Synopsis

Two is hot…three is explosive.
The last wedding former high school linebacker Colt Bennett attended was his own—to the woman his brother is now marrying. But tequila, romance and regrets make a bad combination, and the next thing he knows, he’s half passed out in his ex’s best friend’s truck.

That Paige Wilcox hates the sight of him is incidental, right?

At least until Colt calls his best friend and business partner, Drake, to give him a ride home, and somehow the three of them end up in Paige’s bedroom. There’s absolutely no reason why he should consider having a threesome…

Other than he’s been denying wanting both of them for months.

With Coach Carr on the mend and the rest of his high school football team back home, Colt’s starting to find his true place in his hometown. Except now he’s got even bigger problems than recriminations about the ex he’s long over. He’s falling for her best friend, and maybe even for his own…

Oh, and boys—and a girl—touch in this book. A lot.

Tracey’s Review

Colt Bennett is tired. Tired of being seen as just a player, of keeping up the front of the happy-go-lucky guy, of the pitying looks from folks because his ex-wife just married his brother. But what’s a guy to do? Enter Paige Wilcox, best friend of Colt’s ex-wife. When circumstances bring Paige, Colt, and Drake Mondell, Colt’s best friend and business partner, together, things get very interesting very quickly. Sometimes being in the wrong place at the right time brings the greatest, if unexpected, rewards.

Five-Alarm Hotness Alert! Oh, my goodness, folks. Having long been a fan of Cari Quinn, I was fully expecting to have my socks knocked off by GOING DEEP, her latest installment in the Boys of Fall series. And, oh, my word, she most certainly does NOT disappoint. This book starts off hot and reaches scorching in no time flat.

There is no shortage of ‘fan yourself’ moments in GOING DEEP. These three jump right into one of the hottest hook-ups that I’ve read, and it does not stop. All the sizzle aside, though, these are three people that have been looking for the one, or ones, that will help them be free to be themselves, and they’ve finally found it in each other. What starts as a purely physical journey into forbidden territory quickly becomes much more.

I really love that, while Cari has written her signature sassy and independent woman in Paige, we get to see that there is something deeper, a side of her that has just been waiting to emerge, and it takes both Colt and Drake to make that happen. And she’s the spark that the two men need to finally come into their own in every sense.

This is not your typical love story, but I could not have enjoyed it more. GOING DEEP is absolutely 5+-panty-melting, heart-melting, feel good stars for me, and needs to be on your TBR stat.

Tracey’s Review

Simon Kagan, lead singer of the group Oblivion, is living the life. As the band rockets to fame, he’s loving life in the limelight and all that it brings. The one bump? Margo Reece, the girl that got away. Margo, oldest daughter of a proper New England family, has always done the right thing. Until Simon, that is, and an encounter that neither one can forget. Recently dismissed from her position with the Boston Philharmonic, she finds herself working with Simon and the rest of the band, and with the way that the sparks fly between these two, things are about to get very hot.

I am an absolute sucker for books about hot rockers, and Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn do these like nobody’s business. The Lost In Oblivion series has all the things that are good with this trope, and are, like the rest of their books, some of my favorites. Simon and Margo seem like an unlikely pair, with all of the differences between them, but the heat that they generate is off the charts. I mean, seriously combustible. And the more time that they spend together, the more the inevitable changes start to creep in, and, before you know it, I’m over here swooning.

“But everything felt bigger here in this tiny space. As if she couldn’t get away from him, or more importantly that she didn’t want to.

She squeezed his fingers. “Simon, I need…”

“You need what?”

She was so empty.

The thought of telling him that was so huge and so scary that she shut it down.

She didn’t own him. Had never owned him, she was only borrowing.

“I’m yours.”

Her eyes flew open and he gazed at her without fear and without a lick of hesitancy.

“I’ve always been yours, Violin Girl. I’ve just been hoping you would take me.”

I was in a puddle. Just done. These ladies know just how to craft words, to create a story that will create no small amount of feels, and keep me thinking about it long after.

As they are wont to do, Taryn and Cari have left us with one heck of a cliffhanger, and August seems much too far away for the next chapter for Simon, Margo, and the rest of the band. I happily give Destroyed 5+ ‘oh, my gosh, I am SO happy, but wait, oh, no you didn’t’ stars, and urge you to add it and the rest of the Lost In Oblivion books to your TBR. They’re a wild and sexy ride that you definitely don’t want to miss.

The Lost In Oblivion Series

913eVxUHr3L._SL1500_Rocked – Book 1

Love definitely wasn’t on the setlist.

Opening for their idols on their first tour, Oblivion is living the dream. Mostly. Frustrated at being shoved out of his mediator role by their new manager, Deacon McCoy loses himself in brutal workouts. He only comes up for air long enough to refuel—and to tease the deliciously cute chef who makes him crave a lot more than what she’s offering on her serving plate.

As the child of roadie parents, Harper Pruitt has heard every pickup line twice. To her, musicians are one step above the scraps on her cutting board. All she wants is to get enough experience to run her own catering company, but Deacon and his bottomless stomach are too tempting to resist. He’s far from the typical rock star and before long, she finds herself experimenting with him, inside and out of the kitchen.

Apron – and panties – optional.

When Harper sees that Deacon’s dream band with his best friends may be turning into a nightmare, she can’t walk away. Deacon’s so much more than just a peacemaker and the man behind the bass. But she has her own dreams to chase…even if she’s starting to think what she’s building with him might be the biggest one of all.

You met Deacon McCoy in SEDUCED, now you can watch just how far a big man can fall.

He’s always saved her. Now she’s going to return the favor…

Gray Duffy never thought he’d end up as the co-lead guitarist of Oblivion, one of the hottest rock bands in the country. Even better? He’s sharing the experience with his best friend, Jazz. Since the day she’d showed up as his family’s new foster kid, Gray has protected her. Loved her. And not just platonically either. After all these years of wanting her in his bed, he still doesn’t know what it would be like to have her mouth on his.

Except for that one time. The time he’d shared her with Nick. The best worst night of his life.

Now they’re living their dream. They’re making music together and spending every waking moment trapped in tight quarters. With success at their fingertips, the time is right for him to finally make his move toward the woman he needs.

He just never figured he would lose control. Or that she would find out.

They’ve loved each other through everything. But what if this time love just isn’t enough?

Going Long

Boys of Fall Series

By Cari Quinn

Synopsis

This time, he’ll need to hit all the right notes to win the woman he’s always loved…

Wade Bennett is used to coming in second to his seemingly perfect older brother. In high school, Colt was a star linebacker while Wade was the punter, an important job without all of the glory. When Charlene Martinez—the only girl Wade ever truly wanted—fell for Colt, Wade decided to take his chances with music and went on the road. Leaving behind his family, his best friend, Rafe, and Charlene, who had feelings for Wade she never allowed herself to feel.

Years in Nashville quickly hardened the dreamy guy who just wanted to sing and hang out with his dog, Melody. His success has given him more than enough money, even if he knows he’ll never be able to compete with his hometown hero big brother. But after Coach Carr’s heart attack, Wade comes home to help the man who helped him make the decision to chase his dreams all those years ago.

Now Wade wants to chase a new dream in his old hometown, especially since Charlene is single again after divorcing Colt. And Wade is no longer a boy unwilling to fight for what—and who—he needs.

4 StarTracey’s Review

Wade Bennett has hit a dry spell in his career as one of the darlings of country music. The songs just aren’t coming, and Wade finds himself restless and in need of a change. When he gets the call that his high school football coach, the man that helped Wade become the person that is today, is ill, he’s on the road home to Texas without any further ado. Even the chance of running into Charlene Martinez, the girl that got away, and most of the reason that he left home in the first place, can’t keep him away.

I’m a big fan of second-chance romance, and Cari Quinn has written a lovely one in GOING LONG. Years apart have not diminished the feelings that Wade and Charlene have for each other. They still have a lot of unfinished business, and seeing them sort through it is hotter than hot. Wade is not a star for nothing; his charisma, his talent, and his sexiness make him one hot ticket, but Charlene is no man’s plaything. Smart and strong, she knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to stand up for it. These two are a perfect match, and the sparks that fly between them make for a sexy, romantic, and entertaining read.

I had not read any of Cari Quinn’s books before GOING LONG, but this definitely will not be my last. She writes with heart and heat, and I’m hooked. I really enjoyed this 4.5 star read, and look forward to reading more by Cari, and more in the Boys of Fall series.
