We are so excited to celebrate the release of UNFORGIVEN by Rebecca Shea today! Trust us, you do not want to miss out Lindsay and Matt’s story!
Unforgiven
Unbreakable Series – Book 3
By Rebecca Shea
Synopsis
Lindsay Christianson seemingly has it all—the perfect career, the perfect boyfriend, and the best-laid plans for a perfect life—until one phone call changes everything.
With a moments notice, Lindsay must choose between her perfect life and her professional dreams. The choice momentarily seems clear when the opportunity to propel her career abruptly sends her across the country, leaving everything she loves behind in North Carolina.
Navigating a new city with a broken heart and a job where her colleagues will do anything to sabotage her success, the pressure quickly becomes too great. When old habits resurface, Lindsay finds herself chasing demons she thought were long since buried.
With pain and destruction left in her wake, will Lindsay find a way to erase the damage she’s done, or will her sins remain unforgiven?
**This book is a Contemporary Romance and contains mature subject matter. It is not intended for those under 17 years of age.**
We met Lindsay and Matt in the previous novel in the Unbreakable series by Rebecca Shea. They are getting their own story in Unforgiven.
Unforgiven is an emotional story. It is a story of love lost, poor decisions, addiction, eating disorders, and healing.
Lindsay is offered her dream job in Arizona. She does not hesitate on making the decision of taking the job. She makes this decision knowing that Matt will not follow her to Arizona. She does not stop to think about the damage this decision can do to their relationship. She does not stop to think about the consequences she will suffer if she loses Matt. She is self centered and selfish concerning her dream job. Needless to say, not only does she damage her relationship with Matt, she more or less severs it completely.
Once she is in Arizona things look a little differently. Her dream job is not as wonderful as she thought it would be. She is lonely and missing her friends and family. She is heartbroken from losing Matt. While she is pursuing her dream job, she is self destructing in her personal life. She will hit rock bottom, hurt the ones she loves, betray friends, and almost kill herself. Now she will have to learn to live with her mistakes, take back control of her life, make amends with those she hurt, and find happiness within herself. The one thing she desires most is Matt’s love once again. How will she be able to repair the heartbreak she caused by choosing a job over his love?
Matt gave Lindsay his complete heart. He was devastated when she chose her job over him. Her actions in Arizona were like pouring salt into his wounds. He wants the best for Lindsay and hopes she finds peace in her life. He doesn’t know if he can dismiss her callous treatment of his love.
I loved the emotional side of the story. I thought Lindsay’s journey from hitting her all time low to healing and finding the true meaning of happiness was heartbreaking and uplifting. Rebecca Shea did a beautiful job portraying those circumstances.
What I found disappointing is the book seemed to focus on Lindsay. There were small amounts of Matt’s side of the story. The reader did not get to see much of their romance in the beginning. It was hard to validate their decision to get back together in the end. There was not much build up, romantic interaction, and validation. Most of this book focused on the time of their separation. I would of liked to see more romance.
I am happy that Lindsay and Matt got the happily ever after they needed.
I would highly recommend this book and the Unbreakable series.

I wasn’t prepared to hear those words. Neither was my loving husband, family or friends. And none of us were prepared for what life had in store after they were spoken.

It was time to take control of my life and the overwhelming chaos. Time to make the choices that were right for me. Right for my future. The future I hadn’t planned on.
My life didn’t stop when I heard those four little words . . . it was only just beginning

Teaser
“Jasmine there is so much you don’t know about me. I’ve got a lot of negative shit going on, all the time. But with you there is no negative. I don’t know why I feel like that, but I do. And I won’t just let you walk away from me because of what could happen or how shit could end.”
“Where do we even start? I don’t even know how this work.” I want to deny the feelings I have for him, and if I was a smart woman, I would, but, well right now I’m going to be stupid.
“I do.” Two words. He utters two words before he closes the space between us and brings his lips down to mine. One of his hands rests at the small of my back, pulling my body towards his while the other wraps around my neck pulling our mouths together. My hands grip the kitchen counter as I use them to lift myself up. I spread my legs apart so Ryan can rest between them. We continue to kiss, becoming a mess of lips and tongues and hands. He grabs the bottom of my shirt and pulls it off quickly, our kisses only halting to work it over my head.
He kisses me again, this time with more passion and need. His hands finding the straps of my bra and sliding each down with slow, yet determined movements. Once the straps are down, he makes quick work of the clasp in the back before throwing my bra on the floor where my shirt is already resting.
“If I need to stop, tell me now Jasmine, because once I start this, really start this, I won’t be able to.”
We need to stop for so many reasons: his job, my brother, the fact that we both seem to be carrying around some major baggage, but right now, all those reasons don’t seem to matter.
I say the only thing I can think to say, the only thing that matters right now, “don’t stop.”

CAISEY’S CASTING PICKS
EXCERPT
“God, you’re so f*cking beautiful.”
Her eyes widened up at him. She could only imagine how she looked. Hair messy and damp, his shirt sliding off one shoulder, eyes glazed over.
“You are.” He shook his head as if searching for the words to explain his attraction to her. “That first night, swear to everything holy, I thought you might be some mythical creature come to steal my soul. But you were so damn beautiful that I would have given it to you.”
She kept quiet, afraid to move or speak and risk breaking the magic that kept him with her, kept him from running. He wasn’t running. He was opening up and being honest.
Dean lowered himself into the bed beside her, propping on one elbow and facing her. Fate mirrored his position and admired the way the moonlight lit his handsome face.
“I asked the universe for a sign. It sent me you.”
Her whispered confession made him smile. But his expression turned serious far too soon for her liking. “I felt it the moment I saw you. A compulsion like I’d never felt before, as if some unseen force propelled me toward you without my consent. I’ve felt it ever since.”
Fate rested her head on her hands and nodded against them. “I feel it too. I’m just…a little afraid of it. Of what it might cost us.”
“My mom used to say that things worth having didn’t come easy and that the kind of girl that was worth waiting for wouldn’t wait on anyone. Those two adages keep coming back to me every time I think of you.”
She inched her hand over toward his. “Do you do that often? Think of me?”
Dean kept eye contact, only breathing and watching her. “Define often.”
Fate grinned. “More than once a week.”
The slight curve of his lips faded and his gaze became a heavy, tangible thing she could feel pressing into her.
“I thought of you every day, Fate. And I didn’t even know your name. Even after I did… I think after that, it was more like several times a day.”
She wanted to keep this moment, to keep him here with her just like this. Both of them exposed and vulnerable. It was real and honest and—despite her exhaustion— exhilarating. But she knew it wouldn’t last forever. Nothing ever did.
“Sleep with me tonight. Don’t leave. Just… Just sleep with me, please.”
He nodded, letting his fingers interlace with hers between them and placing a soft kiss on the top of her hand. “I’m not going anywhere. Goodnight, sweetheart.”
“Goodnight, Dean.”

Kelley’s Review
This is a book that you pick up and can’t put down until it’s over and even then you are wishing there were just a few more pages.
Dean would have never thought in a million years that the woman he found running down the beach would memorize him for months to come. She was absolutely stunning and almost angelic. She wanted Dean not for who he was or for the money he had, she just wanted the man and he wanted to know more about her. Dean wondered when it was all over if it was just a dream. He had her in his arms one moment and in the next she was gone.
Fate was so furious. She had changed her life for Trevor. She had molded herself into everything he could have ever wanted. She picked the wedding dress he liked, the cake he liked. Everything was about making Trevor happy. She even drank red wine because he insisted on ordering it for her. She hated it. The only thing she held onto was her virginity. She wanted their wedding night to be special. A night to remember. She ever expected that the night before her wedding would be the one she would never forget. When she found her maid of honor in the wine celler with her fiance she snapped. She asked for a sign and then ran smack dab into Dean. He was gorgeous and sexy and she needed to forget Trevor and do something spontaneous and crazy and so she decided a one stop roll in the sand might be what she needs.
Casiey does an excellent job brining two broken people together that were never meant to be. Dean has watched his father go through women like tissues and is not interested in settling down anytime soon. Fate is fighting what she feels for Dean because she saw how her mother went through men and then there was the whole Trevor thing. Some how Casiey has them facing their demons and grabbing on to something real.
I adored this read. I was sucked in by the pre-quel novella. If you want a read that you can’t put down that is filled with forbidden love and smoking hot chemistry then you will love Falling For Fate.

In the third and final book of the Rachel’s Peril trilogy, prepare to have everything you thought you knew turned upside down. In the first seven days of this trilogy, everything changed. Now Andrea and Dylan are on the run and the Thompson Sisters are fighting to understand what has happened to their world.
Charles Sheehan-Miles is one of the most talented authors I have had the pleasure to read. His writing is brilliant. He delivers a book that has all the elements readers want in a book. His books are very well plotted with sub plots that merge into the master plot. These sub plots give the book more depth and add to the pacing of the book. He adds suspense, intrigue, high octane action, and emotional characters. His characters are complex people with multiple layers to their personalities. Charles adds the emotional elements that bring these characters and their stories to life. Most importantly he shows the high value of love and the importance of family.
The Rachel Peril series has been a phenomenal series from the beginning. The Thompson sisters and their families are the main characters in this series. Each sister has her own story, her own dilemmas and life issues. The sisters are brought together through baby Rachel, who’s health is failing. What starts as finding a marrow donor for baby Rachel turns into a life threatening situation for all the Thompson sisters. Someone is out to destroy the Thompson family and end their lives. As the danger escalates and each sister escapes death by the skin of their teeth, the mystery seems to get deeper and deeper. Who would want to kill them?
As the story unfolds, deep hidden family secrets will surface. As the secrets begin to unravel the element of danger escalates. Multiple villains will get into the action. There will be several players after this family for very different reasons that stem from one hideous moment in Richard Thompson’s career.
The Rachel’s Peril series has many key players that are centered around Richard Thompson’s earlier career in the CIA. There will be several government agencies investigating the Thompson family. The will be several government agencies, national and international that will be trying to protect their secrets. Richard Thompson will do anything to protect his career and secrets, even at the cost of his own family.
This series kept me engaged. Between the suspense and intrigue, my mind was spinning. As the Thompson family secrets are revealed, my heart was breaking. Each time the Thompson women fought back, I was celebrating their strength. My heart broke for these women as the sins of the past finally come to the surface. But what impressed me the most about this series is the dedication, love, and strength the Thompson sisters possessed. Family meant everything and they leaned on each other to survive.
I highly recommend the Rachel’s Peril series. It will not disappoint.
Charles Sheehan-Miles has been a soldier, computer programmer, short-order cook and non-profit executive, and is the author of several fiction and non-fiction books, including the indie bestsellers Just Remember to Breathe and Republic: A Novel of America’s Future. Charles and his partner Andrea Randall live and write together in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
A sinfully sexy romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Jessie Evans.
Even sweet cowboys have a sinful side…
Robert Lawson–Bubba to his friends–is six feet, four inches of tall, dark, and handsome cowboy, with a panty-melting voice and a face made to launch a country music career. But when his family’s ranch hands go down with the flu, Robert cancels his high-profile auditions in Austin, and returns home to Lonesome Point to help out. Fortune and fame are all well and good, but family and friends come first. Besides, he’s ready to enjoy some off-the-clock time with his manager, a woman who has him dying to show her what a good man can do to a woman when he’s given permission to be bad.
Marisol Medina has been looking for her golden ticket since she became a country music manager. A scandal with one of her clients nearly destroyed her, but now she’s close to launching an artist who will make her career. Robert Lawson has it all–talent, charisma, and a naughty side that flicks all of Marisol’s kinkier switches. But Robert is off limits. She refuses to mix business and pleasure, even if it will be hell resisting temptation while spending a week at the Lawson family ranch, doing her best to convince Robert to ditch the saddle and embrace his future as a star.
But as Marisol and Robert grow closer and the passion between them ignites, Marisol must decide if fear is stronger than love, or if a chance at forever is worth breaking all her rules.
The kiss started off soft and sweet, with so much heart in every brush of skin against skin that Bubba’s throat pulled tight with emotion. But then Marisol’s tongue slipped between his lips and he tasted the smoky sweet taste of her, and his body began to respond the way it always did when this woman was in his arms. Soon his heart was slamming against his ribs, he was hard enough to transform his jeans into a medieval instrument of torture, and it felt like the world was going to end if he didn’t get her naked and underneath him in the next sixty seconds.
“Hold that thought,” he growled against her lips, reaching out to squeeze her thigh before starting the truck and pulling back onto the road.
“I hope you live close by,” Marisol said, her breath coming fast.
“Right around the corner and down a hill,” he said. “We’re going to be in my bed in five minutes.”
“I don’t care if we make it to the bed,” Marisol said, sending another jolt of awareness surging between his legs. “Bent over the back of the couch is fine with me.”
“Keep talking like that and we might not make it past the foyer,” he warned, letting his foot shove the gas pedal closer to the floorboards.
The foyer is fine.” Marisol leaned in, whispering the words against his neck in a voice so fucking sexy it was almost enough to make him come right there. “The floor there can’t be much harder than the rocks by the pool.”
Tracey’s Review
Life is about to change for Robert ‘Bubba’ Lawson in a very big way. The success he’s long dreamed of is on the horizon, and there is no one he’d rather share it with than Marisol Medina. Marisol, Bubba’s manager, is a real pepper pot, a go-getter with a feisty attitude and the drive to help Bubba break into the country music scene. She also happens to drive him wild, and the feeling is very mutual.
I cannot even put into words the love that I feel for Robert ‘Bubba’ Lawson. Jessie Evans has written a sweet and sexy cowboy that, if possible, is even hotter than all of her previous men, and that’s saying quite a lot! I mean, swoon city. Not only is Bubba an awesome friend, as he showed us in ‘Leather and Lace’ (Lonesome Point Book 1), he is also a genuinely nice guy. Did I mention that he’s panty-meltingly hot? And talented? And smart? And quite possibly the most fabulous boyfriend ever?
I picked up this book and, as with all of Jessie’s books, could NOT put it down. Once I really met Bubba, there was nothing to do but hang on for the ride as he swept Marisol off her feet and broke down every wall that she tried to put up. He is not afraid to lay everything out there, and to make Marisol’s not-so-vanilla fantasies a reality. For real, where can I get my own Bubba? I’m afraid that Jessie may have spoiled me for other book boyfriends…I obviously cannot say enough about how much I loved Saddles and Sins, and I absolutely cannot wait for Tulsi’s and Pike’s story in Diamonds and Dust.

STAY WITH ME TRAILER:
EXCERPT:
As I lay there, trying to swallow a loud, obnoxious yawn, I remembered something he’d said when we first met, about life being too short. I imagined he had firsthand experience with shortened lives while he was serving. That mentality came from experience. I got that now. Could even understand it, but there was something I didn’t understand.
“Why?” I asked.
There was a beat. “Why what?”
Jax sounded tired, and I should shut up or point out that I was now tired and could sleep, so he could leave. But I didn’t. “Why are you here? You don’t know me and . . .” I trailed off, because there really wasn’t anything left to say.
A minute went by, and he hadn’t answered my question, and then I think another minute ticked on, and I was okay with him not answering because maybe he didn’t even know. Or maybe he was just bored and that was why he was here.
But then he moved.
Jax pressed against my back, and the next breath I took got stuck in my throat. My eyes shot open. The sheet and blanket were between us, but they felt like nothing.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Getting comfortable.” He dropped an arm over my waist, and my entire body jerked against his. “It’s time to sleep I think.”
“But—”
“You can’t sleep when you talk,” he remarked.
“You don’t need to be all up on me,” I pointed out.
His answering chuckle stirred the hair along the back of my neck. “Honey, I’m not all up on you.”
I freaking begged to differ on that point. I started to wiggle away, but the arm around my waist tightened, holding me in place.
“You’re not going anywhere,” he announced casually, as if he wasn’t holding me prisoner in the bed.
Okay. The whole prisoner thing might be melodramatic, but he wasn’t letting me up. Not when he was getting all kinds of comfy behind me.
Oh my God, this was spooning. Total spooning. I was spooning with an honorary member of the Hot Guy Brigade. Did I wake up in a parallel universe?
“Sleep,” he demanded, as if the one word carried that much power. “Go to sleep, Calla.” This time his voice was softer, quieter.
“Yeah, it doesn’t work that way, Jax. You have a nice voice, but it doesn’t hold the power to make me sleep on your command.”
He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes, but the most ridiculous thing ever was the fact that after a couple of minutes, my eyes stayed shut. I . . . I actually settled in against him. With his front pressed to my back, his long legs cradling mine, and his arm snug around my waist, I actually did feel safe. More than that, I felt something else—something I hadn’t felt in years.
I felt cared for . . . cherished.
Which was the epitome of dumb, because I barely knew him, but feeling that, recognizing what the warm, buzzing feeling was, I fell right asleep.
