Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige
Publication Date: March 27th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

From NYT Bestselling author Laurelin Paige, discover a whole new world filled with sex, love, power, romance and dirty, filthy rich men.

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn’t know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me.

I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn’t stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted—I knew who I wanted—until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.

And then what it was like to lose it.

Ten years later, I’ve found my way back. Back to their world. Back to him.

This time, I’m ready. I’ve been down this road before, and I know all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck me.

But it’s hard to resist. Especially when I know how much I’ll like it.

Excerpt:

After she was gone, I walked over to the windows and drank in the scene. The Town Center was high enough that it had an unblocked view of downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond.

Giddiness surged through me, starting like a pinprick at my center and moving out through my veins in all directions until even my fingers and toes felt warm.

I was really here.

I made it.

It wasn’t the way I thought it would be, but in the end, it still came out of my time at Harvard. I’d always known that connections made the difference in a career, and here I was. Finally. At the top of the world, looking out.

I couldn’t stop grinning.

“It’s incredible, isn’t it?” a male voice came from behind me.

Still smiling, I glanced up and caught his reflection in the window.

And everything disappeared.

The world that had buzzed below, the beautiful scene, the excitement that had unfurled through my body—all of it evaporated and all that existed in its place was a pale, hollow shell of myself and the man in the perfectly tailored suit behind me.

I turned to look at him directly. Our gazes smashed together, and my legs nearly fell out from under me.

“Donovan,” I rasped. It was a miracle that I managed to find enough voice to say that much.

And there was so much more that had to be said. So much more that I hadn’t prepared for. Which was ridiculous since I’d talked to him so many times in my head over the years, practiced so many conversations, but never did he show up out of the blue looking so dastardly handsome in a dark gray three-piece suit, his face rugged with scruff, his eyes hazel and earnest despite the playful smirk on his lips.

I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I wasn’t even sure how to breathe anymore.

He broke our gaze to nod out the window at the skyline, walking toward me as he said, “I’m sure you found the Empire.”

Though his focus was now on the scenery, I didn’t take my eyes off him as he approached. He didn’t stop until he was right beside me. So close our shoulders would touch if I coughed. Tension ran off him like foam spilling over from a mug of beer. Good tension. Bad tension. I wasn’t sure if there was a difference when it came to Donovan.

Which was why I was screwed if he was here.

Why the hell was he here?

“I thought you were in Tokyo.” I couldn’t stop staring at him. He’d gotten more refined with age, and rougher at the same time. His hair was short and his curls gone, giving him a polished look he lacked before. The lines by his eyes were more defined and his expression seemed harder than I’d remembered. It made him sexier.

As if he was a man who needed to be sexier than the one I knew.

“I came back two months ago,” he said offhandedly. “That’s it right there.” He leaned his face in close to mine as he pointed to the famous structure. “Do you see it?”

Fuck if I cared about the Empire. I was in Donovan Kincaid’s orbit. What else was there in the world?

USA Today and New York Times Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She’s also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn’t do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.

Tracey’s Review

I’ve got grocery lists, Christmas lists, to-do lists, even honey-do lists — minus the honey. I’m the queen of list making. It helps me keep some semblance or order in my life. Those of you with kids and a job and countless after-school activities know what I’m talking about. So why not a sex bucket list?

I will admit going in that the main thing that called to me about THE SEX BUCKET LIST by author Prescott Lane was the notion of a romance about a woman that was actually close to my age. Don’t get me wrong, I love the books about young love, the NA reads, all of it, but it’s rare to find a book about a woman of a certain age, and I was interested to see what Prescott would do with it.

I can honestly say that THE SEX BUCKET LIST was all that I hoped for, and more. Now, don’t be fooled by the title. Yes, Emerson, a divorced woman in her 40’s with three kids, did write said bucket list during a girls’ night out. But this list is about more than just a way to try new things and spice up her life. Emerson’s bucket list becomes a way to find herself again, a way to appreciate herself just the way that she is, and to understand that others will, too.

Emerson has so much to offer, but her sense of womanhood has gotten buried beneath a failed marriage, the needs of her three children, and a successful career. Seeing her rediscover her sense of self as a desirable woman is priceless, because I believe that so many women go through the same thing. Prescott has really done a fine job of capturing what it feels like to look in the mirror and wonder who the woman looking back really is, and how in the world her needs got lost in the shuffle.

Emerson’s ex-husband, Ryan, and her new flame, Mateo, are just really poles apart. Emerson’s relationship with Ryan is a good one, at least on the surface. As her husband of many years and the father of her children, he and Emerson are at a place where they’re friendly and co-parenting successfully. I’m going to just say this: I did not like him at all. I felt like he was selfish and, while he’s a good father to their kids, his interactions with Emerson, along with her reminiscences about their marriage, make it pretty clear that he’s the biggest reason that she needs to find herself again.

Mateo, though, oh, my goodness. Where are all the Mateos in the real world? Straightforward, honest, and, phew, passionate, he’s all of these things. He happily, and without reservation, gives Emerson the help that she needs working her way through her list, and does it all simply because he cares about her and wants her to be happy and free. Talk about night and day. And, when the big issues come up, Mateo is all about Emerson and her happiness, while Ryan is still mainly invested in himself.

I’m a big fan of books heavy on relationships with friends and family, and Emerson’s got such a great bunch of both. Her kids, her mother, her brother, and her ladies, all give Emerson the support that she needs, and make it a happier, if sometimes crazier, ride.

Bottom line? THE SEX BUCKET LIST is an easy 4.5-stars for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this gem of a book, and look forward to reading more from Prescott in the future.

THE DEEP END - Tour teaser 1

Excerpt

She slid out of the booth with murmurings of “good night” and “have fun,” taking her stiletto-heeled-sandal-shod feet with the will of steel her mother had begun the process of instilling in her and her training as a Domme had completed.

She could not have her legs give out on her and she could not expose her nervous anticipation.

                  And she wouldn’t.

But, God, she had not felt like this in years. That sub she’d spied or she’d had who was so promising or such a transcendent experience to play with that she could barely control her own reactions to exploring that promise or again feeling the wholeness, togetherness, oneness with another.

She moved in his direction, no game playing. She didn’t even glance at Stellan in his booth.

Amélie didn’t participate in those games, not ever. There was no reason for her to be coy with a sub.

And she moved with the gait and bearing that it was solely her mother who’d ingrained in her in the sporadic times they’d had together, doing it with an unrelenting fervor that it would take the threat of death to force her to move any other way.

Chin up. Shoulders straight and slightly back. A sway of her hips so subtle, it was elusive. Long, confident strides.

                  Amélie could walk a catwalk.

She could also make a specimen she was approaching get so hard his cock was aching by the time she made it to him.

She hadn’t even gone halfway when he sensed her approach and she was gratified that his response was instantaneous.

He pushed from the wall. He turned fully to face her. And she felt his eyes drop not with the respect a sub owed a Domme, but to take her in from sandals to hair.

Then his gaze locked on hers and he didn’t look away.

                  He didn’t look away.

He watched her approach not like he was taking the risky liberty he was taking but like it was his God-given right.

                  Amélie felt her clit quiver.

She arrived at him, stopping several feet away, knowing that the minute her body language made it clear she was going in for the capture, most eyes in the room, if not all, were on her.

She did not care about this. Not that she’d ever care about this (which she wouldn’t), but because, now close to him, she found to her enchanted surprise, he was not big.

                  He was colossal.

                  A mighty beast.

                  A magnificent beast.

                  Exquisite.

He was not six foot five. He was six-six, more likely six-seven. A mountain of compacted muscle encased in a very fine, very expensive suit.

Taking him in, in proximity, she wanted him more than she’d already wanted him. She wanted no boundaries. She wanted everything. Her diverse skill set, experience, imagination, creativity, and if it came down to it, sheer determination and grit, she’d utilize it all to wring him dry in a way he’d contemplate murder in order to have the opportunity to come back for more.

She was on the verge of speaking when he did.

His direct gaze appreciative, and arrogant smile curving his full lips, he asked, “How you doin’ sweetheart?”

                  She froze.

Full eye contact. Speaking without being spoken to. Using an unconsented and unearned endearment.

The already damp gusset of her panties soaked to the point her wet crept up the silk of her front and back sides.

But her brows snapped together, her censure clear, and her lips ordered, “Follow me.”

THE DEEP END - Tour teaser 2

Michel’s Review

The new Honey Series is quite different than what avid Kristen Ashley fans have come to expect from her books.  This new series explores a completely different type of romance genre that Kristen Ashley usually writes, it leans more towards erotica romance.  It explores the world of BDSM and the Honey Club.  This takes a bit of a different approach, a hot alpha male in the role as a sub.  A man who has two distinct sides to his personality that normally would contradict each other.  So how can this possibly work in a romance.  Romance readers lean towards a dominant alpha male who takes charge at all times, especially in the bedroom.  Somehow Kristen Ashley pulled it off and made Oliver a swoon worthy hero in his own right.  As for his dominatrix, Mistress Amelie, she is a little harder to connect to.

Most of this story revolves around the sexual relationship between Oliver and Amelie.  The reader doesn’t get to experience much of their life and relationship outside of club.  In my mind, that is the true test of the strength of their commitment to one another.  I personally would of liked experiencing more of the dynamics of their lives outside of the club.

The Deep End was a bit more than an erotica romance.  There was a bit of mystery and intrigue that revolved around the club but it was not the focus of the story.  I think this is a book that each reader needs to judge for themselves.  It took me out of my comfort zone but overall was a good story.  Kristen Ashley made it work.

Kristin Ashley - headshotAbout Kristen Ashley:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

By Tijan

Buy: Amazon US / Amazon UK / B & N / IBooks Kobo

Synopsis:

I shouldn’t have remembered him.

He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn’t know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all.

But I could feel him.

The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.

The second time was different.

He was in the mysterious back elevator of my apartment building. Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed.

That was just the beginning.

He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him, and his name…

Cole Mauricio

Excerpt

Once inside the elevator, I stood to one side, watching him. He returned my gaze.

We still did not touch.

My chest tightened, hoping no one would call the elevator at that moment. We sailed past the lobby, the second floor, and stopped at mine. I put in the code, and the doors opened to my home.

I drew in a breath, filling my lungs again. God, it was time.

Stepping out with shaky knees, I bypassed the light switch. The full moon lit up my entire floor. I went to the kitchen and paused at the island. “Did you want something to drink?” I caught sight of the tequila and wine on the counter. There was more than enough.

Cole stepped up behind me and followed my gaze. “Were you going to have a party?” he asked, his breath coating the back of my neck.

I shivered, closing my eyes for one delicious moment. “I stocked up. I thought a friend was coming over tonight.”

His hand rested on my back, nudging my sweater aside to touch my skin. “He?”

“She. Sia.” I looked over my shoulder. He was so close. “She stood me up for a date.”

A faint smile showed. “I need to send her a thank-you card.”

“Please don’t sign it.”

“Why not?”

I turned around, easing my back against the island. Cole placed his hands on either side of me, trapping me in place.

“Because she’s slightly obsessed with you, though she’s in love with someone else now. She could circle back,” I joked.

“Me?”

“We saw you one night.”

“When?” He leaned away, but his hands remained on the counter. It was like he was giving me breathing space on purpose.

“At Gianni’s. We went there the night I moved in.”

He didn’t move, but I could feel him pulling away. A protest started in my head, but I bit back the words. He didn’t reply. He was waiting for me instead.

I continued, “You came in with a bunch of men and went upstairs. That was it.”

His eyes narrowed. “Did you talk to anyone?”

“What do you mean?”

“The staff?”

“About you?”

“About anything.”

My forehead wrinkled. “Sia networked with the hostess. They exchanged cards. Sia said the girl was a model. She recognized her from the Gala. That was it. Oh, well, another server sat with us for a drink later on. But they mostly talked with Sia about the Gala and about photographers—stuff like that.”

He relaxed, his hands loosening their hold on the counter. I was scared to ask what he was so worried they’d told us.

“I don’t know who you are.” I lifted a hand, placing it on his chest. His heart was racing, just like mine. My mouth parted in surprise. “If that’s what you’re worried about.”

He glanced down at my hand and held still. He was thinking something over. I held my tongue, worried it was me, that he was second-guessing this night for us. I wanted to tell him there was nothing to worry about, but it sounded ridiculous. I really had no idea. So I waited it out, my heart pressing against my rib cage.

When he looked back up, the hunger was in his eyes again—dark, primal, and more evident than ever. He took my hand and leaned in, closing the distance between us. With his other hand, he cupped the side of my face. “I wasn’t second-guessing this. I want you to know that.” His touch was tender.

“What were you thinking about?”

“Something else, but it wasn’t you.”

“This is one of those moments where you wish you could tell me, but you can’t? Not yet?”

The corner of his mouth lifted. His eyes moved from mine to my lips. “Something like that, yes.”

“Mmmm-hmmm,” I started to tease, but then his head dipped down, and his lips were on mine.

I gasped. The pleasure was immediate. His mouth was gentle, but as he felt my body’s reaction, he applied pressure. His touch grew more demanding, then I was kissing him back. I wanted more. Someone groaned. That was me.

His hand slid around to the back of my neck. He held me in his grip as his mouth explored mine, opening over me and slipping inside. My hands grasped his shoulders, just holding on. All I could focus on was his tongue. I met his with mine and reveled in the sensation. But it wasn’t enough. Need shot through my whole body.

My hands slid under his shirt and moved over his back and shoulders. His body was just as powerful as his presence. I felt the shift of his muscles. They trembled under my hands. The feeling was intoxicating. I had power over him, and I wanted more. I wanted to see how much power I actually had.

Pulling back, I studied him.

He was panting lightly. So was I.

I could see him wondering what I was going to do, so I reached back to the counter and started to lift myself. His hands caught the backs of my thighs, and he lifted me the rest of the way. Now sitting on the edge of the island, my legs parted, and he was back between them. His mouth went right to mine.

I couldn’t get over what I was doing. I didn’t care.

I didn’t think I would care the next day, the day after, or however long this lasted. I had no clue. I only knew I had one night. One long night.

Michel’s Review

For fans of Mafia romances, Cole by Tijan is the next read to put on your list.  It has everything the reader wants this type of book.  Intrigue, mystery, a bit of darkness, and sizzling hot chemistry between the characters.

For the past year Addison Bowman has been living in a world of grief after witnessing her husband Liam get run down by a drunk driver.  She has been unable to move on and get her life started again.  She’s going through the motions but not really living her life.  After a suggestion by her best friend to move out of the house she shared with her husband to a luxury apartment in the Maucurio Building.  This move is exactly what she needed to kickstart her life once again.  When she meets Cole Mauricio, the owner of the building, her life is about to change once again.

Cole Mauricurio is the only surviving member and head of the Mauricio family.  He’s highly guarded and protected by his men.  He keeps his secrets well hidden and guarded.  When he meets Addison, he didn’t expect the attraction to go beyond the physical sense.

As their relationship begins to become deeper, Cole’s secret and connection to Addison’s past could destroy it all.  He would do anything to protect her.  Even if it means losing her. Once Addison finds out the truth about his real identity and connections, she will have to choose what comes next in her life.  Is she willing to continue feeling alive or will she walk away from the new life she has started?

Tijan once again delivered an enthralling mafia romance that kept me on the edge of my seat.  The twist and turns lead the reader down a road of intrigue and the unexpected.  There was also a cameo appearance by Carter Reed that validates the direction of this story.  I loved the characters but felt like I needed more information about who Cole Mauricio really was.  I would of liked to have experienced more from his POV.  Overall it was a really good book and I would highly recommend it.

tijan bio I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

EXCERPT:
Crazy tall, with blond, perfectly styled hair and bright-blue eyes, Reardon Lewis was not a hard man to look at. In fact, sometimes I would catch sight of him and my body would react in a completely unexpected way.
Kind of like it is now…
I was aware of the heat coming off his body, his shoulders so large that they were barely a centimeter away from mine, as he slouched into the seat, probably trying to reach some level of comfort. His hands were palm down on his thighs, and were so very large that just looking at them seemed to cause something inside of me to start twitching.
Then there was his smell.
Good Lord on earth, it was heavenly.
I’d caught a whiff every now and then, but at this proximity the bright, clean smell of him seemed to wrap around me in a warm hug.
“Chloe?” he asked, and I snapped out of my scent-induced stupor, and realized he’d asked me something.
“I’m sorry, what?” I asked, hoping he didn’t suspect that I was having a physical reaction to his presence. I clenched my thighs together and started counting to twenty, hoping to make the tingle go away.
“I asked if this is the first time you’re seeing it.”
“Seeing what?” I asked dumbly.
“Star Wars,” he replied with a chuckle, then narrowed his eyes at me. “Are you okay?”

How do I know this, exactly? Well, not including the time I accidentally bleached my eyebrows or sprained my ankle changing a lightbulb…

I had sex with my best friend’s brother.

Zeke Elliott has been a thorn in my side for eleven years. A very sexy, very tempting, very freaking annoying one. With big…hands.

And now my clitoris has a crush on the guy.

Seriously. I can’t look at him without my vagina performing accidental kegels. Which would be fine, but he’s Cain’s brother. I hate him. He’s off limits, right?

Right.

I close my eyes and slip one leg out of the window.

Everybody can see my panties.

Not that anyone is here, but I just know everybody can.

This is horrible. And it hurts.

I’m never dating again.

I’m going to buy fifty cats. They’ll never make me climb out of a bathroom window.

“You’re looking at my underwear, aren’t you?” I ask, unfortunately pausing with my legs wide open.

“No.”

“Liar.”

“It’s nice underwear.”

“Oh god.” I swing my other leg down a little too quick.

My dress rides up.

Right over my ass.

And my feet can’t reach the crates.

Zeke chuckles.

“Help me, you pig!”

More laughter.

“I’m gonna be stuck here forever. Oh my god.”

The bathroom door opens.

Can this get any worse?

A fifty-something woman I don’t recognize freezes in the middle of the restroom.

I smile sweetly.

She eyes me suspiciously before shuffling into a cubicle.

“Get me down!” I hiss, kicking my legs. “Now, Ezekiel!”

Something scrapes and knocks together.

“Still so hot when you call me that. Especially when your ass is out.” Thud. “All right, sweetcheeks. I’ve got you.”

“Sweetcheeks? What is wrong with you?”

“Look, you can hang there all night bitchin’ at me if you want, but it’s not my bare ass in the middle of the alley. As much as I’m enjoying the view.”

“Oh my god,” I groan. “You swear you’ll catch me?”

“I swear.” His fingertips brush against my bare legs.

My shudder is disguised by the trembling of my arms as I lower myself down.

Zeke’s fingers trail up the outsides of my thighs until he grasps my waist. “Let go.”

I freeze, tensing up.

“Carly, let go. I have hold of you. I won’t drop you.”

Still tensed, I let go of the window ledge.

My life flashes before my eyes. Seriously. I see everything from my first memory to the moment I let go of the ledge and I squeal because I’m going to die and I know that he’s going to drop me and—

Zeke’s strong grip solidifies when he wraps his arm around my waist and holds me against him. “There,” he says calmly into my ear. “You dropped about six inches. You’re hardly cliff-diving.”

I open my eyes and look down at where his arm is pressed across my stomach. His grip is tight, and the popping veins on his forearm trace tantalizing lines across his skin.

And my dress is still around my hips.

I reach down and tug the material over my upper thighs. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” He releases me, and when he jumps down from the crates, I see a flash of his cocky grin. “Nice thong.”

That explains the grin.

I clear my throat. “Thank you. It took me an hour to pick.”

“From your drawer?”

“No. From Victoria Secret. Have you seen how many panties are on that website?”

Zeke holds his hands out for me to take. “Oh, yeah. I’m wearing a pair right now.”

My lips curve slowly as I step down onto the ground. “Interesting. What type? Brief? Thong? Boy short? V-string?”

He blinks at me when I put my shoes on. “Why do you need so many different types? It’d be much easier if you just wore none at all.”

CATCHING CARLY-teaser4

Tracey’s Review

Carly Porter has been besties with Brooke Barker and Cain Elliot for years. But, Zeke, Cain’s big brother? Not so much. More like frenemies, with the emphasis on enemies. Except for that one time, the time that Carly and Zeke, well, you know…

I was ready for CATCHING CARLY the minute that I finished BEING BROOKE. I fell in love with Brooke, Carly, and their crazy families from the small town of Barley Cross, GA, and wanted more ASAP. Well, thank you, Emma Hart, for feeding my addiction, and for doing so with such a sexy, lively, laugh-out-loud book. I couldn’t have pictured a more perfect story for Carly and Zeke, and I loved every single word.

Trying to keep the ‘hook-up that never happened’ firmly in the past and convince herself and everyone else that she can’t stand Zeke is a lot of work. Mostly because, whenever the two of them are in the same vicinity, it’s like spark central. Seriously, the chemistry between these two is in-your-face hot, and a lot obvious. And, I mean, really, why fight it? When you find someone that has your number the way that Zeke has Carly’s, it’s all over anyway. If they can weather the online dating hell, crazy senior citizen parties, and persistent exes, and still come out wanting to spend time together, it’s meant to be.

Emma’s sassy snarky dialogue and quirky and one-of-a-kind characters are on point here, as usual. If a book has me laughing so hard that family members come running to see what’s so funny, it’s a winner, and CATCHING CARLY had me laughing a lot. And, let’s not forget the steam factor. Emma’s got that down to a science, and she did not hold back. I think that I may have mentioned that the connection between Carly and Zeke is pretty combustible? Well, yeah, so keep that fan handy, because you’re going to need it…

As expected, CATCHING CARLY is 4.5 stars’ worth of love, laughter, and HEA that I would not hesitate to recommend to other readers. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Barley Cross and the people that live there from Emma, because these characters are just wonderful.

EXCERPT:

“Have you flown before, Kat?”

“No.” I swallow hard and tighten my hands into fists.

“Okay, take a deep breath,” he says. He’s not touching me, which is good because I’d have to break his nose, and this is already stressful enough. But his voice is soothing. “Good. Take another one. Miss, can we get a bottle of water, please?”

I just keep breathing. The flight attendant returns with a little baby bottle of water, which Mac uncaps and holds out for me.

“Take a drink of this. Just a small sip.” I comply, the cold water feeling good on my throat. I feel ridiculous. This flight is full of people who are not having panic attacks.

“I’m sorry,” I whisper. “This is my biggest fear.”

“I can tell,” he says gently, and I raise my gaze to meet his. He’s a handsome guy, his short hair styled nicely, his jaw firm, eyes direct. He’s tall, with long arms and legs and a lean body. “How are you feeling?

“Better,” I reply, surprised to find it true. “The water helped. Thank you.”

“No problem. Are you going to Napa Valley on vacation?”

“Work,” I reply, shaking my head. “I’m attending a conference.”

“So you’re a wine enthusiast then?”

“You could say that,” I reply with a smile. “I own a wine bar in Portland.”

His eyes narrow for just a moment. “Really? Which one?”

“The one inside Seduction.”
“I’ve heard great things about that place.”

I smile widely now, intensely proud of the restaurant that my four friends and I have built from the ground up. Seduction is our baby, our pride and joy.

“That’s nice to hear,” I reply. “You’ve never been?”

“Not yet, but I’ll make a point to go the next time I’m in the area.”

So he doesn’t live in Portland.

Bummer. Mac is one guy I wouldn’t mind running into again.

Tracey’s Review

What happens in Napa, stays in Napa…

Famous last words, right? Katrina Meyers, bartender extraordinaire and part-owner of Seduction, one of Portland’s hottest up-and-coming restaurants, hates flying. Loathes and is scared to death would be a more accurate description, but you get the picture. So, the travel gods must have been smiling on her when they placed her right next to Mac MacKenzie on that flight to Napa. Who would have believed that both Kat and Mac would both be headed to the same wine conference? Or that things would get so H.O.T. (did you hear the sizzle, guys?) between them that they couldn’t stay away from each other? And, as much as Kat and Mac agree to keep their time together a lovely respite from their real lives, well, you know how fickle Fate can be…

Kristen Proby’s FUSION series has quickly become one of my favorites. This group of ladies are strong, sassy, and in charge of their lives. Kat is absolutely wonderful, the kind of take-no-prisoners woman that I want to be when I grow up. Except for that pesky fear of flying thing, she’s living life on her terms, happily part of the FUSION family, and loving every minute of it. As far as Kat is concerned, her “sexcation” with Mac was a fun time, but she’s tucked that memory away, and is moving on with her life in Portland.

Mac doesn’t do relationships. Sure, he enjoys women, he just isn’t looking for the happily ever after. But, here’s the thing: Kat rocked Mac’s world, and he can’t get her out of his mind. So, when he has the chance to see her again, he’s not wasting any time. And, here’s another thing: love always happens when you least expect it, and it isn’t long before he realizes that Kat means more to him than he’d thought possible.

I love romances with something more mixed in, and Kristen has done a nice job of adding some intrigue and some very real-life issues to the storyline of BLUSH FOR ME. This, along with characters that I love more each time I see them, a funky restaurant that I’d love to visit, and plenty of heartfelt, steamy, passion made this an easy 4.5-star read for me. And, that lead-in, though! Kristen’s laid a trail of breadcrumbs that just scream, But, wait, there’s more!. I sense some serious sparks on the horizon between Riley and a certain t.v. exec in THE BEAUTY OF US, and I cannot wait to see what goes down. So don’t wait, guys, grab BLUSH FOR ME, and, if you haven’t read them, the first two books in this delicious series, because things are getting hot in Portland.

Co-Wrecker, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy is coming March 23rd!

cowrecker

Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn
Publication Date: March 23, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Photographer: Lauren Watson Perry

Synopsis:

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I’d make my coworker fall for me.

I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

5Star

Michel’s Review

It’s been almost two years since the last book in this series released. The release of Unwritten by Jen Frederick had me jumping with pure joy.  The Woodlands series is one of my all time favorite series.  I have become deeply connected with all the characters in this series and was anxiously waiting for Adam’s book to release.  It was obvious that Adam wasn’t ready to fall in love. After watching his roommates fall hard and find happiness, he finally sees what he is missing.  He’s ready for love and settle down with one woman.

For Adam, love came around at the same time his band got their big break.  They have been invited on a big concert tour that could open the door for bigger things.  Meeting “the girl” right before the tour is a complete bummer.  That girl being his bandmate’s younger sister is even worse.  To make matters even more difficult is the girl has a ton of baggage that is out of her control.  She has a dangerous stalker threatening her life.  What’s a guy to do with all of that at once?

Landry goes on tour with her brother and his band because her stalker is out of jail and threatening her once again.  She’s attracted to Adam but her brother has made it abundantly clear that his bandmates are off limits.  She doesn’t want to wreck their opportunity for bigger things by coming between the band members.

Adam and Landry were meant for one another. Nothing is going to stand in the way of their feelings.  They will just have to figure out how to deal with her brother, the band, the upcoming fame, and get rid of the stalker.  Their love is worth fighting for.

I absolutely loved this book.  Seeing the other side of Adam and his true personality was wonderful.  He is truly a great, sensitive man that knows how to treat a lady like she is the most precious thing in the world.  That in itself was quite surprising because of his manwhore reputation in the previous books.  Landry was a delightful, quirky, smart heroine that won my heart.  The members of the band were just as delightful.  Hopefully they will get their own books too.  Jen Frederick has once again written a fantastic book.
