Synopsis
Lexi has always had a reputation for accidentally messing things up, but she never thought she’d be jobless and homeless at twenty-six. With no other choice, she returns to her hometown to do a little life searching.
Lexi quickly discovers a lot has changed in the eight years since she first left Fairville, a quirky little town in the middle of nowhere. Most of her best friends from high school are now married and have children, and her parents have sold their home and are now living in a loft above their store. One thing still remains the same, though. Anders, her old high school crush is still as hot as ever.
Determined to get her life back on track, Lexi starts searching for an apartment and a job. But during a crazy night at one of her friend’s bachelorette parties, she wakes up in Las Vegas, hungover and married to Evan, Anders’ brother, a guy she barely knows. So much for getting her life back on track.
This story is an NA Romantic Comedy and takes place over multiple parts. Each part is approximately 20,000 words.

Michel’s Review
It’s always great to sink your teeth into a fun and delightful book that leaves you with a big smile and the warm & fuzzies. After reading so many dark thrillers and emotionally dark novels in the past few months, I needed this kind of book. To my great surprise, Jessica Sorensen released The Diary of Lexi Ashford.
Jessica Sorensen stepped outside of her usual type of novels. Rather than having a dark angsty romance, she created a zany heroine from a small quirky town. Lexi Ashford is one of those delightful souls that marches to her own beat. She doesn’t let her accidental mishaps, her scattered sense of time, her bad taste in men, or disorganized life bring her down. She embraces it with gusto. She has made her own path in the city. The last thing she wants to do is move back home to Fairville. In her mind Fairville is the very definiton of hell and she couldn’t get out fast enough. She would rather eat pigeon poop than return home with her tails between her legs. She’s managed to stay away for eight years. She’s managed to survive city life and different jobs without too much hassle. When a series of events in her life, some by her own doing and others by fate, leave her destitute and homeless, she is forced to return home to Fairville.
Things have changed in the oddly weird and boring Fairville. Those she once considered the spawns of satan are vying to be her friend. The town has changed, her parents have changed, the life she once knew has changed. Are the changes for the better? She’s not sure yet.
When she’s invited to a glitter themed bridal shower in Vegas by one of the girls that was her nemesis in her teens, she’s in for an adventure of a lifetime… or the worst mistake she could ever make in her life. She can survive the glitter. She can survive the demanding bridal shower party schedule. She can survive about anything except… that maybe she might have gotten married. She may have married the guy known as the sexy stranger that is really the younger brother to her high school crush. Evan McKay may have been her weird friend in high school but now he is a sexy stranger she doesn’t know. What’s a girl to do? I guess we will have to stay tuned to see if Lexi can survive a Vegas wedding, gnomes in the bathroom, and glitter galore in the quaint, quirky, dwelling of Fairville.
Lexi Ashford is in for the adventure of a lifetime and is going to learn there’s more to Fairville than 80’s themed pie eating contest. Let the fun begin.
Jessica Sorensen has outdone herself. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and laughed my butt off. I loved the quirky characters, the delightful town, and Lexi Ashford. I can’t wait for part two to release. Jessica has some delightful surprises up her sleeve for Lexi Ashford. Evan Anders…watch out…Lexi Ashford is back in town!
