Readers can always count on Charlotte Stein delivering a smoldering hot book. Her latest release, Never Sweeter, is not exception. It is red hot! The heat index is not what makes this book stand out, it’s just an added bonus. What makes this book is the story itself. An Enemies to Lovers romance that encompasses an emotional story about bullying.

Tate Sullivan was the worst kind of bully in high school. The bullying was so bad that it almost led to Letty Carmichael’s death. Two years later Letty has to face the monster that shattered her self esteem, self worth, and basic trust in people. The monster is in her college film class. He’s been assigned as her partner in a term project. Not only is she frightened but she is also angry. After an initial confrontation, Tate Sullivan appears to be quite different than he was in high school. She still refuses to trust a single word that he says. She refuses to forgive him for his past actions. Letty is a bigger person than she thought, she’s willing to give the new Tate Sullivan a chance to earn some of her trust.

Tate Sullivan has changed since high school. He has deep regrets for the emotional fear and physical damage he caused Letty. He wants to make amends and become her friend. He doesn’t expect her forgiveness. He only wants a chance to make up for the past and to become her friend.

Both Letty and Tate are on a life changing emotional journey. A new journey that leads to that once in a lifetime kind of love. But first they need to get past the emotional barriers built long ago.

Charlotte Stein did a great job tackling this subject and turning it into a romance. The interactions between Letty and Tate were very realistic and believable. The outcome was heartwarming. I really liked this book and how it was portrayed. I only wish that there was an epilogue to get a glimpse of their happily ever after.

A cold wave of thin liquid coated my inner walls right before gravity took hold of it and brought it back down, straight into my underwear, my now appointed lube net.

“Crap,” I muttered, looking down at the pile of liquid sitting in the crotch of my underwear.

Bottle and balls in my hands, I stared at the mess and tried to decide what to do. The heaviness of the lube weighed down my underwear, so I shimmied them down my legs and toed them to the side to pick up after. Commando was sexy, I told myself.

Still eyeing the balls, I convinced myself I could do this. How hard could it really be? Taking a deep breath, I prayed there was enough lube still coating Virginia and slipped the first ball in. Easily I pushed it up and was pleased with the way it fit. With a little more confidence, I thumbed the second one inside and clenched. A small vibration rang through me . . . a pleasing sensation was I wasn’t expecting.

“Well, isn’t that delightful?” I said to myself.

Standing there, I felt comfortable; I could totally do this. More confident, I deposited my underwear and the empty lube bottle in the sanitary napkins trash can—sorry cleaning service—and wiped my hands with some toilet paper so I didn’t slick down the door handle.

Flushing the toilet, I exited, walking very slowly to the sink. With every step, my confidence wavered. I had to really think about each push forward, clenching as tight as I could, praying I didn’t strain my damn cervix.

Rosie and Henry are back, happily navigating the world of coupledom. Having finally taken care of the little ‘problem’ of her virginity, Rosie is over the moon in love with Henry, and happy to show him all of the time. I mean, she is a woman on a mission to make up for lost time, and Henry is more than happy to help her out. These two are an absolute riot, sweet, funny, and perfect for each other.

Oh, my goodness, this book. I cannot count the number of times that I laughed out loud while reading THE RANDY ROMANCE NOVELIST. Meghan Quinn has delivered a story that is nothing short of awesome, and I could not put it down.

The dialogue here, both internal and between characters, is perfect. Rosie is at her no-holds-barred, no filter at all best here, and Henry loves her enough that she can do no wrong. Throw in one demon cat named Sir-Licks-A-Lot (yep, not kidding), a best friend demanding a very specifically themed bachelorette party, and a vajazzling episode gone so very wrong, and you’ve got a story that I will not forget for a very long time. This book, with it’s inappropriately hilarious humor and absolutely lovable characters, is an easy 4.5-star read for me. I’d love to see more of Henry and Rosie, Delaney, Derc, and the scene-stealing cat, so, Meghan, if you’re reading this, keep it coming. I’m more than ready.

Quinn and Alexi have been on the trails for a few weeks. They have been hiding from the mafia manhunt for Alexis. Their journey has come to an end. Alexis is now in the hands of the very threat she was running from. Her ex fiancé has taken her captive. He has also taken Quinn prisoner with the intent of killing him.

It would appear that Alexis mafia connections are responsible for their captivity. Vince wants to gain control of the mafia and Alexis is the princess. Like any good book, there is much more to the story.

Quinn was hired to bring Alexis home because of a life debt he owed the mafia. His debt being repaid isn’t enough. Some members want his blood for other reasons.

Quinn and Alexis story comes to a climax. Their new found love is almost destroyed until a miracle is given to them.

Do you believe in angels? Do you believe in happily ever afters? Quinn and Alexis deserve theirs.

I was engaged in this story from beginning to end. There were a few hiccups in the story that made me question some of the motives and actions, overall it was good. I think the Blyss series was closely tied to this story and readers new to J. C. Cliff may have been a bit confused about the Blyss content. I know I was until I figured it out a bit later in the book. I believe J. C. Cliff was trying to tie the characters from both series together and in the end it worked out well. I am looking forward to reading more of the Undaunted Men series.

I would highly recommend Quinn and Quinn II by J. C. Cliff. It’s a suspenseful romance that can stand on it’s own merits.

“Only if you want it to be. I just figured I’d save you the trouble of having to ward off my teammates. I can name three of the guys who are interested in you. My threats to stop their advances can only go so far.”

“What if I didn’t want to go to your party? I can easily just tell them I’m not interested.”

He nodded and crossed his arms over his chest. “You could, but that doesn’t mean shit to these guys. They’ll keep hounding you until you give in. They love the chase.”

“Just like you,” I retorted with a smile.

“What can I say? I’m relentless when I want something.” I sucked in a breath and bit my lip. Did he really want me like that? The thought made everything inside of me tighten. It was too dangerous to think of him like that.

“So are you trying to save me from your friends or are you really wanting me to join you? I know how you guys work, and I don’t want to be a part of some game you’re playing to get girls.”

His grin faded, gaze hard. “I don’t play games, Summer. I may have in the past, but I would never do that to you. Have I ever given you the impression that you can’t trust me?”

Sighing, I shook my head. I felt like such an idiot. “No, and I’m sorry for being presumptuous. It’s just . . .” I paused and bit down on the side of my cheek.

“It’s just what?” he asked in all seriousness.

“It’s just this is all new to me. All I’ve ever known is Austin. Being around you makes me nervous. I’m not like the girls you’ve brought into the restaurant. If it’s sex you want, you can forget it. I’m not one of your groupies.” For a second there, I thought he was at a loss for words, but then he belted out in laughter. Ouch, that hurt. “I’m glad I could amuse you.”

When he straightened up, he took off his hat and ran his hands through his hair. And again, my heart sped up at the sight. Shit. “Damn, you are a fiery one. And just so we’re clear, I’m not trying to fuck you or trying to put another notch in my belt. Believe it or not, I’m actually interested in something else.”

“What is that, exactly?”

“I don’t know, but I’m hoping you can help me figure it out.” Grabbing my hand, he pulled me toward his truck. “Let’s go.”

Remembering Everly by J. L. Berg is the powerful conclusion to Forgetting August. It should not be read as a stand alone novel.

Forgetting August ended with a big cliffhanger. August was regaining his memories and finally confronted Everly about their last moments together before he ended up in the hospital. Everly has once again turned her back on August and is running from her true feelings. August is once again using all of his arsenal to push Everly away even though he loves her with his complete heart. They were given a second chance and both of them are throwing that chance away. What is compelling them to make the same mistakes again. For Everly, she can’t forget the pain. For August, he can’t forget the fear.

His memories are resurfacing. They are far more frightening than having no memory at all. His greed destroyed him once and that same greed is chasing him down. This time he’s not doing the chasing the money and power. He’s trying to keep that monster away. His life is in danger. His future is hanging in the perils. His heart is completely destroyed.

“Staying, are you? Figure it’s easier to kill me in my sleep?”

Once again, he rubbed his hand across his face. He said nothing.

“Trying to work out whose life is worth more, right? Mine is probably worth a lifetime of comfort for you. Kill me and everyone’s happy, right? My pathetic excuse for a father gets to keep his empire and you’re taken care of for life.”

He looked at me, and his expression was a little tortured. I was being harsh. I knew that. But I needed to be. It was easier to provoke him and be angry with him than give in to the horrible ache that had settled in my heart.

“Adriana…” Weak. The word was weak.

I wanted to ignore the indecision on his face, but I couldn’t.

He was considering it.

He really was.

I scoffed quietly at him and grabbed the gun from the coffee table. His mask and gloves fell to the floor, but he made no move to pick them up. The safety was on the gun, and I held it out to him. “Here. Take it. I don’t care, Hunter. I don’t have much of a life here in hiding anyway.”

A low growl left his throat, but he didn’t relent. He just kissed me harder. He kissed me until I was fucking spinning and could barely string two thoughts together. Until my whole body was alight with his touch and responding to his every movement.

Part love story, part episode of The Sopranos, HUNTER is one heck of a read. Carlo ‘Hunter’ Rossi has what it takes to be a successful hitman. Showing no compassion and no remorse, he gets the job done. But when he and Adriana meet again, all of the feelings that they once shared come flooding back. Adriana knows that she shouldn’t trust Hunter, but old feelings die hard. And, passion, well, these two have it in spades. Super-steamy, oh, yes. The heat-o-meter between these two is absolutely palpable.

Blaire’s second book is very different book, but it is still a story that I could not put down. Action-packed, with complex and likeable characters (which sounds so strange, because, well, they’re all mobsters), and plenty of heat, HUNTER is an entertaining page-turner that gets 4 ‘ya gotta read this now’ stars from me. I don’t know what Blaire will have for us next, but I look forward to it very much.

Is is a dream come true or a mixed up mess? Thirteen Bestselling Authors writing one story that will appeal to the fans in the romance genre. Each author that participated in this epic novel has their own individual writing style, their own particular specialities, and very different types of fans. How could one author that is known for comedic romance create a story with another author that is known for dark romance. Add other authors known for their intense characters, intense sexuality, and intense plots to the mix with a few new authors bringing their own talents to the table and my only thought was that this was going to be a very unique reading experience. Each of these authors are fantastic writers and the readers are in for a real treat.

Felony Ever After was one of the most delightful, craziest, and creative books I have read.

It all starts out with Verity Michaels hailing a cab and sharing a ride with the Hudson Fenn. What happens in that cab is not only a felony but the beginning of a heated romance. Verity and Hudson have more in common than red hot chemistry. The next twist starts with the mysterious packages that are being delivered to Verity’s creepy boss at work. Hudson is the delivery person. Verity is too curious for her own good. Neither has any idea of what is in the packages. A mystery clearly begins to unfold and when the revelations start appearing, the story takes off on another zany path. In the midst of all the insanity is Verity and Hudson.

I was impressed with this book. Each author paid meticulous attention to the characters personalities as they developed. They added multiple layers to each character that stayed in sync with the other authors contributions. As for what each author added in their chapters kept the story moving, taking surprising turns, yet stayed cohesive to the over all theme in the book.

I would of loved to watch these authors writing this book. They challenged each other’s creativity and gave the readers a delightful reading experience.
