So, can I move to Bitterroot Valley, Montana? Because I’m ready, thanks to Kristen Proby, who continues to create a place and people that feel just like home. The Wild family and their circle are, as with Kristen’s previous series, the kind of folks that make you wish that you were part of it, and in WILDEST DREAMS, the third and latest book, I have found my current favorite.

I just love Ryan Wild. He’s smart, business savvy, straightforward, and, as his family are seeing, very much a family man. He knows what he wants, and isn’t afraid to go for it, whether it’s a business deal, becoming found family for his foster son, or pursuing Polly Allen, who is pretty amazing in her own right.

Polly, owner of Pocket Full of Polly (love it!), is a shrewd businesswoman, and one that lifts other women up at the same time. She’s known the Wilds for her whole life, and thinks of them as best friends and family, but Ryan, well he’s in a class by himself, ever since the night that he showed her a whole other side of himself.

Yes, these two are passionate about each other, but what I love the best in their relationship is that they really LIKE each other, they communicate with each other, and they support each other in all of the ways. They are truly relationship goals, and the way that they love their friends and family makes them even more of a power couple.

This series continues to get better with each book, which is saying something, because I’ve loved all of them. Next up is Abbi and Brady in ON THE WILD SIDE, which promises to be as amazing as all of the others, and I cannot wait. If you haven’t met the Wilds of Montana, now’s the time. What a perfect ending to the Time River series! Author A.L. Jackson wowed me once again, delivering a book that pulled out all of the stops, giving me all of the feels, and keeping me guessing right up to the very end.

Amy has proven time and again that she is the mistress of romantic suspense, and HOLD ME UNTIL MORNING is another shining example. I thought that I’d read my most favorite book in the series, but then I met Hailey and Cody, and all bets were off. These two had my heart at every turn, and Amy delivered a story that I could not put down. Suspense, passion, irresistible small town and family connections, and a plot that had me completely immersed. My heart ached for the things that both Cody and Hailey had experienced, and in the next moment was soaring because their blossoming love was just everything.

As always, our favorite characters from the earlier books are in fine form, and the most precocious and adorable children I’ve read lately kept me smiling. And can I just say that everyone needs a Lolly in their lives.

I’m sorry to see the end of Time River, because it has truly given me some of my most favorite of Amy’s couples, and their stories will remain with me. If you’re already a fan, these books are must-reads, and if you’re just meeting A.L. Jackson, they’re a great place to start. Either way, make sure to dive in and enjoy. ❤️

Do I love a good second chance romance? Yes, I do, which makes CHASING WILD, the second book in the Wilds of Montana series by Kristen Proby, just right for me.

While I appreciate the whole ‘getting to know you’ aspect of a new romance, I’m a sucker for those folks that just weren’t able to get things right the first time around. And while Chase’s and Summer’s relationship was more ‘friends with the hope of something more,’ seeing them come together and their love grow without any third act break-up is a welcome change from most of the books that I’ve read lately.

Strong friendships and family relationships, and the small town closeness that make Kristen’s stories so special are the threads that weave the characters and their journey together and make for such an enjoyable read. There are plenty of cameos from the Seattle branch of the Montgomery family, making this feel like a visit with old friends.

Chase’s and Summer’s chapter are a wonderful addition to the Wilder family series, and having seen more of Ryan and Polly, I can’t wait to jump into their book, WILDEST DREAMS. In the meantime, make your way to Bitterroot Valley and get to know the Wilds. You’ll be glad that you did. ❤️

In Willow Fork, TX, the Barnes-Fleetwood name carries weight, and Joshua Barnes-Fleetwood wears that name proudly. He and adopted brother Jared Burch, known by one and all as ‘Grim,’ are confident about what they want out of life, and there aren’t many folks that will stand in their way. Welcome to my absolute favorite book yet in the Highlands series from author Samantha Young. THROUGH THE GLEN is romantic suspense done well, with a plot that drew me in from the very beginning and an unlikely couple that had me rooting for them from the go.

Sarah McCulloch has grown so much from the earlier books in the series, and it’s evident even from the very start of this book. She’s got a whole life that very few know about, and the fact that she can throw Mr. Theo Cavendish for a loop is one of my favorite things about their story. She has developed both self-knowledge and self-worth, thanks in large part to her beloved grandfather and cousin, and I truly appreciate that she is able to set boundaries and stick with them as her relationship with Theo progresses.

I adore Theo. Did I think he was a smarmy so and so before this book? Yes, yes I did. Did I fall absolutely in love with him during the course of this book, finding him to be one of my favorite of Samantha’s male characters ever? Again, yes.

The chemistry between Sarah and Theo is no less steamy for it being a bit of a slow burn. The evolution of them from co-creators to couple is not without trouble, but I think that this is what makes it sweeter and more satisfying to me as a reader. And seeing them come fully into themselves by the end of the book had this romance lover doing a happy dance. I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in The Highlands series, but Theo and Sarah hold a special place in my heart.

Next up in the series is Jared McCulloch’s and Allegra Howard’s book, SKIES OVER CALEDONIA, and I can hardly wait. In the meantime, make sure to get caught up with Sarah and Theo. I guarantee, you will love them. Happy Reading. ❤️

I was super-excited when Kristen Proby let readers know that she was starting a new series based in her home state of Montana. First of all, if Kristen writes it, I’m going to read it, but the fact that these books are set in a place that she loves so much and also has a bit of crossover with the Montgomerys of Seattle, well, the deal was sealed.

WILD FOR YOU, the first book in The Wilds of Montana series, is everything that I was expecting and more. I knew that I would love this new world, but I was not prepared for just how much I would love it. Heck, I was all in from the teaser, and once I started reading, I could not put it down.

I have always appreciated that Kristen writes heroines that are strong, smart, and self-confident. There’s just something about seeing a woman that is not afraid to live life on her terms. And, well, it’s no secret that the men in her books are strong, supportive, and fully focused on family, and that is sexy as all get out. Age gap romances are not always my favorite, but Kristen is, and she has written the love story between Remington Wild and Erin Montgomery in a way that is organic and natural, steamy yet sweet, and just right.

I am totally gone on the Wilds, from the siblings to their parents, to the cutest and most precocious kids ever, and I could not be happier that Kristen has decided to focus on this series and give us more books in the very near future. I absolutely fell in love with The Highlands series when Samantha Young released BEYOND THE THISTLES earlier this year, so I was highly anticipating seeing more of this beautiful place and the people that live there. AMONG THE HEATHER, the second book in the series, is just as beautiful, and the story just as magnetic, as the first, and I could not have enjoyed it more.

Let me just say that I LOVE the fact that North Hunter is a man that knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, even when what, or rather who, he wants is Aria Howard, and she’s having none of it. I also love the fact that this is not an insta-love kind of story, but that Samantha actually allows the relationship between these two to develop over time, for them to make their way from enemies to lovers in a way that makes sense.

Samantha has given us the perfect blend of romance, steam, and suspense, as well as showing the emotional growth and evolution of both Aria and North in a way that had me rooting for them from early on, and celebrating with them as they overcame those things in their pasts that had kept them from being truly free for so many years. I sped through this book, for no other reason than that I could not put it down, both because of needing to know what was around the next curve and because I needed them to get to their happy. Suffice to say that I was not disappointed, and that I cannot wait to get the next book, although I kind of want to kick a certain son of a viscount in the head. 4.5 well deserved stars for AMONG THE HEATHER. Although Louise Bay’s books have been some of my favorites since early days, I had not read any of the books in the The Doctors series. Until now, that is, because I have just fallen in complete and total love with Beau Cove and the entire Cove family, and I can’t wait for more.

DR. FAKE FIANCÉ is easily one of the most enjoyable books that I’ve had the pleasure of reading lately. Likable characters and a modern and relatable story line made for a book that I could not put down. I loved both Vivian and Beau, and the supporting cast of characters are awesome (I must admit to being a little bit in love with Beau’s dad…). This story is an absolute feel good read, which are few and far between, and so stands out as a favorite even more vividly. Can you tell that I really, really liked this book?

If you’ve read the other stories in the series, DR. FAKE FIANCÉ will be an easy and much-loved next step in the saga. For those of you like myself that have not, it will be just the read to send you back to the beginning to devour every one of the books about the Coves that you can clap your eyes on. Truly, do not miss this book. One of my favorites of 2023, and one that I cannot recommend enough. Happy reading! ❤️

I knew that this book was going to do me in from the first page. That Amy would make Dakota’s and Ryder’s story one that would steal, break, and rebuild my heart and leave me a complete and utter mess in the process. And I was not wrong.

How could we help but see that Ryder and Dakota were soul mates, from first to last, no matter what? That no matter what forces conspired to keep them apart, they were meant to be, and that a man that appears to be all hard edges and a woman whose softness belies her strength were the missing piece that the other needed?

No one writes romantic suspense quite like Amy does. The grittiness, the danger, the passion that all lead, always, to a beautiful end. And she is totally pulling out all of the stops with the Time River series, delivering two amazing books that I could not put down, and that will stay with me for a very long time. At this rate, I’m not sure that I’ll recover from Ezra’s book, but I cannot wait to see what she’s got for us. If you haven’t read these books, you are totally missing out.
