Judging a Book by it’s cover: The cover is sweet, soft, and inviting – a bit misleading when considering the drama and angst inside. The synopsis is a little busy and chaotic, but captures the general essence of the book.
Looking Deeper: The beginning starts out with a bang… pun intended. There are several important characters and key factors introduced within the first chapter, so make sure you’re paying attention -oh, and, keep your hand and feet inside the car at all times – it promises to be a crazy ride! It’s hard to break this one down purely by Lead male, lead female, and secondary characters because of the relationship dynamics. We know Michael *is* the lead male, but from there, it’s mix-and-match drama for a bit. Unrequited lust, drama, angst, chaos, jealousy, spite… oh, it’s got it all. The characters are all unique in personality and attitude, which provides some entertaining moments. Dialogue and interaction range from a bit awkward to natural and believable. The plot is solid with a steady and progressive flow. As you could imagine when a several love triangles intertwine, there is plenty of conflict. Add in there the parental and sibling drama and it’s truly a drama of epic proportions, but the conflicts are handled in realistic, age-appropriate ways. There was not a lot of predictability. The conclusion was rather solid, but the epilogue felt like an afterthought without a significant, defined purpose. Overall, it was a good read for those who enjoy the angsty, dramatic plots of the NA genre.

Ray grabs my wrists and pins them to the mat over my head, his body angled over me. My breath catches in my throat, and I steel myself for the memories, the black rush, the heart-pounding fear, but it doesn’t come. Instead, a red haze settles over my vision, and I press my lips together and buck my hips, throwing him slightly forward.

Bad plan. Now his groin is only inches away from my face. He’s still wearing his jeans, which means that bulge isn’t a cup.

“Ray…”
His face softens. “I hurt you.”
“Yes, you hurt me. Keeping secrets hurts me. It makes me feel like you don’t respect me. And it makes me feel like I can’t trust you. So maybe you could return to your proper seat now. Tray table up.”

He shifts down, settling his weight over my hips, but he doesn’t release my hands. “I hurt you. Means you care.”

I swallow hard and meet his gaze. “You hurting me means I was being stupid. Things were going where I didn’t want them to go. Now I’ve had a wake-up call. You have secrets you can’t share. You need to protect your secrets. I need to be with someone I can trust, and I need to stand on my own two feet. It’s just not going to work between us.”

His gaze darkens, searing me to the core. “You want to be done? Or are you scared and trying to push me away?”

The air shifts between us, electrifying, tightening my nipples and heating my blood. I am hyperaware of his thighs tucked against my hips, carrying most of his weight as he sits astride me in a dominant MMA position. My wrists, hot under his palms, press against the cool mat, restrained in a way I could never have imagined allowing them to be restrained. My chest rises and falls twice for every one of Ray’s breaths, and my core tightens. The innuendo isn’t lost on me. God, yes. I want to be done in the carnal sense of the word. But only by Ray. And I don’t really want to let him go.

“I don’t want to lose you.”

Ray’s hands tighten on my wrists, and he leans down and brushes a kiss over my lips. “I don’t want to lose you either, but I live in a dangerous world. Finally, he releases my hands but I don’t move. Heat sweeps through my belly. I feel both vulnerable and curiously safe lying beneath him. My gaze shifts from his intense gaze to his sensual lips, and my breasts swell, remembering the touch of his hands, the gentle press of his lips. He wants me. Not just today, but tomorrow and the tomorrow after that.

“You make it sound like I don’t have a choice about being with you.”

“You don’t.” He leans down and kisses me with a savage fierceness that takes my breath away.

Looking for a very hot and sexy book?  Looking for a hot Alpha MMA fighter that will knock your panties off?  Looking for a book that is about healing, loving, and redemption?  Look no further, Full Contact by Sarah Castille is the book that delivers all of these things and more.

Full Contact is the third book in the Redemption Series by Sarah Castille.  Each book can be read as a stand alone romance or can be read in series order.  Either way this book is going to capture your attention and keep you glued to the pages.

Sia O’Donnell is a broken soul.  She had a horrific experience five years earlier that left her broken, fearful, and an observer of life rather than a participator.  Her only solace is her work as a tattoo artist.  Another one of her secret passions is watching MMA fights and one fighter in particular.  She knows he is out of her league and beyond what she can handle, but her fascination with him is the fuel for her fantasies.  When she finally meets Ray “The Predator” Black face to face, the rules of engagement may change.

Ray has his own demons that haunt him.  Fighting is a way to keep his demons at bay.  Outside the cage he keeps people at arms length and never gets close to anyone.  That is until he meets Sia O’Donnell.  He wants to dominate this woman in the most decadent and fulfilling way.

Can Sia overcome her fears and allow Ray to dominate her.  Can she let him go where no other man has been by choice?  Can Ray let go of his guilt and redirect his feelings into something that will heal his soul?

Together these two will find something worth letting go for, worth fighting for, and worth surrender.  They will find true love and passion.

I really enjoyed this book.  It had the right amount of humor, the right amount of angst, and the right amount of red hot passion.  The main characters and secondary characters were full of life and jumped off the pages.

I highly recommend Full Contact by Sarah Castille.

Michel’s Review

In Your Corner is the second book in the Redemption series. Sarah Castille came back fighting with this addition in the Redemption series.

I had trouble with the first book in the series and did not give it a good review. This bothered me because I have read other books by this author that were good. I wanted to give this series another try because I just felt like the author deserved it. I can say, she won this match with a knock out! Kudo’s to Sarah Castille for proving this series was worth the fight.

As I said, this book came back fighting and won the round. Jake and Amanda had a past relationship that ended badly in the first book of this series. Amanda did quite a number on Jake and left the readers hating her guts. Jake was such a great guy, it was hard to understand why Amanda did what she did.

In Your Corner gives the readers more insight to Jake and Amanda’s previous relationship. We get a better understanding of Amanda once we know her history. She had an ugly family background, trust issues, emotional immaturity, and she was looking for love (the wrong kind) in all the wrong places. When she was showed the right kind of love and affection from Jake she just didn’t know how to accept it. She couldn’t handle the real thing. So rather than try to learn to accept all she was offered, all she deserved, she reacted the only way she knew how, she messed up their relationship.

Jake is a good man. He takes his life in stride. He takes on more burdens than he should, adds tons of stress to his life. One of those things is Amanda. When she walks back into his life, the intensity of his feelings cannot be denied.

There is a lot of healing and learning before these two can move forward. Once Amanda learns to let go of her heart and Jake learns to love Amanda the way she needs to be loved, their relationship sizzles. The sizzling sexual chemistry, the hot alpha and sexy bombshell burn up the sheets.

This book was a really good read. It went beyond my expectations. The characters grabbed my heart and held my interest. The secondary characters and their contributions to the story made this book even better. I am happy that I gave this series another chance.
