Two Months Prior…

Jethro

I MEANT WHAT I said before.

I meant it with every bone in my body.

Someone has to die.

I still stood by that conclusion. Only, I’d hoped it wouldn’t be me.

Too bad wishes never come true.

I’d always wondered what it would feel like. How I would react, knowing that I’d failed. I’d lain awake so many nights trying to imagine how I would behave when my father finally had enough. I’d scared myself shitless fearing I wouldn’t be strong enough, brave enough, to face the consequences I’d lived with all my life.

But none of that mattered now. I’d done what I swore never to do and revealed myself. My father knew there was no changing me—he would come for me.

But so fucking what?

She’s safe.

That was all I needed to focus on.

I’d done my utmost to be the perfect son, but I’d been fighting an unwinnable battle. No matter how much I wished I could be like them—I wasn’t. And it was pointless to keep fighting.

Third Debt, the fourth book in the Indebted Series, by Pepper Winters left me stunned!

The Indebted Series has kept readers addicted to this deliciously dark thriller that exceeds all predictions with each installment to the series.  This series is not a light or whimsical series that leaves the reader feeling warm and fuzzy at the end of each book.  It leaves the reader terrified, confused, and starving for more.

I don’t even know where to begin with my review for Third Debt.  Every thought and prediction that I had for this series has been blown apart within the very first chapter.  As the story progresses it gets even more intense, more frightening, and more lethal.  By the end of the book the reader is left with their jaws on the ground and stunned speechless.

Pepper Winters meticulously chose each word, precisely executed each passage, and intricately wove more complexities into the story.  The twists and turns leave the reader reeling in despair and disbelief.  At the same anxious and hopeful that they misinterpreted the outcome.

Questions were answered from the previous books but led to more and more questions.  Some of the characters showed some of their true colors while others camaflouged their true nature.  New characters and obstacles came into play. In the end it left the reader gutted!

The only thing I can really say about Third Debt…. is WTF just happened?

Pepper Winters is a diabolical genius that is leading the readers down a road that leads to hell!
