Michel’s Review

Nine Minutes is one of the books that stunned my senses and left me with a major book hangover. I read this book over a month and half ago. After I finished the book I had to gift this book to several of my friends because it is the kind of book you “have” to read. Each and every friend that has read this book had the same kind of reactions that I had to it.

This more than a typical biker romance. It is a story that renders a very real look into a lawless lifestyle. Although many of the characters are hardened criminals with ethics that are horrendous, they are also very human. Their emotions and feelings are just as valid as anyone else emotions. Their methods of dealing with their emotions are just as valid as how anyone else deals with their own. We all have insecurities, we all have hopes and dreams, we all want the ones we love to have the best we can give, and we all have our own ways of protecting our deepest emotions.

The background for this story is so true to it’s portrayal. I grew up in that area of south Florida in that exact timeframe. I am very close to the same age as the heroine in this story. The existence of this kind of MC club was in fact present in that area at that time. As I was reading this book I had chills from the in depth descriptions. I felt like I was walking back in time to my younger years and looking at it through different eyes. It is was mind blowing. When my mother, who has lived in south Florida for over fifty years, and raised her family there, read this book she was just as stunned as I was.

The story itself was captivating. It is a story of a lawless life, a story of a stolen life, and a story of unconditional love. Although Grizz lived in a very violent world and delivered his own kind brand of justice, he also had a sense of honor and heart of gold. For those he loved, he gave his all. For those that betrayed his love and trust, he dealt with in a very gruesome violent manner. In the end he paid for his love. In the end he paid for his sins. He did it with honor for those he loved. He accepted the punishments for the crimes he committed. He protected his family from suffering the repercussions of his crimes. He gave those he loved the ultimate gift. He gave them the gift of love and happiness.

Ginny was a young teenage girl when she was abducted. She was just beginning her journey into womanhood. Although she was taken, manipulated, and molded into a different kind of person, she was also given the gift of unconditional love. Her life may have turned out very differently had she not been abducted. Would she have had a better life? Most likely not. Her childhood was not sunshine and roses. Her life was not full of love. She was forced to grow up at an early age. She was forced to become responsible and self reliant. She was a survivor. She used her intelligence to guide her. I think that is one of the reasons she was abducted. One person saw the uniqueness and inner strength she possessed. One person saw her value as a human being. One person loved her for everything she was. One person valued her enough to steal her away. In the end that one person almost destroyed her life. Through it all that one person also gave her more than his love, he gave her a love that would last a lifetime and always be there for her. He gave her a new love story to live.

Nine Minutes is not a forever love story. Nine Minutes is breathtaking story of unconditional love and strength of the human spirit. Nine Minutes is two beautiful love stories that intwine one woman into a person of strength, compassion, and beauty. Two love stories that show her how by just being herself is more valuable than anything else in this world.

Nine Minutes is a powerful story. Although Nine Minutes ends with a cliffhanger, it is not one that will have readers in an emotional uproar. Nine Minutes has a resolution to that part of Ginny’s story. It ended the only way it could. The cliffhanger is more about the secrets that will be revealed. It is about the other love story in the book. It is the path to Ginny’s forever love story.

Read Nine Minutes! It is exceptional!

The half-naked platinum blonde kneeling in front of me sucks dick like a damn champ.

“Shit! Dammit, Dad!” my teenage daughter Brooke suddenly shrieks from across the living room while covering her eyes with her hands. Her voice immediately kills my hard on.

Pushing the bimbo off me, I stand to pull up my pants, wincing as I tuck my still sensitive cock away. I move forward to find my daughter, who is not supposed to be home today, and the blonde paws at me as I go to make my way past her. I would have preferred it if she’d run her mouth and taken off; instead, she’s pouting at me because we didn’t finish. I am a huge fan of the Reaper’s MC series by Joanna Wylde. I have been looking forward to this book, Reaper’s Stand. Throughout the series we have gotten some really harsh glimpses of the perilous leader of the Reaper’s MC. Reese “Picnic” Hayes has inserted his bad ass attitude through out the series. At the same time we saw some vulnerabilities that made the reader’s crave his story. We wanted him to find a woman that could stand up to him and love him, regardless of who he is. What Joanna Wylde gave Reese “Picnic” Hayes was a lot more than he bargained for. She gave him a strong woman that could hold her own in his world and give him a special place in her world.

With the upcoming troubles with the cartel, the future of the Reaper’s MC is looking grim. War is coming to the Reaper’s MC and their allies. The last thing Picnic needs is a woman. Especially a woman like London Armstrong. She is not a part of his world and doesn’t belong in it. He’s had the love of a good woman, lost her, and raised his children alone. He’s had the best of the best and the worst of the worst. There’s something about London’s honest attitude, dedication to her family, and hard working ethics that appeals to him. Not to mention her natural beauty and smoking hot body.

London Armstrong owns the local cleaning business. She has taken on some contracts for the Reaper MC club. She has been raising her niece alone for the last six years and dealing with a very troubled teenager. She doesn’t have time in her life for a man. Especially a man that brings trouble of his own. Reese “Picnic” Hayes puts a whole new meaning to the word trouble.

When her niece gets tangled up in trouble with Reese’s club, London has to bargain for her nieces safety. She appeals to Reese’s softer side, his position as a parent. How can he deny her? But he has conditions of his own that include getting into London’s bed.

London has been dating the local deputy in town. Now she will have to chose between her attraction to Reese or Deputy Nate Evans. Once she makes her choice all hell breaks loose.

Her niece Jessica finds more trouble than London can handle. The war with the cartel is escalating. The deputy is not all he seemed to be. Reese is giving London more than she bargained for. It will come down to London choosing between Jessica, Nate, and Reese. She will always chose her family first. She will become a prime player in the war. She will pay dearly in this deadly war.

I absolutely loved Reaper’s Stand. No only was it an intense love story, it was the climatic ending in the ongoing war the Reaper’s have been fighting. This story was suspenseful and thrilling. Reaper’s Stand not only focused on the club but also focused on the importance of family. It also portrayed the honest emotions that go into parenting and protecting your children no matter what age they are.

The romance between London and Reese was steamy. Although these two were mature adults, they found the playfulness and excitement that most experience in their youth. They are realistic with their expectations in their relationship. When trouble comes knocking on the door, both will have to make some hard choices. These choices aren’t about their feelings for one another. They are choices that will affect their families, the club, and the future.

I love the Reaper’s MC series. It is one of the best Biker series in publication. The characters and their club life are very real. Joanna not only gives the readers badass bikers, she also shows the very human side of their lives. I highly recommend this book and series.

I was really excited when I received the ARC for Lay It Down by Cara McKenna. I have been reading her books for quite some time and she always delivers a fantastic story and red hot romance. I haven’t read a book from her that I didn’t like. She is diverse in plot, subjects, characters, and sensuality. I was very excited to see her starting a Motorcycle Club series. Lay It Down did not disappoint. The characters were fantastic, both the main characters and secondary characters. The plot was quite different than most MC books. She blended the plot, the MC world, and romance with finesse.

Lay It Down starts with a murder mystery. Vince starts investigating the murder of his long time friend, Deputy Alex Dunn. He meets Kim, a photographer for Sunnyside, the site of a future casino. She quickly becomes involved in helping Vince solve the mystery of his friend’s murder.

Vince and Kim are instantly attracted to one another even though they don’t have a single thing in common. The investigation opens the doors for them to get to know one another and explore their attraction. As the mystery unravels their relationship becomes more entangled.

I enjoyed the book but it took a little more concentration for me to get deeply involved in the story. But once I finished the book I was very satisfied with the overall story. Also I realized that because this is the first book in the series, it had to lay the ground work for the small town, other characters, and overall direction of this series. I am looking forward to the next book in the Desert Dogs series.

Stephanie Tyler has done it again. The queen of romantic suspense has started a new series that is going to have the readers hooked.

This new series is called Skulls Creek and book one is titled Viper’s Run. Not only does this new series have the suspense, thrilling action, alpha men, strong women, red hot sexual chemistry, and romance that we have come to expect from Stephanie Tyler. This series features bad boy bikers from the Vipers Motorcycle Club.

What begins as a simple phone call, a plea for help, a dying man, and a woman’s need to reach out turns into an intensely dangerous situation that has the characters thrust into world of danger.

The Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan is one of my all time favorite series. Her portrayal of what being a member of The Hells Horsemen is brutally honest. These men play hard, love fiercely, and protect what is theirs. It is not a matter of black and white, right or wrong, or good and bad. It is real life, the life they chose to make for themselves. They honor that life, honor their brothers, and give their all to the club. Their women are just as tough and charismatic. They have chosen men that are not easy to love and will not always put them first. But they know beneath all of that hardness lies a heart that is dedicated to them and their children.

Madeline Sheehan writes a story that portrays what real life is about. This series is full of honest emotions, coping with choices, moving forward in life no matter what direction it is heading. She is not afraid of time, she allows her characters to age in a realistic manner, she allows sickness and death to touch their world, she shows the hardships of raising families, and she shows the heartaches that come along with life whether it be through mates or friends. On the other hand she shows the beauty life has to give us all. Finding the one person you can give your heart to, raising your children to become strong adults, sharing lifetime friendships, and living life to the fullest. I have to commend Madeline Sheehan. She has created a world in which every reader can relate to. It is not the world of the Hells Horsemen, it is the world where “real” life and very “real” characters.

Unbeloved is not a stand alone novel. The events leading up to this book have played out in every book prior to this book. It would short change the reader to start this series with this book. Relationships have been formed and some have been irrevocably damaged. Friendships have been cemented. Families have been formed. The path the three main characters is on has reached the final crossroads that will take their lives in new directions. It is a path that they need to chose wisely and with care. It is not only their lives that have been affected by their prior choices.

Dorothy Kelley was not always a club whore. She was not always a homewrecker and mistress. She was once a young woman with Cinderella dreams. Her choices and hunger for love have lead her life down a road she would never imagined taking. She loved a married man for years. The cost of that love was high. She lost her self respect, raised her only child in an environment that caused bitterness within that childs heart, and almost paid for her mistakes with her life. One man watched her destroy herself and loved her regardless. He was willing to wait for her to see all that he could give her, his heart. The other man loved her with passion, but not enough to give her an honest life and respect. Because of his selfishness she is now separated from the only family she has known, the Hells Horsemen.
