The Carolina Cold Fury hockey team is back in full force. They are not only shredding the ice in the play offs, they are also shredding our hearts one player at a time. Sawyer Bennett has created a team of men that are melting the readers hearts and leaving them wanting more.
Lucas Fournier is thrilled to be a part of the Carolina Cold Fury team for many reasons, not only is he playing on the ice with his brother Max, he is also part of an exceptional hockey organization that believes in the importance of family as well as winning the cup. It’s a win win situation. Being one of the few single guys on the team is also a bonus, it’s a guarantee of more available ladies to choose from. He’s a single guy and has no intentions of settling down anytime soon. Let all the other players enjoy their family time while he reaps of the rewards as a single player. It all begins to change when he meets Stephanie Frazier at a museum benefit. He’s thrilled that he is available and that she wants a one night hook up with no strings attached. Best night of his life. Best sex he’s ever had. The sex was so good that he shredded the condom like he shreds the ice. He’s not overly concerned that the condom broke because Stephanie has the same mantra he has and is going to take the morning after pill. All is good and he wouldn’t mind another hook up with Stephanie but knows it will never happen. As I said all is good until Stephanie shows up one month later to inform him the morning after pill didn’t work and she’s definitely pregnant. Neither one of them wants to settle down. Neither one of them planned on becoming parents at this stage in their lives. Neither one of them is sure how to handle the situation but they are both sure they want this surprise baby.
Stephanie Frazier is a free spirit. She has focused on building her career and has no intentions of ever settling down. She’s happy with her single life and is fine with one night hook ups. Hooking up with Lucas Fournier was fun, thrilling, and the best sex she ever had. It was a night to remember and a night to never repeat. The morning after pill should of taken care of the condom mishap. As fate would have it, she’s the one in a few that the pill doesn’t work on. Max and Stephanie begin as tentative friends trying to maneuver their way into the parenting role. Their sexual chemistry is through the roof and they both have a healthy sexual appetite. The problem is neither one of them knows how to be in a relationship. As time goes by Lucas wants more than Stephanie is willing to give. Stephanie is frightened of all the emotions being around Lucas brings into her life. She’s pushing Lucas away and Lucas is pushing harder.
