He was far from done.

A smile played on his lips. Finally making her his in the physical sense surpassed his wildest dreams. She was simply perfect for him. So responsive and sensual. Shy, yet not so much that she didn’t let him know what she wanted. He always knew it would be good with her, he just wasn’t prepared to be blown out of his damned mind. And he knew it was because his emotions were already involved.

Fuck. He’d nearly blurted what was in his heart. Good thing he’d caught himself. Though he knew he was falling in love with her, he hadn’t said those words to anyone since his ex-fiancée all those years ago. He wanted to be sure it was the lasting kind of love this time and not some infatuation or heat-of-the-moment words driven by his dick. Besides, Cassie was annoyingly skittish when it came to discussing their relationship. She hated labels, and he thought he was cracking through her damned armor and then yesterday happened.

His attention circled back to the bubbling batter as he flipped the pancakes. Though Cassie was surrounded by complex situations, he was finding out his woman had simple needs. For example: food. He relished watching her eat, though he was worried she was eating too much diner food. Thankfully, Millie seemed concerned with the twin’s health and would occasionally shove some less greasy fare their way. Not that Trent was doing any better at the moment, but he wanted to make her feel at home. He glanced around the sparsely furnished house. He had yet to get a dining table for the kitchen. All he had right now was a collapsible table and folding chairs. Not that he thought Cassie minded; she never struck Trent as the domesticated type. At least the bedroom furniture was new, and they’d already put it to good use. He smirked.

“Hmm…pancakes and sausage.” Arms circled his torso as soft breasts pressed against his back. His cock jerked happily as if Trent had not worn that fucker out.

He covered the linked fingers on his abs with his free hand and craned his neck slightly to kiss the top of Cassie’s head. “These will be ready in a sec. Why don’t you set the table? Plates are in the last cabinet to my right, utensils in the drawer right below it.”

Trent hated to lose her touch but was also relieved in a way. Cassie was affecting him too much. A little distance would help if there was a prayer of ever getting breakfast on the table. As much as he wanted to drop her delectable ass on the counter and eat her pussy for breakfast, they had things to clear up. Fucking each other’s brains out as a means to block out the problems surrounding them was not an option if he wanted a fighting chance at making their relationship work. No more secrets.

Zelda Wilder has made a mistake. She knows better than to let anything get in the way of her con, but he did. McCallum Lockwood Tate slipped right through her defenses, and now Zelda is not only running from the people that want her dead, she’s running from her feelings for Cal.

Every single interaction between Zelda and Cal is sizzling. Cal knows now what Zee is all about, and, although he’s angry that she played him, stole his heart, and ran, he can’t stay away. Zelda is torn, knowing that she and Cal are completely wrong for each other, but unable to forget him. I love the interactions between the two of them, and watching them fall, in typical Tia Louise fashion, when they know that they shouldn’t.

The action in A PLAYER FOR A PRINCESS flows right from the ending of THE PRINCE AND THE PLAYER, so reading them in order is a great idea. 4.5 hot, suspenseful, uber-sexy stars for this one. “I’m sorry, Noelle. I’m really sorry.” I don’t know what I’m apologizing for. The fact that I don’t believe her weak lie or because I kissed her. No. I’m not sorry for either.

“It’s okay. Really. Thanks for caring. And thank you for my birthday gift.” She pauses and brushes her pinkie finger against mine. “You made my birthday really special, and I’ll never forget it.”

Without thinking, I loop my pinkie finger around hers, linking them together. Linking us together. We walk to her window like this and I break our connection reluctantly, bringing my hand up to her bruised cheek. “Please be careful,” I beg, and I’m not sure what I’m even begging her to be careful of. Author Trudy Stiles has outshined all of her previous novels with her newly released story titled Epic Love! Epic Love is the third novel of the Epic Fail series, a series of new adult novels written about each member of the wildly popular rock band Epic Fail. This time, Stiles writes about lead singer Heath Strickland and his first love, Noelle Durand, in a novel that CAN be read as a standalone. Epic Fail is an incredibly sweet, second-chance romance that begins with two children who bond over a game of Wiffle Ball.

When the Durand family moves into the estate next door, Heath has no idea what Noelle will come to mean to him. To everyone on the outside, Noelle seems to have a perfect life, but it doesn’t take long for Heath to figure out something bad is going on with his new best friend. Over time, their close friendship evolves into something more special, and Heath realizes he would give up everything he owns to protect Noelle – to bring her happiness and keep her safe. One day, Noelle just vanishes, and although she is presumed dead, Heath never gives up hope that she will someday resurface.

Epic Love is written in a fashion that is typical for Trudy Stiles. The author narrates her story from the first person perspective of both Heath and Noelle, while also alternating between past and present chapters. Stiles cleverly arranged the novel content, commingling storyline from past and present with perfect precision. The first half of Epic Love has a greater focus on the past, as a friends-to-lovers relationship develops between our main characters during their teenage years. Then, after a 12-year separation, I really enjoyed how our characters become reacquainted in the latter half of the novel!

I experienced a wide range of emotions while reading Epic Love. Anger. Confusion. Heartbreak. Sadness. Hope. Relief. Happiness. Some chapters had me smiling with joy, others left me feeling distress for the characters. I think the reason I felt so much is that I truly cared about these characters. I love reading young adult novels, and although Epic Love is definitely not a YA novel, a portion of the story is about Heath and Noelle during their late childhood and teenage years. Young adults just feel so deeply, and with her writing, Stiles expressed their young emotions perfectly.

I’ve followed Stiles’ writing career from the beginning, and she doesn’t hesitate to write about controversial topics. Although I don’t want to give away spoilers, I do think it’s important to warn readers that there are some very dark, abusive scenes in Epic Love. That being said, I think these scenes were very well written. I felt anxiety and horror while reading them. In fact, as an objective reader, I believe that I felt everything Stiles wanted her readers to feel. Throughout the story, I thought the writing flowed beautifully, and I enjoyed the uniqueness of Stiles’ plot.

Overall, Epic Love is just a beautiful story of love and healing. If you have never had a chance to read a novel written by Trudy Stiles, I highly recommend you consider picking up a copy of Epic Love! I’m including this 5-star novel as one of my 2016 favorites!

I laughed under my breath and banged the back of my head against the wood. “Praying?”

“Do you always breathe like that when you’re praying?”

“It’s an intense prayer.”

“What are you really doing?”

“I think you might know what I’m really doing, Kendall.”

“Can I come in?”

Still fully erect, I tucked my cock back into my pants as best I could before opening the door.

Her eyes trailed down to my massive erection. “I’m sorry….to make you resort to that.”

“It’s okay. My hand and I haven’t spent time like this since I was a teenager. I think he missed me.”

“What were you thinking about?”

“You.”

“Yeah…but what specifically?”

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are the Dream Team of the Romance World. This dynamic duo has written another highly entertaining and emotional book that left me with goosebumps. Their characters are fun, dynamic people with personalities larger than life. Each book is original with different situations leading the characters down the happily ever after road.

Captain Carter Clynes and Kendall Sparks are on different paths in life when their paths cross in an airport bar. Carter is a pilot for an international airlines. He’s rarely in the same country more than a few days. His globe trotting career is ideal for a guy who never wanted to settle down.

Kendall Sparks is facing a life decision. Rather than facing the decision she decides to run away and give herself some time. When she meets a sexy pilot that convinces her she should head to Brazil, it seems like a good reprieve from her life.

A few fun days in Brazil leads to a scary adventure in Dubai to a erotic adventure in Amsterdam. From there these two head to Boca Raton, Florida and find another adventure within a retirement community. Along their fun filled journey they are finding something neither were looking for. They find love. First they have to deal with their real lives and the reasons they are taking to the sky.

Carter has been running from his past. He has some skeletons in his closet that have influenced the way he is today. His playboy ways have also caught up with him in a monumental way.

Kendall has to choose her future. She can continue to be a rich and privileged woman as long as she pays the price that is demanded of her by her family. She doesn’t think she is brave enough to walk away from the money, but she also isn’t brave enough to give into the demands made by her family.

Both Carter and Kendall will find out what truly matters in life. The answer is in the sky.

There are some cameo appearances by our favorite Aussie and the beloved Pixy. It makes a very entertaining moment in the monotony of the lines at the airport.

The Playboy Pilot was a fun globetrotting adventure that led Carter and Kendall home. A home full of love and happiness.

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward were the perfect creators for this adventure in the sky.

Ben Shaw heard his cousin’s sharp orders through his earpiece and immediately searched for the woman Ian had indicated.

He found her kneeling on the floor across the room. “On her. But what—”

“No buts.” Ian sounded cold, controlled. “Do it.”

Ben trusted his cousin with his life but they’d been hired to do a job. Right now, Ian was hustling that job out the door and into a waiting car. A car Ben should be driving.

“Ian, what the hell’s going on?”

“Can’t explain now. I’ve got the client. I’ll take him back to the hotel. Don’t need you for that. Make sure she’s okay. Nothing happens to her.”

Since Ian was more than capable of shepherding their client back to his hotel, Ben started to make his way across the room. “Who is she?”

“Her name’s Dorrie. Tell her I sent you. No, wait. Just let me talk to her muscle. Don’t let her out of your sight until she’s safe at home.”

Now Ben was more than intrigued. “You’re the boss.” Which he wasn’t. He and Ian were equal partners, but Ben couldn’t resist the occasional jab.

He reached the woman’s side in seconds and, as he dropped to his knees at her side, his gaze narrowed at the blood covering her hands and arms.

“Fuck. Are you hit?”

She spared him a quick glance but immediately dismissed him. “Blank, I need my bag from the car.”

The big guy beside her shook his head. “No fucking way.”

“Now. Blank, she’s going to die. I need my bag.”

The big guy’s jaw locked and he sized up Ben, clearly trying to decide if he could trust him.

So he tried to make it easier. “Ben Shaw. Ian Keller sent me.”

The woman’s head snapped around and she stared at him through wide eyes, her mouth open for seconds before she snapped it closed. But her hands never faltered as she applied pressure to the leg of the wounded woman.

“What did you—” She shook her head. “Doesn’t matter. Blank. My bag.”

Ben turned to the big man by her side, but he remained exactly where he was.

“Ian.” Ben knew his cousin hadn’t turned off their comms. “I need a reference.”

“Give your ear piece to Blank.” Ian’s voice practically bit through his link.

Ben dug out his earpiece and handed it over.

The guard stuck it close to his ear and barked, “Keller, what the fuck?” Then he fell silent for several seconds until finally he nodded and handed the ear piece back to Ben.

The big guy stood. “I’ll be back with your bag. You go nowhere without him. You.” He pointed at Ben. “Anything happens to her, you better hope you’re dead.”

Then he took off at a dead run.

To my surprise, Mr. DeVille scratches Atticus behind the ears instead of pushing him away. “Since we’re stuck here, what should we do?” Finished with his sandwich, he wipes his mouth with his thumb. I’d have been more than willing to lick it clean for him.

A pounding on the door interrupts us. Dadgumit, just when things are about to get interesting with Mr., er, Luc. I scurry to the door, intent on getting rid of whoever it is. I find Rafe holding a bag of food and two cups of coffee.

“Hey, I figured your power was still out, so I brought you some coffee and breakfast.” His eyes scan my small apartment, narrowing when he spies Luc.

Mr. DeVille smirks. “What impeccable timing. Goodman, is it?” He casually swings his legs over the side of the bed and steps into his pants.

“Yes, sir.” Although polite, Rafe’s voice has an edge to it. The tension in the air snaps like an impending storm. “The roads are clear, although Mrs. Cabot called and said not to come to work today since schools are still closed and the power remains off for much of the area. Here included, I see.”

“How astute of you to notice. No wonder I pay you the big bucks. Of course Mrs. Cabot said to stay home. It isn’t her losing money, is it?”

Mr. DeVille pulls off my sweatshirt, revealing those cut abs. I stare unabashedly, and Rafe snaps his fingers in front of my face. Luc buttons his shirt, glaring at Rafe the entire time.

“Well, Friday. Thank you for the hospitality. I’m sure since Goodman flew here on the icy roads to check on you, I’ll have no problems getting home. I suggest you take today to study for your classes, and remember I’ll be more than happy to help with your homework assignments.” His eyes flash with desire, and my cheeks heat.

Rafe snarls, looking positively feral.

“A-Are you sure the roads are okay? Would you like a cup of this coffee before you go?”

“I only brought two cups,” Rafe protests.

Shocked by his rudeness—and to our boss, no less—I quickly offer, “Mr. DeVille can have my cup.” What has gotten into him?

Ignoring Rafe, Mr. DeVille turns to me as he shrugs into his coat. “That’s quite all right. Thank you, Friday.” He gives me a conspiratorial wink and a smile.

Rafe, in comparison, receives a cool nod. The hair on my arms stands on end when Mr. DeVille stops and turns to face my friend. I must be having some sort of low blood sugar event because I swear it looks like the rims of his blue eyes have turned the color of a hot stove eye. I blink and find him glaring at Rafe, and the look is returned in kind. Good thing we aren’t living in a century past. If we were, I’m quite certain there would be a duel at fifty paces. He leaves without saying another word.

Rafe slams the door with a muttered, “Good riddance.”

I cross my arms in front of my chest. “Thanks a lot.”

“You’re welcome.” He ignores my sarcasm.

I sigh and gratefully accept the warm to-go cup. I can’t stay mad at him for long; he’s my best friend.

And he has coffee.

Lis’ Review

In Tempting Jo, Nancee Cain takes us back to a world where guardian angels come to earth to guide us mortals through life’s difficulties. We meet Rafael who becomes Rafe Goodman (all puns intended), best friend to Jolene Loretta Sanford and her guardian angel who takes his job seriously. Jo is a small town Alabama girl who goes to the big city to try and “better herself” by taking a job as an Administrative Assistant to Lucius DeVille. She falls madly in lust with her boss. Luc is suave, handsome, and rather pompous, and Jolene’s convinced she can be the seductive type to win him over if she just tries hard enough, studies her word-a-day calendar then actually uses the words, and is the efficient assistant Luc can’t live without. As it turns out, Luc is planning Jo’s seduction for reasons well beyond giving her a chance to “live a little.” His efforts are thwarted by Rafe who is there to watch over her and protect her, but emotions soon get in the way for him too. And then what’s Jo to do? Both men are attractive, and attracted to her; she’s stuck in the middle of a battle over which one will ultimately claim her.

This story is a classic good versus evil, right versus wrong, temptation versus choosing the right path. But what makes it special is Ms. Cain’s way of portraying the quirky characters so that you love them and cheer for them right from the start. Jolene’s so Southern, her mama named her Jolene Loretta because she liked country music. Jo tries to lose her accent, but as they say in South Alabama, that apple didn’t fall far from the tree. When she talks she says things like, “As my mother would say, sugar wouldn’t melt in my mouth. She has all kinds of cliché sayings like this. She dishes them out like fried chicken at a Baptist funeral.” Jo accuses Rafe of doing the “clam jam” when he walks in on her and Luc as they are kissing and starting to move “toward second base.” And when she gets mad at Luc, who insists on going out in the pouring rain, she tells him “Fine, but don’t whine to me if you die of pneumonia, sir.” Needless to say, both Rafe and Luc are charmed and think she’ll be easy to convince to their way of thinking, but Ms Cain shows us that no matter her background or life circumstances, when the going get tough, that steel backbone will guide her through.

The battle over Jo grows more heated and intense as the story progresses. Ms. Cain’s characters never do the predictable, which is part of what makes this story another winner for the author. She treats us to all their quirks and mannerisms and by doing so we come face to face with people we would love to meet in real life. Madge and Gabe make another appearance in this book and I really hope their stories are coming in future books. And God has a true sense of humor. I highly recommend Tempting Jo, an devilishly fun read with a heavenly ending.

Fans of The Wicked Horse Series by Sawyer Bennett have been waiting for Wicked Bond to release. Throughout the series the readers have gotten to know Bridger Payne in many ways. We’ve seen how loyal he is to those he cares about.While he is so giving to others, he keeps himself withdrawn into himself. In many ways the man is a complete enigma. Wicked Bond is his story and it’s a doozy.

After witnessing his friends and close colleagues pulling away from the Silo, he’s beginning to question his own place in the kinky club he created. While he understands his depravities and needs, he also longs for something he knows he will never be able to have. That was destroyed within him long ago.

When a biker friend drops off an unconscious woman for protection, Bridger is put in a perilous position. As her story unfolds and the abuse she has gone through matches his own, Bridger has found his true soulmate. Can he let go of his demons and give his heart to this woman?

Not only does Bridger have to let go of his demons, he has to look at himself in the mirror and see the good man he has become.

Sawyer Bennett pull out all the stops and whistles with this book. Not only was it extremely sexual, it was extremely emotional. She killed me when Maggie and Bridger’s world imploded. The aftermath was so heartbreaking not only for Bridger and Maggie but also characters from another series.

Wicked Bond is the best book in the series.

I knew when Wyatt first made his appearance in MISTER O that I was going to be a fan. Twin brother of Nate ‘Mister O’ Hammer, Wyatt runs his remodeling business with the help of Girl Friday extraordinaire Natalie. Wyatt and Natalie have such a great rapport. They enjoy the same things, and are each other’s biggest fans. What they also are is extremely attracted to one another, but a series of bad experiences with crazy exes has Wyatt more than a little hesitant to even go there with Natalie. When business takes the two to Las Vegas, though, a night of fun turns into a no-holds-barred night of passion and then some, and finding their way back to the way things were before proves harder to navigate than they’d anticipated.

Lauren doesn’t hold back in the sexy times department here. I mean, hot. Fan yourself and pour a glass of lemonade hot. But beyond that, it’s very apparent that Wyatt and Natalie genuinely like and care about each other, and this just makes their trip to HEA-land that much more heartwarming.

And, having gotten to spend some time with Wyatt’s friend Chase, I can’t wait for FULL PACKAGE, because I have a feeling that Chase’s and Josie’s story is going one of my favorite stories yet. Lili Valente, Queen of the Cliffhanger, is killing me! After the whammy that she delivered in A LOVE SO DANGEROUS, she continues to make me want to throw my e-reader across the room with the angsty perfection that she delivers in A LOVE SO DEADLY.

I fell in love with Gabe’s and Caitlin’s story in the first book. They were the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet meets Robin Hood and Marian, and I absolutely loved the way that their story unfolded, and the love that grew between, not just the two of them, but between Gabe and Caitlin’s siblings, too. Each character was so well-developed and real that you felt like you knew and loved them, and when the first book ended, WHAM, Lili cliffied me, and, Oh.My.Goodness. I was left with one heck of a book hangover, and could not wait to see what came next for everyone.

Lili has outdone herself with A LOVE SO DEADLY. Picking up directly following the first book, it feels like no time has passed at all. Because of Gabe’s love, and his faith in her, Caitlin has changed from a girl just getting by to a woman, and she’s become stronger in the face of the loss and betrayal that she’s dealt with. Doing the best to move forward and forget her heartbreak, Caitlin’s new life offers security for her and her sibings, although she can’t forget the love that she lost. And when tragedy strikes again, and Caitlin returns to her hometown, she’s in for the shock of her life.

These books totally have my heart. 5+ star reads, I have loved them from the first chapter of the first book, and I’m anxiously awaiting A LOVE SO DEEP, the final book in the series, because there is so much that still has to be resolved, so many questions that are still unanswered. So, Lili, bring it. I’ll be right here, waiting.
