Synopsis

A Connection Series Novella featuring Ben Covington

The story before the love story….

When he lost the only woman he’d ever loved, it seemed there was nothing left to live for.

Even as a boy, all Ben Covington ever wanted was to spend forever with Dahlia London, the beautiful girl next door…then one life-altering decision tore them apart and he was forced to leave her.

Now, despite having returned to win her back, he’s still alone. She’s with someone else—someone she’s never going to leave.

Resigned to a future without his former girlfriend, Ben numbs his broken heart in a haze of liquor and women. But then the only woman who ever even turned his head while he was with his girl reappears unexpectedly. And he’s never forgotten their one incredible night together. But will Ben’s destructive behavior destroy his future with her before it even begins?

Michel’s Review

Blurred and Frayed by Kim Karr are most likely the most anticipated books in The Connections series. Blurred is the novella that leads the readers down a new path in Ben Covington’s life. The readers will get to meet the real Ben Covington. They will get a chance to experience his actions, indiscretions, his betrayal, his resurrection from death, and his heartbreak.

Ben Covington has arisen from the dead. After faking his death three years earlier to protect the ones he loved when he exposed a high profile criminal network, Ben is anxious to return to his real life. When returns everything, and I mean everything has changed. His fiancé has moved forward in life and is now marrying another man. His family has fallen apart. His mother died suddenly from a fatal stroke. His career is in the pits. His life is hanging in limbo until he testifies against those that destroyed his life.

Ben Covington is lost. He no longer knows who he is, how to find a new direction in life, and how to move forward. He is wrapped up in guilt and self disgust. He will struggle daily trying to find his way. Drinking soothes the pain. Countless women help pass the time. He will hit rock bottom and that will be his only salvation.

Once he hits rock bottom he will take a long hard look at his life. He will strive to make changes. He will face the betrayals he inflicted on others. He will open his eyes to new opportunities, new friends, and new career goals. He will strengthen his relationships with family and friends. He will reunite with the one indiscretion that he has never forgot. This may be the one bright thing in his new life that will motivate him to move forward and let go of what should have been.

Blurred is an emotional story that will give the readers a new opinion of Ben Covington. It the previous books Ben Covington did not look so good. He hurt the people he loved the most. He betrayed his fiancé. He seemed like an egotistical, self centered man with a drive to reach the top. But as the old saying goes, there are two sides to every coin. Personally I loved this side of the coin. Ben Covington is a complex man with a very good soul.

Blurred will let us see the true Ben Covington. I look forward to Frayed, the full length novel, releasing on September 2, 2014. Ben Covington is moving forward and conquering his new life.

Michel’s Review

No Attachments by Tiffany King is book one in the Woodfalls Girls series. It has been previously released in ebook and is now available in print.

No Attachments is a strong start for the New Adult Woodfalls Girls series.

Ashton moved to Woodfalls to start a new life in a small town. She gave up a life of comfort, familiarity, and ease. She chose to settle in a new town, make new friends, and enjoy the simple life. She has kept her motivations and past life a secret.

One of the goals she has set in her new life is to experience items on her bucket list. One of those items is having a one night stand.

Ashton is a bit nerdy and a little socially inept. Her mouth doesn’t always say the right thing but she has enough sass to make it endearing. Doing a one night stand is totally out of character for her. But when a stranger comes to town, she can’t let this opportunity slip by.

Nathan was hired to find Ashton. It is no chance meeting. But when Nathan meets Ashton he is intrigued. It gives him the opportunity to get to know more about her with No Attachments.

When the past comes to light and Nathan discovers Ashton secret everything will change.

No Attachments had just the right amount of mystery, intrigue, emotional angst, and a delightful romance. It is written from duo POV’s. It was touching, emotional, and heartfelt.

The Woodfall Girls series is one I think most New Adult fans will enjoy. No Attachments and Misunderstandings can both be read as stand alone novels. The characters are connected through Woodfalls friendships. Each has their own story.

Michel’s Review

Looking for excitement, danger, suspense, and steamy hot romance? Bound to Danger by Katie Reus is the ticket. Bound to Danger is the second book in the Deadly Ops series. It can be read as a stand alone novel.

The way Katie Reus writes makes it easy for the reader to jump right into the novel and become absorbed until the very last word. She builds the story with escalating suspense, blazing sexual tension, and a well paced plot. Katie Reus writes with passion and excitement.

Bound to Danger opens with Maria Cervantes attending an elite party to network and get donations for the community youth program she runs. She accidentally overhears a terrorist plot right before an explosion kills several people and leaves her injured with a memory loss. Maria is the only witness alive .The agencies in charge are not sure if she is a victim or a terrorist.

When Cade O’Reilly, NSA operative, ex marine discovers Maria’s name on the list of survivors, he insists on being assigned to the case. He had served with Maria’s brother before his death. He had a strong friendship with Maria before Riel’s death. After Riel died, Cade cut all ties with Maria due to guilt.

Maria is shocked when Cade walks back into her life. Between the conflicted feelings of attraction and feelings of betrayal, Maria is not sure how to deal with Cade. Top off the escalating danger, the hunt for the terrorists, and the multiple enemies, she is living in fear every moment. Cade is well trained, lethal, and quick on his feet. He gives her a sense of safety and reassurance that she will survive this ordeal. But will her heart survive Cade?

Between the suspense, the complex web of enemies, the sexual tension, and sizzling romance, Bound to Danger will not disappoint.

Katie Reus creates memorable characters, a complex plot, and a romantic story. No matter what genre she is writing, she always delivers a powerful book. She has become one of my favorite writers. I highly recommend Bound to Danger.

Synopsis:

She needs to be good.

Five years ago, Kit Landry was homeless and alone at sixteen. Determined to ditch her crappy life, she moved to Nashville with only $200, her guitar, and a notebook full of songs. She hit it big as America’s country sweetheart, but a year of living like a rock star plus a stint in rehab has killed any good will she had with her label. The suits have ordered Kit to shape up or ship out of the limelight. The last thing she needs is a hot, sexy distraction with a sinful smile.

He doesn’t know the meaning of the word.

Max Butler is as far from a celebrity as you can get and he likes it that way. A Nashville firefighter, he’s living the single life with a revolving door of parties, friends, and a different woman in his bed every night. When his normal life suddenly collides with the girl on his favorite Rolling Stone cover, he sees the perfect chance to fulfill his ultimate fantasy and see just how bad Kit can be.

Sometimes bad is so very good.

With three weeks until Kit leaves for her big tour, Max promises to give her a break from being the good girl–no strings attached. But when hot days lead to sultry nights, the lines get blurred and suddenly three weeks of bad might not be good enough.

Excerpt:

I couldn’t stop thinking about that kiss. How she’d tasted, how she’d felt in my arms. Despite the difference in our size, Kit fit perfectly against me—like she was made to be there. We had chemistry, alright. But that was all it was or would ever be.

“Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find Shannon Jones?”

The voice came out of nowhere and I lurched up, banging the top of my head on the edge of the fire truck door. Biting back the “fuck me” that could get me written up, I straightened, turned, and found myself looking right into the eyes of the woman I’d just been obsessing over.

Kit was standing there in my station, an expression of surprise and then concern on her face as she glanced to where I’d clonked the living shit out of myself just seconds before. She was wearing a low-cut, little blue sundress and cowboy boots and everything else was miles of bare skin and dark curls. My brain went mushy. Maybe I’d hit my head harder than I’d thought.

Her voice was full of concern as she moved closer. “Max, are you okay? I didn’t mean to sneak up behind you.”

I stared at her like an idiot. In person, I was reminded again of just how gorgeous she was. She walked towards me and I couldn’t move, couldn’t take my eyes off of her. If you looked up “dumbstruck” in the dictionary, you’d see my goofy-ass face pasted right next to it.

I still hadn’t answered when she stopped in front of me. Standing on tiptoe she touched my recent injury. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

Her voice was feminine, with a whiskey-edge that tied my gut up in knots. Her hand was cool on my over-heated skin and, as she moved closer, I could smell her sweet, summery, honeysuckle scent. All I wanted to do was pull her lush curves against my body, take her mouth, and find out exactly where this crazy chemistry would take us.

I definitely had a head injury because suddenly I realized that I had her close enough to do all those things and I wasn’t doing anything about it.
Get your shit together, Butler. Carpe the fucking diem.

I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards me, turning us so she was backed up against the door of the fire truck. She still held her packages in her hands and I missed the feel of her touch on my body, but I could work with what I had.

She stared up at me, her big, blue eyes wide with shock but mostly what I saw there was curiosity. She licked her lips and that was all the invitation I needed. I leaned into her, bypassing the prize of her mouth to press a kiss to her throat, just above the place where her pulse pounded against her skin. She was delicious all over, sweet and warm, and I wanted to drag her down to the floor and bury my cock inside her body for hours.

I looked down and realized that my hands were shaking, my breath as quick as hers—and I hadn’t even kissed her yet.

“When we fuck, it’s probably going to kill me.” It came out as a growl, as I tipped her face up to mine and wasted no more time in taking what I wanted.

Kit didn’t play games, no pretending that she didn’t want this, too. She opened to me, meeting my tongue more than halfway when I dove inside. She was as hungry as I was and the kiss was anything but the usual finesse I used on women. There was no slow seduction here. It wasn’t in my power to play games. I was at the mercy of whatever she would give me.

I slanted my mouth over hers, barely giving her a chance to take a breath before I went at her again like I was starving.

And I was famished. For her. It was the craziest thing I’d ever experienced, but I wasn’t going to let a little insanity stop me. It never had before.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, inserting my body in between her legs. The skirt of her dress rode up high on her thighs as I pressed my hard-on against the hot cleft of her pussy. I rolled my hips against her and she dropped the bags in her hands with a thud against the concrete, weaving her fingers into my hair with a pressure that brought a little pain with the pleasure.

I didn’t care. She could do whatever she wanted to my body as long as I got to do exactly what I was doing right now. As long as she let me do this and so much more.

Kristyn’s Review

Kit Landry is a country music star searching for redemption with her record label. This is her one last chance and then the studio had to go and catch fire.

Enter Max. Sexy firefighter with a tendency to get into trouble. Exactly what she doesn’t need. But their attraction and the fact that they keep running into each other is too much and so they jump headfirst into a sex only relationship with a deadline. Three weeks. Just long enough to develop the feelings they wanted to avoid.

They both have issues with relationships. Max is scarred from experiencing a horrible tragedy that happened to a woman he loved after he found out some bad news about her. He decided then an there not to risk being hurt again. So he has a series of meaningless flings.

Kit is also damaged from her past relationship. She has secrets that she has to hide and getting close to someone would mean risking them leaving if they found out. So she decides to focus on the one thing that has never let her down, her music.

This is a great book about not holding back because of fear. Letting go and going after what you want is how you find true happiness. Kit and Max had to go through the fear of being left behind in order to put themselves out there and find true happiness.

The characters in this book are fallible. They make mistakes and face the consequences of their actions. The story flows smoothly and is full of life and emotion. This is a book that is relatable. Everyone is afraid to put themselves out there and risk being hurt. But fear shouldn’t be a reason to hold back. It should be motivation to push forward.

Synopsis

F*ck and chuck. Pump and dump. Hit it and quit it. One night stand. Didn’t matter how I branded it—that’s all she had wanted it to be. That much was clear when she left me with my pants down and my dick still out.

What she hadn’t counted on was fate intervening and our worlds colliding—again.

The day I showed back up in the life of Chloe Griffins, I knew I had to have her again. My body was hungry for another taste. Like an addict, I’d been craving another hit for months, and there she was—flesh and bone, tits and ass.

The fact that she worked for the competition should’ve been reason enough for me to leave her alone. I had a job to do that summer and f*cking Chloe wasn’t part of it. But I was like a man possessed.

I’d do whatever it took to have her again.

Excerpt:

“You do not need to bring that up.” Her eyes narrowed and I could tell she was pissed.

“Really?” I raised an eyebrow. “Do you react this way to every man who gives you an orgasm? Or just the ones you choose to hit and run?”

“I, what? I did not…” she stammered.

Good. I had her off-kilter. At least now I knew the feeling was mutual. “Look, it’s fine.” I shrugged and grinned, showing her I wasn’t all that bad. “Why did you take off that night?”

She looked at me, contemplating her answer. “I was embarrassed. I’ve never done anything like that before. I had a little too much to drink and let’s just say I wasn’t thinking clearly.”

I took a step closer, my gaze locking on hers. My hand moved to her face and cupped her jaw. I couldn’t resist. “Oh, I’d say you were clear enough with me about what you wanted.” I grinned and inched closer to her. The heat between us was palpable. I enjoyed making her uncomfortable. Maybe it was payback for her having left me in the dust that night.

Who am I kidding? It was the attraction that still pulsed between us, even months later, in the light of day and stone-cold sober.

Her mouth dropped open. “Please, you were the one who kissed me first!”

“True, but you were the one who straddled me like you were gearing up to ride bronco,” I said with a pretend laisse-faire tone.

Ah, there was that adorable flush in her cheeks again, when it had just started to subside.

Michel’s Review

Indiscretion by Elisabeth Grace is a fantastic start to a new serial romance.

It starts out with a bang. We meet Chloe, an independent and professional woman out to score a one night stand while in NYC city celebrating her best friend’s upcoming wedding. That one night stand may be completely out of Chloe’s character but when she lays eyes on Max, it makes it quite easy.

Max is hotter than sex on a stick. The man oozes sex appeal. It’s not hard for Chloe to drop her panties. After all, it is a one night stand, they will never have to see one another again.

Fast forward to two months later. Chloe is hustling to make her numbers in her real estate career. She has an opportunity to buy into the brokerage if her numbers are at the right point. She is determined to focus on her goals and career. She can’t let anything stand in her way. That is until she runs into Max again. Now she is doing everything to try to keep her focus off of Max and on her career.

Max has come to the small town in Maine on business. He works for a competitor developer. It is his job to make sure the site is off the ground, sales are coming in, and making a huge profit for his company. The company is owned by his father , so that puts more pressure on him to perform his job perfectly. He intends to do just that until he runs into the beautiful, mysterious Chloe. He wants more.

As these two begin to get to know one another the sexual tension escalates. They find they want more than just a one night stand.

This was a great start for the new serial. It introduced the readers to the characters. It showcased their sexual chemistry and lit the match under the burner. This volume ended with Max and Chloe beginning to ignite until danger threatens their very existence.

I can’t wait to read Indiscretion Volume 2.

Elisabeth GraceWelcome! I’m Elisabeth Grace, or El if you prefer, and I write New Adult Contemporary Romance.

I’d been an avid reader my entire life, but when I discovered romance novels during my first pregnancy I was hooked! Not sure if it was the hormones or the lack of a life that was headed my way once my daughter was born, but since then I’ve been devouring several romance books a week. I love nothing more than reading about some serious alpha males and a happily ever after.

Things you should know about me…

I live outside Toronto, Canada…eh. (Yes, it’s true. We Canadians say ‘eh’ A LOT.)

I’m a wife and mommy to two small children which I refer to as Little Miss and Mr. Magoo.

I own one cat spawned by the devil. Seriously. He’s as cute as they come but you’ve never met a meaner feline. In retrospect we should have named him, Lucifer. I have the scars to prove it.

I believe there’s no such thing as too much chocolate. Or popcorn. Or bread. Or potatoes. Yes, you guessed it…I’m a sugar and carb addict.

I hate running. Always have, always will. Unless David Gandy’s in the vicinity you won’t find me doing it. Ever. Not sure who David Gandy is and think you might want to become a Gandy Girl like me? Google him. You can thank me later.

I’m a LOVER of all music. The 1200+ songs on my IPod can attest to the variety of my musical tastes. Hubby and I try to travel to a different music festival every year and are regular concert goers.

My name is Elisabeth and I like reality TV. There I admitted it and that’s the first step, right? Yes, I’m a writer and I see the need for scripted shows, but sometimes there’s just something so entertaining about watching one Real Housewife lose it on another one. I could listen to Cochran’s diatribe on his fellow castaways for hours.

Of the four of us that make up my family, three of us are Leo’s. Let’s say it together…DRAMA!

I may be the world’s worst cook. My poor children. Unless Daddy’s cooking they know not to expect much.

I write every night after my kids are in bed until the wee hours of the morning. This wouldn’t be a problem except for the fact that I have always been an early-bird-catches-the-worm kind-of girl, so 5:00am comes early. Sleep is over-rated, I say.

If you are a lover of romance novels, steamy bedroom scenes and alpha males than you may enjoy my stories! 🙂

I LOVE talking with fellow readers about books! There’s nothing better than discovering your next favorite read because someone recommended it to you! If you’re the same I’d encourage you to reach out to me via one of my social media links so we can chat!

Happy Reading!

Synopsis

Jackson Cooper hates magic. Even though his brothers are falling prey to the seductive draw of the paranormal world, Jackson wants nothing to do with it. He also wants nothing to do with marriage, babies, and all that comes with it. He’s content with being the stoic, but quiet Uncle Jacks. But when a woman from his past, one he’s been dodging for years, comes back to town, Jackson might have to reevaluate his plans.

Honor Bridges is the tooth fairy. Well, not the tooth fairy, but at least one of them. For the past eight years she’s been on her own, hiding from what she truly wants. Now she’s back in Holiday and ready to take over her duties…as well as deal with Jackson once and for all. But there’s another player in town who isn’t happy with the decisions she made all those years ago and Jackson might be the one who takes the brunt of that anger.

Warning: Contains a wickedly spicy tooth fairy–complete with sparkly wings, the most tortured of all the Cooper brothers in all his broodiness, and dreams that are sure to make you never want to wake up in this final Cooper Brother’s installment of the Holiday, Montana series.

Tracey’s Review

Holiday, Montana, is a small town that is filled with folks that are touched with magic, and some that are not. Jackson Cooper, the eldest of the Cooper men, hates magic. Like, absolutely loathes it, and wants nothing to do with it. Which is problematic, because all of his brothers and their families are magical in some way. Enter Honor Bridges. Honor’s Aunt Clementine is the Queen of the Tooth Fairies, and Honor is a tooth fairy herself. She and Jackson have a past, which refuses to stay buried when she returns to Holiday. Although they try to deny that the spark is still there, it comes roaring to life, stronger than ever. And when Honor becomes the target of someone intent on keeping her from doing her magical duty, things get messy and very dangerous.

It’s no secret that I really like paranormal romance. And, when it’s a really neat idea, well-executed, with great characters and an engaging plot, I am a happy lady. ‘Dreams of Ivory’ hits every one of these marks. The plot flows nicely, and, even though I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series, there was plenty of back story that filled in the gaps. The chemistry between Jackson and Honor is super-hot, making for some very steamy scenes. And all of the secondary characters, from Honor’s aunt,to Sam the Sandman, to all of the Coopers, wives of Coopers, and mini Coopers, are wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the world of Holiday, and have every intention of going back to the beginning of the series so that I can meet all of the inhabitants of Holiday. Happily, too, even though ‘Dreams of Ivory’ is the last of the ‘Holiday, Montana’ books, Carrie Ann will be introducing an off-shoot of the series in 2016, which I am very much looking forward to.

No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. Synopsis

Step right up and meet Jay Fields: Illusionist. Mentalist. Trickster.

I think in triangles. You think in straight lines.

I show you a table and make you believe it’s a chair.

Smoke and mirrors, sleight of hand, misdirection. I trick and deceive.

But most of all, I put on a good show.

The world thinks I killed a man, but I didn’t. Bear with me. It’s all a part of the plan.

Revenge is what I want. I want it for me and I want it for her.

I want it for all six of us.

She doesn’t remember me, but she’s the reason for everything. She’ll be my prize at the end of all this – if I can hold onto my willpower, that is. Maybe I’ll slip up a little, have a taste, just a small one.

So go ahead and pick a card. Come inside and see the show. Look at my hands, look so closely that you can’t see what’s happening while you’re so focused on looking. I’ll be destroying your world from right here in the spotlight.

You’ll never see me coming until it’s too late.

I’ve only got one heart, and after I’ve pulled off my grand deception I’ll hand it right to her.

So, sit back, relax, and let my girl tell you our story. You’re in for one hell of a ride.

Robin’s Review

What is magic? Merriam-Webster defines magic as “tricks that seem to be impossible and that are done by a performer to entertain people.” The best magicians use the concept of illusion to dazzle their audiences. Sleight of hand. Smoke and mirrors. Deception. Author L. H. Cosway has created her own brand of magic in her newest novel titled Six of Hearts, where the charismatic and sexy Jay Fields dazzles his fans with his magical illusions. You might even feel you are a participating in his audience as you experience each of his illusions through the eyes and the narration of the protagonist, Matilda Brandon.

If I had to choose a genre for Six of Hearts, I would classify it as contemporary romantic suspense. But there is definitely an air of mystery throughout the entire story. In the prologue, readers are given a small glimpse of Jason Fields during his childhood, where he witnesses a traumatic event that will forever shape his future. The prologue is narrated from a third person limited point of view. Readers are given just enough information to keep them scratching their head throughout the entire novel. The narration is then turned over to quirky Matilda Brandon for the remainder of the novel. We are left to wonder how the events in the prologue tie in to the story.

Jay Fields shows up at Brandon Solicitors under the premise of filing a lawsuit against The Daily Post and newspaper journalist Una Harris for defamation of character. He wants to hire Matilda’s father, Hugh Brandon, to represent him as his attorney. Jay wastes no time embedding himself into their lives. Through the course of events, readers are quickly able to come to the conclusion that Jay has an agenda that goes much deeper than the typical lawsuit. And then there is the attraction between Matilda and Jay. One minute Jay is hot and intense with emotion. He definitely shows strong affection for Matilda, and she is very much drawn to the charming illusionist. Crazy sexual chemistry forms between the two of them. Jay then backs off, relegating himself to the “friends” category. One of the things that I really loved about Six of Hearts is the slow-building romance between the two main characters.

Six of Hearts has the entire package. Clever and mysterious plot. Intrigue. Enjoyable secondary characters – including friends Jessie and Michelle. Suspenseful climax. Bad guys with secrets. Humor. Revenge. Slow-building romance. Great writing. And magic tricks that pique your imagination. In fact, Jay’s illusions were one of the best parts of Six of Hearts! Reading Six of Hearts was enjoyable, something I very much looked forward to at the end of my workday. L. H. Cosway has earned a 5-star rating from me for this distinctive novel – one which I highly recommend!

Synopsis

A girl who has everything. A guy who has everything to lose.

Some things can’t be…

Alexis

I’m going through rush with the burden of being a legacy to a sorority that is totally wrong for me. And my parents’ pressure to pledge it for all the socially acceptable reasons. It looks like being a Double Deltsie will be pure torture. Until Zach, the live-in houseboy, who’s quite possibly the hottest guy I will ever meet, serves me a cupcake and flashes me a sympathetic look. The instant chemistry between us is simply stunning. Even though the houseboys are off limits, and my parents would cut me off if they ever found out I’m dating one, I just can’t stay away. I pledge the house for all the wrong reasons.

Zach

Living in a sorority? I get flipped a load of crap about being a live-in servant, the help. Easy access to the hottest girls on campus? Not with the unbreakable rule—get caught with one of the girls and you’re fired. Immediately. Lose this job and I can’t afford college. I sure as hell can’t ask my parents for help. They wish I’d never been born. Considering what I did, I don’t blame them. I’ve learned to think of the girls like sisters. Until Alexis pledges the house. Now sister is the last thing on my mind.

*** Standalone novel. No cliffhanger. ***

This is a contemporary romance with mature themes, language, and situations. Readers should be over 17!

Michel’s Review

* 3 Stars *

Rushed by Gina Robinson is the first book in her spinoff of the Reckless series.

Rushed is a New Adult book. It starts out on Rush week at the college. It highlights the trials and tribulations of becoming a sorority pledge. We follow Alexis as she tries to select the sorority that has been a legacy in her family. She is under pressure and does not feel this is the right choice for her. But she can’t fight against the legacy her family has laid down before her. We will experience the interview and selection process.

Once the Rush week is over we will witness Alexis become a member of the sority. We will see her struggle with their ideals, fellow sisters, and the idea of dating certain men from approved Fraternities. The one man she wants is not a member of a Fraternity. He is a house boy for her sorority. A mere servent in the eyes of her sorority sisters.

Zach is a brilliant young man with a truckfull of baggage. He is attending school on scholarship and working as a houseboy to make ends meet. He is financially strapped, emotionally damaged, and off limits to Alexis. He has hidden secrets that he will carry throughout his life.

As the story evolves this couple will enter a forbidden secret affair. They will have to hide their relationship from the sorority, the fraternity, and Alexis’ family. They will have to hide their relationship because it could ruin them both. Zach has a powerful enemy. Alexis has a devious sorority sister that wants her out and Zach’s attention. Zach can lose his financial stability. Alexis can lose her family’s respect.

This is a truthful story of how some colleges view the Greek communities in colleges. The reader will see segregation , a class system, and some mild hazing in this book.

The reader will also experience the highs and lows that come with a forbidden relationship. They will see two young, beautiful people struggling to find a way to fit into their chosen world.

Rush is a good story with a good plot. There is emotional drama, plenty of angst, romantic scenes, blazing chemistry, powerful enemies, and a climatic ending. The writing was good, the pace of the story was steady, the plot well developed, and the characters were endearing.

I liked the book but it was not a light and fun new adult romance. Considering the subject matter, how could it be? This subject might not grab all readers. Many are not aware of the Greek community systems in most American colleges.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series and have enjoyed the previous series , the Reckless series, in which the Rush series has spun off of. Crushed, Book 2 , will be out in the fall of 2014.
