BLURB

Romance author Hannah Bircham had made it. She was living the dream; a successful writing career, a loving husband, and dream home. Life couldn’t get better.
But it could get worse.
And it did.
The dream ended. And life as she knew it took a turn into Destitute City, party of one. Divorced, lost, and worst of all, a neurotic anxiety-ridden mess, Hannah’s focus and admirations disappeared. Feeling down on her luck, Hannah lost her mojo, her gift of writing.
How did one write about love when they’d stopped believing in it?
Hannah could either make up the perfect muse, or make it her mission to meet him. She just needed a little push. With encouragement from her best friend, Hannah decided to join a dating app, convinced she wouldn’t find Mr. Forever, but maybe, at the very least, she’d find her inspiration.
A muse.
Enter Wren Marner.
The complicated, sexy alpha veteran with his trunk of accomplishments and adventures walked, talked, and looked as if he’d just stepped out of a sultry romance novel. He was every woman’s fantasy and at the same time, the man one knew they should stay away from.
Filled with equal parts fear and fascination, Hannah threw caution to the wind, but what she experienced terrified her like never before.
Still, she forged forward.
But with all the wonder of Wren also came a reality Hannah didn’t know how to handle. She told herself he was merely work, but the truth was she was falling for him. And that couldn’t happen. But walking away from him wasn’t possible either, when he was her muse.
With her future on the line, she had to decide: As she entered the next chapter in her life, did she delve deeper with Wren in hopes of saving her career, or run in hopes of saving her heart?

EXCERPT

Sipping my coffee, I grinned as Wren and Kegs debated about which female superhero would win if they faced off, She-Ra or Wonder Woman. They seemed to like the same kind of things, but not when it came down to the specifics.
“Wonder Woman can fly,” Kegs argued.
“She-Ra has the sword of protection and He-Man is her brother.” Wren shook his head, his face twisted as he raised a hand in confusion—like how could Kegs not see how obvious it was? “Dude, it’s a no-brainer,” he added.
Kegs scoffed, making me chuckle. They were really into this debate. Raising his hand, Kegs began ticking off a list of Wonder Woman’s advantages, “Bro, Wonder Woman is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, she has longevity, and super-human strength.” He flopped back in his seat as if he’d just put the whole thing to rest, but then popped back up, widening his eyes. “The lasso of truth, dude. Boom!” He laughed and pretended like he was dropping a mic on the ground. Wren chuckled as he stared down at his phone, his thumb moving over the screen appearing to be texting. Dropping his phone in his lap, he turned his head and looked at Kegs who was grinning, waiting for Wren to admit defeat.
“She-Ra was the alter ego of Princess Adora, which means she had multiple personalities, which means she was crazy,” Wren pointed out with an air of profoundness. “Crazy is a superpower.” Kegs laughed as Wren cut his gaze to me, a smirk on his face. I glared at him, pretending to be insulted by his comment since he constantly told me I was crazy, even though I thought he was somewhat amusing.
“You have a point, man,” Kegs agreed. I rolled my eyes. Men.
I opened my mouth to say something snarky when my phone vibrated. Taking it out, I was surprised to see I had a text from Wren.
Wren: You look gorgeous today.

I couldn’t stop the grin that exploded across my face after reading it. Ugh, what was wrong with me? I was such a girl. I was being one of those women…the ones that acted like little school girls when a boy said something nice to them. Tucking my phone back in my purse, I glanced up at him, the same dumb grin still on my face because it just wouldn’t go away, no matter how hard I tried to make it.
His gaze was fixed on mine. I rolled my eyes at him. Eye rolling was my forte.
He tilted his head, smirking. Don’t roll your eyes at me, woman.
I bit my lip, trying to stop myself from laughing. I shimmied my head in a talk-to-the-hand way. Don’t tell me what to do. We had a conversation without saying a word.
Kegs was oblivious to all of this because he admitted defeat in the She-Ra vs. Wonder Woman debate. “Okay, man. She-Ra might have the slightest advantage.”
We couldn’t help it. Wren and I chuckled because he had completely missed the moment that transpired between us.

Michel’s Review

B N Toler has a knack for bringing something different to the romance world.  Her main characters are mature with some life experience under their belts.  They’ve had a chance to establish careers and begin molding their futures.  Along the way they have had successes and failures, made mistakes and forged forward.  They’ve had obstacles as well as open doors.  But something happens in their lives to throw them off course causing them to question everything about their lives.  They start molding new perspectives, reaching for new goals, and learn that love is more than what you read in romance novels.  Crazy Girl is the perfect example of this kind of back.

Hannah Bircham is a woman down on her luck and stalled in her current life situation.  Rather than embracing her successes and forging forward she has allowed her mistakes and failures to mire her down.  She thinks she’s lost her creativity and is experiencing writers block until she meets Wren Marner.  Wren Marner is an alpha male confident in his life style and isn’t one to waste time or effort on the trivial things.  It doesn’t hurt that he is drop dead sexy and charming in his own way.  Hannah’s time with Wren inspires her to start writing again.  She thinks he has become her muse.  Everything is perfect until it isn’t.  Life once again rears it’s ugly head but opens Hannah’s eyes.  Wren wasn’t her muse after all, he was something altogether more.

I won’t say much more except this book was fantastic.  B N Toler once again delivered a novel that can stand in a class by itself.

Synopsis

Rock bottom.

Liam had set up shop there.

After an accident left him injured and unable to work, it wasn’t long before he ended up on the street with his dreams in the gutter.

This was it.

This was his life.

Until the day he met Max Porter—a man who appeared to have it all. They didn’t meet so much as made eye contact as Max sneered at Liam, the bum occupying precious space on the sullied New York City street.

When Max stepped into oncoming traffic, a lesser man might’ve let him. But Liam risked his life to save Max only to be left to die without a second thought.

When Liam woke up days later, he wasn’t himself…at least he wasn’t in his body.

He was in Max’s.

And with Liam’s body on life support, there was only one logical conclusion: Max was trapped in Liam’s comatose body.

Somehow the twisted hands of fate had given Liam a second chance; a chance to have it all. But with all the perks of Max’s life also came his problems. Finding balance in his new identity was challenged more so once Liam fell for Waverly, Max’s beautiful ex.

Could Liam live out his life as another man or would he pull the plug and let fate decide?

Would he lose his chance at true love?

Would he lose the chance to have it all?

Michel’s Review

Wow… what an extraordinary story!  The blurb for To Have It All by B N Toler captured my attention on release day.  I immediately downloaded it and devoured it in one sitting.  It was unique with extraordinary circumstances that controlled the lives of two very different men.  One man is a good soul in a bad situation.  The other man has everything a person could desire but has carelessly wasted the gifts life has bestowed upon him.  Karma stepped in and changed their lives in a matter of seconds. Liam and Max are bound together in life and death.

Max is trapped inside a dying body while he witnesses another man, Liam, stealing his life.

Liam is trapped inside Max’s gorgeous, fit body that possesses wealth, power, and a blessed life.  Max has carelessly treated these gifts and threw away everything good in his life.  He has treated others very badly and only cared about his own needs.  Being trapped inside Max’s body, a man that is ugly to the core and hated by every person he has had contact with are hard shoes to fill when it goes against Liam’s own morals and ethics.  Trying to live his own life without disrupting Max’s is even worse because Max has everything Liam ever wanted.  He had the love of a good woman that he drove away.  He was blessed with a beautiful child he didn’t want.  Liam knows his time has an expiration date.  He knows his real body is dying. Does he grab onto the gifts in Max’s life for a brief moment or does he proceed as Max would?

Sometimes there isn’t a choice.  Sometimes you have to grab onto life and live it to it’s fullest.  Sometimes you have to reap what you sow.

Only fate knows….

I was floored by the pure beauty of this book.  It was truly an emotional story that had a powerful message.  I have become a huge B.N. Toler fan.  She is an amazing author that reaches deep and touches the soul.

Synopsis

Paul James loved Clara Bateman.
Hating her would have been easier.
She was the past, and he was hell-bent on keeping her there.
Or so he thought…

Craigslist Ad: DESPERATELY SEEKING EPIC

You’re my father.
I don’t know much about you. I know your name is Paul James, you’re a thrill seeker, and once upon a time you did stunts and people called you ‘Epic.’
I’ve been told you don’t know about me. That it’s complicated.
But for me it’s simple.
Here’s the thing: I’m twelve years old…and I’m dying.
And as much as this could crush my mother, I have to meet you before I go.
In time, I’m sure she’ll understand. She’s still in love with you.
So, Epic, if you read this, please come back. You don’t have to be my dad. You don’t even have to tell me you love me or you’re sorry. Just come see me.

Patiently waiting, but running out of time,

Neena

Michel’s Review

I saw this book blowing up on social media and I had never read any books by B. N. Toler. The synopsis intrigued me.  I had to read this book.

It was an EPIC reading experience.

Get out the tissues and be ready for that really ugly, snotty cry.

Does that sound depressing?  Believe me it’s not!  This is a story of love, life, friendship, and family.  It makes the reader realize that every moment we spend we are experiencing something EPIC.  Every moment is defining in some way.  Every moment changes our lives.  Every moment makes a difference.

Paul James and Claire Bateman made quite a few mistakes in their younger lives.  Both were stubborn, independent, and head strong.  Both had different definitions of happiness.  Regardless of those definitions they found that once in a lifetime love with one another.  The problem was that neither knew what to do with those powerful feelings.  Neither knew how to surrender or compromise.  Neither knew how to surrender to the heart.  Rather than experiencing something epic, they went their separate ways with a heart full of hurt and regret.  Their short time together left a mark on both of their souls. Their love for one another created something EPIC.  They created a beautiful daughter, a girl with a pure heart and soul.  They created Neena.

When Paul left, not only was Claire devastated, but also his best friend Marcus.  As one door closed, another opened.   Claire and Marcus bonded and became best friends.  Marcus became the rock Claire needed and the father figure Neena needed. Both felt betrayed by Paul’s disappearance.  As Neena’s health begins to decline they realize that they have to let their anger go and bring Paul home.  He may be Neena’s only hope for survival.

Neena is facing her own mortality.  She’s an impressionable twelve year old girl that has only heard stories about her biological father.  She’s heard the good, the exciting, and the disappointing stories.  She wants to experience her own story with him.  She places a Craigs List Ad that goes viral on social media.  It captures the attention of the world.  The world wants Neena to find EPIC.

When Paul is finally forced to return home, he has no clue about the Craigs List Ad, social media, the media hounds, or Neena.  When he meets his daughter for the first time it is beyond EPIC, it is extraordinary.  He may have lost the love of his life but he was given a chance to experience a new love in his life.

Neena, Paul, Claire, Marcus, and three teenagers embark on something EPIC, something that changes all their lives.  It changes their perceptions, their priorities, and their relationships.  They experience something EPIC!

This book was absolutely amazing. It’s EPIC!
