The girl, Britt, is moving around the small space, clearly at ease with her surroundings. She opens a laptop and sits at a desk wedged in one corner. “You can sit.” Britt points to a second chair.

Good. For a second I thought I was going to be forced to get up on the treatment table. I’m not in the mood to be a guinea pig today.

That’s a lie. I don’t really care what the trainers or specialists do to me as long as they make me a better fighter. It’s the girl that bothers me, not the thought of being under a microscope. This is the only woman I’ve ever met who isn’t instantly and irrevocably afraid of me, and the only one whowho has me tempted into thinking I could have more. More than a filthy, dirty fuck to release tension. More than someone to use for a few hours of pleasure.

Britt’s obviously already damaged. As much as I’d love to peel back those layers, I don’t want to give her a chance to dig out my own psychological scars, the nightmares hidden beneath a baggy hoodie and a cold stare. If I do, Britt may never recover from what she finds.

“I’m sorry,” she apologizes, tapping on her computer. “I only found out you were coming last night, so I don’t have much information and haven’t reviewed your medical file.”

She’s so quiet, I strain to hear her. When I don’t respond, she cocks her head and her eyes flick up to mine. Shit. I duck down so she can’t get a good look at my face.

Fucking coward. She’s going to find out at some point, idiot. Why delay the inevitable? She’ll see the same thing everyone else sees when they look in my eyes… nothing, a monster, a killer.

For the first time in ten years, the thought disturbs me.

Excerpt

I take my shirt off as I walk across the hallway, throwing it down on the floor. Missy is standing with her back to me, testing the temperature of the shower. She peeks over her shoulder and smiles. “I know you probably hear this all this time, but damn, Rowan Kyle. You should never take that shirt off in public again.”

I go for my pants, unbuttoning them, unzipping them. She watches every move. And then I kick off my boots and fling them into the hallway with the shirt. She turns all the way around now and I feel myself getting hard as she presses her palm against my cock, squeezing it through my pants.

“If I knew you were coming back I’d have waited for you.”

God, that hurts.

“I just…” She stops, her sad eyes lingering on mine. “I just didn’t think you would. Come back, I mean.”

“I’m sorry,” I say. And I mean it. I’m so fucking sorry I wasn’t her first.

“It’s OK. We get to skip all that awkward fumbling, right?” She swallows hard and I know she’s sorry too. She was the only girl I dreamed about. The only girl I ever wanted. Even after all my rock-star nights, Melissa Vetti is still the only girl I want.

I place both my hands on her cheeks and lean down to kiss her mouth. Her lips part, her tongue seeking out mine. It’s soft, and slow, and short. Way, way too short.

She pulls away, taking her hand off my cock, and turns, stepping into the shower. I let my pants fall to the floor and toss them in the hallway. The shower has a clear glass surround and I watch her as she stands under the water, her fingers massaging it into her hair.

I step in with her and place my hands on her shoulders so I can turn her towards me. “Melissa—”

“Shh,” she says. “I don’t want to talk about it right now. I just want to enjoy this.” She picks up the soap and starts to lather me up, massaging the bubbles along my arms. Over my chest. Up and down my back.

I grab the bottle of shampoo and squeeze some into my palm, then rub my hands together and begin working it through her long, dark, hair as I study her face. The makeup is smearing as I watch. It makes her look like she’s crying.

“I feel like this is a dream,” she says, her soapy hands moving to my front. “I feel like I’ve been granted some wish but it’s all fake and you’re just going to disappear again. Leave me here alone. Lonely. You want to know why I stay home, RK?”

No. No, I really don’t.

“Because I’m lonely. Because you were my life. And I know I was having doubts back when we were about to graduate, but they were small doubts. Growing-up doubts. Not-knowing-what-I-wanted doubts. But I was never going to break up with you, RK. Never. And I was certainly never going to walk away from us.”

Fuck. I guess I haven’t looked at it from her point of view very much. “I walked away.”

“You walked away.” Her frown is so deep it hurts my heart.

“I’m sorry. I don’t even know why—”

“Shh,” she says again. “Later.”

Her hand slides up and down my cock as she looks me in the eyes. It’s a very intimate moment. Probably the most intimate moment I’ve had in years.

“Rinse,” I say.

Missy turns away, and I swear, I know what she’s feeling. Every time she does that I think she will never turn back to me again. I hate when she turns away. I watch as she rinses the shampoo out of her hair. The water streams down her face like that waterfall where we had our first kiss.

She’s not Melanie. How could I ever think she was Melanie?

“Can I make you dinner tonight? Before the show?” she asks when she turns back. The relief that she’s still here is real, as irrational as it is.

“Dinner?” I say, trying to wrap my head around the change of subject. I was about to attack her, lift her up, press her back against the wall, and fuck the shit out of her and now she’s talking about dinner.

“Yeah. Do you still like lemon pasta? Like your mom used to make?”

“Jesus,” I say. “The angel hair with the white wine sauce? I haven’t thought about that in years.”

“Yeah. Remember when I made that for you on your seventeenth birthday?” She laughs. It was a fun night. A really fun night. The kind of fun you only have with the girl of your dreams before you turn to drugs and need alcohol and sex to force the fun. “I fucked it all up,” she says through a giggle.

I grin as I picture her attempt to cook me something. “I’m not sure how anyone can fuck that recipe up, but yeah. You did.” She bites her lip and I almost die. “It was perfect though. Because you made it. And you made it special for me.”

“You ate every bite.”

“There was no chance in hell I wouldn’t, Missy. Not after you went to all that trouble. So sure. I’m not gonna complain about a trip down memory lane with you tonight.”

“Good,” Missy sighs. “Good.” And then she grabs the conditioner and the possibility of sex fades away.

I’m actually glad it fades. I’m glad she changed the subject. Turned us in a different direction. I know I hate-fucked her when I first got back into town, and I’m sorry about that. I’d like to take it back and get a do-over. I’d rather wait. Like we did when we were kids. I’d rather wait until we know for sure this is real, and special, and maybe even permanent.I’d like to take my time with Melissa Vetti.

5StarMichel’s Review

What do you get when you add J.A. Huss + a smoking hot rockstar + an evil twin + dead bandmates + a once in a lifetime love?  It’s not a difficult equation, the answer is quite simple… a fantastic book…Rock: A Rock Star Romantic Suspense by J. A. Huss.

J. A. Huss is known for writing romance with a twist.  Her characters, plots, and delivery are complex and unpredictable.  She weaves a tale with mystery and intrigue that sneaks up on the reader because they become involved in the relationship between the main characters.  The building of the relationship, the intense chemistry, and the erotic scenes keep the readers glued to the pages.  And then suddenly the underlying plot takes the characters and readers hostage.  It’s impossible to put the book down.  J. A. Huss outdid herself with Rock.  This book had multiple twists and turns.  It was hard to predict who was the hero and who was the villain.  The relationship between Rock and Missy was even more unpredictable because it was never clear who they really were.  As the story evolved and the revelations were made, it added more intrigue.

Rock , aka Rowen Kyle Saber, is more than a rock star.  He is a talented musician, superstar, small town boy, and simple man.  His road to stardom was an accidental effect of his troubled younger life.  He fled from his small hometown in Colorado after a tragic accident that caused the death of his girlfriend.  He never intended to return but fate had other plans.  Another accident that caused the death of bandmates has forced him to return home.  This time the evidence has implicated him as the one responsible for their deaths.  He’s forced to face his past, his losses, and his questionable future.  He has to face his dead girlfriend’s evil twin sister and the brother he turned his back on.  He is also forced to start dealing with the issues that led him to becoming a drug addict.  He’s still trying to recover from his injuries and grief from losing his bandmates.  He’s a mess, he’s blacking out and losing considerable amounts of time.  The people he’s depending on to help him seem to be turning their backs on him.  But that’s only his perception of what is happening, in reality it’s a completely different story.  Now he has to figure out the truth about the Rock, R.K., and Rowen Kyle Saber.  Three separate men encased in one body with one reality. Who is he and what has he done?

Read this book.  It’s guaranteed to keep you glued to the pages.  J. A. Huss has delivered a chart topping hit book!

Spotlight Tour + Giveaway: Gods Of The Highlands by Bambi Lynn

Gods of the Highlands SeriesLucan_600x900 (1)

Neala Comyn, wife of a powerful laird, wants to end the pain and suffering of an abusive marriage. She is a woman without hope, believing God has forsaken her. When she is kidnapped by a rival laird who claims to be a god himself, her faith is further shaken. Could Lucan Munro be the salvation she has prayed for? Or will her sins condemn her to eternal damnation?

Lucan Munro, has the power of a Celtic god. He can conjure his heart’s desire from thin air. But can he save the woman he loves from a demon hell-bent on claiming her soul?

Excerpt

From his vantage spot he saw her tiny bare feet touch the floor next to the bed. He crawled backwards in the opposite direction. She rushed across to the table beneath the window and began an onslaught of such proportions, he wondered again where she found the strength. He opened his mouth to speak, but thinking better of it, clamped it shut again. She appeared completely without reason, lost in her heated rampage. Perhaps it was best to let her calm down on her own.

“Ye gorbellied,” she threw the box containing his seal, “toad-spotted,” then the ink vial, “malt worm!” ending with the empty food tray that crashed against the tub only a breath away from his head.

Lucan had had enough. He was laird of the mighty clan Munro. He was not about to let some slip of a lass make him cower in his own chamber. He rose from his hiding place wrapping the plaid around his waist as he did so. “Now see here -”

They both jumped when the door burst open. Lucan turned to see Evie standing at the threshold, her mouth open wide in surprise. “Get out,” he bellowed at her. The maid barely had the door closed before the clay pitcher Neala had been about to throw at him crashed against it, shattering to pieces.

He took the opportunity of her distraction to close the distance between them. He wrapped his arms around her, trapping hers against her body. She struggled like a cat who’d fallen into the burn, cussing and spitting insults at him that would rival the most battle-hardened soldier.

“Where did ye learn such language?” Lucan fought to control her, ignoring the effect her squirming against him was having on every inch of his body. He had not been with a woman since well before he had brought Neala here, and his cock responded eagerly to the pressure against it.

He fought the sensation, recognizing the debauchery in being aroused by a woman so obviously without her wits. He twisted away, clenching his thighs and trying to fill his mind with thoughts of his long-dead mother, the repairs that need to be done to the kitchens, his prized mare that was on the verge of birthing a new foal. Anything to take his mind off the increasing hardening of his body. If only she would stop writhing against him. He fairly growled when she deliberately pressed her thigh against his groin. He tried to shield himself, turning his body at an angle, but it was no use.

“What’s yer pleasure t’night, m’laird? D’ye want me to fight ye?” She pressed harder, painfully against him. “D’ye want me to play the whore?” She reached between them and boldly grasped his erection in her hand, squeezing it through his plaid and glaring up at him with the look of the devil. “Is this what ye want?”

Lucan clamped his teeth together, grinding them until an ache developed in his jaw. He would have thought her a strumpet of some renown if not for the tear that trickled from the corner of her eye and slid down her cheek. His grip around her waist softened. He reached one hand up to her face, wiping the single tear away with the pad of his thumb. The gesture only brought more tears. His heart ripped in half.

“Why did ye save me?” Her cracked voice was barely more than a whisper. “Another month and I would have been dead.” She closed her eyes and went limp in his arms.

Tanis_600x900

Tanis:  Gods of the Highlands Series Book 3

Tanis Cleary, laird of a small Highland clan, wants to protect what’s left of his family from the pagan god who hunts them. But even with his colossal strength, fed by the unholy blood in his veins, he cannot do it alone. His only ally is an insatiable angel with a chip on her shoulder. Will he desert his clan to follow the only woman who can save him from eternal damnation?

Kiah is an angel of God, tasked with guarding one of His most sacred vessels. Like any woman desperate to win her Father’s approval, Kiah will stop at nothing to succeed in her mission. Distracted by the lure of a man more compelling than any other, Kiah soon finds herself battling the fires of hell, her very existence in jeopardy.

Excerpt

When Tanis spoke, Kiah let his voice wash over her. She nearly wept, so great was her yearning to feel the vibration of its rich tone, accented with the lilt common among these Highlanders.

The only other time she had heard him speak, he had been bellowing at her. She could imagine what he would sound like speaking of love play in that sultry voice, whispering her name, expressing his pleasure.

When the others left, Tanis stayed behind. He walked back to stand by the bed, his expression unreadable as he stared down at the woman ensconced there. He was the finest example of man Kiah had ever seen. Tall and broad-shouldered, his body was sculpted from years of fighting and living, and from the influence of pagan blood in his ancestry. He wore his raven-colored hair long and wild. He had rich brown eyes, windows to his spirit she longed to stare into. He was the kind of man who did everything with a fierceness that made one long to feed on that essence. He was irresistible.

And dangerous. He had an allure that called to her, despite better judgment. He was proud and arrogant, every bit her equal. She grudgingly admitted that Tanis was not as weak as most humans. She recognized that.

He was the kind of man Kiah avoided.

I ken yer spirit, lass. Kiah drew up when he spoke directly to her.

Have ye come to sate yer desire for me? She was as tempted as if Lucifer himself was standing there. Her wings twitched, anticipating her transformation. But she resisted, easier for her than these weak humans.

Do ye have sin on yer mind? The urge was almost more than she could hold back. She reminded herself of her recent failure. She was in enough trouble.

Perhaps ye are afraid of me? ’Tis no surprise. Most lasses flee in fear after just a few days in my bed. Why should ye be any different?

She could only resist so much. She drifted around the bed and pressed against him. He was tall and wide. She imagined herself in human form, laying her head against that broad back, wrapping her arms around him.

Show yourself and learn the true meaning of sin. Kiah moved away from him, prepared to change into her human form and give in to temptation.

Sirona Teaser 1

Excerpt

Alone with her patient, Sirona relaxed a little. She crept closer to the bed and leaned over him. Rhain Comyn was by far the handsomest man she had ever seen. Long, thick lashes, dark as soot, laid against cheekbones made more prominent by whatever ailed him. She wondered if behind that facade, softened in slumber, was a cruel bully, equally revolting as his brothers.

Without remorse she realized that if Fergus were lying there instead of Rhain, she would not hesitate to let him die. She was already damned to Hell, was she not? Everything about her existence went against God. Saint Peter would never allow such an abomination past the gate. She tried to deny the powers that marked her a pagan, in the hopes He would not punish her for her tainted blood. But in the end, she could no more ignore her gift than she could refuse breathing.

What if she defied God and saved this man, only to discover he was the spawn of another sort, evil and deviant, and she had unleashed him on the world? Was it worth the risk for the promise that she would be returned to her home? Could she trust that promise?

Sirona eased down on the bed. She took one of his gaunt hands in both of hers. Warmth spread through her at the touch. Her heart clenched at the possibility she could not save him. She closed her eyes and let her thoughts fall away, focusing all her energy on the sensation of his skin against hers.

His hand was limp in hers, cold and frail. She sensed his longing for death, born of a sorrow so deep it seeped into his bones. Tears clogged her throat as she was overcome with profound despair.

What had happened to him to cause such anguish and torment, such hopelessness? She tried to recall what little she knew of the clan. The Munro had been feuding with them for generations, but it wasn’t until the laird, Gregor Munro, had been killed, that the hatred and fighting had escalated. Now there were skirmishes every few months.

Comyn men were renowned for their ruthless brutality. Legend stated they came out of the womb filled with bloodlust and savagery. Comyn women seldom survived childbirth. The laird’s own sons had been born to three different wives.

Despite the frailty of their women, the boys grew strong and healthy, populating the clan with a merciless fighting force. Their only weakness was their small number.

Rhain, the youngest of the laird’s sons, was rumored to be the most ruthless of them all. He had hired himself out as a mercenary, it was said because there weren’t enough Munros to quench his thirst for blood.

Sirona shuddered and opened her eyes. Her heart tripped when she found him staring at the rafters over the bed. She dropped his hand as if it burned and shot to her feet. She took several deep breaths as she watched him. When he did not move, indeed he did not even blink, she inched closer. “Can you hear me?” she whispered.

No reaction.

She pressed the backs of her fingers against his cheek. No fever. With one finger beneath his chin, she gently turned his face toward her until she was in his line of vision. She stared into rich brown eyes, windows to a deep, dark abyss that promised endless suffering.

“Rhain?”

His eyes focused on hers when she whispered his name.

“I’m here to help. Can ye speak to me?” His eyes wavered back and forth between hers. “D’ye want something to drink?” She surveyed the room for the first time. Near the hearth stood a table, laden with food and drink. She crossed to it and poured a cup of water from a flagon.

Returning to the bed, she sat next to him and slid her free arm beneath his shoulders. With her help, he sat up enough to the drink from the cup she held for him. When he’d drained it, he fell back, what little strength he had depleted from the exertion.

Sirona cradled him against her. She brushed silky locks from his face and spoke to him in a soothing voice. “I need you to tell me what you feel. Do ye ache?” He was weak, but did not seem to be in any pain. She cast relief over him just the same. “Can ye speak to me?” she asked again.

He seemed to be trying to say something, but his voice was so faint, she had to lean close to hear him. His breath was warm on her ear, but sent a cold shiver down her spine.

“Let-me-die.”

Camulus_600x900

Camulus:  Gods of the Highlands Series Book 1

Camulus Vass wants a simple life, absent the power and responsibility that can consume a man. But being laird of a clan as large as the Munro does not offer such luxury. Always under the domineering heel of his uncle, Cam has allowed himself to become a pawn. But the arrival of a mysterious newcomer awakens a beast within him that will not be tamed.

Màili has been given the task of rooting out the spawn of an ancient god. It’s the only way to take her revenge against the man who betrayed her. But getting what she wants means taking the life of the man she loves. Will her hunger for a mortal man wreak further havoc on her already bleak future?

FIRST KISS:

Cam pulled the linen from his shaggy, ebony mane and locked his rich brown eyes, glistening with excitement, on hers. He stepped out of the tub, dropping the linen to the floor. “Come to me, woman.” Cam wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against him. He claimed her mouth with his, prying her lips open and invading her with the sweetest tasting tongue she had ever known.

Màili lost herself in that kiss. The power of it sent jolts of pleasure to every pore in her body. She tingled all over, her senses melding until she could no longer remember anything other than the man before her. She kissed him back with all the self–pity of a woman who had been betrayed by love and yearned to get even a piece of herself back.

The power of her desire for Cam surprised her. Màili was certainly no stranger to the ways of men and women. She had learned a lot over the centuries. This was the first time she had found anyone she thought could teach her anything. A nagging possibility tickled the edge of her thoughts, but she pushed it aside.

Màili dragged her mouth from his, nibbling along his jaw and across the pulse at his throat. With her hands on his chest, she urged him back toward the bed all the while trailing her lips, her tongue down his body. He tasted like nectar and all Màili could think of was more, more, more.

“Sebastian says touch yourself.” His husky
voice brushed the side of my neck, sending chills to my toes. “Slide your
fingers into your sweet pussy so I can suck them clean.”
I melted beneath him, my thighs widening
automatically as my wandering fingers rolled over my clit. Sensation moved over
me and my body tensed. Sebastian was the king of foreplay, leaving me wet and
ready—throbbing so hard I thought I’d die if he didn’t put me out of my misery.
“Please, Sebastian. Give me what I want,” I
begged.
All this time together and he was still able
to make me beg for his touch—make me breathe his name until he soothed the sweet
ache he’d built between my thighs.
“Ah, come on, Mrs. Black. How do you expect
me to hold out when you beg so sweetly?”
“I’m not Mrs. Black yet, Mr. Black,” I teased.
Sebastian had officially proposed the night I
graduated from Tech with my Associate’s
in Criminal Justice. He’d offered to pay for an expensive four-year college, but I was determined to do
things on my own, which meant Tech it was. And with my past and the many years
I’d spent needing justice for the murder of my parents, criminal justice made
sense.
His proposal was unexpected since everyone
who knew Sebastian knew he wasn’t the marrying kind. Even I was shocked when he
dropped to one knee in the middle of our bedroom and asked me to spend the rest
of my life with him.
I’d had some champagne at the celebratory
dinner after my graduation ceremony, and I wasn’t sure I’d heard him correctly,
but then he looked up at me with pure adoration and I knew—I just knew—I never
wanted to be away from him. I’d never love another man the way I loved
Sebastian, and no other man would ever love me the way he did.
I said yes, and we spent the rest of the
night making love.
It was beautiful.
Perfection.
Everything Sebastian embodied.
That was a week ago, and his look of
adoration still lingered in his expression, but as he looked down at me, it was a raw,
unadulterated need that filled his clear blue eyes.
His grin was dark and dangerous as he pulled
my fingers from my trembling body and sucked the glistening moisture from their
length—his tongue flicking at the tips. Desire struck me deep and I bit into my
lip to control the animalistic growl that crawled up the back of my throat.
Dark, damp hair fell over his scorching blue
eyes and I brushed it away with my free hand, losing my fingers in its thickness.
My hips lifted from the plush mattress, begging on their own for his length.
He chuckled, the sound rich and exotic as it rumbled across my skin.
“Official or not, you’re mine, Rosslyn.
You’ve been mine since the first time I laid eyes on you. Do you understand?”
His thick cock massaged my entrance soothing
the ache briefly as he teased me in return. With his skin beneath my nails, I
dug my fingers deep into his flesh as I tried to pull his body into mine.
“Now, Sebastian. I need you,” I breathed.
“No, beautiful, not until you give me what I
want.”
I knew what he wanted, but like him, I liked
to make him beg for it. It was why we worked.
Push and pull.
Give and take.
I was able to hook Sebastian Black because I
wasn’t afraid to fight him—to make him quake with want, quiver with need. We
drove each other crazy, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Still, I
pressed my lips together, holding out for a little longer.
He pushed against me harder, my insides
burning for his intrusion.
“Fuck,” he rumbled. “Say it, Rosslyn. Tell me
what I want to hear and I’ll give you what you want. I’ll give you what you
want all night long, baby.”
I lifted my hips to draw him in, but he
pulled back letting the cool air rush between us.
“Give me what I want and I’ll tell you what
you want to hear,” I countered.
Again, he snickered; the evident strain in
his voice letting me know I was close to winning.
His body was stiff above me, his biceps trembling from holding up his weight and his
hips shaking against my core. I could see the defeat in his eyes as he licked
his lips and his breath quickened. He was incredibly sexy all the time, but
nothing beat Sebastian in the heat of the moment—the
seconds before he climbed into me and set both our bodies aflame.
And then he shifted and filled me.
Deep.
Thick.
Stretching me so completely I mewed in
appreciation.
He closed his eyes against the pleasure, and
we sighed in unison at the sweet relief.
“Is this what you want, dirty girl? You want
my cock deep inside you?” His breathing was erratic; his eyes steeled in
preparation for taking me hard and fast the way I liked it.
I nodded as I internally celebrated winning
our little game of tug-of-war.
“Say it, Rosslyn.” He pulled back and pushed
into me—hard and swift—deeper and deeper with each thrust. It felt amazing.
He felt wonderful.
“Fuck, you feel incredible,” he growled. “I’ll
never get over how perfect you feel. So tight—so wet—wrapped around my cock.”
My toes dug into the mattress as desire worked its way from my hips and into my
stomach. I loved the way Sebastian talked to me—especially during sex. It was
an aphrodisiac for my senses, and it made me feel powerful. It made me feel
wanted—like he could never get enough of me, which was good considering I knew
I’d never get enough of him.
“Say it, baby. I need to hear it.”
I loved it when he begged—the strain in his
voice fulfilling me emotionally while his body pleasured me physically. The
tension in his voice thick and ready to
snap. He wanted me—he needed me to soothe his ache the way he was soothing
mine.
It was physical, but it was also mental.
Emotionally, Sebastian needed more. He needed
me to reach inside his mind and soothe him in a way I couldn’t with my body.
Spiritually, he needed depth. To know that I was latching on to him and never
leaving his side. All his life he’d been left. Put on the side of the road and
never collected. I’d always known how broken he was, but I also knew it was my
job to keep him together.
I opened my mouth to say the words he longed
to hear, to give him the relief he was giving me, but he plowed into my center
once more and the words melted on my tongue leaving a pleasured moan in their
stead.
“Say it, Rosslyn,” he demanded.
He was getting louder, his body
stronger—faster—ruthless.
I was lost in a sea of baby blue as he stared
down at me with determination. Sweat dotted his brow, threatening to drip onto
my flaming skin. I dug my fingernails into the flesh of his firm ass, making
him growl. He quickened, taking my body with passion—slamming into me—pushing
me to the head of the bed and to the brink of release.
“I can’t … I can’t say it,” I stuttered.
Confusion swept over his expression. “Why
not?”
And then I smiled because I knew I’d
officially won our little game. It wasn’t often that I won in our little game
of wits and foreplay, but I’d held out regardless of the intensity of his
movements—the passion in his eyes—the pleasure that flowed through me so
completely.
I’d won.
“Because you didn’t say Sebastian says.”

Laney POV

I tiptoed into the living room to get a couple of cookies from the kitchen. I noticed that Ash had left the drapes open and it gave me a chance to study his beautiful face, younger and softer in sleep.

But he wasn’t asleep, and I froze.

He was stretched out on the couch, his bare chest almost luminous in the glow of the street lamps.

One hand rested on his chest, but the other…

The thin sheet was pushed down to his thighs and he was stroking himself. His long fingers that had massaged me so thoroughly earlier in the evening were firmly grasping his hard dick and working it up and down, his thumb sweeping over the wide head. His eyes were closed, his mouth slightly open, and his breaths were quick and shallow.

I knew I should turn around and go, leaving him alone in this very private moment, not watching like some creepy voyeur. But I couldn’t. I was mesmerized by the sight of him pleasuring himself, his hand moving faster, his firm chest rising and falling rapidly.

He muttered something in his own language, and I could tell by the tightness in his face that he was close. And God, if it wasn’t the hottest thing I’d ever seen.

6458246For as long as I can remember, I wanted to write. Perhaps it was growing up in a village well known for its mystery and folklore, which sparked my imagination as a child.

I enjoy writing in several different genres, and I’ve just published my first romcom, ‘Dazzled’.

All my books have a little me in them, and I’m inspired by the personal stories of those around me. It’s often from a simple discussion overheard in the train (‘Exposure’), in a café, or in the street, where ideas for characters or scenes come to me.

I fell in love with both Sam (‘The New Samurai’) and the eponymous Sebastian in ‘The Education of Sebastian’ and the sequel ‘The Education of Caroline’, and missed them desperately once I’d finished their stories. I love writing dialogue and always try to include touches of humour in the most poignant stories.

Whether you like adult romance novels, new or young adult writing, thrillers, or fantasy, I hope you’ll enjoy the journey through my stories.
