Caleb made sure the door was shut softly and they were well away from Isabella’s room, before he rounded on Leif.

“Are you out of your goddamn mind?” Though his tone was low, he knew that Leif was aware he was being shouted at.

“What is your problem?”

“You looked like you were ready to spank that girl in there.” Caleb looked at his friend, and didn’t see a single bit of remorse on Leif’s face. He couldn’t believe the level of stupidity that was surrounding him today. First, there was Isabella who couldn’t see that she had been a child wracked with sorrow, reaching out for comfort, and used by predatory scum in college. Now here was Leif, with his inner Dom in full force, planning on showing her the error of her ways because she didn’t think she was worthy.

“Caleb, didn’t you hear the crap that she was saying about herself?”

“Yes, Leif, I did. Shall I recap for you?” Caleb knew his voice was sarcastic, but his temper was blown. Leif should know better than this. He continued, “I know that we are dealing with someone who has almost no sexual experience. Would you agree?” Caleb waited, and finally Leif nodded.

“We are dealing with someone who thinks she has been promiscuous and if I had to guess, based on her upbringing, she sees what happened to her as something sinful that she alone caused. Are you with me, Leif? Are you tracking?”

“Yes, Samuels, I’m tracking.”

“We are dealing with someone who is sheltered and by her own admission, is still struggling with her deep attraction to the two of us. Still with me?” Leif just stared at him.

“And that precious woman in there just basically said that she cared enough for us, that she could see herself falling in love with us. She told us that she wants us to have the best possible woman to make a life with, but that she doesn’t think that she is good enough to be that woman.” Caleb took a deep breath and continued. “She said that, Leif, because she is empathetic, caring, loving and wonderful. Meanwhile, you’re over there thinking with your goddamn dominant dick, instead of realizing that we have a chance to nurture and love and be loved by the best thing that has ever happened to us.”

Caleb watched as his words sank in.

“But how can she doubt herself like that, Caleb? It makes no sense!” Leif walked over to the counter where he had left his beer, felt the warm bottle and poured it down the sink before getting a cold one out of the fridge.

“Didn’t you ever spend any time with your mom or your sister?” Caleb held out his hand and Leif handed him a beer as well.

“Yeah, I guess Kara was going through some stuff where she didn’t know which way was up, but she always knew her own worth.” Seriously surrounded by stupidity, Caleb thought to himself as he took a pull from his beer.

“Leif, let’s look at this from another angle. I know that there were times when all four of you Johansen kids took shit because you had two dads.”

“We sure as hell didn’t take it for long.” Leif’s grin was feral. Caleb couldn’t help but smile back. Growing up in Fate Harbor, he was often right beside Caleb and his siblings whenever a disparaging comment was made about the Johansen parents being a triad. Soon there was no kid in school who had anything to say about the Johansens or any triad families, because they knew they’d get the shit kicked out of them.

“What I’m saying is that Isabella is cut from a different cloth than the Johansen clan. Clearly, she got called some pretty vicious names while she was in college. These accusatory labels apparently tied into her moral upbringing. So it’s easy to see how she ended up with some deep-seated beliefs about who she is, and level of worthiness she’s assigned to herself since those days. This is not about somebody who is mouthing off things to offend her Dom so she can get spanked, Leif! This is a young woman who has a broken mirror.” Caleb took another long pull off his beer and set it down on the counter, happy to see Leif really thinking about what he had said. He turned and made his way back down the hall.

But when I board the plane to Costa Rica I look like a laid back surfer without a care in the world. I have planned the perfect revenge. At least I think I have. Then I see her…

Eric heard those words and knew he should walk away. But desire mixed with that one word. Dare. His imagination ran in ten different directions. The things he wanted to do to her, the places he wanted to see his hands move over her body, and hers over his, raced through his mind. It was like watching a highlight reel of his sexual fantasies.
But this wasn’t about him.

Eric leaned across the table, keeping his voice low even though he’d demanded a table in a quiet corner of the restaurant, just in case having others around them set off warning bells in her head. “I dare you to tell me your fantasies.”
Georgia’s eyes widened. “A dare is supposed to be an action.”
He sat back in his seat and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Feel free to demonstrate.”

She raised an eyebrow, and he wondered if she planned to take him up on his offer. If her fantasies were anything like his, a little show-and-tell would draw unwanted attention. And it might get them arrested.

She cocked her head as if debating which path to choose. Part of him screamed demonstrate. He could afford the bail.

“Are you done with your chowder?” she asked.

He nodded.

“Get the check,” she said. “I’ll tell you while we walk along the beach. Your condo isn’t far from here, right?”

“Five minutes on foot.” Eric withdrew his wallet and dropped a pile of bills on the table, more than enough to cover the meal and tip. “Let’s go.”

Watching her slide from the booth and head for the exit, knowing where this was headed when they reached the shore, the last shreds of his self-restraint snapped. It was as if he was waiting for her towel to drop again, unwilling to look away.

Eric followed her out the door and down the old wooden steps to the beach. Silently, they walked side by side. He couldn’t touch her. Not yet. This wasn’t a sweet stroll by the shore, hand in hand. One touch would set him on fire. He had a feeling it would do the same for her.

The sun was inching lower and lower in the sky, but it was still too bright. And even when it fell below the horizon, the lights from the condo buildings and hotels lining the shore would cast a soft glow over the beach, bright enough to illuminate two people stripping down in the sand.

Twenty paces from the Clam Shack, alone on the shore except for a man tossing a tennis ball for his dog, Eric leaned over, careful not to touch his lips to her ear. “Start talking, Georgia.”

“My fantasies?”

He nodded. “Tell me. I dare you.”

She shoved her hands in the front pockets of her jeans, and her eyes focused on the sand in front of her, as if she were doing her best not to step on shells or debris. In the dimming light, he couldn’t read her expression.

“You’re my fantasy,” she said.

Eric stopped short, her words hitting him in the gut. He’d been waiting for her to describe something kinky and wild. “Georgia—”

About MY SO-CALLED DEATH

Just because you don’t have a pulse doesn’t mean you can’t be perky.

One second, freshman Karen Vera’s on top of the most fabulous cheer pyramid ever. The next, she’s lying on the pavement with seriously unflattering cranial damage. Freakishly alive without a pulse, Karen learns that she’s a genetically undead zombie.

Suddenly, Karen’s non-life is an epic disaster. She’s forced to attend a boarding school for the “death-challenged,” her roommate is a hateful wannabe-Goth weirdo, and she’s chowing down on animal brains every day to prevent rot (um, ew?). Even worse, someone is attacking students and harvesting their brains for a forbidden dark ritual. And it might be the hottest guy at DEAD High, the one who makes Karen’s non-beating heart flutter!

Armed with a perky smile and killer fashion sense, it’s up to Karen to track down the brain snatcher and save her fellow students from certain zombie death.

A light romantic mystery filled with gross-out humor and plenty of brains perfect for fans of Ally Carter, Robin Benway, and C.L. Stone.

Tracey’s Review

When I heard that My So-Called Death by Stacey Jay was being re-released, it was a no-brainer (ha!) that I was going to have to read it. Stacey has written some of my favorite YA books, and, although this one is aimed at the younger end of the YA age group, it is still completely engaging.

Karen Vera, the heroine of this story, is a pert and sassy cheerleader, who, to put it politely, is Death-challenged, which means that she has a genetic mutation that prevents her from dying. But, when your entire school sees you tumble from the top of a cheer formation to your death, what is there to do but roll with the changes? Karen is whisked off to DEAD High School, so that she may better learn what it means to live as a member of the dead.

I have to admit that zombies are not usually on my list of paranormal creatures that I want to read about. All that blood and death and brain-eating, you know. But the characters in this book are not your typical zombies. Stacey has taken the stereotype and completely changed it, writing a story that is campy and fun, and, given the subject matter, pretty darned enjoyable. I found myself laughing out loud at the intros to each chapter. Entries from books like, ‘Total Health for the Death-Challenged, 5th Edition’ and ‘Zombie Poets Through the Ages, 2nd Edition’ were witty and entertaining. The mystery that pairs Karen and her boy zombie crush Gavin ties everything together nicely, making this a story that YA readers will very much enjoy, and, coupled with the snarky banter and typical teen angst, makes for a fast and enjoyable read.

Excerpt from MY SO-CALLED DEATH

“Respecting your new room mate is essential. Now that you are one of the Undead, you could conceivably live for hundreds of years. The relationships you begin now will be the friendships that carry you through the millennium. Remember that, and conduct yourselves accordingly.”

–DEAD High Dorm Handbook for Incoming Students

“Wanted: White noise machine, will pay any price. Would be awesome if it had one of those aromatherapy things too. My roommate snores and smells! Pleaz help! Am exhausted and nasally tormented!”

–Note on Girls’ Dorm bulletin board

“Clarice sucks butt.”

–Bathroom stall, girls’ second floor bathroom

“What are you doing? Is that a cheerleader on my wall?” The shriek from the doorway made me scream and then burst out laughing.

I always laugh when I’m scared. I probably would have laughed as I was falling off the cheer pyramid if there had been time. Admittedly weird, but my friends back in my human life thought it was funny that I giggled all the way through horror movies.

“What are you laughing at? That has to come down.” The girl in the door glared at the United Cheerleader Association calendar I’d hung on my side of the room and threw her sweater on the floor. Her greasy, shoulder length black hair twitched angrily around her shoulders and her heavily lined gray eyes narrowed as if she’d just spotted a maggot on her arm.

Maggots are a zombie’s only natural predator—aside from angry mobs of humans or supernatural slayer types. Principal Samedi had already warned me to watch out for flies that love to lay their eggs in Undead flesh because, once they get started, maggot infestations can be almost impossible to get under control.

Ugh. Maggot infestation. If there was a grosser combination of words in the English language I couldn’t think of it.

The thought made me laugh again. I was in a laugh or cry situation. I had to giggle or I was going to lose what was left of my sense of humor.

“Ohmygod, what is wrong with you?” the girl asked, wrinkling her upper lip.

Guess she didn’t share my human friends’ appreciation for ill-timed chortling.

ConfessionOfATeenageZombieQueen_1600x2400 About CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE ZOMBIE QUEEN

All in all, it was a good day to die. If there really is such a thing.

You hear characters in movies say things like that sometimes, but does anyone really believe the words “good” and “die” belong in the same sentence?

Still, it could have been worse. It could have been a dark and spooky night instead of a beautiful Georgia evening in late October, with a light wind whipping across the Peachtree High football field, making zombies seem like the last thing anyone needed to worry about…

One second, freshman Karen Vera’s on top of the most fabulous cheer pyramid ever. The next, she’s lying on the pavement with seriously unflattering cranial damage. Freakishly alive without a pulse, Karen learns that she’s a genetically undead zombie.

Blog Tour: Home to Me by Ruth Cardello

Synopsis
Nick Andrade:

Sexy, charming, bad boy. He’s never been a one woman man, but he’s willing to give it a try every Saturday with Rena.

Rena Sander:

Confident, caring, a woman who plays by the rules. She’s never been in love, and thinks keeping sex with Nick contained to one day a week will protect her heart.

He’s the hot fantasy she’s always craved.

She’s the only woman he’d consider reforming for.

When their relationship is exposed and they must defend it, will these two lovers discover that home is in each other’s arms?

Excerpt

He didn’t believe for a moment she wasn’t interested in him. No woman kisses a man the way she’d kissed him unless she feels something for him.

She’s scared. She said she’d been warned to stay away from him, and Rena had always been one to play it safe.

He told himself he should respect her decision.

He should call any of the women he’d been with recently and fuck them until he couldn’t remember how incredibly hot Rena’s mouth had been. Or how her tight little body had felt pressed against him. He needed to do something that would dull how vividly he remembered how her perfectly rounded ass felt in his hands.

There was only one reason he wouldn’t do that.

He looked down at his traitorous dick. “You’ve never been picky before. Why start now?”

Rena brought a shaky hand to her temple. With her other hand she retrieved her phone and reread Nick’s messages.

He wanted to see her.
And more.

Rena shivered as she imagined all the possible things that could mean. Images of the two of them, naked and sprawled across his bed, sweaty from a marathon of raw fucking, brought a blush to Rena’s cheeks. Part of her wanted to simply text Yes.

Yes to whatever he had in mind. If their kiss was anything to go by, sex with Nick would be unlike anything she’d experienced.
It wouldn’t be warm and comfortable.

It would be hot, consuming . . . and wrong.

Synopsis

Summerhill, Book 5

Summer Welles wants the fairy tale.

The illegitimate daughter of Reginald Summerhill, the Earl of Amberlin, she listened to her mother’s stories about the Summerhill girls all her life. In her mind, Summer was part of the stories too—living in the castle, wearing fancy dresses, and falling in love with Prince Charming.

Her wish came true. Mostly. She lives in the Summerhill mansion. She has stepsisters—nice ones who don’t make her clean the chimney. She even has a magical wedding dress waiting for her special day. The only thing missing is the perfect man.

She knows exactly who he is, and she’s going to confront him at the annual Midnight Masquerade Ball. What Summer didn’t count on was mistaking a masked frog for her prince.

Once she kisses the mysterious man, he won’t go away. And he’s not sweet or charming or princely. He seems more interested in ravishing her rather than riding off into the sunset with her, and—worse—she’s tempted to let him.
Her fairy tale at stake, Summer’s faced with her own quest that neither frog nor prince can rescue her from: sacrifice her Happily Ever After, or turn her back on the one man who makes her feel alive?

Kelley’s Review

This is a love story with a twist. I adored this read. You can’t help but fall in love with Summer after everything she has been through. Summer only recently found out that she is the illegitimate child of Reginald Summerhill. She had no idea that he had another family. Because of an act of fate she is accepted into the Summerhill family and has begun to form an amazing bond with her half siblings and their mother. Now she wants a few of them have. A man who is good and kind to share the rest of her life with. She believes she has found that man and he is Ryan Huber. Ryan works in the same building as she and she has been pinning for him from afar. He gives to charity and is handsome and she can tell from his eyes that there is kindness in him. The problem is that Ryan just announced his engagement and Summer feels she might have missed her chance at true love. So she decides she is going to confront him at a masquerade ball with a kiss and that he will be swept off his feet just like the prince is in all the fairy tales she read as a child.

Jon Smith has been hired to check into Ryan. There are questions about whether or not he might me misappropriating funds. So Jon goes undercover as a favor to an old friend as a very wealthy man looking to invest some money. The last thing Jon saw coming was Summer Welles. He ran into her on an elevator and listened as she spoke to her sister about being Ryan’s fiancée. Jon thought Ryan was a very lucky man. You can only imagine the shock and awe when Summer kisses him by mistake at the masquerade ball. There is undeniable chemistry right away but there is no way that Jon is interested in a kind of relationship even if the woman makes his heart race. He has plans to retire. Besides she wants Ryan not him.

I loved how Kate wove a tale of deceiving appearances. You really can’t judge a book by its cover. This story had a fun twist that I really enjoyed. The banter between Jon and Summer had me laughing out loud. Kate does a great job with character development. Jon is a broken man who just wants to close up shop so he can disappear from it all. She brings Jon around to coming to the realization that retirement might not be what it is cracked up to be. Summer is full of life and hides behind her black suits. She wants to be noticed, but then she doesn’t. The unwanted chemistry between Jon and Summer is sizzling.

I have truly adored this series. It has this historical feel in modern times. I am so excited to see what Summerhill girl will be married off next. If you are a fan of Historical or Contemporary Romance you will love Once Upon A Dream as well as the other books in this series. It has been a favorite of mine and I am really looking forward to visiting Summerhill again soon.

Excerpt

“So, Cade tells me you know each other. How did you meet Katie?”

“Well, I met him a few weeks ago at his show here in LA. I had never been before. I’ve always been a fan and I couldn’t miss a chance to see them live.” I was floored. Why in the world would Cade Walker go on a talk show and stay to sit and chat with me? On live TV. With tons of viewers. Jeez. My mom was going to shit herself.

“That’s true. She was at my show. She came backstage and hung out with the guys for a while too. But what she isn’t saying is that we had no idea she was such a big deal. I asked about what she does and she said she was an actress. Those are a dime a dozen in LA so I just assumed she was doing commercials or something. So imagine my surprise when I turn on my TV and there she is. She’s a huge star.” Cade laughed ruefully.

This was blowing my mind. Cade was impressed by me? I really thought he’d think my work was a joke. Hell, I think my work is a joke.

“You really had no idea?” Fallon asked. “She has a billboard in New York you know. It’s huge. I have a picture actually.” On the screen in front of us, the picture appeared.

Ugh. Really? How embarrassing.

“Holy Shit. How did I not know who you were?” Cade asked me while looking at the picture.

“It’s not a big deal.” I said trying to convince someone, anyone.

“Looks pretty big to me.” Fallon deadpanned.

I put my hand over my face and laughed.

“Let’s talk about Cade now. He’s done tours and magazine covers and stuff. Let’s not talk about my hugely embarrassing billboard.” I begged.

“Hey, we talked about me earlier. It’s your turn.” Cade said with a grin.

Damn he’s hot. I want to lick his face.

“Let’s talk about your upcoming projects Katie. We know about your movie Mother Knows Best. What else is in the works for you?” Jimmy asked

“I’m looking into a few things now. I got a few scripts I’m going over. I have a few offers but I’m looking to branch out with my next project. Maybe something out of my comfort zone. I want a challenge.” I told him.

That was my big moment. Now the world knew my plans. Before my parents too. This whole day was going to cause me a lot of problems.

“That’s interesting. I had the author of Damaged, Sarah Billings, here yesterday. They’ve optioned off her book to be made into a movie soon. I asked her who she envisioned as her leading lady. She said she would love to have you play Lilly Wright. It’s a little sexier than what you normally do. Would you consider doing something like this?” Jimmy asked.

I was surprised. I hadn’t heard anything about the project. But I had read the book. It appealed to my darker, kinkier side. I would love to do something just like that.

“Wow! Really? I am blown away. I had no idea. I am incredibly honored that she mentioned me. I have to say, a movie like that is really appealing. You never know what I could do next.” I replied.

Suddenly I was giddy with excitement. That was exactly the opportunity I was looking for.

I was pulled away from my thoughts by Cade’s sexy voice. How I forgot he was there I have no idea. He had been quietly observing our conversation.

“I would love to see you do something like that Kat. I bet you’d be great.” He smiled at me.

I felt butterflies flit through my stomach. This guy was too much. Suddenly I was overwhelmed by his presence next to me. The spicy scent of him. It wasn’t cologne. It was too subtle. And utterly enticing.

“Maybe you should play Jackson, the alpha male love interest, Cade. I could see it. You’ve both got chemistry. You look good together. I’d go see it. Maybe I could even get paid for putting it all together.” Fallon laughed.

I laughed too, imagining Cade acting like a millionaire businessman. He had the power and presence but he wasn’t quite right for that role.

“I’m not sure I could pull that one off. I don’t think anyone would want to see a movie I was in.” Cade protested.

“Are you kidding? I’d watch it. Especially if you took your shirt off. I’ve seen that Rolling Stone cover you did. It was pretty hot.” I said eyeing him. “I bet America would love it too. What do you think?” I said looking out at the audience and grinning when the women present went wild.

“What about me? I look alright with my shirt off.” Fallon joked.

“Sure. We can come up with our own screenplay. We can call it Deranged.” Cade quipped.

Guest Post

Finding Kat centers around Katherine Foster. She’s quirky and fun but she hides that part of herself from the world. She’s an actress and knows that her image is very important. Her parents manage her career and have made her career more important than her. She’s a happy, upbeat person and tends to turn any kind of stress or tension into a joke. She’s dated a few guys but they were more into the press and popularity dating her got them. Her parents don’t set a good example for Kat when it comes to relationships and emotions so she has to wing it and figure out things as she goes along. She believes in true love but hasn’t ever really thought she’d find it.

Cade Walker is a Rock Star. He’s been in the industry since he was 18 and his band got a huge record deal. He’s done his share of partying and dating but he’s not the same guy he was when he was still influenced by the fame and the attention. He’s a private guy, he learned the hard way that anyone will make up a story or spin the truth to get attention. He’s come to realize that in order to be taken seriously he has to separate himself from the person he used to be, but it’s harder than he realized. Cade is also a bit of a romantic, his parents met and fell in love pretty much instantly so he knows what a real relationship and true love look like and he’s always had his eyes open looking for her.

They didn’t expect to meet someone. They’re in transition and trying to reassert themselves, but they have a chemistry and connection. They relate to each other. They’ve been through similar things.

This book is about a couple coming together, meeting and deciding to take things slow and build a real relationship. They know what real is, they’ve faked it for so long they need something lasting and real. But life has a way of testing you; throwing a curve ball. Can something so new and fragile survive when every eye is on them rooting them to fail?

Book 2 in the Filthy Beautiful Lies series.

I never expected to watch Sophie walk away. She was mine. I would own her. She just didn’t know it yet. New goal: Seal the deal and rock her world so thoroughly she never wanted to leave again.

Highly sexual and emotionally charged, Filthy Beautiful Love is the provocative conclusion to Filthy Beautiful Lies.

6 starKelley’s Review

I fell in love with Sophie and Colton all over again!  Grab some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and some tissues and get ready for an epic emotional journey that you never saw coming.

I loved Filthy Beautiful Lies.  It had the perfect amount of angst, drama, and sexual chemistry.  Kendall left it on a note that had me counting the days until Filthy Beautiful Love came out.  I started Filthy Beautiful Love and thought wow things are really working out for Colton and Sophie.  Everything is falling into place so easily. Colton has been up front and honest with Sophie about everything and Sophie is madly in love with Colton and can see what is really in his heart so she is very forgiving.  Things were looking really good for the two of them.  I thought to myself this is so different from Filthy Beautiful Lies and I put the book down for the night.  What I am trying to say is hang on a minute.  It’s coming.  The plot twist that will turn your world upside down and inside out and have you crying those big crocodile tears.  Colton and Sophie do indeed have to fight for their happily ever after and this time it is up to Colton to bring Sophie back into the light.

Kendall does an amazing job developing her characters all the way down to their deepest darkest fears. Colton is afraid to love again after being seriously burned.  He has a ton of trust issues and Sophie has never lived for herself before, only for her sister.  She has never done anything for herself.  We really see Sophie’s fears come to life when Kendall throws in a heart-wrenching plot twist that had me crying no, no, no, this can’t be happening.  We also get a really good look at Pace and Kylie in this read.  Kylie is a single super hero mom who amazingly juggles it all.  She can care for a teething infant and work on a multi-million dollar project at the same time.  Pace has some serious soothing magic when it comes to babies and has his eyes on Kylie.  It dumbfounded both Colton and Sophie that such a player and ladies man can be so suave with a crying baby.

This book is a six star read because of the amount of emotion that she evoked in me.  I was hot and bothered one minute because of the insane sexual chemistry between Colton and Sophie and the next minute I was crying like a baby.  I love my reads to take me on a full circle emotional rollercoaster and Kendall delivers.

If you like your romance to grip your heart and at the same time heat up your sheets you will love Filthy Beautiful Love.  I can’t wait for Pace and Kylie’s story.

“What’s so funny?” he looks down at his penis and back up at me with a frown.

“Nothing.” I straighten my mouth, losing the smile.

“Sophie,” he chastises. “You were looking down at my dick and laughing.”

“I didn’t laugh,” I correct him.

“Fine, then you were smiling at him like the two of you were sharing some inside joke.

Everything good between the two of you?”

Meet Colton Drake

I have no idea why she auctioned off her virginity for a cool mill. Regardless, I’m now the proud new owner of a perfectly intact hymen. A lot of good that will do me. I have certain tastes, certain sexual proclivities. My cock is a bit more discriminatory than most. And training a virgin takes finesse and patience – both of which I lack.

Sophie Evans has been backed into a corner. With her sister’s life hanging in the balance, the only choice is to claw her way out, even if that means selling her virginity to the highest bidder at an exclusive erotic club. When Colton Drake takes her home, she quickly learns nothing is as it seems with this beautifully troubled man. Being with him poses challenges she never expected, and pushes her to want things she never anticipated.

A sinfully seductive erotic romance where everything has a price and the cost of love is the highest of all from New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Kendall Ryan

Pace Drake loves sex. He knows where get it, what to say, what to do, and he makes no apologies for satisfying his needs. But when he meets single mom, Kylie Sloan, he’s enthralled by her, and begins to question his standard operating procedure. After all, there’s no chase, no mystery when banging a woman in a nightclub bathroom. Kylie’s depth and determination make the sloppy, drunken hookups that fill his weekends seem empty and shallow. She’s the opposite of the desperate, clingy women he’s used to. She doesn’t want or need anyone to take care of her and that only makes him want to care for her more.

Kylie’s trust in men has vanished. The last guy she was with played ding-dong-ditch-it with her uterus and left her with a baby to raise. Now her infant son is the only man she has time for, even if she misses sex and intimacy more than she’d ever admit. Opening her heart up to a younger man who’s best known for no-strings-attached sex and his casual lifestyle is probably the worst idea she’s ever had. But Pace wants to prove to her there are still a few good guys left, and watching the sweet way he interacts with her baby makes her want to try…but she can really trust that his days of hitting it and quitting it are in his past?

Filthy Beautiful Lust is the third book in the Filthy Beautiful Lies series, however it can be read as a standalone novel (no cliffhanger). To understand the full growth and development of the characters, it is recommended that you begin with book 1, Filthy Beautiful Lies.

Colin rose, walked over to Amelia and grasped her by the elbow to lead her to the looking glass. “You do not properly see yourself, Amelia,” he said staring at her.

She furrowed her brow. “I see perfectly fine and what I see is tall, gangly and graceless.

He wanted to run the pad of his thumb over her skin and remove the lines of worry. Instead, he took a deep breath and continued. “The color of the gown does not make you beautiful nor in truth the opulence of the material. It is correct both can enhance beauty, but unless beauty is there it cannot be revealed.” He gripped her shoulders and turned her until she faced the looking glass. ”You already possess beauty. It’s here.” He brushed his finger down the silken skin near her shining eyes. “Real joy comes from your eyes. I also see beauty here.” He ran a finger perilously close to her full lips. “When you smile it’s genuine.” The tremor that coursed through her made him want to spin her around, tilt her head back and claim her delectable mouth for a kiss that would make her forget who the devil Worthington was. The problem was the kiss might make him forget who the devil he was.

Appalled at the desire she inspired in him, he forced himself under control, inch by painful inch, until the detachment that had always been a part of his life when it came to women descended over him like a fog blanketing the countryside. He forced his fingers to release her arms and break the contact that made him feel tethered to this woman who was supposed to mean nothing to him. Yet words that needed to be spoken still burned his throat. “Never forget that a dress cannot make you beautiful, because you are already heartbreakingly so.”
