That’s all it took to send my brother’s and my life into a tailspin with no end in sight. I was going to be something. I was going to be the best. I had the Olympics in my sights. And it all went to shit in one flash. Brayden wasn’t ready to raise a younger sister when I was thrown into his lap. He had his life and everything going for him. Thankfully, he was still drafted to his dream hockey team. The same one dad played for when we were growing up.
It took time, but I started to get better, started to open up, started skating and even dating again. I even thought I found the perfect guy for me.
Isn’t it funny how guys hit on you when they know you’re not available, but when you’re single they won’t give you the freaking time of day? I guess the game is more fun that way. And for the captain of my brother’s team, that’s exactly what I was. A hat trick is three goals in hockey. Some say three is a crowd and they might be right.
I was Gavin Hayes’ unobtainable goal.

I was young and naive. I thought I could save the world. I thought that protecting those around me from hurt and pain was what I was born to do. She made me feel that way. Ava Links, the little girl who was too fucking stubborn for her own good. The little girl who absorbed the hurt and pain of everyone around her and tried to bring sunshine to them all. The little girl who didn’t give a damn if people picked on her about wearing a crown and tutu every day. A little girl who somehow looked at me, expecting—no, damn near demanding—I protect her.
I saw the pain she hid, and as I grew older, I understood that pain. The pain of being so much to so many that there is really never a “you”.
I took control of my life…
I had to get away from everyone who pulled at me in order to claim myself. When I became the man I was destined to be, I began to live. Then, one drunken night, Ava Links, no longer a little girl, said the right damn thing to me, and everything changed. After seven years of fucking her while home on leave with no expectations, now my life is out of control…
One bad dream, one I love you, one night of pushing her the hell out of my life, one drummer stealing her heart, and one explosion took everything away.
Lies are told.
Lies are unraveling.
Lies are going to destroy.
These are my truths.

Outside, Sandman screams and chants as we hurry him down the pre-planned route. Trigger is on the phone, giving coordinates to the guys in the sky for evacuation as he and Killshot go back inside the building we were occupying to grab our equipment.
Again, Sandman puts up a fight, and I am forced to the ground with him.
A whistling buzz pierces my ears, followed by an earth shaking explosion.
The building has been hit!
The ringing in my ears is horrific. The pain I feel as brick and metal hit me is allowed for five, four, three, two, one, and now I dismiss it.
Sandman easily pushes away from the grip I have on him because, lucky for him, he was covered by my body. When I grab him, I quickly realize my shoulder is dislocated, but fuck if I let him go. Not when we spent years looking for him.
I hear Trigger yelling but, with the ringing in my ears, I have no idea what the hell he’s saying.
I look back at Sandman, who has a sick smile on his face. I push him to the ground and look back for my team.
Trigger is a mess. Blood is everywhere as he pushes parts of the building off of him. But I don’t see Killshot. I am caught in a moment of needing to help my men, yet not wanting to release my captive.
I look back at Sandman who knows the conundrum I am faced: His live capture or helping my men. What he doesn’t know is who I am.
Once upon a time, Luke Lane loved a little, stubborn, delusional girl, and that little girl was me. My fairytale happy ever after always included my black-haired, blue-eyed, knight in shining armor, and that knight was Luke Lane. Then I grew up and convinced myself that it wasn’t a fairytale after all. It was Fate.
I twisted Fate to make her story come to life, but Fate fought back, and now I am looking at a man I still love, but he doesn’t feel the same. I have to walk away. Not just for me, but for him. And not for the version of him who broke my heart, but for the version who was truly a knight in shining armor to the little girl I was, so many fairy tales ago.

Brilliant, quirky twenty-three-year-old China Mack is totally satisfied with her carefully ordered, data-driven life. A computer prodigy who landed a coveted programming job at the cutting-edge tech company Cysnet before even graduating from MIT, China is happiest when following her routine: shower before coffee, pizza only on Mondays, bedtime at ten thirty sharp.
But then things start to get a little…unpredictable.
First Jackson Cooper—Cysnet’s rich, gorgeous, genius CEO—assigns China to a dangerous and highly classified project for a government defense contractor. Her sixteen-year-old runaway niece suddenly arrives in town, begging to move in with China. And then there’s her sexy but oddly unsettling new neighbor, Clark…
Quickly the Cysnet assignment becomes disconcerting—and then downright scary—as key staffers turn up dead. China suspects she’s being followed and isn’t sure whom she can trust. For the first time ever, she’ll have to follow her instincts, rather than logic, if she’s going to survive.

Michel’s Review
Follow Me by Tiffany Snow is the first book in The Corrupted series. I have to say that this series has caught my attention and may end up being my favorite series by the incredible writer Tiffany Snow. That is saying a lot because I have loved everything I have read by Tiffany Snow and give her books high praising reviews. She is the queen of romantic suspense. She is the supreme goddess of creating love triangles that leave the readers in love with both men, wanting each one to win the girl. The one thing that stands out in the Corrupted series and sets it apart from Tiffany’s other series is the leading female character, China Mack. China Mack has become my favorite female character of all time. I love her brilliance, her analytic mind, her quirky tastes, her odd OCD moments, and her clueless sense of romance. She is a breath of fresh air in the fictional world. It’s no wonder that she has captured the attention of two very different dynamic men. What she does with that attention is entertaining, comical, and brilliant. I want to be China Mack!
China Mack is a certified genius. Cysnet snapped her up before she graduated from MIT. CEO of Cysnet, Jackson Cooper ( who is almost as brilliant ) has assigned China a top secret job ( not that all of her jobs were already top secret- nothing unusual) where she will be strictly working with him. They are working on a high security project for Wyndemere, a defense contractor for the government. The project is highly sensitive and bodies have already started dropping. Not only is this new project going to create disorder in China’s work routine, it is going to change her predictable ordered life. The only problem she has had in life is keeping her pet fish alive.
Working on the Wyndemere project with Jackson Cooper is not the only interruption in the carefully, quirky ordered life of China Mack. Her sixteen year old brilliant niece, Mia, has run away from home and come to live with China. She is a lot like China in her IQ and brilliance but where she differs is that she is a normal teenager who likes normal teenage things. This is something China cannot relate to. China also has problems with the typical teenage habits such as make up and clothes all over the place, spontaneous decisions, and rose colored romantic notions. Her home has been invaded by a mutant teenage alien known as her niece Mia. Her life size Iron Man figurine has to be moved from her office so her Mia can have a place to sleep. That just won’t work and has China in a tailspin.
The third disruption in China’s perfectly ordered life comes from the new sexy neighbor, who looks just like Superman, that moved in next door. To top it off… his name is Clark! Clark is expressing interest in China beyond friendship. Mia is playing matchmaker and trying to make China her very own Eliza Doolittle. China has no clue about romance or dating. It’s a disaster in the making.
China’s world is spinning out of control. Her job at Wydemere has become extremely dangerous. Her assigned team is disappearing. The body count is going up. Her boss Jackson is not who she thought he was. He may be conspiring with the enemy. The big question is who exactly is the enemy? Is it our government, other governments, terrorists, or who knows what else? One moment Jackson seems on the up and up. He has also expressed romantic interest in China and she wonders exactly what is up with that. That leads to Clark, he may be an enemy as well. He is not the human relations business man he presented himself to be.
Her world is out of control. Her life is in danger. Not only does she have to protect herself but also her niece Mia. Mia has become collateral in China’s world.
The only thing China can do is fight back using her brilliance. What’s next….CLIFFHANGER!
BRILLIANT START IN THE CORRUPTED HEARTS SERIES! Tiffany Snow has me hooked!

About Tiffany Snow
I love to stick with characters over a series of books when I read, which is the same way I write. My first series – THE KATHLEEN TURNER SERIES – includes five books, two companion novels, and features a love triangle. My new series, coming from Montlake Romance December 16, 2014, is the TANGLED IVY TRILOGY, beginning with IN HIS SHADOW.
As for me, I’ve been reading romance novels since I was way too young to read such things, have an unhealthy obsession for all things Doctor Who, prefer Pepsi to Coke and Absolut to both, think men who drink girly cocktails are wusses, have learned to never stop believing in my beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and can recite the entire scripts of When Harry Met Sally and Apollo 13. George Washington is cool, Bon Jovi still rocks the house, and Bruce Willis is the ultimate alpha-male hero. Most of all, romance never, ever gets old.
We are very excited to bring you the cover for a brand new standalone from New York Times Bestselling Author K. Bromberg. SWEET CHEEKS releases on November 14. Sweet Cheeks is a sexy, sweet, and lighthearted romance about true love and second chances, you will not want to miss!
An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the beloved Driven series.
It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.
I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.
With a plus one.
And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.
Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.
When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear of him. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.
But I didn’t.
And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled). She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out November 14th.
Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (2 books: The Player, The Catch) and the Everyday Heroes series (3 books: Cuffed, Combust, and Cockpit). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
Under siege. That’s how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can’t outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he’s been trying to keep at arm’s length is in danger…and he’ll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.
Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She’s making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There’s a lot Ryker isn’t telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn’t catch up to them first…
Full of twists and turns you won’t see coming, DEADLY SILENCE is New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti at her suspenseful best.
A Blood Brothers Novel
_____________________________________
Michel’s Review
Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti is the first book in the Blood Brothers series. It is a spin off of the Sin Brothers series with a different twist. The Blood Brothers are the secret project hidden from the government. They have no idea of their real identities and family backgrounds. Their family bonds are through their childhood experiences in the foster care system. They have suffered abuse at the hands of their caretakers and are bound together by a murder they committed years ago. They are now bonded together by their secret company, The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency. Their agency works behind the scenes and specializes in extractions. They find those who are lost. Their latest case has led them to a serial killer who is targeting women connected with law enforcement personnel. They are trying to get one step ahead rather than one step behind. They want to catch him before he strikes again. The FBI is somewhat collaborating with them in hopes the exchanges will lead to the killer. They have relocated the agency to Cisco, Wyoming for a legit cover.
Ryker Jones has been having a no ties affair with Paralegal Zara Remington. They met through the law firm Zara works for. Ryker has done work for the firm. Now he is living in town permanently and wants more from their affair than a bedroom romp. Zara’s not quite sure how to take that because Ryker has way too many secrets. The thing is Zara also has a secret, a secret that has put her in danger, jeopardized her job, and just may get her killed. Ryker and his brothers are determined to protect Zara and keep her under the radar of the serial killer they are chasing. Dealing with two very different deadly situations has their plates full when their past comes back to haunt them in another very deadly way.
There are too many secrets and each one ends in Deadly Silence.
I was glued to the pages and on the edge of my seat. Rebecca Zanetti is the queen of writing sexy romantic suspense. The ending was just the beginning for the Blood Brothers. Their secrets are getting exposed and the revelations behind the secrets are riveting.
I highly recommend reading Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti!

About Rebecca Zanetti:
New York Times Bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti is the author of over twenty-five dark paranormals, romantic suspense, and contemporary romances, and her books have appeared multiple times on the USA Today, NY Times, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and iBooksbestseller lists. She lives in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with her own Alpha hero, two kids, a couple of dogs, a crazy cat…and a huge extended family. She believes strongly in luck, karma, and working her butt off…and she thinks one of the best things about being an author, unlike the lawyer she used to be, is that she can let the crazy out. Her current series are: The Scorpius Syndrome, The Dark Protectors, The Realm Enforcers, The Maverick Montana Cowboys, and the Sin Brothers series.
Brie Graves might be jobless, living with her brother, and recovering from a painful break-up, but she’s determined to enjoy the holidays. Until the end of the year, she’s going to do anything she wants to do, no matter how crazy it might be. Soon, she discovers exactly what she wants–to spend a week with a fascinating, sophisticated stranger. It doesn’t matter that she only knows his first name or that he’s more than twenty years older than her. After this one week, she’ll never see him again.
Cyrus Damon has spent his life making money and holding himself to impossibly high standards. Pressured into taking a vacation in Savannah, he’s alone and at loose ends, so he lets himself do something he never would have considered otherwise. He gives in to his attraction to a beautiful, free-spirited, and much-too-young woman. But, after the week is over, he’ll once more be the man he’s always been, left with nothing but the memory of a woman who made him happier than he’s ever been.
He has no idea that when he visits his nephew in a charming bed and breakfast called Eden Manor, he’ll find the woman he thought he’d left for good.
Christmas at Eden Manor is a short holiday romance with an old-fashioned hero in his fifties and a lot of swoony romance. It concludes a sequence of three series (Heirs of Damon, Beaufort Brides, and Eden Manor), but it can easily be read as a standalone.

Excerpt
When they’d finished the last of the wine and the mousse had been licked clean, Brie put down her spoon and collapsed back in her chair. “Wow. That was probably the best dinner—the best meal—I’ve ever had.”
Cyrus smiled at her, almost fondly. “Good. I’ll tell Gordon you appreciated it.”
“Who decided on the menu and… ambience?”
He arched his eyebrows in amused irony. “It was Gordon. He was very pleased about this dinner, and he might have gone a bit too far in setting the mood.”
Intrigued, Brie felt a little less boneless, so she managed to lean forward, resting her head on one hand. “Really? Does he do a lot of matchmaking for you?”
“He never has before,” Cyrus said with a half shrug. “I was as surprised as you were.”
“Were you really? You acted totally suave, like you have romantic dinners like this all the time.”
“I doubt you’d believe me if I told you how long it’s been since I’ve had a romantic meal of any kind.”
A surge of curiosity banished a lot of her decadent languor. “How long?” she demanded.
Cyrus’s mouth twisted into what might have been a sheepish smile. “I don’t think I’m going to tell you.”
“But I want to know.”
His eyes transformed as he gazed at her. The shift was almost imperceptible, but Brie felt a shudder shape itself in the base of her spine in response to his expression. “Do you always get what you want?” Cyrus continued, his voice throaty, the texture making her shudder even more.
“No,” she admitted. “Almost never.”
“There’s something wrong with a world where such a thing is true.”
It took her a minute to unravel this comment, but when she did she was moved even more. The man didn’t even seem to be trying, but he had the knack for always saying the right thing, for being kind and romantic and civilized, all at exactly the same time.
She’d never believed it was possible before.
She knew she was treading in dangerous waters here. She was on the verge of being swept away by him completely. She wanted to enjoy herself with him this week, but she didn’t want to do something so foolish it would leave her hurt and lonely next week.
She didn’t know this man. Not really. So she could feel a resistance rising inside her, at the same time as the deep attraction.
She needed to change the mood between them. Quickly.
“Let’s walk some more,” she suggested lightly. “I could use it after such a meal.”
He stood up and took her hand to help her out of her seat. Then he didn’t let her hand go as they strolled through the gardens again.
She soon realized her suggestion might have been a mistake. The rich scent of the air, the soft moonlight, and the feel of Cyrus’s warm hand quickly went to her head. She felt unsteady, overly warm, and so fluttery she couldn’t take a deep breath.
“God, Cyrus!” she gasped, as an ache of need pulsed through her before she was ready to handle it.
Cyrus had appeared calm, leisurely, at his ease. But he’d evidently been fighting feelings of his own. Her breathless cry seemed to snap his control. He used his clasp on her hand to pivot her around and then slid his free arm around her, pressing her against the length of his body.
His warm, lean strength was exactly what Brie wanted to feel. She freed her hand from his and instinctively twined her arms around his neck. With his hand now free, he used it to cup the back of her head.
“You’re so beautiful, Brie,” he murmured thickly. “So beautiful and… and glowing with life.” His eyes like flames, almost fierce in the moonlight, he leaned his head down to claim her lips.

Tracey’s Review
Because of my love for most all things Christmas, and in my quest for books that will allow me to get a bit of a head start towards my favorite time of the year, I read CHRISTMAS AT EDEN MANOR by author Noelle Adams. I had never read anything else by Noelle, but, honestly, if it’s a Christmas romance, it’s on my radar right now.
This book is a bit of a departure from the books that I typically read, in that it is somewhat softer and, while there are definitely some steamy scenes, more refined. I was interested to see how the author would handle the 20-year difference between Brie and Cyrus, whether it would work, and what their relationship would look like. I was happily surprised by the way that the story unfolds, because it really is about two people that, despite the differences between them, including the age gap, have so much in common that those differences become insignificant.
And, while this is technically a holiday read, and Christmas does figure into the plot, it’s much more a book about relationships and overcoming pre-conceived notions about people, and forgiving ourselves, and that made this book an engaging and enjoyable read for me.
While CHRISTMAS AT EDEN MANOR is part of a series, and characters that have been introduced in earlier books are significant supporting characters here, this can easily be read as a standalone. I do, though, want to go back and read the other books, because I have a feeling that the relationships that unfold in them will be just as interesting as the one between Brie and Cyrus. 4 stars for CHRISTMAS AT EDEN MANOR, another enjoyable read in this year’s holiday reading.

Some serious shit went down when I was in the Army. I mean brutal. After my last tour, I created the Shadow Alliance. Me and my team know how to get things done, and will take on all those jobs that others won’t. My name is Declan McAllister and when it comes to keeping people safe, I’m your man. Mess with me and I will rain hell-fire on you like you’ve never experienced before.
Few things get my motor running like beauty and brains. Okay, a nice ass doesn’t hurt either. Getting a chance to work with FBI Agent Allison Davies, who is the whole package, normally would be great, except when she followed my butt down to the flood ravaged country of Paraguay to track down a traitor, and ends up putting her career on the line.
Now here we are attempting to keep things professional, but the more I watch Allison pour her heart and soul into this case, the more I want to see what that same passion would be like between the sheets.
Excerpt
I dropped to one knee and stared at the little boy who looked like he might be sleeping amongst the dust and debris. Brushing off the bits of rock and rubble from his face, I picked him up and hugged him close. Despite all my prayers, I knew deep in my heart he was dead, like all the others in this God forsaken mess that surrounded me.
“Declan. We’ve got to go.” Brannon’s voice seemed distant.
Something red and blue caught my eye. It was a little stuffed horse. Had it been the boy’s? Goddammit, be careful, you’ll drop him. Regaining my balance on the cement fragments, I bent down and picked up the toy and put it on the child’s chest, cuddling both of them closer to my heart.
The little boy had lived in this house, one of three destroyed in one fell swoop, killing innocent women and children. The damn headdress obscured my vision for a moment, or was something else in my eyes? I saw something move towards me. Men with shovels, running and shouting. After a moment, I understood them. They were right. Maybe there were survivors. I could help look, or at least help dig out the remaining bodies.
A warm hand touched my shoulder. I turned, it was Brannon Dodge. “We’ve got to go.”
“I did this.”
“No. No, you didn’t. Dec, we’ve got to go.” The body of the little boy was cooling in my arms despite the heat surrounding us. He would never grow up. Never go to school. Never become a man.
“We’ve got to leave the country,” Brannon insisted.
“I’m not leaving.” There was no way I was going back to the US. I’d help these men bury their loved ones. If they realized I was an American, so be it. I deserved whatever happened. The intelligence provided by one of my men had done this. Death would be welcome.
Brannon called out loudly in their native tongue, “Whose son is this?” A crowd of men swarmed and one sobbed.
“My boy. My boy.” The man trembled as I carefully placed the precious bundle into his arms, making sure the stuffed horse stayed with him. He wailed loudly in his grief, as people huddled around him, trying to offer sympathy. Brannon grabbed at my arm. I was just too tired to pull away.
Step after step he dragged me. I couldn’t help myself, I kept looking backwards at the devastation I’d wrought. Homes that an hour ago had held happiness, joy, and dreams of a future.
“Let me go, Brannon. I need to stay.” I jerked away.
“Not going to happen, major.”
So fucking tired. How many days had we been there? We’d been weeding through leads and chasing our tails for what seemed like forever. The team had been shot at, stabbed, and now this. Laird was barely hanging on and had been sent to Germany.. My thoughts sent the bile rushing into my mouth and I doubled over losing the little bit of food I’d eaten that morning. Brannon stood there, then I made a run for it
“Declan, they’ll figure out you’re an American. You’ll be killed, or worse.”
