I knew that this book was going to do me in from the first page. That Amy would make Dakota’s and Ryder’s story one that would steal, break, and rebuild my heart and leave me a complete and utter mess in the process. And I was not wrong.

How could we help but see that Ryder and Dakota were soul mates, from first to last, no matter what? That no matter what forces conspired to keep them apart, they were meant to be, and that a man that appears to be all hard edges and a woman whose softness belies her strength were the missing piece that the other needed?

No one writes romantic suspense quite like Amy does. The grittiness, the danger, the passion that all lead, always, to a beautiful end. And she is totally pulling out all of the stops with the Time River series, delivering two amazing books that I could not put down, and that will stay with me for a very long time. At this rate, I’m not sure that I’ll recover from Ezra’s book, but I cannot wait to see what she’s got for us. If you haven’t read these books, you are totally missing out. My babies are all grown up, and I am feeling all of the things…Thank you, Kristen Proby, for keeping the Seattle love going strong with THE SETUP, Keaton’s and Sidney’s book, and the latest in the Single in Seattle Series.

Luke Williams was one of my very first book boyfriends (and one that I’ll claim forever!) way back when I entered the world of romance lovers. To be reading the love stories of his kids (his KIDS!) is both strange and wonderful, because, like myself, the original Williams/Montgomery sibs are forever young in my mind. But Kristen has done a wonderful job of giving us kids that have become wonderful adults, just like their parents, and I am thoroughly enjoying this series.

Keaton’s and Sidney’s story is sweet and sexy. They are great for each other, and seeing their relationship unfold gave me all of the feels, because it truly is like I’ve been there as these kids have grown up. There are plenty of appearances from everyone in this huge and wonderful family, and Kristen also let us know that this series is slated to cover ALL of the cousins, so I am excited to see what’s next. Also, can I just say how much I love the epilogues from the OG parents? Soooo good! Do the thing and grab THE SETUP and enjoy! ❤️

“Banks!” Ashley calls, stopping me in my tracks.

“What?” I groan and face her again. “Call someone else. Whatever it is, call someone else to help her. I’ll even pay for it. It’ll be cheaper than the therapy I’ll have to endure after seeing her.”

“She needs help.”

I cross my arms over my chest. “Oh, I know that. I rode with her all the way to Orlando and back to pick up someone’s shit when they moved in with Maddox.”

She sighs.

I sigh back at her.

We watch one another. Neither of us says a word. But Sara? Sara says lots of words, many of which can be heard through the phone dangling in Ashley’s hand from across the room.

If Sara had called and asked for my help, I wouldn’t answer. The woman is hell on wheels. She’s headstrong and thinks she knows everything. Her aversion to physical labor is astounding.

There are those authors whose books and series you love so much that you never want them to end. Kristen Proby is one of those authors for me. Every time I read one of her books, no matter the series, I’m excited to hang out in really special places with characters that have become like friends, because Kristen writes friend groups and families really really well, and the fine folks of Huckleberry Bay, Oregon, are no exception.

I have had a special affinity for Juniper Snow since the very beginning. She’s strong and sassy and takes no nonsense from anyone, especially not Apollo Winchester, her nemesis from waaay back. But, what’s this? Why is it suddenly so difficult to dislike Apollo? And why isn’t he the same jerky guy that she remembers? The plot thickens…

Kristen does a lovely job of telling June’s and Apollo’s story, making Huckleberry Bay even more beloved, and a place that I want to spend more time. Thankfully, we will get more, with CHERRY LANE, Zeke’s and Cherry’s book, which is headed our way very, very soon. So if you haven’t visited this beautiful little town, now’s the time to jump in and fall in love. ❤️
