Burned is a sinfully sexy novella that will have you fanning yourself. The chemistry between Rosie and Hunter is scorching.

It had been five miserable years since Hunter left Rosie. She was head over heels in love with him and cried every night for six months after he left. But time goes on and supposedly heals all wounds. That is, until Hunter just happens to show back up in town just as Rosie is getting dumped. Great timing. Not only that but Hunter is now Rosie’s boss. He bought out the gym that she works at. As the two of them are thrown into close quarters sparks begin to fly and the sexual tension becomes so strong that neither one of them can stand it. If they act on their desires will it be a one time fling or do they have something real that can last forever?

I really enjoyed this novella. Sarah does a great job with character development and you cant help but fall in love with Hunter and Rosie. They both have history that they never shared with one another. I enjoyed seeing them find each other again for the first time. I am looking forward to reading more novels from Sarah Morgan.

Holy Hotness! Caite Fox is a strong and sexy alpha female unlike any I have ever seen.

This was my first Domina story and I loved it!

Caite Fox is good at what she does and when her supervisor becomes ill during her third trimester it is time for Caite to step up to the plate. The only thing stopping her from getting a home run is the big boss Jamison Wolfe. He is constantly yelling at everyone in the office and on the phone. He stays stressed out and assumes that his staff is truly unable to live up to his expectations.

Caite has had enough of Jamison’s crap. He makes a snarky comment about Caite’s work ethic and she lets him have it. Caite decides its time to cross the line and get Jamison to let go of his anger, stress, and anxiety. She does not want to lose her job but she knows its a matter of time before Jamison lets her go anyway so she takes a chance. She orders Jamison to give her pleasure and he does with getting nothing in return. When Caite truly takes control and Jamison is put into an awkward situation will he run from her or stick it out?

This story was smoking hot. It was awesome to watch Caite dominate Jamison. In the beginning it was very subtle and then got more and more obvious. This was my first Megan Hart read and I really enjoyed it. Caite is an amazing heroine and Jamison is an amazing lover and companion.

I really enjoyed this Cosmo Red-Hot Reads by Harlequin. It is a great way to read new authors and get a taste for their writing style without committing to a full novel. I enjoyed both these novellas and am looking forward to reading more books from Sara Morgan and Megan Hart.

Tracey’s Review

When I had the chance to read ‘Tempting the Ringmaster,’ I was not sure what to think. The idea of a contemporary romance about a circus ringmaster, well, it was intriguing. But would it work? Would it draw me in, or just be too darned outlandish to appeal to the average reader (me)?

Aleah Barley has done a great job with this book. The characters are engaging and unique, and the story was just different enough to really hook me. I was totally invested in the circus troupe, and the citizens of Buck Falls were great. From the beginning, the chemistry between Belle and Graham was sizzling, and, even though they couldn’t have been more different from each other, the possibility of them falling for each other was completely believable. After all, all Belle has ever wanted is a man that will love her for herself, not looking down on her because she is with the circus. And to Graham, having had to prove himself as a solid dependable guy just as worthy of respect as his brother, Belle is like a breath of fresh air, an exotic arrival in his otherwise ‘normal’ life.

There is a bit of insta-love that takes place, given the short time frame of the events, but it didn’t take away from the story. I found myself thoroughly engrossed in seeing how things would unfold for Graham, Belle, and the rest of the Black Shadow Circus crew, and the twist of intrigue that was presented made the read even more interesting. A very satisfying 4-stars, and I look forward to more books by Aleah Barley.

I truly adored this story. Melody Anne wrangled me in from the very start. She writes characters full of spunk and charm that just melt your heartstrings. Hidden Treasure is a beautifully sassy and fun love story that will have you laughing one moment and you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what is going to happen next.

Poor Brielle drew the short stick. She tried to live without her father’s money and fell flat on her rear. Her father had decided to teach her and her brothers a lesson and cut off their inheritance and gave them the pick of five failing businesses to run. Well Brielle was having none of that so she walked out and managed to survive for a year without Daddy’s help until the place where she was working got shut down. She was so broke by the time she contacted her Dad all she had was enough money for bus fare. Since she walked out when the business opportunities were passed out all she got to chose from was what was left. What was left was a dilapidated Montana Ranch. Lets just say that stilettos and manure don’t mix really well.

The first bit of trouble that Brielle runs into is a solid hunk of man named Colt Westbrook. Talk about holy hotness. Colt is in the running for 2014 book boyfriend status. He is a man’s man with the abs and arms that let you know that the man knows how to put in a hard days work. Colt was really disappointed when Richard Storm swooped in and bought that property for one of his kids to fix up and when he meets Brielle he thinks he has her figured out and starts counting the days until she gives up and just sells him her ranch. The one thing Colt did not know is that you can never underestimate the Storms. Brielle may have been a pampered and spoiled brat but she will do anything it takes to make her father proud and to prove to everyone that she is more than what she appears to be.

I loved the push and pull between Colt and Brielle. He was hooked on her like a fish to a pole. She lit a fire inside of him that drove him crazy. The only problem is that Brielle begins to trust Colt and let him in a little bit like no one before. She automatically assumed when she ran into Colt that he worked for her. That is very far from the truth and Colt does not seem in any hurry to correct her assumption. The problem is what will she do when she finds out her trusted ranch hand is actually her very wealthy neighbor.

I am very excited and looking forward to the next book in this series. It is so nice to see the Anderson and Storm elders meddling again in the lives of their kids. A job well done Melody Anne. I loved it.

“I hate it here!” she shrieked, feeling like a fool but not caring. She hadn’t been at the ranch for five minutes and already her world was crumbling. “Spiders, cobwebs, rocks, dirt, grime, and who knows what else! Lions and tigers and bears…”

Her angry tears soon stopped, but Brielle was still in a foul mood as she sat there trying to breathe normally. After a few moments, she pulled herself together. Wasn’t she better than this? When she heard the crunch of footsteps behind her, she grimaced, not wanting to deal with anyone or anything else right then.

4.5 Stars. Sweet Thing, the first novel published by Renee Carlino, rightfully earned a spot on my list of favorite novels for 2013. I found the main characters to be refreshing and connected with them instantly, which made Sweet Thing an extremely satisfying read. I appreciate the opportunity to review an advanced reader copy of the new contemporary romance from Renee Carlino, Nowhere but Here, which has been provided to me by her publisher through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Kate Corbin no longer has any living relatives. She has struggled since the death of Rose, a childhood friend of her mother who ended up raising her. Her mother passed away when she was eight without telling her the name of her father. She is currently going nowhere in a relationship with Stephen, who doesn’t seem to love her or even care about what is going on in her life. Kate has turned to a homeless man who calls himself “Just Bob” for advice, whose first piece of advice to her was, “You’re all you’ve got!”

Kate has lost all motivation for her career as a journalist and has struggled with her job for several months. Her boss at the Chicago Crier newspaper, Jerry, gives her an assignment with substance, hoping to ignite her spark. She is to spend a week in Napa, California, to interview and write an article about R.J. Lawson, the reclusive owner of a vineyard. This interview has been highly sought after by journalists, yet none could obtain it until now. R.J. It is a story of self-discovery – about realizing how much you really do have as an individual, making the best of your own situation, and finding your own place in this world. In this novel, Renee Carlino focuses on gratitude and healing, the concept of discovering who your family really is, and learning to believe in the power of love. It is full of underlying lessons which made this love story even more special for me. It is obvious that Renee Carlino completed some extensive research before writing this novel – research which assisted in making this a unique, creative and interesting story. If you are looking for a beautifully written contemporary romance, I recommend Nowhere but Here!

Insipid by Christine Brae

But if you could look closely into her expressive green eyes, you would realize Jade is hiding the truth of her reality deep inside.

As a reviewer, I have chosen not to reveal much of the plot due to the way the layers of the story unfold. Instead, I choose to share my thoughts and feelings about Insipid. Christine Brae immediately pulled me into the story. In many ways, I was able to make a connection to the protagonist. I am around the same age as Jade Richmond and have had a successful career at the same company for nearly 25 years. I have been married for over 20 years, and my children are now adults. There have been moments during my life where I have felt I was just going through the motions. I think everyone experiences these types of feelings on occasions, so it was easy for me to step into the pages of the novel and place myself into Jade’s situation.

It is hard to explain the overwhelming feelings that came over me while reading Insipid. I experienced so many different emotions, crying tears of sadness and joy on occasions. There were moments that I felt anger and shock. I was delighted at times, confused at times. But with the confusion came clarity. Although the circumstances surrounding my life helped me connect with the story and protagonist, I also believe this author has strength in the ability to tell a story. Insipid truly has one of the most beautiful endings that I have ever read. I was so impressed with the way that Christine Brae brought closure to Jade Richmond’s story.

Insipid seems to be a combination of the contemporary romance and women’s fiction genres. It does not follow what I consider to be the typical pattern for a romance novel, so you will want to keep this in mind if you choose to read this novel. It is a very unique story, full of wisdom and takeaways. It is also very apparent to me that Christine Brae poured her heart into this novel. Because this story is so different, I realize that it may not be for everyone, but I want people to know that I absolutely enjoyed it! I am giving Christine Brae’s Insipid 5 stars!

Cailin is a Jameson through and through. She is feisty and dominant. But she is the last of her family without a mate. She found a potential in Logan, but fights the pull she feels towards him with everything she has.

Logan is waiting not so patiently for Cailin to give in to their potential bond. But when tragedy strikes she comes to him looking for comfort and finds so much more.

This book is a great addition to the Redwood Pack series. It includes all of our favorite characters from books past and wraps up everything nicely. The writing was on par with all of the other books. The cast of characters had a depth and connection akin to real life families. There was humor and sex in nice amounts. The action was exciting and interesting. Fans of the Redwood Pack will rejoice in the conclusion of the big battle that has been developing throughout the series.

But don’t be too sad, there is another book to follow about our beloved Omega.

The Saint is the fifth novel of The Original Sinners series written by author Tiffany Reisz. The Saint is also the first novel of The White Yearsportion of the series, following the previously published novels of The Red Years: The Siren, The Angel, The Prince and The Mistress.The Red Years revolve around more recent events for Nora Sutherlin, including her career as an author of erotica novels and the most notorious Dominatrix of The Underground. The White Yearswill take readers back to a time prior to the events of The Siren. We are given a glimpse of Nora Sutherlin from the ages 15 through 20 in The Saint, when she was known as Eleanor Schreiber.

Eleanor Schreiber is already jaded and hurting at age 15, feeling unwanted by both of her parents. Eleanor lives with her mother in Wakefield, Connecticut. Her mother has always wanted to become a nun, and Nora feels responsible for her not being able to realize her dream. Her father owns a chop shop and is involved in criminal dealings, so Nora is rarely allowed to spend time with him. Although Eleanor is enrolled in a Catholic school, she doubts the existence of God. In The Saint, readers will learn more about Kingsley’s son, Nico. Nora narrates the events of the novel to Nico in a series of flashbacks to explain her relationship with Soren and Kingsley. Be prepared to be held captive by a mystery while reading this novel! Tiffany Reisz will have you guessing at what could possibly be happening from the beginning to the very end.

The Saint is now my overwhelming favorite novel of The Original Sinners series! Tiffany Reisz has done a wonderful job of capturing the personality of a teenage Nora Sutherlin. I absolutely enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Soren and Eleanor. It was very obvious that Soren and Eleanor both felt a connection from the moment they met. Soren knew what she would one day become to him – the perfect woman and submissive. If you have not started this series, I highly recommend it! Tiffany Reisz has developed such interesting characters and weaves a fantastic story throughout the entire series. Five outstanding stars for The Saint!

Five Ways To Fall is the final book in one of my favorite book series, Ten Tiny Breaths by K. A. Tucker. This series has kept me captivated. I have been deeply invested with the cast of characters, their stories, and their lives. They have become dear to my heart. It is sad that this series is ending. But it is going out with a bang. Five Ways To Fall is the best book in the series and leaves the reader very satisfied with the ending.

Five Ways To Fall is Ben’s story. Ben has been one of those characters that has been steadfast, light hearted, dedicated, and flat out fun throughout the series. He is the sexy bouncer at the strip club that is a fun loving player. Although he lives his life in an uncomplicated and carefree manner , he is far from being a slouch. He has been in law school and has now graduated. It’s time for him to move on and play in the grown up world.

K. A. Tucker has created the perfect heroine for Ben. Reece is a rebellious hellion. She is feisty, rebellious, spiteful, and sarcastic. She has extreme trust issues, relationship issues which include her family & friends, and has a very colorful past. She has been hurt and she is on a mission to get revenge. On the surface she seems like your worst nightmare. But beneath it all she is smart, witty, sensitive, fun loving, and desperately needing love. Ben is just the man to help her with her mission and show her that everything she’s hiding below the surface is just as sexy as all the in your face rebellion is .

What Ben doesn’t realize is that she is just what he needs too. She is his perfect partner in every sense of the word.

This book will have you laughing, crying, and celebrating. It is a heartwarming romance and all around superb read.

I highly recommend Five Ways To Fall by K. A. Tucker.

Five Ways To Fall can be read as a stand alone romance or in series order. I recommend reading the series. It is full of charismatic characters that will stay in your heart long after the books have been closed.

In this fourth episode of the ‘Deep Surrendering’ series by Chelsea Cameron, Marisol and Fin are back, and they’re still as hot and crazy as ever.

The feelings between Marisol and Fin have continued to grow. Now that they’ve been able to really get to know and accept each other for who they are, they are doing their best to have an actual relationship. There are still secrets in Fin’s past, but as he and Marisol grow more deeply involved, those things are revealed, things that make Fin the person that he is today.

I am really enjoying this series. The storyline flows nicely from one serial installment to the next, and it’s very easy to keep up. As well, I feel more and more attached to Marisol and Fin, and invested in their story. Fin is still all sorts of messed up, despite Marisol’s love and support. Even with all that he has materially, he has not had an easy time of things in his life, and my heart goes out to him. Watching him fight to break down the walls that he’s built to protect himself, with Marisol’s help, makes me hopeful that they’ll finally get their happily ever after. Not that it’s going to be easy to get there, because it wouldn’t be an a angsty romance without some trials along the way. Add to the romance and angst some super-hot sexy times, and I cannot wait until Episode 5 comes out so that we can see what’s in store for these two.

“He’ll um, be right down. Please take a seat,” she said, gesturing to the leather chairs. “May I get you anything, Miss Everly?” Oh, now that she knew who I was, she was going to be nice to me? That didn’t make me feel very good.

“No, thank you,” I said, my voice cool as I went to take a seat and wait for Fin. I patted myself on the back for deciding that showing up wearing just a trench coat and nothing else was a bad idea. The receptionist would have seen right through that and probably would have thrown me out before I could even ask for Fin.

I heard him coming down the hall before I saw him.

“Marisol? What are you doing here?” He was bewildered and concerned and shocked. I’d kind of hoped for excited.

My eyes flicked to the girl at the desk, who was pretending to be immersed in her work but was clearly eavesdropping.

“I came to see you and ask if you’ll have dinner with me tonight.”
