Michel’s Review
The Friend Zone is the second book in the Game On Series by Kristen Callahan.
It’s a fun romance that started as friendship and turned into a beautiful love story.
Gray Greyson is at the top of his game. He has scouts looking at him. He has agents vying for him to sign with him. He can get any woman he wants. He’s smart and doesn’t have to worry about football as his only career. His life is golden.
When his best friend breaks his leg he lends him his truck. The agent he’s looking to sign with lends him his daughter’s pink car. The hottest player on the field is cruising around town in powder puff car. Gray is okay with that. He’s comfortable in his own skin. He doesn’t need props to make him look better.
When he gets a text from Ivy MacKenzie telling him how to drive her car, the game is on. Through snarky texts Gray and Ivy become fast friends. When she finally arrives back in the States Gray is ready to pick up their friendship in person. Ivy has become one of the most important persons in his life.
These two were made for one another. They both have a quirky sense of humor. They are both compassionate towards others. They both love sports. They both love food. They are the ying and yang to one another.
Both Ivy and Gray are falling in love with one another. They are afraid to take it to the next level because of the fear of ruining their friendship. When they finally surrender to their feelings it is explosive.
These two will have their ups and downs throughout their relationship. The gel that holds them together is their deep friendship.
Gray Greyson is one of my favorite male heroes. He is the real deal, the full package.
Kristen Callihan has written another fantastic book that will leave your heart swooning. I can’t wait for more in this series.
Game On Series
The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love
Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?
Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…
Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she’s shut him down. Completely.
That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It’s a good thing Drew knows all about winning.
All’s fair in love and football…Game on
