If you’re a fan of romance audio, there is no way that you are not familiar with the dulcet tones of narrator extraordinaire, Joe Arden. But he didn’t stop there, because Joe can now add romance author to his resumรฉ, and proudly. THE CHAMELEON EFFECT is Joe’s first solo project, and it just goes to show that the man with the golden voice is a man of many talents.
I’m all for a story that’s got a secret anything going on, and THE CHAMELEON EFFECT has a whopper. Shenanigans aside, though (and there were plenty!), the thing that I liked the most is that this story is written, in large part, from Liam’s point of view, and that’s a rare thing in Romance Land. It made for a very different experience, and really helped make this story stand out.
Liam and Raven have great chemistry right from the get-go, and I love that she’s such a kick-butt chick, one that I would totally want to hang out with. The way that Liam relates to not just Raven, but to his family, especially his niece, Lexi, and his best friend Devontay makes Liam more even more likable, and were some of my favorite scenes in the book.
THE CHAMELEON EFFECT is a win for me, and I hope that Joe’s got more books coming our way. In the meantime, I cannot wait to get this story in my ears, because Joe’s voice was narrating in my head the entire time I was reading, and that, my friends, is a very good thing.
