So. Former New Orleans madame with one heck of a story to tell…Scary as heck mysterious anti-hero, with just the promise that there’s some redemption down the road. Characters born from the writing genius of Meghan March, one of my absolute favorites. How could CREOLE KINGPIN, the first book in Meghan’s Magnolia Duet, be anything short of amazing? Only possible answer: it can’t.

This story the perfect addition to the world that Meghan created in her Mount Trilogy. Y’all know how much I love me some Lachlan Mount, and his dark ways, and it just seems fitting that these two are orbiting that same sphere. Magnolia, with her kick-ass self, a strong woman rising from the ashes of a past that we’ve only seen hints of. And Moses, a man that honestly scared the bejeezus out of me when we first met him in the Legend Trilogy. These two have “a past,” and it’s got to be one heck of a story to have made these characters into who they are.

In typical Meghan fashion, the questions are not going to be answered quickly nor easily. No, this story’s been 15 years in the making, so a roller coaster ride seems perfectly fitting. You know, all the rises and dips before coming to the end and bringing it all together. I, for one, want to see where Magnolia and Moses go, and cannot wait to get these grabby hands on MADAME TEMPTRESS. Come on, Meghan, put a girl out of her misery…❤️

Ford Spurlock and Ashe Trammell have a long and storied history, meaning, they have known and competed with each other for as long as they can remember. Now that they’re grown, nothing much has changed, except, maybe, for the way that they’re coming to see each other. Their wagers, though, they’re just as fierce as ever, and this one’s a doozy.

I’m a big-time fan of enemies, or, rather, frenemies-to-lovers stories, and MAYBE SWEARING WILL HELP has plenty of this and more. I think that the thing that I like most about books by Lani Lynn Vale is the quirkiness. I mean, yes, there’s romance, yes, there’s some suspense, but I can say for sure that Lani’s characters are definitely not boring or run-of-the-mill, and that’s the real draw for me. I am enjoying the books in her KPD SWAT Generation 2.0 series so much, and it’s because I know that I’m going to have the best time while the stories unfold.

This is the third book in a series, so not only builds on past books, but paves the way for future plot and action. I am entirely enthralled with this world, and cannot wait to read more of what LLV has up her sleeve. ❤️

So, after getting a nice alpha-y taste of Liam Cunningham in ENCHANTING SEBASTIAN, there was no way that I wasn’t all lined up to get more of him in his very own book, ENTICING LIAM, the second book in Kristen Proby’s Big Sky Royals series. Was I disappointed? Not even a little bit, friends.

Liam Cunningham is a man with plenty of ghosts, ghosts that have shaped his dedication to keeping those in his care safe and sound. They’ve also made him more than a little afraid to open his heart. But then along comes Princess Eleanor, or Ellie, youngest member of England’s royal family, and Liam’s unexpected charge.

Away from home, Ellie is light to Liam’s dark, enjoying Cunningham Falls, Montana, and the freedom that being there brings. And spending time watching over Ellie shows Liam a side of her that makes falling for her so very easy, even if he does so kicking and screaming most of the way.

I’m never not going to love a Kristen Proby book. In Fury Lies Mischief is jarring and riveting. From the first page to the last it is a whirlwind journey full of twisted mystery, sinister revelations and explosive chemistry!

Amo Jones is no stranger to shocking dark romance. Her stories are always well developed and carry an ominous undertone that sucks readers in and holds them captured to the very end, which is something I love about her storytelling and writing.

Killian is the Trickster. He’s devilishly handsome and he knows it. Armed with the power to manipulate the mind, he’s destructive and powerful. He’s always about pushing limits.

Saskia is seemingly innocent. She’s a newer recruit to the Midnight Mayhem and part of Perse’s dance performance. Armed with a beautiful face and flawless physique, she’s lethal without evening knowing it. She’s strong and gifted but her life is shrouded in mystery. She is bound and determined to fight back when tested.

These two together are the perfect storm. The push and pull between them is intense and palpable. The chemistry between them ignites the pages. They bring out the bad and good in each other. Literally the perfect duo.

This story is everything we love about Amo Jones. The story is dark and full of twists that keep us enthralled throughout the story. The character development is insanely good, and you see overall growth of characters throughout. The story itself is always unpredictable and leads you further into the mayhem of their world.

Amo just continues to blow us readers away with her creativity. It’s gritty and messed up at times but the stories are just so enthralling. I’ve never read anyone else like her. I can’t wait to see what other revelations unravel within this twisted world.

I’m an avowed Devney Perry fan. She writes it, I’ll read it. But I am not afraid to say that RUNAWAY ROAD, the first book in her new Runaway series, stole my heart and won’t let it go. And, you know what? I’m going to make the claim right here that this is one of my favorite of her books, like, ever.

I really like Londyn. For someone with her past, she’s darned good at picking herself up and making the most of things. But, as far as she’s come, she’s never forgotten the people that made up her family of choice, and the time seems right to reconnect with them. But…Life. Fate apparently has other plans in mind for Londyn, in the place of Summers, West Virginia, and the person of one Brooks Cohen.

Brooks Cohen, y’all. Can I just say, yes, please and thank you. He’s the real deal, a man of integrity and passion that makes settling down in a small town in West Virginia seem like the best idea ever. If there weren’t already many reasons to spend some time getting to know and love Summers, West Virginia, he’s it.

RUNAWAY ROAD is one of those books that goes by in a flash because it’s just so completely enjoyable that it’s hard to put it down. The characters, the chemistry, the setting, and Devney’s gift with words made this an easy 5-star read for me, and one that fans of contemporary small town romance with a pinch of suspense are going to love. Do you want it on your TBR? Yes, you most assuredly do. Grab it, read it, fall in love with these characters, and get ready for more Runaway goodness, because there’s plenty more to come. ❤️

I am not necessarily a fan of royal romances. There, I said it. BUT…When author Claire Contreras writes a book that is a royal romance AND a second chance romance AND a real Cinderella story, I say that I am all in. Triple play for the win, Claire.

I liked Adeline right off the bat. I mean, who hasn’t done things that they wish had never happened? She’s taken herself off to Marbela, the place that feels like a home away from home for her, and is giving the tempest some time to cool down. Adeline is all about doing her thing, and telling it like it is. Yep, even when she’s trash talking the heir to the throne of France, who just happens to be listening.

Was Elias my favorite from the get-go? Well, sure, he’s hot, but not always the nicest guy. But he grew on me. I mean, it can’t be easy to be ‘on’ all of the time, always in the public eye. All he wants is to be the leader that his country needs, while still following his heart. And his heart (and, yep, all of those other parts) wants Adeline.

I was hooked from the beginning of THE SINFUL KING, highly entertained, and rooting for these two to make things work their way. And not only was this book the perfect addition to my TBR, the writing, the characters, and the storyline all combine to create a world that I can’t wait to visit again. If you’re a fan of royal watching, you will love THE SINFUL KING, so make sure to pop it in you’re reading line-up and enjoy. ❤️

A Lovely Confession by Coralee June is a book two of a duet that takes place in the Bullets universe.

This story picks up five years later after a Lovely Obsession. Hunter has disappeared from Roe’s life completely without a trace. Haunted everyday by her stalker, Roe is bound and determined to find Hunter.

Hunter has been living the past five years in a remote town in the middle of nowhere. Seemingly enjoying his simple life, he’s still haunted by the one girl he had to let go.

Through sneaky tactics, Roe develops a plan to reach out to the man that haunts her dreams and will do whatever it takes to find him, even if it means meeting with Gavriel Moretti.

Coralee delivers another fantastic story that’ll leave readers very happy but always salivating for more! I love that I get so attached to her characters and never want their stories to end, it shows true craft of writing and storytelling.

The chemistry between Hunter and Roe is palpable and the emotions their strained relationship evokes through the story is at times beautifully heartbreaking.
