Seriously, I am falling more in love with Quincy, MT, and the Eden family with every single book in this series, and that is saying something, because INDIGO RIDGE was easily one of my favorite romances of 2021. Devney’s writing is flawless, and her talent for hooking me right from the get-go and keeping me completely immersed never fails.

GARNET FLATS is the perfect blend of a second-chance love story and that dash of suspense that makes it the perfect read for me. I was just as ready as Talia Eden to kick Foster Madden’s butt right back to Vegas and totally rooting for the two of them to work things out, because, oh, my gosh, Foster making amends is pretty freaking amazing. I slowly swept my thumb across a patch of raised skin. Then I bent forward, my lips going to the worst of the scars. I ghosted them over the flesh that had been torn apart but had come back together stronger than it had been before.

“Beauty in the strength that carried you through. Beauty in how you refused to be broken. Beauty that you never let yourself become cruel like him. Addie, there isn’t a thing about you that isn’t beautiful.”

Like our children, the books in our favorite series have separate and different things that endear them to us, and, like with our kids, you just can’t pick a favorite. That being said, while I have loved each book in the Tattered & Torn series by author Catherine Cowles, HIDDEN WATERS just resonated with me. I love a slow burn, Catherine gave Addie and Beckett just that. Addie’s innocence, coupled with her desire to be self-sufficient, paired with Beckett’s need to take care of her, had me falling more in love with them and their story with each page.

As with the other books in the series, there is just the right amount of suspense to go along with the love story, and it played out just perfectly. And watching both Addie’s and Beckett’s growth as they let go of the past and find their future with and in each other, made HIDDEN WATERS a most special read. If you haven’t met the characters in the Tattered & Torn series, now is the time. Because next up is SHATTERED SEA, Laiken’s story, and I cannot wait. ❤️

Author Kristen Proby has a whole new world for us, and I couldn’t be happier. LIGHTHOUSE WAY, the first book in Kristen’s new Huckleberry Bay series, is just what I would expect from Kristen, and absolutely what I wanted. Friends to lovers, small town, a touch of the paranormal, LIGHTHOUSE WAY is the first in a series of stories that show that you absolutely can go home again, and that it’s probably going to be even better the second time around.

That Luna is a strong woman all on her own., and that she is more than willing to let Wolfe know just what she needs, is wonderful. It’s refreshing to have characters that are just as capable solo as they are as a couple. Luna and Wolfe are friends that have lived fulfilling lives separately, and are able to come together now, knowing what they they want. It will be wonderful seeing them in upcoming stories, as their lives continue to evolve.

I already love Luna and her girl gang, as well as Wolfe and the guys. Kristen’s ability to write friend groups that draw readers in and make them feel like they’re part of the fun is well-established, and she’s in her element here. The love and familiarity between Luna, June, and Sarah, along with new friends, are going to, I know, make for some fun times and great conversations as the series goes on.

Fans of Kristen’s books will fall immediately in love with this small town and the folks that live there. Put a visit to Huckleberry Bay on your to-do list. You’ll be happy that you did. ❤️

After reading and loving TATTERED STARS, I couldn’t wait to read FALLING EMBERS, the second book in the Tattered & Torn series by author Catherine Cowles. It’s often a difficult thing to follow up an absolutely fantastic book, but Catherine has done a good job of capturing the emotion and angst that were so present in the first book.

The events that make up the backstory for this whole series are nothing short of unimaginable, and it’s no wonder that every member of the Easton family is still dealing with the fallout years afterwards. When all that Calder has been through is added to the mix, that he and Hadley can push past everything and find their way back to each other is nothing short of fate.

Catherine weaves an engrossing story, full of action, suspense, and passion, and gave Hadley and Cruz the story that I was hoping for. I have to be honest and say that Sage and Birdie are the absolute stars of this book for me, and I hope that they’ll make many appearances in the books to come. I’m super-excited to see what Catherine has in store for us with the rest of the series, and can’t wait to get my hands on HIDDEN WATERS, because Beckett Easton has got me more than intrigued. These books are a definite ‘must read’ for lovers of family saga and suspense as only Catherine can write. Make sure that they’re on your TBR, and enjoy. ❤️

I’m a USA Today Bestseller of Romantic Suspense, Contemporary Romance, and Paranormal Romance.

I first started writing while carting my kids to one hockey rink after the other, averaging 170 games per year between 3 kids in 2 countries and 5 states. My first book, IN TWO WEEKS was originally published in 2007. In 2010 I helped form a publishing company (Cool Gus Publishing) with NY Times Bestselling Author Bob Mayer where I ran the technical side of the business through 2016.

I’m currently enjoying the next phase of my life…the empty NESTER! My husband and I spend our winters in Jupiter, Florida and our summers in Rochester, NY.
