Without much thought except for comfort, instinctively I pressed myself against him, fitting into his arms as easy as breathing. He leaned against the brick wall of the neighboring building and wrapped me up, sensing my need to be grounded.

I don’t know how long we stood like that—maybe a minute, maybe five—but soon our breaths were in sync; the rise and fall of his chest in perfect accord with mine.

One of his hands traced down my spine and then up. He outlined my shoulder blades with his fingertips. His hands drifted to my hips then caressed back up to my hair, massaging my scalp.

But what had started as an innocent hug changed.

Fire licked my skin everywhere he touched. Of their own accord, my hands slid down to his waist and teased the line where his jeans rested on his hips. I went further, my fingers toying with the V at his hip until I felt him harden against me.

Lips brushed the top of my hair. “Remi . . . look at me,” he said, his voice raspy.

I tilted my head up and his mouth fused with mine in an instant.

Romeo and Juliet is the epic love story that has enchanted readers throughout the ages.  Ilsa Madden-Mills has put her own spin on Romeo and Juliet with a much more gratifying ending.

Although Filthy English has similarities to Romeo and Juliet , it is a novel that stands on it’s own merit.  It has it’s own unique love story with a completely original plot.

Remi Montague is in London, England on her honeymoon without her groom.  She was jilted two weeks before her wedding.  Her honeymoon trip was non refundable.  What’s a jilted bride to do?  Take her best friend and head to London looking for some hot English men for her therapeutic rebound.  The first night there they hit Masquerade, the hottest nightclub in town.  This is the perfect place for Remi to find the kind of therapy she needs. Behind a mask she can be completely anonymous and become someone else.  It may take a bottle of tequila but she is determined.  When a hot, buff English guy sits next to her at the bar it is the perfect opportunity to score.  What Remi didn’t count on was the perfect hot English stranger would be Dax Blay.  A man from her past that left a very bad taste in her mouth while also leaving a sinful craving for more.

 Thus begins the story of Remi and Blay, the modern day Romeo and Juliet.  For this couple it isn’t family rivalries keeping them apart.  It’s their own stubborn personalities, personal demons, and fears that keep them apart.  Fate has a different idea and cupid is working overtime.  They are thrown together time after time.  They are developing a new friendship with quirky rules and written contracts.  Like Romoe and Juliet, Remi and Blay are true soulmates and nothing can change that fact.  They just have to open their eyes and hearts.

I loved Filthy English.  It was fun, sassy, snarky, a little bit filthy, and romantic.  Remi and Blay came to life and let their personalities shine.  Ilsa Madden-Mills created her own epic love story.

Oh, the best laid plans, and all of that. Because, Lauren Blakely, you’re not fooling any of us with this ‘no funny stuff’ business. Let me just put it out there, the connection between Jake and Anderson is instantaneous and white-hot. Like, sizzling. And, even better, the verbal back-and-forth is just more saucy foreplay for these two unlikely partners in crime. Or, the prevention of crime, as it were.

In my opinion, this book is a little bit of a departure for Lauren, and I have to say that I love, love, love it. The whole whodunit aspect of THE SAPPHIRE AFFAIR lends a sense of intrigue and mystery. That being said, this book is full of Lauren’s trademark snappy dialogue, fan yourself sexy times, and characters that feel like friends. An easy 5+ stars for this one. I will be not-so-patiently waiting for THE SAPPHIRE HEIST, the second book in this set. Grab this book and read it, guys, because August is coming fast, and you’ll want to be ready; I know that I am!

A new book by Kim Karr… that’s a no brainer… gotta read it!

Once again Kim Karr has written a romance that is fun, unique, red hot sexy, and entertaining.  This time around she has transplanted two die hard New Yorkers in sunny California.  Talk about an unusual fit.  Both characters are haunted by the past and at crossroads in their lives.  A fun, no strings attached affair is just what they both need in their new paradise. They both have to learn to let go and chill.  The New York state of mind is still in their blood and they realize that they are still just as driven as they were before they boarded the plane for California.  The only difference is they are California dreaming and learning lessons in love.  Love is the key to it all.

I absolutely loved No Pants Required.  The story came alive and the characters stole my heart.

“Come on, Cali, baby.” Oh great, here comes the sweet talk. “Just a quickie. No one will notice.”

He places a finger under my chin and I look up at him. Blue eyes twinkling, blond hair a sexy mess, a deadly smirk on a killer jawline—yeah, I’m shit at saying no to that.

“Okay,” I agree, but hold up three fingers. “You have three minutes.”

“Two,” he starts to undo his belt and the bulge at his crotch tells me two minutes might be enough. “Take off your panties, but leave everything else on.”

“I can’t believe we are doing this. Fucking in the Lincoln Bedroom is probably against the law or something.” I pull down my panties and Brady stuffs them in his pocket.

“I’ll give them back later. Now, get on the bed,” he says while whipping out his nine inches, and I grin knowing they are all mine.
