❤️ Happy Tuesday, everyone! This is an amazing release week, so let’s get to it. Congrats to our amazing authors, and to my fellow book lovers, happy reading! ❤️
She wanted the parents who didn’t divorce when she was a kid and make her life a living nightmare. She wanted the sisters who actually liked her. She wanted to live in a town where everyone loved her and didn’t have a single bad thing to say about her.
That was not the life Birdee was given.
She had the exact opposite life. The kind of life where she slunk through the grocery store with a hoodie on so no one would recognize her. The kind of life where men like Creed Daugherty didn’t give her a second look.
After years of abuse and heartache, she built walls. Big, huge, thick ones that no one could ever breach. If she didn’t put forth the effort to get to know someone, she couldn’t be hurt.
At least, that was the theory.
She never counted on Creed Daugherty hitting her with his truck. Then, deciding that once he entered her life, he would never leave it.
Though Birdee should’ve known that Creed was too good to be true.
All it takes is one mistake on her part, and Creed freezes her out. Then forces the rest of the town to make it almost impossible for her to live in Sawtooth, Montana, anymore.
Birdee only thought it couldn’t get worse.
But Creed makes sure to show her that it can and will.
The thing about rock bottom?
Once you’re there, you have nothing else to lose.
And Creed Daugherty just made himself enemy number one.

She was enraptured by the man they called Romeo the moment that he turned those butterscotch-colored eyes her way.
What wasn’t to love about a big, burly, plaid-wearing lumberjack?
He was tall, gorgeous, and knew how to wield a chainsaw better than Leatherface. He could fell a tree in seconds, had thighs that were as thick as said trees, filled out a pair of Wranglers better than any cowboy ever, and didn’t care that she could operate heavy machinery better than him.
He was everything a girl like Mable could ask for.
The caveat? He was a convicted felon that’d just escaped from prison, faked his death, and ran from his home in Texas to the mountains of Montana.
At first, Mable didn’t know what kind of man he’d been before coming to her small, mountain town. He led Mable into a false sense of security, made her fall madly, deeply, and irrevocably in love with him, and then shocked her by sharing his darkest secret.
Now, she’s left reeling, thinking life couldn’t get more complicated.
Until she finds out her stepmother knows Romeo’s secret and plans to exploit him. To make matters worse, Romeo goes on the run to protect Mable from himself, and she realizes that she has a dark side, too. One that’ll stop at nothing, not even murder, to make sure that he can live free.

Finnian “Apollo” Reins met Dru Noel Rossi at his lowest.
She was a bright ray of sunshine in his darkest, cloudiest night.
He had no clue that he needed her. He was just struggling to keep his head above water, going from day to day, waiting for it to be his time to go.
But then she catches his eye in the swankiest restaurant in Washington DC. She’s wearing all black and sticks out like a sore thumb among the elitists’ otherwise dressiest affairs. She may have been severely underdressed, but that didn’t stop Finnian from following her every move and becoming obsessed.
So of course, when she leaves, he follows her. And wouldn’t you know it, she goes right back to his hometown.
But that’s not the first coincidence between the otherwise complete opposites. It’s just a long line of chance encounters that force them together, time and time again, and show them what they’re missing.
She’s the sweetest thing he’s ever met, and understandably, is hesitant to get anywhere near a Truth Teller like him.
The Truth Tellers MC got their hard, terrifying reputations for a reason.
But Finnian wears her down with his charm, while showing her what it’s like to be with someone that won’t hesitate to take out the entire world as long as it makes her smile.
He has to have her in his life, and he’ll do just about anything to make that happen. A little light stalking, financial blackmail and forced proximity never hurt anybody.

She turned him down and left to build a career and a future that didn’t include him. Derek had no idea that it wasn’t purely Milly’s decision to decline but rather the influence of a meddling relative.
Now thirty-eight, Derek is a successful hotelier, divorced and parenting two teenagers. His father is retiring soon and has asked Derek to take over the family business. He has a lot going on and to add to it Milly has moved back into town, more distractingly beautiful, shy and delicate than ever–and with a teenage daughter of her own in tow. Milly is close friends with Derek’s sister so he can’t avoid running into her–but he is determined to ice her out.
That is until their daughters meet at school and become inseparable. Derek has to deal with seeing Milly every week, sometimes daily. The more he’s around her the more he realises that deep down she’s still the same girl he fell for all those years ago, and he begins to suspect that there was more to her rejecting his proposal than he’d always believed.

Having really enjoyed the Quiet Love books, I was so excited when L.H. Cosway extended that world with the Balfe Family series. Filled with longing, passion, and angst, I know that these books will break my heart a bit, but leave me happy in the end.
I love a good second-chance romance, and L.H. Cosway works her usual magic with these characters and their story. Derek and Milly lose so much time because of trying to please others and a lack of communication, because of Milly trying to take the ‘prudent’ route. While I enjoyed their journey to each other when they were young, seeing them as adults, knowing themselves better, and being able to communicate and make changes that lead them back to each other is the real joy. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them as parents themselves, and all of the family interactions. I am looking very forward to seeing what’s in store for the rest of the Balfes.
Meet L.H. Cosway
L.H. Cosway lives in Ireland. Her inspiration to write comes from music. Her favourite things in life include writing stories, food, and of course, books. She thinks that imperfect people are the most interesting kind. They tell the best stories.
Posy “Doc” Hicks has high blood pressure. All thanks to a certain hazel-eyed blonde who drives him absolutely insane in her short shorts and cowboy boots.
At first, Searcy Hodges is just a passing fancy.
A look but don’t touch kind of girl.
She has a bad attitude, an even worse bedside manner, and a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas.
It would be wise to stay away, even if that attitude of hers really does great things for him.
But how is a man supposed to stay away when her temper is just that spectacular to experience?
He’s literally watched Searcy make one of her customers cry and not care.
She’s the poster child for ‘don’t do this if you want to stay in business.’
Yet, everyone keeps coming back.
And she keeps shelling out the attitude.
He’s a grown man. He shouldn’t get as much enjoyment out of watching the woman struggle.
He should be figuring out his own life, not wanting to dig into hers.
But the moment she breaks down in his arms and asks him for help, setting aside the attitude and exposing her vulnerability, he finds it impossible to say no.
He’s a Truth Teller. A biker with a hero complex. A paramedic and a former SEAL.
It’s literally ingrained in his psyche to help, and it’s painfully obvious that Searcy could use everything he has to give.
And while he’s solving her problems, he’ll make her his along the way.

From New York Times bestselling author Lexi Blake, discover The Park Avenue Promise Series…
Three young women make a pact in high school—
to always be friends and to one day make it big in Manhattan
Built to Last
Harper Ross has always dreamed of working on one of the magnificent brownstones of Park Avenue. Now one of her closest friends has bought the house of her dreams and hired Harper to do the construction work. She wants to showcase the renovation on a television show for her brand-new production company. It’s the same grand home she and her friends promised themselves they would be able to afford one day. Working on it isn’t the same as living in it, but it’s all a part of Harper’s grand plan to grow her father’s construction business into one of the biggest in the city. The only obstacle—the designer on the project.
Reid Dorsey believes in the balance between beauty and functionality. As one of Manhattan’s new voices in design, he’s excited to get to work on a true Gilded Age property. If only the owner had selected a contractor he enjoyed working with. Oh, Harper was brilliant and her work was excellent, but she has an opinion on everything—and it’s usually the opposite of his.
Over the course of the job, these enemies start to see different sides of each other, and suddenly their fights don’t seem so bad. But when the project is threatened, they might have to choose between their jobs and the beautifully designed future they could share.

I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books in the Park Avenue Promise series by author Lexi Blake, but BUILT TO LAST, the third and final book, has found a special place in my heart. Reid’s and Harper’s story is chef’s kiss, a favorite from start to finish.
Harper is one of those characters that I immediately liked and wanted to know more about as each of the three books unfolded. Strong and sure of herself, Harper knows immediately that Reid Dorsey is not her cup of tea…or is he?
Witty banter, steamy chemistry, and such an amazing found family makes BUILT TO LAST both a fun and an emotional read. Lexi has written another cast of characters that make you want to jump in and hang out with them, and a plot that demonstrates, as she so often does, that having others to lift us up and have our backs is everything.
This can be read as a standalone, but, truly, make the time to start with START US UP (Book 1) and meet the whole gang. You will be so glad that you did!
