Fans of The Wicked Horse Series by Sawyer Bennett have been waiting for Wicked Bond to release. Throughout the series the readers have gotten to know Bridger Payne in many ways. We’ve seen how loyal he is to those he cares about.While he is so giving to others, he keeps himself withdrawn into himself. In many ways the man is a complete enigma. Wicked Bond is his story and it’s a doozy.

After witnessing his friends and close colleagues pulling away from the Silo, he’s beginning to question his own place in the kinky club he created. While he understands his depravities and needs, he also longs for something he knows he will never be able to have. That was destroyed within him long ago.

When a biker friend drops off an unconscious woman for protection, Bridger is put in a perilous position. As her story unfolds and the abuse she has gone through matches his own, Bridger has found his true soulmate. Can he let go of his demons and give his heart to this woman?

Not only does Bridger have to let go of his demons, he has to look at himself in the mirror and see the good man he has become.

Sawyer Bennett pull out all the stops and whistles with this book. Not only was it extremely sexual, it was extremely emotional. She killed me when Maggie and Bridger’s world imploded. The aftermath was so heartbreaking not only for Bridger and Maggie but also characters from another series.

Wicked Bond is the best book in the series.

“Kennedy, do you mind sitting in the chair?” Max asks.

I turn to look at him and then focus on the chair. I can do this. After joining him up on stage, I take a seat.

Kneeling down in front of me, he smiles. “If you ever feel uncomfortable, all you have to do is say stop. We’re not going to do something you don’t want.”

“Okay.”

“Are you ready?” Closing my eyes, I nod. The lights dim but when I open my eyes, I can’t see the couch. The lights above have hidden them from sight, making it feel like I’m the only one in the room. Music starts to play and it’s no shock that “Pony” by Ginuwine is the song choice. It’s the perfect one to set the mood.

I can feel someone behind me and then their warm hands caressing my shoulders. The smell of his cologne drifts to my nose and I gasp. Is it the guy I talked to in the club? Heart racing, I wait for him to face me, but he stays behind me, his mouth so close to my ear.

“Are you ready, Kennedy?” he murmurs. I suck in a breath and freeze. It is him. He circles around me, his dark eyes full of heat. “Are you?” he repeats.

Michel’s Review

Wow! Sawyer Bennett has taken over the dark, erotic thriller genre. Sugar Rush is the second novel in the dark Sugar Bowl series. This novel wove an even more tangled web.

One of the things I have noticed in most trilogies is the second novel is more of a filler to the overall story. There is usually very little progression in the plot. The readers get a recap of the first novel, the backstory of the characters, and more development in the romantic relationship. Sugar Rush had all of these characteristics but also added something more. It added real “MEAT” to the story. The plot progressed and changed coarse. The intended outcome was the same, to destroy Jonathan Townsend. The new twisted directions turned the tables and may have changed who had the upper hand.

I could not put this book down and when I finished I was flabbergasted. I cannot predict what is going to happen next.

Sela Halstead had a mission.

Even the most thought out and meticulously executed missions can go awry. The plan was to become a Sugar Baby at the Sugar Bowl, an exclusive dating service for wealthy, powerful men.
