Already Gone, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby and USA Today bestselling author K.L. Grayson is LIVE!

Falling in love is easy…
New Hope, South Carolina is my home. It’s where I grew up, got into trouble, and fell in love for the first time. Scarlett Kincaid was more than the girl next door, she was my best friend, until she decided that small town life wasn’t for her. One minute she was here, and the next she was gone.
The girl I used to fish with down at the creek is now the biggest name in country music. She headlines world tours, has won four Grammys, and I haven’t seen her since. Until today when she sped through town in her fancy car. One look at her big brown eyes was all it took to stir up a whole slew of emotions. Emotions I’d long ago buried and sure as hell don’t have time for.
It’s the aftermath that’s hard…
There are two things in my life that matter. My music, and my dad. Twelve years ago, I packed a bag and chased my dream. Leaving New Hope and escaping the gossip mill was the easiest decision I ever made. I never planned to return, but my father needs me, and he always comes first. So, I did what I had to do. I cut my tour short and came home, despite having a sister who hates me, and a community that doesn’t trust me.
And then there’s Tucker Andrews.
When he propped an arm on the roof of my car, pulled down his sunglasses and flashed his police badge, I nearly swallowed my tongue. Gone is the lanky boy who used to throw rocks at me and pull my pigtails. Tucker is now a six-foot package of brawny, sexy man wrapped in more muscle than I have hit singles. Did I mention he’s a cop and a single dad?
My goal was to help Dad, and get back to my life. But what am I supposed to do when the life that used to strangle me suddenly fits like a glove, and makes me dream of things I never thought I’d have? What happens when the boy I walked away from years ago becomes one of the most important people in my life? I don’t have room for a man much less love.
Right?
Because it’s impossible to hold onto someone who’s already gone.

Tracey’s Review
So, let’s see…small town romance, local girl hits the big time, friends to frenemies to lovers…what in the world would there be not to love? ALREADY GONE, a collaboration between heavy hitters Kristen Proby and K.L. Grayson, is the perfect mix of sweet, steamy, and a wee bit angsty, hitting all the marks and making for a satisfying romance read.
Although I hadn’t previously read any of K.L. Grayson’s books, Kristen Proby is a longtime favorite of mine, so there wasn’t really a chance that I would not thoroughly enjoy this book. The two have crafted a story with plenty of Southern charm that only adds to the enjoyability of ALREADY GONE, and the finally realized love, friendship, and passion between Scarlett and Tucker is swoonworthy, to say the least.
There is just something about the familiarity of friends sliding into that deeper relationship, of the community and heart of a small town, and of two people that are learning to be open and honest enough to share what they’re feeling as they make their way into uncharted territory. The ladies have worked their magic in spades here, writing Scarlett and Tucker, along with their charming cast of secondary characters, in a way that it is impossible not to love, and making ALREADY GONE a delight from start to finish.

About Kristen:
Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.
Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.
Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

About K.L. Grayson
K.L. Grayson resides in a small town outside of St. Louis, MO. She is entertained
daily by her extraordinary husband, who will forever inspire every good quality she
writes in a man. Her entire life rests in the palms of six dirty little hands, and when the
day is over and those pint-sized cherubs have been washed and tucked into bed, you can find her typing away furiously on her computer. She has a love for alpha-males,
brownies, reading, tattoos, sunglasses, and happy endings…and not particularly in that
order.

For over a decade Cassiopeia Vitt has been building an authentic French castle, using only materials and techniques from the 13th century. But when a treasure is unearthed at the construction site—an ancient Book of Hours—a multitude of questions are raised, all pointing to an ancient and forgotten religious sect.
Once the Cathars existed all across southern France, challenging Rome and attracting the faithful by the tens of thousands. Eventually, in 1208, the Pope declared them heretics and ordered a crusade—the first where Christians killed Christians—and thousands were slaughtered, the Cathars all but exterminated. Now a piece of that past has re-emerged, one that holds the key to the hiding place of the most precious object the Cathars possessed. And when more than one person becomes interested in that secret, in particular a thief and a billionaire, the race is on.
From the medieval walled city of Carcassonne, to the crest of mysterious Montségur, to a forgotten cavern beneath the Pyrenees, Cassiopeia is drawn deeper and deeper into a civil war between two people obsessed with revenge and murder.

Excerpt:
Givors, France
Monday, May 4
The Present
11:40 a.m.
Cassiopeia Vitt knew they’d found something important.
How?
Hard to say. Just an instinct that came from years of digging in the dirt, building a castle. It was her labor of love, one that would probably consume her entire adult life. But it was worth it. Especially at moments like this when the French soil finally yielded up its secrets.
“It’s definitely something,” Viktor said.
A dozen men and women who’d also been working at the construction site had stopped, now gathered around where she and her site superintendent stood. Viktor had been digging an exploratory trench for a new masonry wall that was scheduled to be erected next week when he hit something. The stone for it was being quarried and already rose in piles nearby. She knelt down in the muck and peered into the trench, damp from a rainstorm last night. Despite a thin film of mud, a gleam suggested precious metal.
“Looks like gold,” Viktor said.
“Any idea what it is?” she asked.
“From less than an inch exposed?” He laughed. “No idea. There’s only one way to find out. Let me dig some more.”
“I’ll help, it’ll go faster.”
“Because goodness knows patience isn’t one of your best virtues.”
“Or yours,” she teased back.
She’d been working the project for a long time. Best estimate was that the castle stood at about thirty percent complete. Three curtain walls were up, the fourth still on the drawing board. Several inner buildings had likewise been erected, their interiors though still being planned.
And Viktor was right.
Patience was not her virtue.
Together, they lay flat on their stomachs and carefully set about enlarging the find, slow and careful, using all of the proper techniques to keep it uncorrupted. Painstakingly, trowel by trowel, they removed layers of clay, rock, and debris. Finally, they exposed a corner and enough of one side to see that they’d located a gold box.
“Ingénieur, it looks like you’ve got yourself a treasure chest,” Viktor said.
The staff had bestowed upon her the label of engineer during the first year of the project and, while she was generally averse to nicknames, she liked that one.
“Judging by what we can see, I’d say it’s about forty-six centimeters wide and about the same in height,” she said.
“And with that deduction I suggest we take a break. My back is killing me,” Viktor said.
Reluctantly, she agreed. Her own spine also ached from lying on her stomach too long. Yes, she was curious to uncover more. But like Viktor had noted earlier, patience seemed in order.
They left the site and headed toward the high barn that housed the reception center, there to accommodate the several thousand visitors who came every year. Inside, in the back, was an employee kitchen where Cassiopeia brewed them both espressos. Viktor sipped his. She finished hers in two gulps.
“Ready to get back to work and see if we can remove it?” she asked as she laid the cup in the sink.
“Slow down. I said a break not a breath.”
She couldn’t sit still, so she brewed herself a second coffee.
“I’m as curious as you are,” Viktor said. “But that thing has been there a long time. It’s not going anywhere. Drink your coffee.”
She knew he was right, but it was hard to tamp down her excitement. Finding artifacts was not unusual. Through the centuries the locale had played host to a variety of historical buildings, starting with a Roman fortress nearly two thousand years ago. Hundreds of items had been unearthed. Things like a 15th century ceramic jug without a chip. A pewter cape closure with a roughhewn topaz at its center. A thick brown glass bottle still containing dregs of ancient olive oil. And, really cool, a sword, maybe 13th century, in a badly deteriorated leather scabbard. All were important and valuable finds, and she planned on displaying them in a museum that would occupy part of the finished castle one day.
So what had the earth yielded this time?

Tracey’s Review
The thing that I enjoyed the most about THE LAKE OF LEARNING, the second collaboration between authors Steve Berry and MJ Rose, is how much attention to historical detail went into the writing of this book. Yes, liberties were taken, but they were few, and what emerged is a book chock full of interesting facts about the Cathars, along with another mystery to be solved. Given both authors’ love of and involvement in history preservation, this book met my expectations, and then some.
As with THE MUSEUM OF MYSTERIES (Book 1), there is plenty of intrigue, which makes for a more interesting read for me. I would love to see more of Cotton Malone actually solving the mysteries with Cassiopeia, but she’s a pretty intrepid sleuth on her own, and does a fine job of getting to the bottom of things.
As this is a novella, it is shorter, so more like an amuse bouche, leaving me wanting more, more, more. I look forward to further adventures for Cotton and Cassiopeia, and to learning more about history in the process. In the meantime, this is a fine addition to the series, and one that fans of both Steve Barry and M.J. Rose will enjoy.

As a longtime fan of author Devney Perry, I always get excited when I see that a new book is coming our way. Although I love all of her books, when it’s part of a beloved series, a new release is even more special, because I get to revisit the places and characters that I know and love. With the release of THE CANDLE PALACE, Devney brings her Jamison Valley series to a close, and she couldn’t have picked a better book to end with.
I absolutely adore Sara and Milo. Talk about Fate putting two people together that really need each other. Sara is light to Milo during his darkest days, and, when roles reverse, he is her strength when she really needs it, allowing her to find her voice and to stand as a woman unafraid to speak her truth. Devney has a way with words, breathing a life into her stories that make them heartfelt and relatable. I experienced every emotion, Milo’s pain, then determination, Sara’s sadness, then joy. There is nothing about this story and these characters that I did not love, and their story was ‘unputdownable.’
An easy 4.5 stars, THE CANDLE PALACE is a welcome addition to these books that have become some of my favorites. Although it can be read as a standalone, if you haven’t read the rest of the series, now is the perfect time. These books will find a special place in your heart, I guarantee.
Prudence Carlson has been lucky in life. A fulfilling wedding-planning business run with her girlfriends in Colorado, plus the best guy friend ever in her firefighter bestie Finn. All that’s missing from it is a baby. Luckily, it’s the twenty-first century–Pru can take matters into her own hands. She doesn’t need to find true love to create the future love of her life.
Pru and Finn know each other so well and are so comfortable with each other that it’s an almost easy step over the ‘friends only’ line, and the affection and growing feelings that they develop for each other as events unfold make for the perfect segue to an HEA. The fact that both characters are likable, intelligent, and actual adults with real adult lives made this book even more enjoyable, and, if events are prettier than they might be in real life, well, this is a romance, after all.
A strong cast of supporting characters, a cute as a button fur baby, and an entertaining and heartwarming storyline made this book a pleasure to read, and one that is an easy recommendation to fans of sweet and steamy romances with an ending that will ensure a smile.

He came home a hero and lost the only woman he’s ever loved…
John
I have no idea how to survive without my beloved Ava. She had no choice but to move on with her life during my six-year deployment and has now married Eric. I hate him for taking her from me. I’d prefer to wallow in my depression and heartbreak, but the whole damned world wants a piece of the SEAL Team leader who helped capture the world’s most-wanted terrorist. I need help handling the relentless requests, and when Ava sends her new sister-in-law to manage the media circus for me, I’m prepared to hate her on principle. Her brother took my Ava. What else do I need to know about her?
Julianne
It takes five seconds to realize Ava’s ex is going to be the most complicated and difficult client I’ve ever had, but the opportunity to represent the most celebrated man in the world could make my career. I’m determined to do the job, even if I dislike John from the moment I meet him. And I like everyone. So much so that my brothers worry about me being exploited by those who would take advantage of my unwavering love for others. But John… He’s in a class by himself, and his bitterness is a festering wound that I begin to wish I could somehow fix for him. The more time we spend together, the more our mutual disdain morphs into something that feels an awful lot like desire. There’s no way I can want this man, or so I tell myself, and when Eric finds out I’ve developed feelings for the man causing trouble in his new marriage, well…
That’s going to be a hot mess.
The hotly anticipated follow up to Five Years Gone releases on Aug. 6!

Tracey’s Review
Returning to a hero’s welcome, but having lost the one thing that kept him going for six long years has made John West an angry, bitter man. With nothing to look forward to, he’s waiting for the time that he can disappear quietly from the limelight, and just exist. Before he can do that, though, John has obligations to fulfill, and not even his cranky ‘leave me alone’ attitude will keep Julianne Tilden, his newly assigned PR rep from making sure that he does.
When Marie Force released FIVE YEARS GONE, I was enraptured from the first page, and could not put it down. To realize that there was more to come, that Marie was going to give us the rest of the story, John West’s after, I could not have been happier, because I was not ready for the story to be over. She has totally hit the mark with ONE YEAR HOME, writing with the same angsty, passionate voice that made the first book such a win for me.
I adored everything about this book. John and Julianne are perfect together, bringing out things in each other that allow them to be the best version of themselves. This is a story about forgiveness, both of self and others, of taking a leap of faith and saying ‘Yes,’ to what comes next, even if it’s uncertain and uncomfortable, and, most of all, it’s about love, the kind of limitless love that stretches boundaries and sets us free.
It’s helpful to have read FIVE YEARS GONE before diving in to ONE YEAR HOME, as Ava and Eric have a part in this book, too, and it helps make sense of the way that John’s and Jules’s story unfolds. Marie has done a fantastic job of bringing things full circle, and easing the heartbreak that all of these characters have gone through. ONE YEAR HOME is one of the best books I’ve read this year, and I could not have enjoyed it more.

We’re celebrating the release of THE GUY ON THE RIGHT by Kate Stewart! Fall in love with Theo and Laney today!

Strike one – My mother named me Theodore after her favorite chipmunk.
Not cool, Mom.
I’ve spent most of my life answering to Teddy, because I couldn’t make Theo work.
Except for here. College. The place where all bets are off, and I’ve managed to redeem myself. There’s only one problem, my new roommate, Troy, is football royalty, and looks like he stepped off the set of an Abercrombie shoot.
Doesn’t matter, I cook a mean breakfast for his panty parade, and we get along well. And anyway, this year I got the girl. And she’s perfect.
That’s right. Theodore Houseman, former band geek, now marching band rock star has finally landed the girl of his dreams.
Everything is perfect.
That is, until Troy takes a good look at her.
I’m not going down without a fight. As a matter of fact, I’m not going down at all. As glorious as these days may be for my all-star roommate, Laney is my end game.
I may not know much about play strategy, but I’ve been the good guy my whole life. I’ve been listening and I know exactly what women want. Framed in a picture standing next to me, Troy may seem like Mr. Perfect, but he’s underestimating the guy on the right.
Spoiler alert: In this story, the underdog is going to win…

Tracey’s Review
Maybe it’s that I read an awful lot, or maybe it’s just that I’m waaaaay past that stage in life, but I find that New Adult/College romance typically resonates less with me. That being said, this book right here proves that not all things of a type are equal. And maybe it’s due in part to the fact that an underdog story will win my heart most every time, but, whatever the reason, THE GUY ON THE RIGHT by author Kate Stewart is a win for me.
There is nothing in this world that would say that Theo and Laney should be a good fit. I mean, truly, it’s just the old, old story of the great guy being ‘friend zoned’ because he’s the absolute best, the funniest, the most fun to be around, a great partner in crime, you name it, but he’s just not quitethe leading lady’s “type.” So, while these two get on like the proverbial house on fire, well, Laney’s got him firmly in the position of male bestie, much to Theo’s long-suffering dismay.
But, we know how things go, when, after looking at a person in one way, one day you wake up and, BOOM, everything’s different. Sometimes all it takes is time together, getting to know someone really, really well, and letting them get to know you, warts and all. And, in the case of Laney, who has a long and storied history of falling for the pretty boy, this is the case.
Kate Stewart has written a book that is funny and sweet, and with a great message: do not, whatever you do, underestimate the “other” guy. You know, that guy, the one that’s always around, always makes you laugh, the one that you can count on no matter what…the guy on the right. This one will make you smile, laugh, and remember what a good rom-com is all about. Make sure it’s on your TBR and enjoy.

And maybe, just maybe, fall in love with a Highlander. But when the games are over, where do they go from here?

Tracey’s Review
I went into A HIGHLANDER WALKS INTO A BAR with only a few things in mind…it’s by Laura Trentham, an author that I’ve read and enjoyed before, it’s a small town romance, of which I’m a fan, and, it’s set in the South, a win for me (note the blog name… 😘 ). I could not be happier with this book, which left me smiling from start to finish and laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
As hard as she tries not to be, Isabel is wide open, a creative soul intent on hiding her light under a bushel. It takes a very sexy Scot on a mission to retrieve his erstwhile uncle to open her eyes and give her the push she needs to embrace the things that really make her heart sing. Turnabout is only fair, because spending time with Isabel in the very special town of Highland, GA, opens Alasdair’s eyes to the really important things in life. The romance is sweet and sexy, a little bit steamy, but just the right amount for Izzy and Alasdair, and there is plenty of humor, which makes for a nice balance and a really entertaining and heartwarming read.
Quirky supporting characters, including Isabel’s mother and Alasdair’s uncle, make the road to their enlightenment all the more delightful, and help create a very special place that I’m looking forward to visiting again. Which is great, because there is more Highland to come, and I can’t wait. 💖

Author Bio:
Laura Trentham is an award-winning author of contemporary and historical romance, including Then He Kissed Me and The Military Wife. She is a member of RWA, and has been a finalist multiple times in the Golden Heart competition. A chemical engineer by training and a lover of books by nature, she lives in South Carolina.

Return to Evergreen,
the town where Christmas wishes come true…
But only if you know what your heart really wants.
When Lisa takes a last-minute Christmas trip to her hometown of Evergreen, she finds that the historic general store has closed. The place was a beloved local tradition, and she decides to use her skills as a professional retail designer to bring it back to its former glory. She charms a local contractor, Kevin, into working with her, and the pair find themselves facing one surprise after another.
One of the biggest surprises of all is finding the mysterious 25-year-old letter to Santa that never made it to the North Pole. Who really wrote it, and will its request come true at last? And will Lisa and Kevin figure out what they’re truly wishing for?
This sweet small-town romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Incredible Apple Dumplings.

Tracey’s Review
So, as I peruse my very long TBR wondering what to read, I ask myself, is it really ever too early to begin the Christmas books? My answer is a resounding “No!” I’m a sucker for the holiday reads, and Christmas in July (literally!) is just fine by me. To that end, CHRISTMAS IN EVERGREEN: LETTERS TO SANTA by author Nancy Naigle was just what the doctor ordered. A sweet romance, set in the best little town in Vermont ever, and at Christmas time, to boot. Win, win, win.
It’s nice to find a romance that creates a spark, but leaves plenty to the imagination. The relationship between Lisa and Kevin is born of a common goal, and, while it isn’t slow, it pairs nicely with the small town, tight-knit community feel of the book, and is actually pretty wonderful.
This was the perfect little reading detour, and lifted my spirits in a lovely way. Fans of the Hallmark Channel’s non-stop holiday line-up will love this book, as it is based on the 2018 movie of the same name. Romance readers looking for a respite from this cruel cruel summer will find this little story to be just the change of pace they need, and the sweet and innocent message of love, forgiveness, and following our dreams makes for a read that is well worth it.

I have turned into their worst nightmares.
And I will not rest until they pay.
For everything.

Tracey’s Review
Well, they say, if you can’t beat them, join them. And that’s exactly what Natalie Bishop’s done. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of the fire ignited by the Upper East Siders, Natalie is not about to go down without a fight. And she knows just how to give them a fight that they will never forget. But in her quest for revenge, will Natalie lose herself?
The Cruel series by author K.A. Linde is a study in the art of the game. Reading these books is like having a reality show on loop, with drama galore, and shenanigans that you just can’t look away from. As Natalie evolved into the newest version of herself in this last book, I found myself wondering whether there would be the redemption that I was looking for, anything that made the Crew less monstrous than they appeared to be. The intrigue, the backstabbing, the non-stop drama had me waiting and wondering.
Kyla keeps the reader guessing right up until the very end, with twist after turn after jaw-dropping revelation, and the build-up is both nerve wracking and delicious. In the end, she delivers with her usual flair, making both the climb up the rollercoaster and the sheer drop worth every single minute, giving the perfect wrap-up to this series.
Lose yourself to the dark and glamorous underbelly of the Upper East Side in the second book in USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde’s new billionaire romance Cruel Trilogy.
I finally have everything I ever wanted–fame and fortune and literary success.
Only one problem: I lost my muse.
He was tall, dark, and handsome. Broody, enigmatic, alluring, and right for me in every way.
Until he wasn’t. Until I lost everything.
And I can’t lose it all again. I’ll do anything to keep it.
Even seeing him again…
