Personal Concierge, to start ASAP (Boston Area)

I am a successful businessman looking for a wife. Due to a busy career and lack of energy or interest to devote to the process, I am seeking someone to assist me in my search. I am outsourcing the entire process, job to start immediately.

The perfect candidate will be assertive, with excellent computer skills and a knack for reading people. She—I am only seeking women to fill this position—will be expected to:

Meet me, get to know me. Spend a week or so in my company to find out my interests, what makes me tick. During this time she will come to understand the type of woman I expect to fall in love with;
Do all searching activities on my behalf including online, in real life, on social media, networking, and so on;
Once possible matches are identified, provide me with pictures and, upon my approval, arrange dates for us to meet.

I am attractive and financially secure. I do not have trouble finding women who are interested in me. It is finding women that I deem interesting beyond the physical that is the challenge.

While this job can be done at home, I’d prefer that several hours a week be spent in my company in order to keep a firm handle on what I expect in a love interest. I will have private space available in both my home and office for the right person to work.

Income will be determined initially by the experiences the candidate brings to this project. Additional income will depend on the quality of women found to date me as well as how far the relationship(s) progresses—both emotionally and physically. We can discuss a specific payment schedule during the interview process.

This should be an easy job for Andy’s perfectly honed skill set. The key word is should be. Her new boss is one of the most difficult, pig headed, stuffed shirt jerks she has ever met. Despite her job description, despite his difficult manner, she may have already found the perfect match. That match is either going to go up in flames or join the unemployment line once again. Who would of thought that she may be the candidate for the job she is trying to hire another woman for? Not Andy. I guess pigs can fly and maybe Blake Donovan is leading the flight plan.

Miss Match was a fun and delightful book. Andy is one impressive woman. I fell in love with Blake after Andy tweeked him. Together these two will scorch the desk top and send the office in flames. Together they are the perfect match.

Taking a deep breath, Beckett knocked on the door.

No answer.

He turned the knob, and the door opened.

“Go away,” came a strained voice.

Beckett poked his head through the opening. Kat sat in a ball in the corner, her legs pulled up to her chest, her arms hugging herself tight.

“Aw, Jesus, Beckett. Really?” Her face was splotchy and her eyes watery, though he didn’t see any tears.

Ten-to-one she was going through some adrenaline letdown right now, too. Which no doubt made it all worse. That shit could fuck you up even when you were used to how it left you feeling drained and shaky, by how all the stress you’d suppressed during the height of the crisis boomeranged twice over after the fact.

He came into the room, closed the door, and turned the lock for good measure. And then he crossed to Kat, scooped his arms under her knees and behind her back and lifted her up against him.

She smacked his chest. “Put me down.”

“No.” He moved to the edge of the bed.

“I don’t need this right now, Beckett. Put me down.”

“Yes, you do,” he said, sitting on the edge of the mattress. He pulled her face in against his throat and smoothed her hair back from her cheek. She trembled against him, just the littlest bit, her skin hot to the touch. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and hugged her tighter. “You did good, kid.”

Every one of her muscles went tight. Her hand fisted in his shirt. And her breath caught as she buried her face against his neck and shoulder.

Then Kat burst out crying.

And it was like being torn apart and put back together, all at once. He hated her pain, but he adored that she wasn’t hiding herself from him, and that she was letting him be there for her.

He didn’t shush her, or try to talk her down, or encourage her to dry her eyes. To be sure, her tears were like daggers in his heart—they hurt like fucking hell. But the only way she was going to feel better was to let this shit out. Ironic realization for him—he did actually see that. But just because you could see what was good for others didn’t mean you had the first goddamned idea how to apply those principles in your own life. And that was a problem for another time anyway.

What mattered right now was Kat. What mattered … was Kat.

The title for this book is perfect for not only the book but also for the fans of the HARD INK series. It is HARD TO LET GO.

HARD TO LET GO is the final book in this outstanding 5 Star series. The HARD INK series has kept readers captivated with the riveting suspense, the charismatic characters, and the emotional journeys each character has taken. This series has had readers laughing, crying, aching, soaring, and learning about love in many different ways. It has also had a complex plot that has kept the reader on the edge of their seat. Each book and novella has been building up to this final moment. Questions are finally answered. Revelations will finally bring the Hard Ink crew resolution.

This final book features Beckett Murda and Kat Rixey. These two had a very shaky introduction when Beckett pulled a gun on Kat before realizing who she was. These two are like oil and vinegar. They don’t really mix but when put together they are the perfect combination.

Kat arrived on the scene after her brother Nick’s place has been bombed. She is unaware of what is actually going on but is thrust in the middle of it. She has her own problems and secrets as well. She has a dangerous ex that caused her to run.

Beckett has never wanted any kind of relationship. He’s buried deep in his investigation of the ambush that killed half his team. When he finds out that Kat is investigating the same criminals they begin to butt heads. Kat’s no nonsense attitude and strength open Beckett’s eyes . He is finally able to see beyond his tortured past and beyond the investigation. He is beginning to see a future, a future that includes Kat by his side. First they will have to finish what they started and survive.

This book was amazing. The suspense was riveting. The revelations were shocking. The romance between Beckett and Kat was moving. The sexual tension and heat between these two was smoldering.

Laura Kaye once again delivered a phenomenal book. I’m sad to see the HARD INK series end. This series went out with a bang that left the readers sad to see the ending but happy the way it ended.

I was surprised when this book came across my desk. I was completely satisfied with the conclusion of When I’m Gone in the Rosemary Beach series. I really didn’t feel a compelling need to have more of Mase and Reese’s story. Their story ended on a good note that I felt blended perfectly into the Rosemary Beach series.

When You’re Back picks up where the previous book left off. Reese has gone to visit her real birth father to meet his family. She is no longer a misplaced individual. She has a family and she has Mase.

Upon her return back to Texas life is looking a bit different. She is learning to deal with her dyslexia. She is learning how to trust other people. She is learning that love makes all the difference in her world. She’s anxious for her and Mase’s future.

When she returns she learns she is going to have to face much more before she and Mase can have their happily ever after. She meets Mase’s jealous cousin Aida. Aida is displaying some unnatural feelings towards her cousin and treating Reese like crap. At first Mase can’t see what’s happening until it almost tears him and Reese apart. Aida isn’t his cousin by blood ( secretly I think she may be Nan’s cousin…just kidding!).

Then there is the issue of Reese asserting her new found confidence and independence. When she takes a job off the ranch it throws her into the path of Captain, Blaire’s half brother. His business is also crossing from Texas to Rosemary Beach. Captain is not all that he seems but there is one thing that is perfectly clear. He is interested in Reese.

Reese’s past comes back in full force. Now she has three men that want to protect her. Mase, Captain, and her father will go to the ends of the earth for her.

Mase and Reese will have a lot to deal with to combine their love and lives together. They may be in Texas but Rosemary Beach crew has their backs.

This book ended on a bit of a cliffy but I don’t see a sequel to this book. The next book slated for this series is Captain’s story and it is going to be good. Hopefully Reese and Mase’s story will carry on in the future Rosemary Beach books.

I love the Rosemary Beach series and devour every book that is released. These characters have become as dear to me as my own family. These books never disappoint. They are built upon love and friendship.

The first time around for Lily Danville and Aidan Kincaid did not end well. With Lily on the run from her personal demons, and Aidan caught up in the care and keeping of his extended family, the timing just wasn’t right. But when Lily, on the run from a major career mishap, comes home to Cedar Ridge, it doesn’t take long for things to heat up again.

I am always so excited to be able to read any book by Jill Shalvis. She has the wonderful ability to create a sense of hometown community, filled with characters that are wickedly funny and completely committed to each other. Second Chance Summer is the first book in Jill’s Cedar Ridge series, and I loved everything about it. Aidan and the rest of the Kincaid brothers are snarky, rugged, and sizzling hot. I mean, really, what’s hotter than a bunch of ripped outdoorsy guys that are also smart and that would do anything for the people that they care about? And care about Lily, Aidan does. Still nursing some residual pain from the first time she broke his heart, he’s not sure that he can risk another chance with her. And Lily, having held herself responsible for the losses that have occurred in her life, doesn’t want to let Aidan, or anyone, in. Time, though, and the heart, have a way of healing all things, and these two are soon on a collision course, completely unable to stop the way that they feel for each other.

“Aidan, I’m sorry I was so slow about things. But I meant every word I said to you last night. I want to stay in Cedar Ridge. I want to give us a real shot. I want to love you.”

I could not have enjoyed this book more, and give Second Chance Summer 5 sexy, swoony, sweep me off my feet stars. I can’t get enough of Jill and her books, and I look forward to each installment in this wonderful new series.

My eyes flutter as soft fingertips drag across my lower back. The faint sound of thumping pounds against my ear as I open my eyes, feeling disoriented. The first thing I see are the hard lines of Robbie’s stomach as his chest rises and falls.

Both Ember Walker and Robbie Hayes have seen darkness and despair. Ember is finally at a place in her life where she is experiencing the love denied her during a childhood filled with betrayal and hate. Robbie, still dealing with a loss that left him bereft and changed him completely, is holding tight to his heart. But as the two find their other halves in each other, they can finally begin to heal and move forward.

I am a fan of Ahren Sanders, because I like the complexity that her books offer. In typical Ahren fashion, Salvation is a love story, but not only a love story. It is also a story filled with passion and tenderness, with intrigue and redemption, and I could not put it down. Ember and Robbie spark off each other from their very first meeting, evoking feelings in each other that start the process of renewal for both of them. That Ember is able to be so optimistic, so generally full of light, is pretty amazing, given all that she dealt with while she was growing up. Robbie is a born protector, and it takes no time at all for him to focus on Ember, seeing that part of her that still needs building up and taking care of. Watching them navigate the ups and downs of their relationship had me flipping pages non-stop, because I was so invested in seeing them make it through all of the roadblocks to get to the other side. If I’m still thinking about a book days after finishing, which I definitely was with this one, then I count it a success. Add in the interesting, quirky, and well-written group of supporting characters, and this book had everything that I look for in a good read. I enjoyed it so much that I am eager to go back and read the first two books in this series, and easily give Salvation 4.5 heart-wrenching, romantic, redemptive, sexy, and, oh, so hot stars.

The guard dropped the wand, letting it dangle near her thigh. “Did you just hiss at me?”

Erin hissed again.

“Okay.” Connor stepped between them, winking down at her. “We should go. Don’t want to keep the clerk waiting.”

Appreciation spread in her belly like honey. He hadn’t chided her for her behavior or apologized to the woman on her behalf. Instead he’d given the impression they were on their way to get married, appeasing her jealousy in one fell swoop. “That’s right.” She sauntered toward the elevator. “There’s vows to be exchanged. Rings to put on fingers. Shit like that.”

She glanced behind her to find Connor staring at her ass as she walked, so she put a little swing in her hips and savored his groan. Damn. She’d definitely never had this much fun at a courthouse.

A moment later, she and Connor stepped into an empty elevator. She hit the button for the top floor even though the clerk was on the first, and leaned back against the wall, looking up at him through her eyelashes. “How was your morning, baby? Was it worth leaving me in bed, all hot and bothered for you?”

“Fuck no, it wasn’t.” He crooked a big finger at her. “Climb on up here.”

“Name?” she said, impatiently.

I was so flustered that for a second I’d forgotten who I was. “Hollis Murphy.”

She scribbled something on a spreadsheet and handed me a packet with my name and the number two hundred ten typed out on the front sticker, which I assumed was my room number.

In a flat bored voice, she said, “Everything you need to know is in the packet. Should you have any additional questions or needs after reading the information, please ask your RA. Have a productive semester. Next!”

Clutching the envelope to my chest, my gaze shifted back down, and I walked quickly out of the office.

As I turned the corner, a loud deep woot! jerked my attention down the hall. I took one step before crashing full force into something solid and warm. Stumbling back, I dropped the envelope. Once my balance returned, my eyes focused on a gray T-shirt with cut off sleeves, stretched across broad shoulders. When I glanced down in search of my envelope, I couldn’t help but spot the narrow hips and round ass covered in black basketball shorts. As I squatted to pick up the envelope, a tanned forearm came into view. My gaze roamed up to find the arm was covered in bulging muscles.

“Oh god, I’m so . . . sor…ry,” I stammered, my cheeks heating with embarrassment.

“Here ya go,” a deep voice said.

Reaching for the envelope, my gaze inadvertently shot up to the warmest green eyes ever created. His dark brown hair was cut short on the sides, longer on top, and tousled. The perfect amount of scuff peppered his strong jawline, with deep dimples framing a sexy lopsided smile. The air was immediately sucked from my lungs. He wasn’t just hot, he was boy band hot.

A deep chuckle drifted down before I realized he had stood up and was extending his hand to me.

Oh boy! I get to touch him.

I slipped my hand into his and felt an immediate jolt of electricity. The muscles in his arm twitched. He felt it too.

“Thank you,” I said, as he helped me up.

“I’m Risher Stevenson.”

He was actually introducing himself to me.

It had become a habit not to look directly at anyone, especially a stranger. I automatically angled my head down and to the left, to hide the messed-up side of my face. But those green eyes locked me in place.

“Hollis Murphy.”

“Nice to meet you Hollis Murphy.”

“Sorry again about running into you. I need to do a better job at watching where I’m going.”

The tip of his tongue slipped between his lips before they formed into a slight smirk. Just as he was about to speak, his name came barreling down the hallway.

“Rish! Get your ass down here. We’ve got a ton of boxes to haul in.” A blond-haired guy was standing at the end of the hall.

“I gotta go finish helping my friends move in.”

I nodded.

Risher took three steps before turning back toward me. “Don’t do too good of a job.”

My eyebrows squished together in confusion.

“At watching where you’re going. I hate to think I won’t get rump bumped again.”

He winked before jogging away.

I Sasquatched those shoulders, those hips, and that ass all the way down the hall.

Robin’s Review

I really had no idea what to expect when I began reading the newest novel from Alison G. Bailey. In my opinion, the synopsis for Stop! is somewhat vague, but I always expect great things from this author. I can tell you this: if you expect a story similar to those of Bailey’s Perfect series, you are going to be surprised. Stop! is completely different from anything Bailey has previously written, and it’s way more than a typical new adult contemporary romance. The story takes place at Chambers University, and it focuses on three main characters: Hollis Murphy, Benton Daniels and Risher Stevenson.

I’ve debated on how much of this story I should share in my review, but I’ve come to realize that Stop! is one of those stories you just need to experience. The messages of this story are profound, and very thought-provoking. Bailey includes a sweet romance in this novel, but for me, the romance felt secondary to the main plot. I love reading a good romance, but Stop! is a story with plenty of substance. It’s about courage, and Bailey gives us two very courageous characters in Hollis Murphy and Benton Daniels. There is also a message about tolerance. Learning to open your mind and be tolerant of people who are different. And beauty. Finding the true definition of beauty. It’s not just physical beauty, but beauty found from within. These are all very relevant topics in today’s society, and while I was reading, I found myself considering some things about my own life. I think most readers will. Bailey gives readers a good, hard look at what it’s like to be someone who is persecuted because of their differences.

One of the first things I noticed about Stop! is the writing. Bailey’s writing is crisp. It flows. Her words engaged my interest from page one, drawing me right into the story. She kept me on my toes. I had lots of questions in my head, always wondering what would happen next. There’s a twist to the plot, and it’s one you won’t see coming. The story evolves into something you aren’t expecting. I also need to compliment the author on her character, Risher Stevenson. He’s one of my favorite book boyfriends to date. Risher is just about perfect. You ladies are going to love him! The uniqueness of the plot is what really drives this story home. It encompasses everything from labels, violence and bullying to friendship and courage. Bailey asks readers to “stretch your mind, open your heart, and expand your understanding.” This is the overall message of Stop! I’ll be adding Stop! to my list of 2015 favorites. Congratulations to author Alison G. Bailey for this beautiful 5-star novel!

Safe At Last is the third book in the Slow Burn trilogy by Maya Banks. It can easily be read as a stand alone novel or in series order. The Slow Burn series has been building up to Zack’s story and it is a doozy. This book tapped into my emotions and had me aching for both Zack and Gracie. It is by far my favorite book out of the Slow Burn series.

Zack and Gracie were high school sweethearts. They truly loved each other with everything they had. Both had big dreams and bright futures. Everything seemed to be perfect in their young lives until Gracie disappeared without a trace. There were no signs of trouble, no signs of anything. Zack didn’t know is she was dead or alive.

Fast forward to twelve years later. Zack is on a different path in life than what was expected in his teen years. When he unexpectedly runs into Gracie, his life takes another turn. He wants answers or at least some closure. The one thing that is certain, he still loves Gracie with every bit of his being.

Gracie is not over thrilled with connecting with Zack once again. She has finally been able to put aside the pain and fear of what happened when she was sixteen years old. She still is haunted by her past.

They will have to confront the past. Answers are not going to come easily. Zack has been in the dark about Gracie’s secrets. Gracie feels like she was betrayed and is fearful of Zack. The reality is both are going to face some harsh realities and some truths that might just look completely different twelve years later.

This book was very emotional. It dealt with all of the emotions that you go through with your first love. It also dealt with learning to accept your mistakes, failures, and misconceptions. This book focused more on the present relationship between Zack and Gracie as mature adults facing their immature past.

At the same time there is another plot developing throughout the book. There is a dangerous enemy threatening both of their lives. Zack and his colleagues at Devereaux Security will have to protect the ones they love. There are high stakes for everyone involved.

This book was quite different from the first two books in this series. This book revolved around the emotional aspects of a relationship. It didn’t have the heated romance or high octane suspense. This book focused on the heart.

Wow! J. Kenner knocked it out of the park with the second book in the Stark International trilogy. This trilogy is by far my favorite in the Stark Series.

On My Knees by J. Kenner is the second book in the Stark International Trilogy. It should not be read as a stand alone novel. It is the sequel to Say My Name. This trilogy features Jackson Steele, a world renowned architect, and Sylvia Brooks, Damien Stark’s PA & Project Manager for the Cortez Resort Project.

Jackson and Sylvia have a history that ended badly when Sylvia chose to leave Jackson without explanation five years earlier. She not only broke her own heart but also left Jackson broken. When she asked that he not contact her in the future he respected her wishes, not only for self preservation but because he loved her that much. Five years of harboring a broken heart has left Jackson bitter. When the opportunity to work with the Stark Corporation presents itself he sees this as an opportunity to get revenge on Sylvia and Damien Stark. What starts out as a quest for revenge turns into a quest for love and redemption. Jackson is finally getting answers for why Sylvia left him and he finds he loves her even deeper than he thought. As far as his revenge on Damien Stark, it is a whole different animal altogether. It’s much more complicated than a business deal gone wrong. But for Sylvia, he is willing to put aside his hatred towards Damien and work on the project. This project ends up being more than he expected. It is an architect’s dream.

That is pretty much how Say My Name ended. Both Jackson and Sylvia are trying to make their relationship work. They have revealed some of their secrets and looked past the old hurts in their relationship.

On My Knees picks up where Say My Name left off. The Cortez project is beginning to come to life. Everything is running smoothly until Jackson gets arrested for attacking the movie producer Robert Cabot Reed. The result is Damien Stark firing him from the project. Damien’s reasons are much deeper than the arrest. Jackson revealed one of his dark secrets that infuriated Damien.

It would seem like this would put a huge kink in Sylvia and Jackson’s relationship but it does just the opposite. Even though their careers are colliding ,their relationship is much more important to them. They become even closer by talking things out, rationalizing their problems, and finding solutions to control their personal needs. They handled their weaknesses and pressure points by trusting and depending on one another.

Eventually Jackson is brought back on the Cortez Resort project but there are still problems that could keep this project from getting off the ground. The media has run with Jackson and Sylvia’s connection to the producer of a movie that Jackson wants killed. He hasn’t revealed his reasons but it is quite clear they are valid. Sylvia is trying to survive the dark past that Robert Cabot Reed caused. Damien Stark is being a complete dickhead. It seems like he is gunning for Jackson because of the secret he revealed. Still Jackson and Sylvia’s relationship is staying true and strong until Damien reveals a secret that could tear them apart. At the same time something underhanded is going on at Stark Industries. Someone is sabotaging the Cortez Project and it looks like it may be coming from within.

I could not put this book down. It really pulled the reader into the story and gave the reader more insight on who the characters really were. Sylvia is a strong woman with integrity. Jackson may be caring around a lot of secrets but all of his intentions are good and pure. He always puts Sylvia first. He is an honorable man and shows much more character strength than Damien Stark. I couldn’t help falling head over heels for Jackson Steele. As for Damien Stark, I was really beginning to hate the man , but he wouldn’t be where he is in the world if he was any other way (his story will change the readers view of him). I loved how J. Kenner let readers see the other side of Damien Stark and not let his powerful personality overshadow this trilogy.

J. Kenner has done a magnificent job with this trilogy thus far . It is able to stand apart from the first three books in the Stark Series. These characters shine. Their story is captivating. She didn’t let the characters from the previous books overshadow the leading characters in this part of the series. They have a fresh voice and unique story. I can’t wait for the final book , Under My Skin, releasing September 1, 2015,
