Excerpt Reveal: Rebel Heir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward – Book 1

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush Series Duet. Book Two, Rebel Heart, will release six weeks later on May, 22, 2018.

“All done.” I found Gia in the yard sunbathing. Of course, she had to be lying on her stomach so I could get a closer look at her ass. It was fucking phenomenal. Like a chubby, upside-down heart from where I stood. I’d spent the last hour pretend fixing her car and picturing her riding me reverse cowgirl, those ass cheeks jiggling like fucking Jell-O while she rode me hard. I had to force my eyes to her face and clear my throat to continue. “Here are your keys. Your rotors were shot, too. In the future, don’t ride on bad brakes. It just turns a little problem into a big one.”

She shielded her eyes from the sun and twisted her neck to look up at me, still not flipping over to her stomach. “Oh. Okay. Thanks. Can I make you some lunch? It’s the least I can do to repay you for hours of working on my car.”

Is that ass on the menu?

“No. I have to get going.”

She lifted from flat on her stomach to on her knees in a yoga-like pose, taking her sweet ass time before turning over.

“Are you sure?” She bit her bottom lip. “You’ve had to have worked up an appetite.”

Is she fucking with me? I had an appetite alright. “I gotta run.”

I sounded like a broken record, yet here I still stood. My head wanted to get the fuck out of that yard, but my traitorous feet wouldn’t move. Not even when she stood up, turned around and practically rubbed her ass against me as she held up suntan lotion. “Could you rub some sunscreen on my back before you go? I don’t want to burn.”

No. “Sure.”

“Thanks.”

I took the sunscreen and squeezed a glob of creamy white lotion into the palm of my hand. Swallowing hard, I began to rub it into her back. Her shoulders were warm and soft with the tiniest little layer of fuzz on it. It reminded me of a peach. My mouth salivated at the thought of biting into her.

“Could you do a little lower?”

My breathing became labored and my cock swelled as I lowered my hands and rubbed into the middle of her back. I was breaching into dangerous territory.

“Lower” she said. I knew from her breathy voice that I wasn’t the only one aroused.

I lowered to just above her bathing suit bottom and rubbed lotion all over.

When I finished, she turned her head so I could see the side of her face and closed her eyes to whisper, “lower.”

Fuck me.

I couldn’t stop myself. I reached for the creamy sunscreen and squeezed enough into my hand to cover a large person’s full body and then began to rub it into her ass cheeks. She had the most unique heart-shaped mole on her left side that was perfectly symmetrical. I ran my fingertips over it. When I trailed a pool of lotion to the top of her ass crack, and slowly rubbed it in tracing the material of her bathing suit in between her cheeks, she let out a low moan.

More. Make more sounds like that.

My father was abducted by aliens.

Or so I believed for the last eighteen years.

After my mother’s death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos.

Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he’s a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert.

I need a tinfoil hat for my heart.

Do I believe in aliens? I’m not sure.

What do I believe? I’m not going to fall in love with Boone. Definitely not . . .

Release Blitz and 5 Star Review: The Consequence of Rejection by Rachel Van Dyken –

Title: The Consequence of Rejection
A Standalone Consequence Novel
Author: Rachel Van Dyken
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: March 26, 2018

Blurb

You know the
universe is trying to tell you something when you get struck by lightning, but
only after getting hit on by the elderly, almost getting run over by a semi,
and running into the one who got away.
Why do they say it like that anyway?
Like I accidentally lost her when she was the one that got in the car with my
best friend and left me.
The day after I proposed.
We were eighteen.
I wanted forever.
She didn’t.
It’s been ten years.
I tried to move on, tried to get married, had that same wedding crashed by my
now best friend who says the only way for me to stop pissing off the universe,
is to gain closure with the one woman I can’t forget.
So I do it.
I embark on a journey down memory lane that not only lands me in prison but on
the receiving end of a fist fight in front of the entire town, this naturally
happens after drunken pool sex, climbing the same girl’s window, and getting
threatened at gunpoint by her father.
To say the universe is trying to tell me something anything, is a giant
understatement.
I just hope I survive the message.
And then, I hope I survive her—again.

Full breasts spilled over into a small black bikini that
left nothing to the imagination, it barely covered nipple for that matter, and
the bottoms? Well she had to keep adjusting them lets just say high school
bathing suits ten years later look small.
In the best way possible.
Head held high she walked right by me to Max, grabbed a
shot, took it, then sucked the lime he held out in front of her.
I growled.
Max winked at me. “Something wrong, man?”
I reached for the non existent gun at my side, which just
made him grin harder as he kept handing out alcohol to parents of
toddlers.
Because thats the type of party it was.
Almost everyone started talking about their kids,
retirement, stock portfolios, vacation time, and babies.
It was almost too depressing for words.
I had all those things but what I’d always wanted. A family.
Babies.
Maddy.
She shared a sideway’s glance with me.
I reached for her, but she pulled away and ran full speed
towards the pool and did a giant canon ball.
People cheered.
While I watched as wet cold water ran down her curvy body,
my gaze was so tranfixed on her erect nipples I’m surprised nobody pulled me
aside about my current situation of arousal.
Cold water. Fast.
I chased after her, jumped in.
And felt the warm buzz of alcohol fill my veins just as I
popped up and saw Max follow, balls first, in my face.
I ducked just in time so I didn’t get a fist full of
balls.
The guy only laughed once we both popped up.
I swam towards Maddy, and tugged her against me. “Stop
running.”
“I’m not.” Her breath came out raspy. “I’m just…reliving old
times, isn’t that what you wanted? So we could have closure?”
Why did it feel like she was turning the tables on me.
“Yeah,” I said slowly, “But—“
Her kiss was swift.
Hard.
Fast, and oh so very punishing as I gaped into her mouth and
pinned her against he side of the pool.
Music filled the air out of nowhere from somewhere outside,
it pounded into my ears the way I wanted to pound into her.
I grinned against her mouth as she wrapped her legs around
my waist.
And then Reid cast a shadow over us and started pouring
vodka over our heads.
Maddy tilted her head back and opened her mouth while I
leaned in and licked it off her chin.
People cheered.
“Guys!” Someone yelled. “Keep it down, someones going to
call the cops!”
“Cops?” Max laughed loudly. “I am the law, bitches!” The
music blared. “Plus, we already got our cop here.” He pointed while I took
another shot.
People cheered.
And then Maddy squeezed her thighs.
Yeah the cops were coming alright.
Michel’s Review
The gang is back from Rachel Van Dyken’s Consequence series and Max is determined that Jason is going to get his happily ever after even if it kills him.  This time around instead of a Bridezilla, two black eyes from ping pong balls, and a severe allergic reaction, Jason has to face his past. The one that got away. The one that severed his heart. The one who has returned home after ten years and is trying to make amends. Should he let the past stay in the past or should he take some of Max’s illicit advise. Either way it could be dangerous to his heart and hopefully not to his physical being.
I have been waiting for Jason’s book to release.  This poor guy has been put through the ringer and survived.  His well intended friends and family have tormented this poor guy. He needs a break and for someone to kiss all of his booboos.
Rachel Van Dyken brought Jason full circle without it hurting him too much.  I thoroughly enjoyed Jason’s journey to happily ever after. I needed the giggles that came along with this romantic comedy.

Michel’s Review

Jewel E. Ann has done it again with her latest release, Transcend. Transcend is part one of the Transcend Duet and is unlike any other book Jewel E. Ann has written and is quite different from other books in the romance marketplace.

As a writer Jewel E. Ann has become a favorite among the romance genre readers because of her ability to blend emotional subject matter that can make any soul ache with a balance of witty humor that lets the reader know that no matter what happens her characters will be okay.  She touches upon many facets of life with it’s ups and downs, glorious imperfections, and challenging obstacles which takes her characters on an emotional journey and makes them stronger before the ending is near. Readers don’t have to wait for the happy ever after at the end, they get to experience it along the way.

Transcend is quite different from other Jewel E. Ann books. For one thing there is an unusual kind of love triangle. The typical love triangle leaves the heroine in a dilemma of choosing one man over the other. This love triangle is three very separate individuals who find themselves in a very unique kind of situation. Two of the individuals are on the course of happily ever after where they are meant to be when life throws them a curveball that most people would not know how to deal with. The “curveball” is the other man and he is definitely not trying to come between these two lovers. In fact he would rather not venture outside his safe emotional box but there is a little girl depending on him, a girl from the past reaching out for him, and a nanny who seems to know how to handle it all.

I was drawn into Transcend the moment I started reading the first chapter. I quickly became immersed in the story and fell hopelessly in love with both men in very different ways. I tried to figure out where this story was going but there are so many different kinds of theories to come into play and I know Jewel E. Ann is going to surprise us all. When I finished Transcend I had to look up the release date for Epoch- Part Two of Transcend Duet. Readers can relax, Jewel is not going to torment them with a long wait. Epoch will release April 9, 2018, exactly two weeks after Transcend releases.

I highly recommend reading Transcend by Jewel E. Ann!

About Jewel E. Ann

JewelEAnn.jpeg

Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.

With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.

After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.

When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.

Release Blitz and Review : Switch Hitter by Sara Ney… A Jock Hard Novella

I knew something was wrong the second she walked in the door tonight; I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was.

Same hair color.

Same legs.

Same face.

Except…I look harder.

At the small dimple beneath her lip that wasn’t there the last time we went out. And her laugh—that laugh isn’t as loud.

This isn’t the girl I’ve gone out with the past few weeks.

It’s her twin sister, and they’ve switched places on me.

Only I’m not quite ready to let them switch back.

Michel’s Review

Switch Hitter by Sara Ney is the introduction novella for the Jock Hard series coming soon.  The novella gives readers a taste of the hot commodities of dating college jocks.  Sara Ney has mastered the new adult sports romance sub genre.  She has given the readers an entertaining view in the world of college life.

Unlike her Douchebag series, Switch Hitter has a stand up guy who wants a solid, committed relationship.  He’s not interested in adding notches in his bat.  The only problem is the woman he wants as his isn’t exactly what he thought she was.  She has her own secrets and her own agenda which doesn’t include becoming his girlfriend.

Sara Ney nailed it and has me wanting more of this new series.  I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Sara Ney is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the How to Date a Douchebag series, and is best known for her sexy, laugh-out-loud New Adult romances. Among her favorite vices, she includes: iced latte’s, historical architecture and well-placed sarcasm. She lives colorfully, collects vintage books, art, loves flea markets, and fancies herself British.

She lives with her husband, children, and her ridiculously large dog.

Studly Period

The Ivy Years Series

By Sarina Bowen

****

Synopsis

She’s a brilliant writing tutor. Too bad she’s tongue-tied every time he sits down in front of her…

There are 1016 people in the freshman class at Harkness College. I can’t be the only socially awkward nerd girl virgin among them. Right?

It’s time I learn to talk to guys without blushing and stammering. So I take a confidence-building job at the student tutoring center. Twelve bucks an hour, plus human interaction. What could go wrong?

A fun-loving French Canadian hockey hunk, that’s what.

When Pepe St. George sits down at my tutoring table, my brain shuts off and my mouth goes right into hyperdrive. Even the sound of my name on his lips—Josephine—gives me a mini orgasm.

I want to hand him my V-card. But all I manage to hand him is…my thesaurus. And my dignity. All seems lost, until I hatch a plan to get him alone…

Excerpt

“Bonjour.” The deep voice—from right above me—startles me so badly that I jump. My phone goes clattering to the desktop as I whip my chin upward to see whomever snuck up on me.

Désolé!” he says. “I should come back later?”

“No,” I say, fumbling my phone back into my bag. “Please sit down.”

My heart is banging against my ribs, and not only because he startled me. If possible, I’m even more awkward with men than with women. It’s worse if they’re attractive.

And this guy? Very attractive. Wow. He has a wide, handsome face and coal-dark eyes ringed by impressively thick lashes, and a broad face. Broad shoulders.

Broad everything. Wow. He must eat a lot of protein. And now I’m staring as he arranges himself in the chair opposite me and draws out a folder. He’s really handsome. One of the BPs, for sure.

I can’t stop staring. There’s something rugged about him that’s hard to describe. There’s color in his cheeks—at least the part that’s not covered with dark scruff. And his biceps bulge from the sleeves of his T-shirt. He reminds me of a superhero going incognito, concealing his identity among the ordinary college students.

Though the muscles can probably be explained by the logo on his T-shirt—Harkness Hockey.

It’s always the jocks who need tutoring. I swear. Nadia I have a disagreement about this. She says that jocks are used to coaching, and thus accept tutoring help more readily than the general population.

“I think they’re just not as smart,” I always tell her.

She just shakes her head. “You say that, but you’re still intimidated by them. So which is it?”

Indeed.

“How can I help you,” I whisper up at this handsome giant.

He frowns, and then folds massive hands onto the desk between us. “Excusez-moi?”

People always tell me my voice is soft. That I’m hard to hear. He must agree, because he leans forward, those big, dark eyes blinking in close proximity. It doesn’t help the knee-knocking, teeth-rattling nerves that overtake me whenever a beautiful man looks at me.

Get a grip, Josie. “How can I help you today,” I ask carefully.

Bon. I have the paper due for English. And my English is not so excellent. So I hope you will help me find all the places I fuck it up. I bring it…” He opens a folder and rifles through some papers.

For a long moment I just blink at him. “Your English…” Did he just say that he didn’t speak the language?

“When I come to Harkness last year? I don’t speak much English at all,” he says, dropping a rough draft of an essay on the table between us. “Please help me find zhe places where I fuck up the grammar.”

His honesty has stunned me. The Harkness students I’ve met so far would never admit to any kind of weakness. In fact, they tell me that most students wait until their grades are in jeopardy to find the tutoring center at all.

And I don’t blame them. Struggling? That’s shameful. Harkness is a top-notch school where everyone worships at the alter of intellectual exceptionalism. With an admissions rate that hovered around nine percent, having a big brain is the only way to get in.

Or at least I thought it was. Every year, something like a thousand valedictorians get rejections from Harkness. Who would dream of implying that he isn’t as qualified as the next student?

This guy.
