From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby comes Chapel Bend, an enemies to lovers, small town romance in her beloved series, Huckleberry Bay!
There’s a fine line between love and hate.
In Huckleberry Bay, Oregon, everyone knows that when it comes to Juniper “June” Snow – what you see is what you get. When you hire her construction company to do a job, it’s done right, on time, and on budget. When she’s your friend, she’s a ride-or-die who will support you no matter what. And when you’re her enemy…well, she can hold a grudge.
And she’s never forgotten how the tall, dark, and delicious Apollo Winchester hurt her so many years ago.
In a small town, it’s impossible to ignore someone who greets you with a death glare every time you meet. Apollo can’t recall why June hates him, but it doesn’t stop him from stirring her up every chance he gets. There’s something about her stubborn, “don’t mess with me” attitude that keeps him coming back for more. But June is his sister’s best friend and permanently on the “off-limits” list.
June puts aside her war with Apollo and hires him to work on her most important project, the renovation of a chapel into her dream home. She wants the best…and Apollo is the best . . . on the job site and in her bed. He won’t turn down the chance to spend more time with June, especially when it’s clear that she wants him as much as she hates him. Proximity leads to opportunity, and opportunity leads to steamy times between the sheets.
But a mystery threatens June and Apollo will protect her and their growing connection, no matter the cost.

There are those authors whose books and series you love so much that you never want them to end. Kristen Proby is one of those authors for me. Every time I read one of her books, no matter the series, I’m excited to hang out in really special places with characters that have become like friends, because Kristen writes friend groups and families really really well, and the fine folks of Huckleberry Bay, Oregon, are no exception.
I have had a special affinity for Juniper Snow since the very beginning. She’s strong and sassy and takes no nonsense from anyone, especially not Apollo Winchester, her nemesis from waaay back. But, what’s this? Why is it suddenly so difficult to dislike Apollo? And why isn’t he the same jerky guy that she remembers? The plot thickens…
Kristen does a lovely job of telling June’s and Apollo’s story, making Huckleberry Bay even more beloved, and a place that I want to spend more time. Thankfully, we will get more, with CHERRY LANE, Zeke’s and Cherry’s book, which is headed our way very, very soon. So if you haven’t visited this beautiful little town, now’s the time to jump in and fall in love. ❤️

A grumpy vs sunshine, age-gap, romantic suspense set in the Scottish Highlands.
Beyond the Thistles by Samantha Young is now live!
It’s been a long time since Walker Ironside left behind Scotland and the memories that haunt him. Yet after years of traveling the world as a bodyguard, Walker misses his homeland enough to return. To a village in the Scottish Highlands that plays host to an exclusive members-only club, Ardnoch Estate. If not happy, Walker is content working with the elite security at the club and maintaining his bachelor lifestyle. What he doesn’t need is distraction in the form of the enticing but too-young newcomer, single mother Sloane Harrow.
Sloane never imagined she’d get pregnant at sixteen. Or that a decade later she’d escape from California with her daughter, Callie, to start over in the Scottish Highlands. Hidden and safe from Callie’s dangerous father, Sloane is satisfied with their new lives. Her daughter is happy. Sloane has a stable job, a quaint cottage, a passion for baking that might just be turning into a business, and a huge crush on brooding security guard Walker Ironside. Unfortunately, the grumpy Scot seems immune to Sloane’s charm, but she can’t help but try to seduce him with cupcakes and baked treats whenever the opportunity arises.
However, when someone arrives in Ardnoch intent on destroying Sloane’s life, Walker is the first to step forward to protect her and Callie. Even if it means giving into temptation and awakening his own demons. Because in doing so, Walker faces failing not only to shield Sloane from her past, but to safeguard her against his own.

I’ve always enjoyed Samantha Young’s books, but it’s been a minute since I’ve read one of them. When I saw the synopsis for BEYOND THE THISTLES, the first book in Samantha’s new The Highlands series, I was hooked. Romantic suspense is my jam, and when you add in the Scottish highlands and one of Sam’s amazing couples in the making, well, I was all in.
I’m not going to lie, Walker Ironside made the story for me. A man that is all about protecting those that he cares about, especially with that dark and dangerous vibe going on, is just my type. His commitment to Sloane and Callie, to his friends, to his job, make Walker just the perfect romantic hero for me.
I love Sloane’s backbone, and how strong she has been historically. Having a backstory like hers would break many a person, so the fact that she has risen above and done such an awesome job of creating such a loving found family environment for Callie is quite the feat. Her refusal to back down in the face of danger and loss shows her true strength of character.
And while I have not read the Adair Family series, having met several of them here, I can’t wait to go back and see more highland love unfolding, and also to see more of what’s in store for all of the new folks. You don’t want to miss these heartfelt stories with just the right amount of intrigue and danger. Dive in, you’ll love them! ❤️

Cauldrons Call, by New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby, is the highly-anticipated second book in The Curse of the Blood Moon series. Breena has known Giles all her life—and has loved him for nearly as long. Linked by the ties of family and coven, Breena has had a lifetime to discover everything there is to know about him. His intelligence and specialization in crystals and gems are truly things to admire, but it’s how he smiles at her that really makes her cauldron bubble. Too bad he’s completely oblivious. Giles isn’t as oblivious as Breena thinks he is. A powerful witch, he’s spent most of his life hiding his true feelings from her, but he can’t ignore the fact that she’s hurting and plagued by the same nightmares that haunt him every night. So, getting her to move in with him so he can do just that seems like simple common sense. The hard part will be resisting the way Breena makes him feel. But evil has invaded their world, and it has the power to kill every witch in Salem. Breena has no time to wallow in what might have been and Giles’ desire to protect her is stronger than the power contained in his crystals . Together they must lift the curse of the blood moon before time runs out. If they can’t, the people Breena loves the most are all in danger. It will take every skill she’s honed as a witch to protect what’s hers and the man who cast a spell on her heart. Will they have time to kindle their love for each other, or will the clock run out at the hands of fate?

For those of you unfamiliar with Kristen Proby’s paranormal romances, I am here to tell you that it is time to come aboard! And if you’ve visited Kristen’s characters in haunted New Orleans, then you know that she can write creepy and intriguing with the best of them. CAULDRONS CALL, the second book in The Curse of Hallow’s End series, keeps the thrills, chills, and love coming, and is a perfect continuation of this series in all the best ways.
I love witchy reads, and Kristen, so was already invested in this series from the beginning. All of this, along with engaging characters, the whisper of time travel, and the ongoing storyline make for a book that I did not want to put down, and which has me super-excited for SALEM’S SONG, Lorelei’s and Xander’s story, and the wrap-up to the series. Time and space had done nothing to change his feelings for MaeBe.

“Whatever you did before doesn’t matter. We made our deal, and I know neither of us has seen anyone since.” “No. I didn’t want anyone else. I don’t think I ever will.” “Oh, I intend to make sure you won’t ever again. This is it for me, MaeBe Vaughn. You’re my endgame. Always.”
I think that it’s safe to say that THE DOM WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD is the book that I have been waiting for for a verrrry long time. Author Lexi Blake has made the relationship between Kyle Hawthorne and MaeBe Vaughn the slowest of slow burns, and, finally, here we are.
I’m going to be honest. Back in my early days of reading and reviewing, did I think that I would be in love with a world like this one? Heck, no. But then came Ian Taggart and all of his big, crazy family, by blood and by choice, and there was no looking back.
I am completely spoiled by Lexi’s writing in this, the Masters and Mercenaries world, and every other that she’s created. Being deeply invested in the characters, I have been waiting to see these two get their HEA, and, oh, my gosh, did Lexi bring it. Kyle and MaeBe are not perfect, but it’s their quirks, and the ability they have to love each other because, not in spite, of them, that make them really perfect for each other. And, really, with the entirety of the McKay and Taggart families and everyone that they’ve brought in, there was no way that this story wouldn’t end exactly the way that I hoped.
There’s all of the requisite suspense here, and, of course, all of the steam (hello, Sanctum), resulting in a book that I could not put down, and that was all that I’d hoped it would be. Easily one of my favorites in this world (and that’s saying something), THE DOM WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD is a must read for Lexi’s fans both seasoned and new. Grab it, read it, love it. You can thank me later. ❤️
EXCERPT:
“Do you think he’s going to kill you? I know the man seems scary but he’s not. The key with Big Tag is to give as good as you get. Like fight his sarcasm with sarcasm. When he asks how my broom ride in was, I smile and ask him if he rode in on the back of a brontosaurus from his age. I know that sounds harsh, but it made him laugh, and now we’re cool. I spent the first couple of weeks terrified by him, thinking he was this big bully, but he’s actually the sweetest guy.”
The words had been said with a slightly husky feminine tone, and when he turned, sure enough there was a woman. A young woman who looked like she’d walked off the pages of a goth comic book. She was petite, a good foot shorter than him, with two purple pig tails, and she liked black. She had on a black miniskirt with sparkly suspenders over a black button-up. Dark green leggings and combat boots completed the look.
She was absolutely nothing like the two types of women he’d been surrounded by the last decade of his life. Military women who kept things neat and clean and practical, or the sophisticated crowd he’d run in when he’d been a spy. Women who were polished and thought out every single word they said and action made.
The first he would have nodded and made some simple conversation with. The second he would spend some time figuring out to ensure they weren’t here to spy on him.
He had absolutely no idea what to do with the woman in front of him. “Uh, I don’t think he’s going to kill me.”
She was weirdly fascinating. And just plain weird. She had a messenger bag over her shoulder, and the wide strap was decorated with a bunch of buttons, one which proclaimed her the Mistress of Code. She seemed to like code and the color green since she had a big button with the words I Always Play Green and some weird figure on it. “Confident. I like it. Are you a client or a new hire?” She gasped as she seemed to think of something. “Or a new vendor? Because if you are trying to sell the big guy anything that’s not a lemon tart, he might kill you. We should rethink this.”
It was her smile that did it. A small uptick of lips that let him know she was fucking with him and probably fucked with every guy in her life. Not in a “I’m looking to screw you over, take your secrets, and then probably murder you on the way out the door” way he’d gotten used to. In the “I don’t take life too seriously” way. Like the women he’d been friends with in college. The ones he’d been comfortable with in another lifetime. In the life he’d had before he’d so brutally destroyed everything around him.
He should walk away from this woman. He was toxic, and his world for so long had been blood and secrets and death. She wouldn’t even know how to walk in his world. She also wasn’t his type. The last thing he needed was even a casual flirtation.
“I’m the new guy.” He held out a hand. “Name’s Kyle Hawthorne. I’m starting in the bodyguard unit today.”
She was completely harmless. It wouldn’t hurt to talk to the cute goth chick while he was here. He wouldn’t be here forever. He was giving this two months tops. That should be enough time to satisfy his family and the higher-ups at the CIA that he wasn’t going to do something dangerous. And then he would go do something dangerous.
She reached out, that smile turning into something truly glorious. Her black-tinged lips spread and showed even white teeth, but it was the way that smile lit up her eyes that made him pause. “MaeBe.”
Oh, she was playing with fire because for the first time in months he felt his groin tighten as he took her hand in his and felt an actual fucking spark that probably wasn’t static electricity. He couldn’t help the way his own lips curled up, and the words that flowed out of his mouth could have come from his twenty-year-old self. “Maybe? I would say that’s a little presumptuous of you, but I think I’ll go with it.”

New York Times bestselling sensation Kylie Scott’s sexy, smart and unconventional opposites-attract love story looks at what happens when fate refuses to give up on what’s meant to be…
When Susie Bowen inherits a charming fixer-upper from her aunt, she’s excited to start living her best HGTV life. But beggars can’t be choosers, and the sooner the repairs are done, the sooner she can get back to embracing singledom.
Things go from awkward to unbelievable when Lars discovers a divorce certificate hidden in a wall and dated ten years in the future—with both their names on it. It couldn’t possibly be real…could it? As Susie and Lars work to unravel the document’s origins, the impossibility of a spark between them suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched. But would a relationship between them be doomed before it’s even begun?

One of my favorite things as a reader is to jump into a book with only a synopsis and knowledge that you’ve really enjoyed the author’s books in the past. I went into END OF STORY by Kylie Scott, having read only a couple of her books, and none of them the ones that are most often mentioned. I am a big fan of friends to lovers, especially those with a twist, and knew that I like Kylie’s style, so in I went. I was absolutely delighted with this story, with Susie and Lars and the whole sort of mystery behind their romance, and so glad that I had the opportunity to read this book.
Kylie has infused Susie, Lars, and really all of the characters, with wit as well as self-knowledge and sensitivity, and their interactions left me smiling and invested in seeing where their journey took them through all of the twists and turns. END OF STORY is a quick read, not because it’s short, but because I didn’t want to stop until I saw how everything turned out for everyone, and I could not put it down.
END OF STORY is a solid 4.5 stars for me, and one of my favorite contemporary romance reads of 2023. I wouldn’t mind at all if we got stories for more of the characters in this world. As a note, END OF STORY is completely different from any of Kylie’s books that I’ve read (or listened to!) in the past. If contemporary romance with characters that you’d want to hang out with are your thing, this one should definitely be on your TBR. Grab it and enjoy! ❤️

I have millions of followers on social media, and it has absolutely nothing to do with my last name. It’s because I’m good at what I do. I work hard, and it has paid off. I’m not a trainer who only talks the talk, either. I walk the walk—or rather, I run the run. It was actually during one of those jogs through the park that I ran into him.
Of course, at the time, I didn’t realize it was the Isaiah “Ike” Harrison, Seattle’s hot new quarterback. All I knew was that I was suddenly pinned under some solid, sexy body, unable to breathe.
But even now, I keep running into Ike in the most unexpected places. And he’s doing everything in his power to convince me that he’s not just a player—in any form of the word. It’s so much more than that. But I’ve been there, done that. I have the mended broken heart to prove it and have no intention of doing it again. Except the frustrating man is convincing, and my walls are quickly lowering—especially when I feel responsible for possibly upending his career.
Is letting him in a mistake? Or will it be the best thing I’ve ever done?

The Montgomerys are back, and I am loving it. THE SCORE, the third book in Kristen Proby’s Single in Seattle series, is full of everything that I love about this big, boisterous, talented family, and it was a true pleasure to read.
Kristen Proby continues to write these characters so beautifully, and they are clearly very much a part of her. Sophie Montgomery is completely relatable, and if all pro athletes were like Ike Harrison, we’d all be very very lucky. These two and their story are probably my favorite in the series so far, and that’s saying something. Seeing them deal with some of the hard things in life only makes them more real, and that they do it together and so supportively of each other made for a truly heartwarming read.
Catching up with the Montgomery clan at large is one of the best things about these books, and seeing all of the kids grown or almost grown is a hoot. I’m hoping that there are many more books coming our way, because these characters and their lives just never get old. Here’s to family, especially the Montgomerys. May we know them for a long time to come. ❤️

“Why’s it feel so good with you? Why’s it feel so right?” “Maybe because we’re right where we belong, right now, in this moment.”
Oh, my heart. A.L. Jackson has gone and done it again, given us a book that is heartbreaking and beautiful, crushing and uplifting, and, as always, just perfect. PROMISE ME ALWAYS, Milo’s and Tessa’s story, is finally here, and it is totally worth the wait
A longtime fan of Amy’s books, I have read and loved all of them. The Redemption Hills series are some of her best, because her writing only gets better and more powerful with time. And while Trent and Eden, Jud and Salem, and Logan and Amber, have all found a place in my heart, it was Tessa that I was waiting for, and Amy has absolutely delivered with this book
Tessa McDaniels is the cement of the friend group, the cheerleader, the one that has watched all of her people find their happy endings. Never one to dwell on her own troubles, she’s the light in the middle of the dark, especially for Milo Hendricks. A man filled with dark secrets himself, Milo is always watching, looking to protect those that can’t protect themselves, and Tessa is that beacon of light that he finds himself gravitating towards.
PROMISE ME ALWAYS captivated me from the first page, swept up in Tessa’s and Milo’s story and unable to put it down until the end. The angst is real in this book, making me ache for this unexpected but perfect pairing, and hold on for their passion-filled and finally redemptive journey.
The Redemption Hills books are recommendations that I continually make to other romance readers. Amy has knocked it out of the proverbial park with PROMISE ME ALWAYS, making it the perfect wrap up for this amazing series. Although each of the books can be read as standalones, they are best enjoyed as a whole, so make the time to visit Redemption Hills, and enjoy. ❤️

The Scramble, an all-new heroine scrooge meets hero Mr. Christmas, opposites attract romance from New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby, is out now!
There are two things you need to know about me. 1: I’m never late. And 2: I hate Christmas. Yes, I’m a girl who hates the holidays.
My entire, enormous family is already enjoying their holiday vacation in Iceland, but thanks to my busy job and having to meet them there, I’m late. They could have chosen any holiday to fly across the world, but Christmas won, which sent me scrambling because the end of the year is my busiest time. It’s difficult to carve out moments to see the family at all.
So, now, I’m forty thousand feet in the air, trying to get to Iceland before Christmas morning, all while also attempting to get some work done. If only the hot guy next to me would leave me be.
Dylan says I should put the work away until after my holiday and relax a bit. And while his suggestion of spending some time together on the north Atlantic island seems preposterous, I can’t help but feel intrigued when he promises to show me how to enjoy the Yuletide season properly.
After all, I can’t possibly spend every minute with my family.
But how do I just shrug off my duty to my job and throw caution to the wind for a stranger…no matter how handsome he is? Because that’s something else about me: I never throw caution to the wind—even a beautiful, blustery Icelandic wind.
“Okay, this is going to be the craziest story I’ve ever told you, and you can’t tell the cousins.”
She blinks at me in surprise. “All right. Give it to me.”
“I didn’t know him until I got on that airplane. And then we fucked in the bathroom.”
She just keeps blinking. “On the airplane?”
“Yes.”
I chew my bottom lip, waiting for her response.
“I know people talk about it all the time but is that even possible? I mean, they’re so small.”
“You don’t need much room.” I smile to myself, hearing Dylan’s words echoing in my head.
“Oh, I like that smile.” She sits up, crosses her legs, and then hugs the pillow to her chest. “I like it a lot. That’s a satisfied smile.”
“Yeah, well, it was fun.”
“Did you just say fun?”
“If you say a word about me not being fun, I’ll come over there and break your nose.”
“You always were violent. I’d say you got it from Dad, but despite being a former SEAL, he might be the gentlest human alive. Okay, so, there were airplane shenanigans.”
“Yes.”
“What else?”
“He just flirted with me, practically the whole flight. And he’s nice. Which is weird.”
“I know they seem to be fewer and fewer these days, but there are nice guys out there.”
“Yeah, well, we seem to be related to ninety percent of them. Anyway, I don’t know much about Dylan other than what he does for a living and that the sex is beyond anything I’ve ever had before.”
“Honey, as a woman well into her thirties, it’s about damn time. I’m glad we talked you into staying the week. Now, you can hang out with Dylan more. Have a vacation fling. If that’s all it is, it’s still time well spent.”
“Huh. I never considered a vacation fling.”
Tracey’s Review
One of my favorite things about the Montgomery family is that it’s so big! This gives me hope that Kristen Proby has many more stories to tell about some of my all-time best-loved characters, because every adventure with them is literally one for the books. Case in point, THE SCRAMBLE, the latest novella in Kristen’s Single in Seattle series.
Like all of the Montgomery women, Maddie is strong, savvy, and committed to her king-sized family, the last of which has her on a flight to Iceland to spend Christmas with them. The last thing that she’s expecting is to meet a man, especially one that will have her stepping outside of her comfort zone in so many ways.
Dylan is a great match for Maddie, getting her to try new things, to make time to enjoy life, and to reevaluate the life that she’s living. Best of all, though, he truly likes Maddie for who she is, and is key in her being able to come out of the shell that she’s developed over the years. As a couple, they are supportive, sweet, and definitely steamy.
Insta-love doesn’t always do it for me, but it just works in Maddie’s and Dylan’s case. And while THE SCRAMBLE takes place at Christmastime, it is the perfect little taste of sugar and spice for anytime, and a great next link in the Montgomery chain that will leave you happy and ready for more. ❤️
About Kristen Proby:
Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.
Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.
