It’s up to Archer, Gage, and Matt to make sure this day goes off without a hitch. But between brides and babies, there’s the not-so-little issue of the million-dollar bet to attend to. EXCERPT:

I’m going to have a baby,” Ivy declares as she stops directly in front of me. Well, her belly stopped directly in front of me, the rest of her soon follows.

Yes, indeed, my wife is definitely going to have a baby. Soon.

I’m getting ready—staring at the mirror as I mess with my tie, making sure it’s perfect—when she approaches me. I shoot her a grin, feeling good, feeling on top of my game. Life couldn’t get any better, you know? We’re celebrating today and with good reason.

“I know, sexy mama.” I turn away from the mirror and wink at her. “Trust me, I haven’t forgotten that I’m the one who knocked you up.”

She stares at me, no reaction to my wink or my words. She usually slaps my ass and kisses me. Says something sarcastic at the very least. But I’m getting nothing. And it’s kind of disconcerting. “Archer. I’m dead serious. I’m going to have the baby.”

“I know, babe. And I can’t freaking wait.” I study her, noticing that she looks a little pale and her pupils are dilated. Hmm. “You feeling okay?”

Rolling her eyes, she rests her hand on top of her protruding stomach, rubbing it absently. Then not so absently. As in, she’s clutching her belly like she’s in pain. “I’m in—” She sucks in a harsh breath, holding it for a few seconds. “—labor, damn it.”

Four Years Later

We’re so excited that Monica Murphy’s FOUR YEARS LATER is finally here! FOUR YEARS LATER is a New Adult contemporary romance and is the final book in the Drew+Fable Series! Check out the excerpt below, then enter to win the fabulous prizes she has for you!

FOUR YEARS LATER Synopsis:

New Adult bestselling author Monica Murphy winds up her sensational series with this sexy story of two college kids with nothing in common but a bunch of baggage and a burning attraction.

Over. That about sums up everything in my life. Suspended from my college football team and forced to cut back my hours at The District bar because of my crappy grades, I can’t keep turning to my sister, Fable, and her pro-football playing husband, Drew, to bail me out. I just can’t seem to find my own way. Weed and sex are irresistible temptations—and it’s messed up that I secretly hand over money to our junkie mom. A tutor is the last thing I want right now—until I get a look at her.

Chelsea is not my type at all. She’s smart and totally shy. I’m pretty sure she’s even a virgin. But when she gives me the once over with those piercing blue eyes, I’m really over. But in a different way. I won’t deny her ass is killer, but it’s her brain and the way she seems to crave love—like no one’s ever given her any—that make me want her more than any girl I’ve ever met. But what would someone as seemingly together as her ever see in a screwed up guy like me?

EXCERPT

“Anything else?” I ask them minutes later as I drop the check on their table.

Owen slaps his hand against the piece of paper and drags it toward him. “I think that’s it.”

“Great.” I smile but it feels brittle. “I can be your cashier or you can pay at the register.”

“Hey, what else can you be for us, huh?” one of Owen’s friends ask, making the other one laugh.

My cheeks are hot again and my mouth is open. I’m gaping at them like a dying fish and thankfully Owen rushes to my defense. “Shut the hell up, Des.” He glances up at me, all traces of the buzzed foolish boy who first walked in here gone. “He’s drunk. He doesn’t know what he’s saying.”

“I know exactly what I’m saying,” drunken Des mumbles, clamping his lips shut when Owen shoots him a deathly stare.

“It’s all right,” I say, backing away from them slowly. “Take your time.”

I turn to flee from their table when I hear someone slide out of the booth, strong fingers curling around my upper arm and stopping me from leaving. He’s standing directly behind me, the warmth from his body seeping into mine and I go completely still. Willing myself not to react, not to say something stupid and embarrass myself.

Look what he’s doing to me just by touching my arm. This sort of thing doesn’t happen to me. I don’t care about boys. I’ve been kissed a measly three times in my life, once by Cody Curtis the tongue thruster and he definitely doesn’t count.

So twice. Twice I’ve been kissed and I’m a virgin. A freaking virgin. Owen Maguire has player written all over him. I’m nothing to him.

So why is he touching me? Talking to me in that husky low murmur of his that slides over me like slow, warm honey?

“…need to talk to you. About this tutoring thing,” he’s saying and I wrench myself out of his grip, irritated that I didn’t pay attention to what he said at first.

“Just meet me Monday afternoon as scheduled and we should be good to go.” I turn to face him, a fake smile plastered to my face and he stares at my lips for a long, breath stealing second before he finally lifts those too pretty green eyes up to meet mine.

My lips are tingling like he actually kissed them. God.

“I don’t even know your name,” he murmurs.

My Review

bigstock_Five_stars_Mesh_13933472

Oh Owen how I love you…Monica delivers a innocent yet deliciously sexy read.  I am a huge Drew and Fable fan and was intrigued to see what Monica was going to to with Owen.  Owen was such a typical teen dealing with a crap situation the best he knew how.  Smoking weed and getting into trouble was the way that Owen was dealing with his mother and her addiction.  All Owen ever wanted was his mothers love and so he enabled her addiction.  The stress of taking care of his mother and hiding it from Fable began to take its toll on his grades.  Bad grades equals no football.  Football is Owen’s future.  He loves it and is talented enough to go all the way.  So it looks like Owen is going to need a tutor.

Chelsea is bright and is also escaping her past.  She is working several jobs to put herself through school with one of them being a tutor.  When Chelsea is given the task to tutor Owen Maguire everything goes to hell and a hand basket.  Once he steps in the room she is at a loss for words.  She loses the skills to speak the English language and she is supposed to tutor him in it.  However, she is not the only one who is affected.  Owen isn’t blind and Chelsea is beautiful but untouchable.

He showed up on time to please me.  And guess what?  It does please me, more that it should.  I’m such and easy target.  “I fell asleep”.

“Clearly.”

I rub my forehead.  “I don’t usually do that”.

“Maybe you should more often.  I think you were sleeping pretty hard.”

Wariness fills me and I stiffen my spine.  “Why do you say that?”

“Well, you have crease marks on your cheek.”  He reaches out and traces them, his fingertips so light on my skin a shiver steals through me.

I can feel his warmth and smell his intoxicating scent like smoke and spice, fresh air and crisp apples.  He smells like fall.  Fall has always been my favorite season.

Monica takes a character that I really could care less about and makes me fall hard for him.  She is a masterful character developer.   She created a beautiful love story with Four Years Later that has stayed with me.  The love that Owen feels for Chelsea is amazingly beautiful, and the kind that will last a lifetime. Chelsea and Owen help each other face their demons.  They find that together they can conquer anything.  I was also excited to see that Fable and Owen’s mother gets whats coming to her.    Maybe if we get lucky Monica will write a Chelsea and Owen Forever Novella someday.  I don’t know if I will ever get enough of these characters.

If you loved Drew and Fable as much as I did then you will love Four Years Later.  Plus you get to see more of Autumn and she is so friggin cute!

Three Broken Promises by Monica Murphy Blog Tour, Review + **Giveaway**

TBP Blog Tour BannerThreeBrokenPromises new couple REDe90f2-synopsisBreakout New Adult sensation Monica Murphy returns with a hot new contemporary romance—a heartfelt story of second chances, forgiveness, and redemption.

Commitment. That’s what I really want from Colin. Ever since my brother, Danny, died in Iraq, Colin’s done so much to help me, including giving me a job at his popular restaurant so I can leave my crappy waitressing job at the strip joint. But lying in bed with him every night to comfort him from his horrible nightmares isn’t enough anymore. I know he feels guilty about Danny’s death, about not going to Iraq, but I can’t keep living this double life.

I love him desperately, but he’s got so many demons, and if he can’t open up to me now, then he’ll never be the real partner I need him to be. I gave him a month, and now I’m out of here. If he truly loves me like he says, he knows where to find me.

3 Stars

Let me get started by saying I am a huge fan of Monica Murphy and the Drew and Fable epic saga.  I also adore her Billionaire Bachelor’s Club Series. Because I am a huge fan, it was really difficult to give this book a three star review.  I love Monica and it took me several days to develop the courage to write this review.

Jen and Colin have been a part of each others lives for several years.  Colin was Jen’s brother Danny’s best friend.  They were like brothers and had planned their future together.  They were both going to join the military together but Danny got overzealous and went and signed up before Colin had a chance to stop him and ask him to join in him in opening a restaurant instead.  Danny dies in combat and it destroys Colin.  Colin blames himself for not talking to Danny sooner and lives with the guilt and nightmares.  He promised Danny when he left for war that he would take care of his little sister Jen.

Jen is a hot mess.  Her parents forgot about her after Danny died and so she runs away with no thought of how she will take care of herself.  She finds herself stripping at a club and providing extra favors to men in the backseat of her car just so she can survive.  When Colin finds out he is livid.  He is her knight in shining armor when he rescues her, moves her into his home, and gives her a job at his restaurant.

The problem is that Jen wants more from Colin.  She wants his heart, body, and soul.  Colin is not willing to give it to her.  This is where the story gets really angsty and the excuses that Colin gives are not substantial enough that they should stay apart.  Jen then jumps again without thinking ahead. This is where I felt like the characters started falling apart.  Jen is super naive and I think that is why I had such a hard time connecting with her character, and Colin is very wishy washy which made it hard for me to like him.  This story just did not do it for me because I could not identify and connect with the characters.

Overall Three Broken Promises was a good read.  If you are a huge fan of Drew and Fable like I am then Three Broken Promises is worth reading just to get the chance to see them again.  They are the voice of reason in this story.   I cannot wait until Drew and Fable Forever comes out.

 My Review

bigstock_Five_stars_Mesh_13933472

Holy Hotness!!!  The chemistry between Gage and Marina is smoldering.  This book had me fanning myself and my girl parts doing the happy dance.

Marina  Knight feels like her family sees her as a lost cause. They handed her the family’s bakery to run because they figured that she could not screw that up.  She has worked really hard to try to prove to them that she is a valuable asset to the family business. When her families empire starts to crumble, all of the hard work that she has put into the bakery may no longer matter.  She decides that she needs to market her business and goes to a networking event to meet possible business owners that might be willing to add some of her baked goods to their menus. And of course, as fate would have it, she crosses paths with the very man that might end up stealing her future.

Gage Emerson is here on a mission.  Find a member of the Molina family and convince them to sell him the property where Autumn Harvest currently resides.  He knows he can buy the property fix it up and sell or lease it and make a killing.  Then he sees her and his plan gets put on the back burner.   She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.  He feels butterflies in his stomach as he approaches her.  Almost immediately sparks begin to fly and he finds himself all choked up and struggling to speak to her.  And before he knows it he has insulted her and she is storming out the door.

I love the banter between Marina and Gage.  It seems as if neither of them has a filter when they are around one another.  Especially Gage.  Which is hysterically funny.  I really enjoyed the ass Gage made of himself time and time again.  Marina is perfect for Gage because she is Sassy Sicilian who calls him out on the rug.

“I am not forcing you into anything, Marina,” he says softly, his eyes glowing as they drink me in.  “Unless…you like it that way.”

Well, holy shit.  The man needs duct tape wound around his mouth about twenty times. He says the worst things ever.  “Did you really just say that?”

“Did I really just say what?”

“Is it just me you say idiotic, sexist, disgusting things to, or do you talk this way to all the women you encounter?”

He cracks his eyes open.  “Did I just really say that out loud?”

“Yep,” I confirm, enjoying his absolute misery.

This is just a taste of the witty banter between Gage and Molina that had me turning the pages until I finished this book at midnight last night.  I have never laughed so hard and at the same time been so turned on.  Gage can charm a girl out of her panties with just one heated look.

If you like hot headed Sicilian and man who cannot keep his foot out of his mouth, you will love Torn.
