”
“I checked them,” I assure him, and when his foot finally lands safely on the snow and he turns to me, I hit him on the arm. “You shouldn’t have done that! You took ten years off my life!”
I throw my arms around his torso and squeeze him tightly, then back away.
“No, you shouldn’t have been on that ladder. If I catch you on one again, I’ll spank your ass until it glows.”
My jaw drops as I gaze up into his frustrated face. For once in my life, I’m speechless. I scowl as I pull myself together and clench my fists. “You wouldn’t dare . . .”
“Put yourself in danger again and see if I don’t,” he replies calmly and crosses his arms over his chest.
“Did you come here to bully me?”

“No. I came because you won’t answer your fucking phone so I can apologize for the other night.”

Grabbing her roughly by the arm, he hauled her back until she was flush against him, her back to his front.
